• Age: Although currently looking to be a girl of only about 14, Shiro has lived from before the writing of the Kojiki to the Taishō era.
• Gender: Female
• Race: Human (Sacrifice)
• Appearance: Youthful and short. That isn't to say that her appearance is normal aside from the colouration; when agitated her eyes become distinctly less than human and her teeth are always slightly... too sharp and odd. Her torso is quite extensively tattooed, originally a clear and unmissable marking of her sacrificial status, but now a better indication of what she carries.
• Personality: Although seeming quite polite, Shiro can be quite vengeful if spited--denying "sacrifices" in the past was certainly one way to make her extremely irritable. But time has done a lot to mellow her and the serpent out, which has really brought the other things they've always had in common to the forefront... a love of drinking, and a love of girls. Cute girls, sexy girls, elegant ladies, shy ones with nice bodies... Shiro is very open with her affection for all of them. And that's even before she starts working through her prodigious alcohol resistance.
• Abilities: Shiro is, ultimately, the physical vessel of all the spiritual power of perhaps the mightiest serpent to have ever existed in her world--one could dispute whether the World-Serpent exists, or if Ryūjin would qualify, but otherwise there is little competition. This has a number of effects even when she seems almost completely human: she can talk to snakes, conjure smaller snakes, and call out to any larger or more mystical ones that may exist. But ultimately, people are aware of this discrepancy, that she isn't really that human, even before she sheds her skin to reduce her age or heal some injury, or displays more strength than her body should actually be capable of.
  She can freely transform herself towards or away from that full serpent form, growing venemous fangs, scales, or stopping halfway as some form of naga far more able to demonstrate inhuman physical abilities. Or, where size allows, she can become a truly giant snake... and then an even more giant snake... and then an even more giant snake. All the way up to a serpent capable of filling eight valleys and wrapping around eight hills, with eight heads and eight tails.
  Atop her snakelike abilities is the possession of the Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi, usable either by manifesting the sword itself, or simply embedding it in one limb or another. It can direct the wind, augment her strikes with a mighty gale, or just go the fun razor-wind route as the sword gets swung with manic abandon.
• Skills: Although (literally) monstrously strong and good at surviving, Shiro is not particularly knowledgeable on the specifics of how to fight, or good fighting technique, instead being all about brute force and animalistic instinct. Her use of the Kusanagi epitomises this, treating it more like a sharp club than a sword in any sense. Of course, when you can become a serpent of uncontested size, it tends to work out fairly well.
  Her basic survival skills are good, as is her ability to care for her own clothing.
• Backstory: In Shiro's youth, a mighty serpent terrorised the region, and nobody hoped to oppose it. But the serpent was somewhat intelligent and could be appeased: if families would sacrifice their daughters, then they would be spared its wrath. Indeed, in most regards, could the serpent not be considered no different from the other kami? Perhaps this is how Shiro was lucky to survive, even though already marked for sacrifice, approaching it without fear and displaying a somewhat... unwholesome interest in the serpent's choice of sacrifices. She gained a reprieve and was tasked with being the mighty reptile's messenger, the one to acquire and find further sacrifices, the priestess of such a great monstrosity.
  In the end, they over-reached, moving beyond the mere humans to the earthly kami; noteworthy enough that a certain more well known deity was able to trick the serpent and decapitate it, extracting from the body a fine sword... and leaving, of course, the carcass. Dead and harmless were it not for all the fear and reverence it had been accorded and the strength of its spirit. But it wasn't something attached to a place of nature or a concept, and eagerly sought out a proper vessel for itself: the one marked sacrifice it hadn't eaten. Over the many long years, it couldn't be said that a distinction could continue to be drawn between Shiro and the serpent, her similarities were what earned her survival in the first place and after so long... it would not be incorrect to say that Shiro is the Yamata-no-Orochi.
  During the many centuries since, Shiro did little that she hadn't been done before, albeit with less human sacrifice involved. She sought out drink and attractive maidens before moving on, bringing ruin to those that would reject or assault her in any way. After the Battle of Dan-no-ura, she took the time to retrieve the stolen sword, and then disappeared into the background of history once again, watching with boredom as the world became less... fantastic, with less supernatural intervention. More organised, with less families remotely on their own to terrorise and court... and trains. Such hazardous things, trains.
  Of course she leapt at the opportunity to move to a world where all the fantastic creatures and more were still active; where there were more cute girls to approach directly that wouldn't be so terrified of her appearance.

Appearance: In all instances except in the cases where her body has been extremely damaged, she will highly prefer to maintain a Feminine humanoid form. Her proportions and height altering based on her internal water content. However due to the nature of her species, she cannot produce articles of clothing, and thus she generally packs a varying degree of maid outfits suitable to her current size. As well as her personal favourite 'one size fits all' enchanted maid-wear (see above)
Personality:
Gentle, Eloquent, Benevolent. These are the words that can be summarise the nature of Shamir, She acts with respect and grace for her charges, but is also not completely subservient to them. A maid in her eyes should always be ready to help, but should never let themselves be clouded by the nature of the person they serve. Nor should they be picky in whom they serve. The richest and most powerful are not the ones in need of a maid.

