If you mean a name, animal imitation. If you mean an actual description of what it does, she can use the abilities of any animal.

I'm guessing I misinterpreted what you meant, but still, figured I'd try to help.

I could be wrong, but I always saw that as for the benefit of the reader or viewer so we know she's using her abilities. In a text format, you can just describe her channeling the animal's spirit and then performing the resulting actions. No need to describe the spectral animal shape.

I'm with Wraith on that one. It's a very visual thing for the viewer due to not being able to go "I call upon the power of the mighty bear", since that'd be whack.

This. It goes to Pokémon levels of you shouting your attack to your pokémon which lets the opposing trainer instantly counter.

For the record, I believe this is the first pokémon reference I think we've had.

So long as you describe what she's doing, we'll know.

I'm glad folks are joining me on the Into the Spider-Verse hype train. I was lucky enough to be at Comic-Con and see the Hall H presentation... and it was incredible. The art style is breathtaking, all the VA choices are perfect, and I'm pretty sure Lord & Miller are physically incapable of doing any wrong.
