Cheryl or “Cherrie” to her parents, is a girl who has hit puberty a little earlier than her fellow classmates. She's a few inches taller than girls of the same age and is far more serious and composed. Her hair is a bright blonde, often concealed by a beret or wrapped in a ponytail, but Cheryl has no opposition to wearing it long as long as she isn't forced to put it into cutesy arrangements like pigtails. Her eyes are a emerald green and her posture is generally composed into an upright, formal stance; which, is not that absurd considering her family's predisposition to careers in law enforcement and the military. As a student of a private school and a conservative disposition, Cheryl doesn't tend to have too much interest in fashion or pointless pieces of clothing. She's used to wearing buttoned shirts and formal attire when she isn't in any form of athletic wear. Outside of camp, one could find her wearing one of three or four outfits and that's about it.

But at Camp Red Rock, Cheryl has decided to pack for treks through the woods, swimming in the nearby lake, and generally being comfortable as the cool mountain air comes down to ease off the Summer heat. Beyond that, she has a duffle bag filled with essentials that she needs to survive and generally doesn't look too out of place with the other kids who are stuck in rural North Dakota with her. One could expect that Cheryl has whatever she needs and maybe what anyone else might need given the situation requires it.

Personality

While it is no surprise that the Digidestined who represents reliability would be reliable, Cheryl is definitely more complicated than that. An outspoken girl with a talent for being overly prepared due to her innate fears and insecurities, the blonde-haired girl has more or less been a emotional mess for as long as she can remember. Up until she was twelve years old there had been no stability or security in her life; her father was in the military and her life was constantly moving.

While other girls made longstanding friendships, she made short-lived acquaintanceships. For the most part what this would do to Cheryl was make her fear not only the unknown but also to doubt her life could ever be secure and normal. Due to this lack of normal, healthy relationships with other children she found herself not understanding the subtle finesse of conversation. Where other children know how to read social cues and visible physical tics, Sheryl can't. As a result Cheryl often takes the “be honest and never lie” mentality that her mother raised her with and takes it to its most “logical” conclusion and speaks her mind with absolute no finesse or filter. If someone is acting stupid she will tell them they are acting stupid, she isn't afraid of speaking her mind no matter how inappropriate it may be, and generally isn't very nice despite not meaning anything by it. Cheryl is never actively trying to antagonize someone, it just happens due to her social skills [or lack thereof].

That aside, Cheryl is dependable, prepared, and organized. She was in the Girl Scout's of America for a short time and has obsessively looked to her father as a benchmark. She's absolutely afraid of getting sick, being seen as “weak”, and generally not meeting the ridiculous standards she's set for herself. In her spare time all she does is read and watch things related to survival, disease, and cooking. After all, if she cannot rely or trust anyone else in the future, what is exactly going to happen to her? Such a question is one she asks herself frequently despite her life finally seeming to become secure with the constant moving from state-to-state being a thing of the past. But her parents have said similar things in the past and life has reminded them that they can't make such promises. It's not that Cheryl thinks her parents are liars, she just doesn't believe things will turn out like they think. But such paranoia and pessimism is probably a bigger flaw for her than even her extreme lack of social skills.

The idea of being in the mountains with a bunch of kids she doesn't care about is stressful, for sure, but perhaps she can find something good about the experience?

History Synopsis

Cheryl Blackwell-Carter is a military brat, through-and-through. Her father was a United States Army Medic and a fairly capable one at that. As a result Cheryl has lived mostly from place-to-place, always moving, and never making long-lasting friendships. With her father's constantly shuffling life finally easing up, the Blackwell-Carter family has finally found a home in North Dakota and with a second child on the way, maybe this time it's a permanent situation, though Cheryl has her doubts as she constantly fears making friends and being forced to abandon them when it comes time to move again. Her father assures her that they are done moving, thinking her lack of confidence and disinterest in making friendships is something that will need to be addressed.

Perhaps that is in part of the reason that in the Summer of 1999 she was sent off to Camp Red Rock in rural North Dakota. While not being particularly thrilled to be away from her family over the Summer, Cheryl understands that what her father thinks is best for her; however, with that said she still can't help but feel a sense of loneliness considering the bulk of her childhood was spent with her father away from home. She looks at Camp Red Rock as an opportunity to prove to her father that she's ready for whatever happens and whatever their family needs from her.

Misc

Additional details about Cheryl include an avid interest in books, a enjoyment of swimming and hiking, and a preference for the autumn weather above all else. She is voiced by Alexis Tipton.

