I would've suggested making it whoever got the second place in terms of likes, but that just reduces it to a tie between Lily and Dirk... which is a bit more convenient than whoever gets randomly selected, I suppose. Alternatively, we can ask @Spiffy who Cedric would make the first mate in-character, if that's an acceptable solution?

Alright, with Old Amsterdam's second vote applied to Bonesword and Yoshua abstaining from his second vote, we welcome our first mate! He may be 9, but he's a skilled swordsman, controls plants, and is the only one with pre-existing Grand Line experience!

Now it's time to do the biggest part, the hardest work. Time to discuss how everyone came together, current relationships, crew name, and how you got your ship. Spiffy, remember to work on that ship and let me know what you've come up with. Name, type of ship, amenities, etc.

I'd like to request that Caesar be the last addition to the ship.

I've had this idea that he was out swimming, far from Karate Island he calls his home, and was 'saved' from being lost at Sea.

Being lazy, he rolled with it.

I don't mind what position Dirk is introduced to the crew, but he ought to have gotten in with them as a result of either stowing away on their ship, or asking to go with them without telling them why he wants to go. Either way, I imagine he could chafe with some members of the crew at first by dint of being completely socially inept and relatively skill-less, but eventually figure out how to be friends with them and what he can do to assist, both on land and at sea.

For our crews' name I like the sound of The Red Rum Pirates. For our ship, Ban mentioned the Booze Cruise as an affectionate name the crew gives her and BC said The Rum Runner should be the ship's official name. What do you all think?

Also @Asura, I had an idea of how Cedric meets up with Izuza and how they aquire their ship. Izuza was finishing up a ship and the buyer bailed on her. She became distraught and with Cedric's years of saved up belli, he was able to pay off the loans she used to get materials. He gives her a hefty sum as well and offers a position on the very ship she built.

Alright, to expand on my idea after proper thought....

Caesar would have been out swimming, on one of the rare occasions he does anything resembling training, ending up a good ways out from land. From there he would've been floating, relaxing in the water and enjoying the sun, when the Rum Runner comes upon him, 'saving' him from being lost at Sea, a notion he doesn't bother to correct. From there he would likely just not bother leaving, having started forming ties to these nice people who bothered to 'help' him, offering his assistance in their travels.