In turn given her nature. She is the type to endure a fight until the enemy tires rather then seek to cause harm to the enemy. It is not her place as both a maid and a healer to lay a hand on another person in violence, Nore is it her place to cause injury to that person. Though sometimes in order to protect those that she serves and their property it is necessary to end a fight in a cleanly manner, hence why she has proficiency with a variety of restraining or sealing magics, Things that do not bring lasting harm to an enemy.

It goes to the point that she will unless she is restrained. Provide medical care to a enemy if she is asked. She will not fight alongside them if their views on the world are 'evil'. But it is her duty to be impartial in providing care. It is a heroes job to slay a villain not hers and in her perfect world nobody should have to suffer.

Abilities:
Slime Physiology:
As a slime her body has a surprising amount of natural durability. She most sharp objects just pass harmlessly through her, or get lodged in her body, only to be digested. She can form tentacles, morphing to grab, reach, and restrain things, and while her physical ability isn't individually impressive, having an entire slime restrain something could get difficult. As her body is naturally sticky and secretes a viscous fluid, her grip is something else entirely.

She also maintains the ability to change size depending on her water content as all slime do. Finally due to being the standard species of slime. She maintains incredible regenerative properties except when it relates to her 'core' damage to this core can result in considerable damage to her overall integrity. From making it difficult to stay solid, to memory lose. To all the way to death. It will regenerate over time, but at a much much slower rate.

Sanitising Gel:
A slime's gel is a heavy disinfectant perfect for applying as a Salve to bandages, as well as making it good for cleaning those hard to clean stains

Skills:
As a maid of course it falls to her to be very versatile in skills that would be crucial to maintaining the homestead. She has proficiency in Sewing, Cleaning, Cooking, Production of exotic food items (She can carbonate water inside of her!), Maintaining Equipment (Polishing/Sharpening), Superb Conversation skills (as it falls to her to be an ear for the woes of others as well as to provide advice), Lockpicking (through the usage of her body to move the pins) after all how is master going to get into the house if he/she loses his/her keys, and many other skills required of her as a maid.

Healing Magic:
If being a maid is her passion, Then being a healer is her natural forte. Her healing prowess is remarkable, able to heal near any injury short of death. She is capable of confining her magic to a short-ranged powerful effect or spread it out in a large area of effect to relieve fatigue and heal moderately. The AOE of course does not distinguish from from foe. But it has a natural calming effect as if akin to relieving muscular tension. To put it simply, its very difficult to kill people in her care.

While she cannot 'remove' a curse due to her lack of knowledge of how to do so, by combining it with her other magical craft. She can restrain the curse to a specific area of the body, It will require repeated treatment to maintain and isn't a cure all. But it can slow a curses progress until a proper removal can be performed by a specalist.

Sealing/Restraint Magic:
Her 'combat' magic as it were relates to the sealing and/or restraining of things be it magical or physical. The strength of her Seals/restraints depends both on what she is restraining and the amount of energy poured into their production. Generally speaking they take the form of Slime-like chains that bind the enemy in a steel-like grasp and in the process of sealing. The spirit/cursed is held within a gel-like membrane. She prefers using this magic as it provides little to no harm to her opponent, allowing her to maintain her vow of causing no lasting harm.

Backstory: Born as part of a royal batch split straight from the then current ruler. The slime though she'd be forced to look forward to a (in her eyes) boring life of leading a entire nation in the event the current leader died. In reality the slime had a different disposition. She wanted to help others in a way that was much more mobile then legislature and government.

Thus when her slightly maniacal twin sister wanted to usurp her position by beating her in a game she could of very easily won. Not only did she forfeit secretly by playing worse on purpose and thus she was pushed back a step in line in terms and her sister would instead take her place. Still a princess but delayed in the throne she had plenty of time to herself now to reject her royal duties even more!

Thus this is how she began travelling to find work as a maid. She even met a rather peculiar Shoggoth when trying to find work. Honestly what was that Slimes problem. Just because they both applied to the same guy that one time didn't mean she had to keep trying to show-off whenever they met, Besides a silly eldritch slime could never beat the original tried and true.

• Appearance:
  What do you expect a Shoggoth to look like? Roses and rainbows? Well, she doesn't. Vel looks like she properly crawled out of a nightmarish realm of eldritch horrors. She might as well have. Her appearance changes a bit depending on the mood, but normally her slime takes the appearance of a nurse uniform or maid outfit.
• Personality:
  Vel is...well unsettling, to say the least. She loves cleaning. She loves taking care of others. She absolutely loves having to take care of people. There's some sort of primal urge there that she must satisfy. Indeed, she's both the perfect maid and perfect person to nurse someone back to health. Of course, she says prevention is much better than healing once sick - and since her body naturally seems to produce immune system boosting drugs among other things, she makes full use of that fact. Then why, you ask, is she unsettling?
  
