Whoami All things atmospheric...

@Theyra Tuevo seems like a pretty reasonable character to me. I like that he's knowledgeable in the automotive industry, which could very well come in handy for the resistance in terms of operation and procurement. He seems like a good asset to the team. Tuevo is ACCEPTED. You can move him to the characters tab.

On that note, I'm loving these characters, and how lore friendly they all are. In previous instances in this setting, there were a handful of characters that only scraped the surface on Yggdrasil's lore. So I really appreciate where all of these characters are heading!

@Dog I did, and it is good. One thing I would touch up is that ballistic firearms are finally starting to catch up with manalock weaponry. There a bit of information on them in the WIP Handbook. Ballistic weapons (otherwise known as bolt weapons) are finally beginning to move onto semi-automatic weaponry, but their ammunition capacity is still quite low and they are very loud. Still the most common ballistic weapons are bolt action, hence the name.

I have updated the Revolutionary Handbook to include information on Allies, as well as the Calendar which details the months of the year.

@Lucky We will be starting in Mitra. Asgard has occupied Tyberia for a few months now, and the revolution has been stirring in secrecy. The player characters are the first revolutionaries to 'go loud' as it were.

Well I like the direction the character is headed in, but I am a bit pensive about his age. Being that the revolutionaries are engaging in a violent conflict with Asgard, Alarico doesn't look or seem the type to be able to carry his own weight in a battle. I'd suggest dropping his age maybe into his late thirties (low forties is about as high as I'd go). Bear in mind that humans in this world live to about 60 years, health dependent of course, and in a world where their common power source is literally a radioactive source, it isn't often that people live much longer than that without experiencing some serious health issues. Plus Yggdrasil's healthcare systems aren't as good as our own for a number of reasons (I tried finding a crazy gnome doctor but... Turns out the little fellas are hard to find).

In his current iteration, Alarico seems like he would make a great supporting character or Ally. Given, his alignment with the resistance is purely a selfish economic one, he should still be able to be trusted and liked enough so that others know he isn't going to cut ties the instant his investments get too risky. I like the direction of the character, he just needs some fine tuning to be able to fit in with the cast of characters better.

EDIT: I should also state that the original intent for the character is fine, being that he is in it for his own financial gains. Just that he should be able to play the part of a resistance fighter as well. Perhaps he gets personally invested in the fight as the plot progresses?

I changed Alarico's age to 37. As for fighting, that's unlikely. He can't risk his life since he rather not let others take over his company. He'll be on a different front, the political and economic one, equally as important as fighting itself.

@Sylvan If I remember my lore correctly maybe about like 500 give or take a couple centuries- but they mature much at the same rate to humans

I changed Alarico's age to 37.

I'm sure you can come up with something in the low hundreds, but worst case scenario you just have to change that detail.

Also I think that's hilarious to look at the picture of an old man that's apparently 37.

@Dog It's good to see the age get dropped and the lore get altered a bit to accommodate the current generation of bolt weaponry. I do think that he is indeed due for a picture of a younger chap to reflect the age a bit better. As for his role as a supporter and worker in the rear lines of the revolution, I'm still on the fence about that one. I see where you're going with it, but it will lead to your character being separated from the player group more often than not, and leave for a lot of non-interaction, which is something I'm trying to avoid in this RP. Essentially the more split up the characters get, the more things there are to take into account for all parties involved, and it bloats the plot and makes it more difficult to track. There's nothing wrong with having a character more talented on the social and economic side of the revolution, but he should be willing to fight and be able to hold his own. I say that because the resistance isn't always going to be fighting on its own terms all the time, and the characters are going to need to be acting in defense where fighting isn't a choice but a necessity. If he can't do that, then he's very liable to getting killed.

EDIT: On that note, don't think that this RP is going to be all fighting. To break down how this is all going to be run, the purpose of the RP having months with different effects is because there are two major missions to happen each month. One in the first half, and one in the second half. The leadup to those missions is the planning and preparation of the missions where the resistance is uncovering intelligence, coordinating with other cells, making allies, and gathering supplies. The mission itself will more than likely feature combat if the group decides a loud approach is necessary, but can be completed through alternative means if the group is creative enough. So having a socially optimized character is great in the build-up leading into the missions, but I don't intend on exempting characters from said missions either as that fragments the player characters in a way I don't want.

EDIT 2: Alternatively, the players can opt to forego a mission in favor of additional logistics or taking advantage of some monthly events to gather more support for the revolution. As the resistance accrues stranglehold, it might be wise to lay low and not conduct operations so they can reduce the heat a bit, so to speak.

So I’m thinking of playing a Half-Elf named Zanbin. Here is what I’m thinking of for the back story:

So he’s basically a cowboy with delusions of grandeur, fancying himself a Zorro or Lone Ranger type character. As for playing as a Half-Elf I have two questions. First, what is the lifespan of the average Half-Elf. Two, do Half-Elves share the same immunity to mana radiation and poison like full-blooded Elves, or are they like Humans, or maybe somewhere in between?