Betamon is innately curious, optimistic, and honest. When there's a challenge in front of her, Betamon is the first one to formulate a plan if a more impulsive digimon hasn't already jumped into the fray in the first place. However, Betamon is not cowardly by any stretch of the word, even if unprompted courage frustrates them in tense situations. Betamon's flaws are known to them and they are always second-guessing themselves, which in situations where initiative is more important than planning is quite dangerous and problematic. But perhaps it is something of a double-edged sword, knowing one's flaws speaks to a potent wisdom even if they don't have the strength to discard them at important times.

Ultimately, what Betamon values the most above all else is her friends; even if she cannot fully understand or trust their decisions from time-to-time. The bond between them, their fellow digimon, and their partner is very strong and they hold a strong sense of self.

Okay I kid. But seriously, yes, @Inkarnate is right about me being all good with nicknames. If anything, it can be used to make the repeated mentions of the digimon's name to a minimal amount. I, for one, will be giving my Conrad's Patamon its own nickname ...as soon as I think of one that sums it up. >.>

Also, reviews will come later today for sure. Yesterday was the planned day, but the internet connection I'm currently using wasn't really reliable yesterday. Plus, other reasons hindered my mindset. Thankfully, that is no longer the case.

Bianca is about average height for a girl her age. She has a slender frame, that's typical of girls her age. She was born with smooth fair skin, which doesn't get tanned easily. Her light blonde hair is long and wavy, that goes past her waist. She has a heart shaped face, with a small nose, large, expressive eyes that are a deep violet color, a trait that runs in her family. Her eyes usually have a childlike sparkle, as well as long eyelashes attached to them. She goes out of her way to make sure she looks "cute", and works to maintain it.

Bianca is very much into fashion, and spends a lot of money on it. She has many wardrobes filled with enough clothes to dress a small country. Her outfits tend to vary, but her style can be described as girly but still elegant. Ruffles, bows and flower motifs being common elements in her clothing choice. They usually contain a lot of purple, her favorite color. She also has a preference for skirts and dresses over pants. Her current outfit consists of a lavender, short sleeved peasant blouse decorated with roses, and a darker purple corset design in the middle. On the bottom, she wears a frilly purple skirt. Her legs are covered by lavender tights that are decorated with a subtle vine pattern. Her choice of footwear are a pair of purple flats, with a bow on the toe area. She accessorizes with a lot of emerald jewelry (necklace, earrings, bracelet, and a ring) as well as a cute purple bow headband in her hair.

Personality

Bianca is a friendly, cheerful, and optimistic girl. In spite of any chaos that may be going on, she manages to put on a smile. Despite being from a wealthy family, she doesn't believe it makes her better than anyone else. She spends time around many kinds of people from different backgrounds, and tries to find good in everybody. She can come across as silly and childish. Bianca is a feminine girl, and she has an affinity for cute things. Kittens, puppies, ponies, etc. They all make her squeal excitedly.

Bianca is a compassionate, nurturing girl. She is always there to help others, and is normally really sympathetic and empathetic with anyone who is in trouble. She cares deeply for others. In regards to this she can be a bit rash. If she sees something threatening someone she cares for she will rush in to danger not thinking of the consequences of her actions. While she is not stupid, she is very much naive when it comes to the real world, and is easily tricked,

Bianca is the type that wears her heart on her sleeve. It is easy to hurt her feelings, but it doesn't take much to cheer her up again. Growing up she was always told romantic bed time stories involving a damsel in distress and a knight in shining armor. Even today, she enjoys fairy tales, and does believe in magic. As a result of this, Bianca loves love. She believes it's the best feeling in the world. She believe's everyone, no matter how much of a jerk they may be deserves love. Her beliefs have been instilled into her since young, and she's very outspoken and passionate about them. Not gonna lie, Bianca is boy crazy. Her mom says she gets it from her. She's a hopeful romantic, and often acts flirty towards boys she likes. She gets crushes on cute boys very easily, and she dreams about having a boyfriend. She gets easily attached to people she's grown to like, and it upsets her when the object of her affections doesn't share her feelings. She also likes to tease other kids she thinks would make a cute people.

Her brother died fairly recently, and his death saddened and confused the girl. She's known him her entire life, and now that he's gone, she doesn't know what to do. She does get driven to tears when being reminded of him. Still, she tries very hard to maintain a positive attitude for the purpose of making new friends at camp. It's a rare occasion where she gets to see kids her own age, no one wants to be friends with someone who's sad all the time.