  Whatever you do, don't refuse her treatment. She will make sure you are well taken care of. Oh, and, well, she seems to uh, find some sort of...enjoyment in watching people get hurt. So there's that.
• Abilities:
  Shoggoth Physiology: While she is a slime, her body is slightly different than her gooey cousins, though they share many similarities. Ingesting liquid for example, will cause her to increase in size. Unlike her cousins however, Shoggoths can digest almost anything given enough time, and can use it to increase their mass should they desire. As well, her body has a surprising amount of natural durability. She most sharp objects just pass harmlessly through her, or get lodged in her body, only to be digested. She can form tentacles, morphing to grab, reach, and restrain things, and while her physical ability isn't individually impressive, having an entire shoggoth restrain something could get difficult. As her body is naturally sticky and secretes a viscous fluid, her grip is something else entirely.
  Cleansing Blood:
  Vel's body produces a rather potent mix of health aides naturally that can heal a number of ailments as well as improve the body of something that ingests them. She has learned to both utilize this as discreet injections (her favorite method), and through well, magic. She can increase a persons resistance to certain ailments, temporarily increase someones physical ability, agility, reaction time, mental acuity, etc, you name it. If its a physical function, she can supercharge it in a person. _{With some side effects which may require you to stay in her care}
  Purposeful Malpractice:
  Too much of a good thing, can be a double edged sword. She can affect others with potent 'debuffs' of many kinds. Poison, a paralytic venom, a narcotic that makes them drunk, unable to tell friend from foe - you want her to affect a persons physical state, she can likely do it in some fashion.
• Skills: Cleaning, cooking, taking care of injured patients, what more could one expect of a maid? That is what she is, and what she always will be.
• Backstory:
  Vel's a shoggoth. A rare breed of slime that is an inherently servile species. Ready to serve their employers and whosoever happens to be in their care. Their origin is a obscured in mystery, but its said their a race of slimes that were once in service to some obscure, now-extinct nobles of Terra Nova. As you might expect, this has made Vel a fairly adept maid and caretaker.
  
  Born and raised in her families clinic in the once prosperous land of Silver Sun. Vel was quick to pick up on both maidenly duties and nursing. Her jobs were simple as a little Shoggoth - clean, and take care of the patients, which she was more than happy to do. And when she came of age as far as Slimes went, she decided she wanted to test her skills and learn more about how to properly take care of others. So she left Silver sun and traveled for a time, whereupon she applied to work alongside a rather uppity Slime who thought herself a maid.
  
  Just what was that brainless ooze's problem? Trying to outdo her like that when she wanted just a friendly competition! The nerve of that slime, always starting things when they should much better be working together. That was fine though. As a top-maid and caretaker, she wouldn't let herself be outdone. Such competitions would continue every time they met in their work.
  
  After some time, eventually the Shoggoth heard of Silver Suns ailments. Worse, the Clinic was taken! Now, now, that wouldn't do at all, would it! Silver Sun was now without its best medical practitioners! She couldn't let that stand! So she traveled back to Silver sun, deciding that she would rid the town of what ails it and help in whatever method she could - and start by getting her Clinic back.

• Personality: Leith is a man powered by ego and ego alone. He loves nothing more than to be showered with (in his mind) the much deserved attention his work provides. Thankfully, he’s long since come to the conclusion that it is easier to catch flies with honey, as it were, devoting much of his efforts to improving the lives of those around him. Both to gain their admiration and to show them how “amazing, magnanimous, attractive and humble” he truly is.
  
  He also has a tendency to get overly involved in things he should really let others handle his work, often sometimes to disastrous effect. It’s hardly HIS fault you primitive savage’s farm caught fire. He’s invention would have totally worked if you hadn’t messed it up somehow. But don’t worry! He’ll help you clean up your mess.
• Abilities:
  Better Living Through Machina: Leith is a natural inventor and tinkerer. Given the right materials and a thorough understanding of the core principles, he can theoretically construct just about any machine imaginable. From autonomous farming golems to world destroying doomsday weapons, all he needs is an unlimited budget and books to read.
  As such he prefers to make more simple gadgets; Replicating various abilities he’s seen in the new world to lesser extents. At the moment though, he only has his favorites on hand including…
  
  Shockwork Cane: An advanced and compact clockwork generator that Leith uses as his primary means of self defense. While its wielder is passable at best with his...swordplay, the difference is made up for as the cane delivers painful electrical shocks to whomever he bludgeons. Secretly he has named it ‘Bettsy’ and can sometimes be heard complimenting it during its daily hand winding.
  
  Foam Bombs: A set of refillable brass canisters that fit comfortably in the palm of ones hand. When a small switch on the side is flipped, two internal chambers mix together and form a compound made from simple starches and gelatins, which burst out from a release port. The result is a thick, fast drying foam that is surprisingly durable, one canister’s worth being able to hold up to a thousand pounds of weight. With only the occasional accidental discharge to watch out for.
• Skills: Engineering,metallurgy, chemistry, machining, praising himself. and dashingly handsome in a suit. Or a dress, if you shove enough alcohol in him and ask nicely.
• Backstory: Born in the city of New London, Leith was the son of famed Minister of Frogien Taxation, Sir Bradly Walton; also known as the Queen’s Gentlemen for his harrowing life of manly adventure, stiff upper lip attitude, and impeccable manners in the service of Her Majesty. Being the son of such a respected man, you might expect that Leith’s childhood was one of strict discipline and noble doctrine.
  
  ...but you’d be dead wrong. Sir Walton was, at least privately, a known softie. Leith and his five sisters were basically spoiled to their core, the grizzled veteran basically buckling to even their slightest whims. So, for much of his early life, Leith enjoyed lavish parties, expensive boutique dresses(more a whim of his sisters, not that he seemed to mind) and suits. However he grew bored as he entered his teenage years, finding little joy in the material pleasures that had sustained him for so long.
  
  Eventually, while out on his morning walk, Leith came across a public demonstration of the submersible golems used to trawl the Thames for debris and instantly fell in love. There was just something engrossing about the polished brass beings that begged for his attention and it was not to be ignored.
  
  Quickly he enrolled in the University of London’s School of Machina Arts and Sciences, his lackluster performance from prior years in school being thankfully ignored thanks to a generous donation from Daddy. It was...a difficult adjustment period to be sure. For one, while he was certainly...an enthusiastic learner, he was pretty much ignorant of any sort of mechanical knowledge when he began his attendance. That, combined with his fellow students regarding him with little more than an eccentric spoiled party goer with a passing fancy, left him with few friends.
  
  It took Leith three years to finally pass his freshmen courses. Three years of the most regiorous study of his life, not just of machina but all the sciences he could get his hands on. And in that time, the dismissal of his peers had evolved to outright mockery, even well respected teachers advising him that (perhaps) this was a poor career choice for him. The act had all but insulted the young Leith who, now finally competent enough to understand the basics of his craft decided to redouble his efforts.
  
  It took him only two more years to finally finish his degree and an additional year to obtain is Doctorate, buoyed not by his fathers influence and wealth, but sheer desire to spite those that had insulted his greatness. After graduation Leith took a teaching position with the University, devoting huge swaths of his time to researching and improving upon the works of his ‘contemporaries’ for quote ‘the public good’. His lectures often devolving less into actual machina and more into the immense design failures of his fellow teachers and alumni.
  
  While many outside his craft lauded him with praise (all deserved) he’d garnered something of a cult of hate around him. This scarcely bothered Leith, who was more than eager to feed their annoyance and throw their collective failures back in their face at every opportunity.
  
  But as they say, Pride cometh before the fall. During his final year in the world of New London, Leith supervised the construction of several high pressure distilleries for local spirit manufactures in London. While it wasn’t his normal vein of work, he’d taken the job largely so a particularly annoying peer would be denied the chance to have it. But the workload of refitting and redesigning three dozen facilities at one time was just too much for one man to handle on his own (despite his insistence otherwise). So...he cut a few corners on machining tolerances here and there. It was just a distillery afterall, what was the worse that could happen.
  
  Apparently the worst that could happen was flooding the streets with scalding alcohol, thankfully claiming no lives but injuring hundreds. The scandal that followed all but ruined Leith’s reputation. To the point that even his father suggested he take time to...distance himself. So that the familys honor might be maintained.
  
  When that mysterious letter arrived Leith all but slammed his seal of approval on the blasted thing. Even if it was a joke, a chance to escape his embarrassment and provide his considerable talents to those worthy of them was an all too sweet chance to pass up.
• Origin: The World of New London. An alternative history where the British Empire never tired and became the world government during the early 1400s. Here, with little conquest left to the world, the Empire turned its attention to rapid advancements in the sciences, eventually (by pure happenstance) developing a sort of psuedo-perpetual motion machine. Where in the amount of work put into their simple clockwork systems was significantly less than the amount of work such a system could turn out.

Appearance: Unknowable ones from beyond the stars, hear my pact and lend me your power!

Personality:
Augis is a seeker of truths. He wants to know how the universe ticks, and why Nova Terra seems to tick differently. He wishes to gain insight into the unknown, and understand the uncomprehended, but he is not a fool. Augis knows the risks of delving too deeply into things beyond man's ability to perceive, and the dangers that the unknowable beings from beyond can pose, thus believes it is best to take it slowly than risk his mind being destroyed. If anything, his limited knowledge of his patron makes him all the more terrified of such beings, and he dreads the prospect of ever meeting one in person.

His pact with a being from beyond was not solely to sate curiosity, however. He cares deeply about his home, and has watched as more and more were taken from it as others took advantage of Silver Sun's weakness and misfortune. The only hope for the fallen kingdom's survival, he believes, is with the aid of those from beyond Nova Terra. Those beings may be terrifying, incomprehensible to human minds, and unknowable in their intentions, but they are at least far removed from the predatory politics of Nova Terra...he thinks.