History Synopsis

Bianca Leonhart was born to Orianna Leonhart, and her husband, an Italian man named Antonio. He was wealthy too, but not as much as her Orianna. Bianca was born into the aristocratic Leonhart family, and they lived in New York City. Orianna had always wanted a daughter, and was thrilled to finally get her wish when she married Antonio, and had Bianca. Bianca lived a very extravagant lifestyle. Her parents showered her with love and affection, as well as whatever she wanted. Bianca loved her family and they loved her, it was as simple as that. She has an older brother named Callaway, who was her mother's son from a previous marriage. Her mother doesn't like talking about the man that fathered Callaway. Only saying that it's in the past now, and true love won out in the end. Even though he's only her half brother, she cares about him very much, even though they disagree on a number of things. Her mother read her daughter many fairy tales when she was growing up. They usually involved lovers overcoming all odds to be together. These stories instilled in her the belief that love can conquer any obstacle.

Callaway was the serious one of the two siblings. He never interacted much with the family, claiming he was "focusing on his studies." Bianca didn't see why he felt the need to take his schoolwork so seriously at the expense of his family relationships. One day she went to his room to talk to him about it, but when she entered her brother's room, she found him in bed with another man. After an argument erupted following the incident, Bianca quickly accepted the fact her brother was gay, and promised not to tell their parents about it until he was ready. The pair became much closer after this incident. They often went shopping together, and Bianca would often talk about cute boys, even though that often embarrassed Calloway to no end, he still loved his sister very much, and was very protective of her.

Bianca was homeschooled by scholars and tutors that were handpicked by her parents. She did well enough, but to be honest academia was not her thing. That was more her brother's area of interest. Bianca cared more about finding her one true love, and getting her own happy ending. Just like the ones in the stories she was told. Heck, she rarely ever saw anyone else her own age that wasn’t related to her. Still, at the very least she had her brother to talk to.

Then, one day it happened. Her brother was taken out of her life rather suddenly. He had died in a car accident where the other driver was drunk. Suddenly, Bianca was an only child. Her brother’s death saddened the entire family, especially Bianca. Yes, they didn’t agree on everything, but she expected that he would be in her life forever, how could this happen? Now, she spent so much time in her room, crying, and not speaking to anyone.

As for why Bianca is at camp, it was actually her parents idea. It was to help her make some friends her own age before she started attending a proper school. It was also to help her get her mind off of this tragedy. Getting out of New York for a while might be good for her. Even though Bianca wasn't sure about the whole camping experience, what she read about it was not good. Still, she looking foward to meeting people her own age.

Azalea takes after her tamer in many ways. She is a friendly, cheerful, and optimistic Digimon. She always seems to happy about everything. Okay so, just a few things with the character sheets that need to be clarified and should be corrected, it will be enforced with future sheets as well.

Firstly, because a banner will be made of the completed characters, please have an anime-styled image for your character.

Second, when it comes to the [Crest/Digivice Color], there seems to be some confusion. That spot should only have one color, we are going off of the first season in which the digivices defaulted to a shade of blue and then turned into the crests' color when Ultimate digivolution is achieved. So pick one color please.

Third, and this is admittedly for my own purposes, please have your characters' CS color be the same/at least similar/another shade of your crest color. Just as an example, if I choose Red for my crest color, then my CS should reflect that and either have Red or alternatively Crimson, Brick, etc., etc. I'm also asking for no overlap for colors between characters. If you wanna duke it out for a color or want a GM to choose between you, that's fine, but we'll also step in if everyone's a different shade of blue cause what the hell guys there's a million colors don't all pick blue.

The first season digivices had primarily one solid color for the body, and one other (usually similar) color for the buttons/accents. But I'll change my character sheet to have it the presumed primary color, for simplification.

One suggestion I have, since several people have yet to post in the OOC, is to @ everyone again for a roll call of sorts to make sure they know they're suppose to be here and still interested.

@Hero Also are you suggesting with the color similar to your "characters" bit, to make the digimon another similar shade of the color you chose for the crest? That wasn't entirely clear.

That reminds me, you asked about Palmon/Gatomon. Considering the significance of the three Celestial Digimon aka possible future plot devices, the line involving Palmon, Patamon, and Lopmon are temporarily restricted unless a good enough case is made/can possibly change the GM's mind about it.