In person distrustful of outsiders, especially those native to his world. Silver Sun's neighbors are nothing but opportunistic predators, and those beyond the world are unknown, possibly unknowable, wild cards. At the same time, Augis is aware that having faith in outside help is Silver Sun's only hope for survival

Warlock's Pact:
Augis has struck a deal with a powerful cosmic being and has been granted many powers. His contact with the entity has affected his mind, causing him to be immune to telepathic or psychic attacks from mortal beings, but at the same time it has become attuned to the whispers of his patron- and those of any related or similar beings. He is capable of casting a number of spells that touch the minds of others, such as charm, suggestion, and telepathic sendings. Additionally, his pact has granted Augis a few special powers that do not expend his own mana:

Eldritch Blast- Augis fires a powerful magic beam at his foe. He can optionally choose for the beam to knock its target back.

Disguise Self- Augis casts an illusion upon himself to appear as somebody or something else. It does not alter his voice, however.

Levitate- Augis can suspend someone- or himself- in the air.

Both through his own studies and communing with beings from beyond, he has obtained not-inconsiderable knowledge of eldritch matters.

Telescope and lens crafting
Augis was taught by his father to craft and maintain telescopes, and knows how to craft all the necessary parts, including the glass lenses. He can produce lenses for other purposes, as long as he knows the needed dimensions.

Astronomer
Augis is learned in the field of astronomy, and the associated mathematics.

Backstory:
Augis was the son of an astronomer who lived in Silver Sun. He was brought up to follow in his father's footsteps of charting the stars and determining the laws that govern the universe. He was taught mathematics, learned how to build and maintain telescopes, and when necessary, navigate using the stars. When he was 17, his father died, but Augis continued to carry on his legacy, observing the cosmos and making calculations. One thing perplexed him, however- he could not make his calculations add up. The laws that more less consistently governed much of what he observed did not seem to apply to Nova Terra. No matter how he tried, he couldn't make the math work out. Finally, he made a breakthrough- he observed something in the night sky that behaved similarly anomalously. He built a more powerful telescope to observe it, hoping that it'd lend insight into his own world. When he observed it, something gazed back at him and sent whispers into his mind.

Terrified, Augis smashed his telescope to pieces and for the next few weeks, he could not even bring himself to look into the night sky. As time passed, curiosity eroded his fear, and he began studying what he had found. He traveled to other communities to learn all he could of what he had made contact with. He traveled from place to place, studying these unknowable beings. As he learned more, the prospect of forming a pact with whatever he saw became more tempting. He was not blind to the plight of his home community, and here he had found something seemingly removed from the vicious politics of this world with no stake in the further debasement of Silver Sun. He built a new telescope and began observing the corner of the cosmos where that...thing resided. Soon enough, it noticed Augis, and with the knowledge he learned, he struck a pact with it for power.

For the next several years, Augis endeavored to develop his newfound powers and deepen the pact in hope of gaining even more power. He served as a mercenary with various communities, and made contact with others who had struck similar bargains. He occasionally got into trouble or associated with the wrong people, and it isn't a coincidence that he has focused on obtaining powers useful for keeping less enlightened folk from skewering him. During this time, he also witnessed firsthand the gruesome consequences of delving too deeply into or associating too closely with the unknowable things beyond the stars, lessons that he has taken to heart. When he felt that his powers had developed sufficiently, he returned home to Silver Sun, now even more diminished than it was when he left, and offered his services in hopes of helping to save it.

On the surface, Aoife is somewhat aggressive person who is ready to fight anyone that challenges her. Her expressions are rather aggressive as well. Otherwise, she’s a rather kind person. When she encounters a lost person, she offers to lead them to safety. When she encounters a lost soul, she helps it with last requests within her ability before sending them off to Mag Mell.

Abilities:

Dullahan Anatomy: Dullahan have their head separated from their bodies. They can slightly move their head through a small amount of magic but they need to hold them to move it best of course. Their bodies can move independently of their head of course. When separated by a large distance, they can sense the head and move towards it. Luckily, it has a sort of radar to not bump into every little thing along the way.

Summon Spectral Horse: Dullahans have the ability to summon a spectral horse to ride around on.

Spirit Magic: Dullahans have the ability to collect souls of the dead or dying and therein communicate with them. That said, Dullahans have a reputation in that there are spells that these souls are used for which may or may not be true. People are wary of them for this.

Gold Burn: Dullahans have an innate weakness to gold, causing them to burn when exposed to it.

Martial Weapons Proficiency: Aoife has practiced with weapons for many years for fun, for the most part as she has traveled Nova Terra. She has fought a number of skilled individuals and has become a rather infamous person in many circles not to mention the dungeons.

Smithing: Weapon wear is bad on someone that uses their weapons a lot much as Aoife does. She took a year or so of time to learn to smith from a dwarven smith since she heard they were the best in the industry. She learned that from another dwarf, of course.

In addition, she has some lesser skills. Riding, cooking, woodworking.

Backstory: Aoife is a Dullahan from the land of Mag Mall, a place that is considered a paradise. In truth, it is a land that houses the souls of the dead though it is true that the actual citizens of this land are treated well. Dullahan are those that collect spirits and souls and bring them to Mag Mell.

They are “born” fully grown or created through odd magics. Aoife was born a Dullahan. When they are born as such, they are required by the Royal Family to serve as soul collectors for one hundred years. After such service is over, they are allowed to do as the please within the borders. Most become nobles of sorts and are granted land to become knights of sorts.

Aoife, for her part, disliked that idea. As much as she loves her land of Mag Mell, she loves exploring the world outside her island more. She requested leave to the lands of Mag Mell to explore the rest of Nova Terra. She was granted it, as long as she delivered lost souls she found to Mag Mell. It was a sort of “you scratch my back, I scratch yours” deal to which Aoife agreed. Mag Mell was a better fate than being lost on the roadside, so there should be little issue here.

Now she travels the lands of Nova Terra as Adventurer and Soul Keeper. She travels on her spectral horse across the land, exploring and sightseeing. She also enjoys dungeon-diving for treasures, helping failing adventurers and recovering souls of the lost while she’s at it. This is what her life has mostly revolved around for the last 200 and some years.

She’s made some friends over this time and had even more people distrust her because of rumors of Dullahans, though she never lets this keep her down. While it’s not everyone who believes baseless rumors, it’s enough.

Abilities:
Rimewind Blade: A near mythical sword given as a gift at the resolution of a campaign far to the north. Drawing the blade coats the wielder in supernaturally tough ice, protecting them from harm but still allowing movement. The ice is self repairing but because of the extreme cold it can only be used for relatively short periods of time. THe increased mass of ice also comes with strength to match.
Seers Gamble: a deck of cards hand painted on wood by Rook. They are black on one side and feature people, places or ideas on the other. By dealing a spread he can infer things about the subjects on the cards and their relationships to each other. He can add cards by painting new ones himself and can speak directly through the cards to those that he has a closer relationship with.
Skills:
Rook prides himself on his strategy and skill in command to lead himself to victory. He is also a match with a blade for any of his soldiers.
He is a skilled painter, having done the work on all of his cards himself.
He has picked up a myriad of other skills, ranging from agriculture to civil engineering by taking on side projects between conflicts and helping populations to recover after a costly war.
Backstory:
The world Rook is from world where professional, mercenary armies have supplanted standing armies for the nations of the world. These forces adhere to a chivalric code of professional conduct. They protect civilians, minimize damage to infrastructure and treat each other civilly.
Rook is the commander of the iron legion, versatile fighters that act as shock troops and skirmishers in their leather and chain armor. He came up through the ranks, showing competence and taking leadership when taking command and avoiding a rout after the death of the previous leader. He used his particular abilities to tremendous effect.
They take on jobs ranging from stand up warfare to simple law enforcement and tax collection.

• Personality:
• A polite young woman that nevertheless gives off a feeling of being distant or detached from her surroundings, Kamiko tends to drift through her day-to-day activities, ruled by boredom. She may be immensely proud of her skill with the blade, but she can't deny it's made her battles rather bothersome and tedious. She no longer sees a point in training, and has thus developed some bad, laziness-related habits. And Speaking of bad habits, should Kamiko come across an enemy that seems capable of challenging her, it becomes her highest priority to duel that entity, regardless of circumstance.
  
  Whenever a topic happens to strike Kamiko's fancy, however, she can be quite excitable, almost childishly so. Obviously, sword-related discussions are the most likely to evoke this, but she has some other surprising interests, like sentai, or generic fantasy light novels. It's somewhere on her bucket list to finda spandex costume in the off-chance she woke up in an unfamiliar land, apparently.

• Abilities:
• Wielder of the demon blade, Juuchi Yosamu - The cursed blade passed down the Muramasa bloodline, this sword should never be drawn without the intent of drawing blood. When wielded, it grants a boost to the the user's physical capabilities, but consumes the user's blood in worryingly large quantities. Although this can be mitigated with the blood of her foes as well, it's unwise to use this for anything but a quick, preferably messy finish.
  Given the nature of this weapon, Kamiko also carries a normal katana with her, for general use.

• Skills:
• Unrivaled Sword Saint - In her world, Kamiko is known as a Kensei, or Sword Saint, due to her immense skill with the blade. She battles as if she can see her opponent's moves minutes in advance, and her strength and speed are overwhelming. Relatedly, Kamiko's actions in battle can be rather ludicrous, from blocking swings of a sword with her bare hands, to outright deflecting thrusts with the very tip of her sword.

• Backstory:
• The youngest of two siblings, Kamiko was born into the Muramasa family; once known for their renowned ability to create powerful, fearsome swords, it was now an affluent family of swordsmen. Kamiko had displayed great promise from an early age, thought to surpass her elder brother. Though she wasn't particularly interested in becoming the head of their family, Kamiko quite enjoyed training and sparring with her family or her house's students. By the time she was a young teen, she was said to be the strongest swordsman their house had ever produced.
  Her brother, however, died during a duel with another clan, trying and failing to properly utilise their cursed sword's power. His loss was mourned, though Kamiko felt no strong desire for revenge - as far as she was concerned, it was his own stupidity and lack of skill that led to his death. And now that she was next in line to become the head of the Muramasa family, she would simply have to ensure she was more than strong enough to wield it, if need be.
  Officially declared head at age sixteen, Kamiko has yet to lose a fight, or even draw the cursed blade passed down in her family. While amazing for their clan's reputation, it's done a real number on her ability to enjoy a duel.

Personality:
Dorothy is equal parts haughty and childish. While she knows proper court etiquette and how to act with respect, she is too used to people around her humoring her whims as well as her blunt speech.

Abilities:
Dissolution - The pre-requisite ability of Alchemy. Performing alchemy requires breaking down objects and items into a cauldron of boiling liquid, mixing them, then reforming them into something new.

Appraise - As long as she can perceive it with her senses, she can identify the properties of an object. Though taste and touch are preferable and much more effective.

Compendium - Dorothy can memorize the properties of any object she had used as a material in alchemy before as well as infuse them to her products in the future even in the absence of said material. This ability also lets her remember every recipe she had ever done before.

Bag of Wonder - Dorothy carries around a bag with apparently limit-less dimensional storage space which can also keep anything inside fresh.

Etching - Lets her etch alchemical runes on objects with her finger. She uses this to prepare cauldrons or any qualified alternative. (She also has a rune that lets her heat up the cauldron without fire)

Skills:
Peerless Alchemy - Dorothy is a peerless alchemist. She can make wonder items by combining the properties of more mundane items. She can take this to another level by combining two wonder items into an even more magnificent item and so on and so forth. The resulting product of her alchemy can come in the form of a potion, an item, a magical device or even a living creature like a homunculus.

Backstory:
From the moment she had learned to speak, Dorothy had been called a prodigal genius. She was the pride and joy of the prestigious Baskervilles and it shows. At the mere age of 5 years old, Dorothy became a peerless alchemist. She concocted potions that cured any known disease, made items that can turn the every-man into legendary heroes, and her most popular feat: letting the elderly regain their youth, both in appearance and health.

However, while her accomplishments were something to be celebrated at first, the consequences of her miraculous items were far-reaching and, for the most part, devastating in the long run. The potions that made old age a curable disease had rendered the inheritance system obsolete, triggering an age of rampant succession wars in the aristocracy. The potions that cured diseases increased the life expectancy of the general populace, setting off a population boom that the Kingdom was ill-equipped to accommodate. Resources quickly became scarce, and the economy was set to collapse. It was in this time of turmoil that the flags of rebellion were rose by the opportunistic enemies of the kingdom, its leaders armed by Dorothy's items.

These combined Crises broke the Kingdom, fracturing it into warring factions that sought to obtain the very origin of all this chaos, Dorothy Baskerville.

It was then when her family home was surrounded and under heavy fire, that she received the letter. In her desperation, she didn't think much before slamming her hand on the word "Yes".

• Personality: Stoic and taciturn, Arisia comes off as rather cold and almost expressionless at first glance. She speaks in a monotone that betrays very little of the feelings behind her words, and usually refrains from speaking at length, preferring short and to-the-point statements over needless babble. This is not to say that she does not feel emotions; far from it, in fact. Those who get to know Arisia past this initial impression quickly learn that she is in fact a very kind, loving and generous young woman with a strong sense of justice, one who is very devoted to her friends and who will lend a hand to those in need even when it doesn't benefit her at all. The reason for her outward lack of emotions is due to her conditioning herself to keep them in check; due to her powers being psychic in nature, emotional outbursts can cause them to flare up, and in the rare occassions where she becomes truly angry they run the risk of going completely berserk. Due to her nature, she tries to suppress her emotions to lessen the risk of collateral damage and casaulties from anyone caught in the crossfire. Part of Arisia's self-therapy involves listening to music, something she is very fond of and which goes a great way towards calming her down.
• Abilities: Arisia is a psychic of immensely powerful proportions. To be more specific, she possesses phenomenally strong telekinesis, able to mentally lift and toss about cars, buses and even objects are large as battleships with ease. Not only that, but whilst she is in a stable state of mind she possesses almost surgical precision too, able to manipulate tiny bolts and screws amongst other things. However, despite how immense this power may seem, she still suffers from a few notable weaknesses. Firstly, all living creatures generate a mental field which, in the case of larger creatures such as horses, large dogs and humans, interferes with her own mental powers. Due to this, she cannot directly manipulate such creatures, nor anything in very close proximity to them such as clothing. She also cannot manipulate objects outside of her maximum range of one kilometer, and added to that any object that is larger than said range will be torn apart as she tries to lift it. Finally, if she loses control over her emotions, her powers will start to go berserk; this scenario is absolutely catastrophic and Arisia goes to great lengths to prevent it from happening.
• Skills: Arisia has a seemingly instinctive grasp of mathematics (especially when it involves distance and trajectories) and is very skilled at doing quick mental calculations. Her sense of spatial awareness is also notably rather honed, although this may be a byproduct of her psychic powers. She is very good at cooking, too... As long as she is making pancakes. It's not just that pancakes are the only dish she knows how to make, it's that every time she tries to cook anything it always invariably (and sometimes inexplicably) turns into pancakes somewhere during the cooking process.
• Backstory: One of only eight individuals representing the highest level of (living) psychics from her world, Arisia is noted to be the strongest amongst all telekinetics. From birth, her powers were immediately apparent, as whenever she threw a tantrum objects would violently fly about the room and crash into walls and people until she was pacified. Thankfully, the power didn't go to her head and as she matured she began to develop a cool head in order to keep her powers in check. Unfortunately, power attracts power, and she has often been called on to help deal with those who misuse their powers towards nefarious ends; on more than one occassion she has let her emotional control slip and the results were almost catastrophic. Due to this, despite the fact that she is a genuinely good person, she was often treated with mistrust by those who thought she was simply a time bomb waiting to go off. Despite this, she still continues to stoicly protect the peace and protect those in need whenever she can.
• Origin: Isekai - Arisia's world was practically indentical to ours until the early 20th century, when psychic powers began manifesting in a very small fraction of a percentage of the population. This number increased after WWII and during the Cold War, when the opposing superpowers (as well as several other countries) began secretly experimenting on the applications of these powers. The biggest point of divergence, however, is an event that happened on July 16th, 1988, where a research lab in Japan was suddenly destroyed in a gigantic psychic explosion. Soon afterwards, the entire human race found themselves awakening to psychic abilities; whilst most of them were very weak and only a handful of people possessed higher levels of power, the fact remained that with the entirity of humanity "evolving" into a psychic race overnight it became impossible to cover up and hide the existence of psychic powers any more.

• Personality: Lila is not someone who is utterly without pride. As one of those possessing Dragonblood, she is among Nova Terra's nobility from birth, standing as one of the few with the authority to officiate challenges due to their position. Even now, after Silver Sun has fallen so low, she still has this ability, her body intrinsically tied to Nova Terra. As a result, she does take some pride in her heritage, in her bloodline, and she is not above boasting at times of this. However, in spite of her pride, Lila's primary concern is with the well-being of her community. She desperately wants to help those suffering due to the state of Silver Sun, desiring to help bring it back to its original glory so that those who are a part of it can be happy and thrive once again. Even in spite of Silver Sun's dire circumstances, Lila is still a polite and cheerful girl. Perhaps this is motivated in part because of her desire to draw in people who can help Silver Sun flourish once more, but that doesn't make it less genuine. Even considering her politeness, however, Lila can become quite frustrated and angry if someone successfully gets a rise out of her. She will not back down for any reason if it's for the sake of Silver Sun, but she is also surprisingly easily flustered and embarrassed.
• Abilities: As a Dragonblood, Lila is enormously fast and strong and has the natural ability to control and breath fire. This is something inherent to all of her kind. Due to her nature, she is also directly tied to the existence of Nova Terra, able to officiate Nova Challenges and even cancel them or alter the rules. However, she must have strong justification for this, and the game will simply resume unaltered if she does not. Lila possesses the ability to tap further into her dragon blood, manifesting fiery wings from her shoulders and enhancing her capabilities greatly. She is also incredibly durable and resistant to physical damage. In the absolute most dire circumstances, Lila is also the holder of Dragon Slaughter Ascalon, the murderous lance that annihilated a mighty dragon in a single blow. It may seem odd that one with dragon blood carries such a weapon, but it is not something she will even draw without due need. Dragon Slaughter Ascalon is devastatingly powerful, vaporizing the target on impact in an enormous blast of magical energy, but it is also taxing and can cause considerably collateral damage in addition to Lila's usual reluctance to actually use it.
• Skills: Lila is extremely competent and knowledgeable when it comes to the rules of effectively any game in existence. But this is practically required of anyone of the Dragonblood who still serves as part of Nova Terra's nobility. She is a remarkably competent fighter, though not the most skilled among anyone who has ever been a part of Silver Sun.
• Backstory: Lila was born among the Dragonblood, and naturally served as part of Nova Terra's administration of Nova Challenges. Eventually, she came to be part of Silver Sun, and grew attached to the community and was happy to be one of its members. Unfortunately, she has seen the community fall apart, and have all of its strongest members killed or torn away by challenges. Even she has been an intended target... Finally, desperate to save Silver Sun, she has sent letters beyond the world of Nova Terra, into other universes...
