Josiah

He was on a hunt right now, on a mission, he had to get this monster! He was determined to hunt them all, all the monsters!

Every
Single
One

"Damn it sis you could have given me more info then this." The hunter grumbled, he didn't like not being fully prepared. He had a bad feeling something big was coming, and he didn't know what. Lately there had been more demonic activity and of course more monster attacks as well. He could recall talking with his father about how when there was a surge in demonic activity or if there was then something was afoot below.

He was parked in his vehicle with the lights off, he'd been investigating a batch of mysterious deaths at a college campus. Women who had lost control and killed there boyfriends, many of there friends had described the relationships as less then stellar behind close doors. The proper word to describe them would be abusive, so the MO he was working with was some force that had it out for these guys. He'd ruled out the potential of it being Siren, as he wasn't able to find any signs of the specific flowers they left behind plus Siren's usually ruined the men's life by controlling them to kill there own love interest. More then that it was usually men who while in loving relationships tended to slip up and seek out physical comfort elsewhere such as in strip clubs or even once he'd encountered a siren operating within the confines of a prostitution sex ring.

"Ah well it's signs of ectoplasm, well well well." Josiah looked at his reader, he hopped out the car and fetched a shotgun loaded with salt rounds. He also grabbed an iron bar and slipped it in the bottom fold of his cargo pants. That was his back-up weapon against this vicious spirit. Whipping out his phone he went to his notes he compiled about this case, from the information his sister passed to him and what he managed to pull himself.

A girl Dawn Stiles had commited suicide at the campus four years prior and was reportedly in an abusive relationship. The player she was involved with had a succesful athletic career, so the college shut down her attempts to bring him to justice. Of course he'd been the first victim three weeks ago, right as he was close to finishing his senior year and had netted a contract with the NFL.

"Well Well Well Dawn was like you ain't finna get no money bruh." Josiah chuckled, he didn't find abuse or anything about the situation funny outwardly. But in a strange sense he understand this spirit, or well all vengeful spirits. He was a firm beleiver in karma, & felt many of these spirits had been wronged in life. In a way that had left them no amends for the crimes that had been committed against them, and so now as spirits they wanted to take their supernatural vengeance.

Of course it was never that simple, many times these spirits fueled by rage could never stop with the very person who wiped out their lives. They had to keep going and going until they involved other people.

"Josiah.....Josiah!!!"

A voice rang out and the hunter flipped around clutching his gun. His meter started blinking rapidly and he had visible cold breath. Oh shit looks like there coming to me

Josiah inched around the car upset that he might have been spotted by Dawn. "Why didn't you save me! Why did you let that demon kill me!!!"

Josiah almost froze, the voice he heard wasn't one that he didn't recognize. It was Nikki Waters, a girl who'd been possessed by a cross-roads demon he ganked a little over a year ago. Him and his sister had tried to exorcise the demon, but Nikki was in the national guards when the black smoke had invaded her life. As such during the attempts to exorcise the demon, it had detonated a grenade that Nikki herself had been carrying around as part of her gear. Josiah & his sister narrowly managed to get out of the bomb's radius, but in that time the dreaded black smoke had escaped Nikki and left her body mutilated and burned to a crisp. So he was shocked when he saw none other then Nikki in her military garb appearing as she did when him and his sister had first ran into her months ago.

"Nikki?! What the hell how...your alive..no...y-..y"

"No I'm not alive no thanks to you! A couple words of latin earlier and I would have been! Why me! You saved so many others, but no me why?! This is suppose to be your job, your family's business, but you failed me, but I guess that comes at no surprise, because you failed your own mother! Some hunter you are, you piece of shit!!!!"

"No I..I.." Josiah was startled, being faced to face with a woman he tried so hard to liberate from the demons but failed. Josiah pulled the trigger firing the salt round but the spirit vanished and re-appeared behind him using telekinesis to fling him into the side of his own car.

The hunter groaned from the impact getting up and grabbing his shot-gun which flew out of his hands. The ghost had other plans using TK to push the shot-gun away and lifted Josiah up before smacking him against the car then hitting him a few more tiems.

"You tried?! Well it didn't work!! You didn't try hard enough you didn't care!!!! Your not a real hunter, your not a real hero, you"

SWOOOSH!

Josiah had pulled out and swung the iron blade through Nikki causing her to dissipate. He was breathing heavilly and clutched his chest which was hurting from the supernatural blows he'd took from the spirit. He stumbled forward grabbing his discarded shot-gun and EMF meter before hopping in his car. He didn't even pay attention to the dented door before putting the keys in the ignition ad pulling off. Forget the Dawn Stiles case, he had to get out of there for now, he was rattled by what he just saw and for now he needed a break because seeing Nikki again was haunting literally. "What the hell." Josiah muttered to himself as he picked up in speed getting away from the campus.

He thought he had this case in the bag, all the research. All the signs of evidence he collected, going form a potential siren to ghost possession to seeing one of those victims he failed to save that really effected him. A single tear-drop rolled down his eye as he ran a red light.

Something was going on, something big, and little did he know this was just the beginning.

MIKA CHAMBERS

With Castiel now gone and Bobby waking up first, Mika was out but when Dean skidded across the room and grabbed ahold of her and she started to stir awake as she heard his voice pierce through the thin veil of unconsciousness and consciousness combined. As she woke up she groaned a bit, instinctively lifting her free hand up to her head, to feel Dean's hand there already and looked at him as he requested. "Urgh...what the hell was that?" she grumbled as she then hugged him, grateful that she was still very much alive and more importantly Dean was still alive and okay.

She didn't even complain when he pressed his hand lightly on her forehead on the cut that had appeared, figuring that she must have hit her head on either the table or the shotgun, but judging by how the shotgun was laying on the ground, she guessed it was that she smacked as she went down. She then looked over at Bobby and sighing with relief seeing that he too was okay and not hurt. If she lost her only family member she never would have come back from that kind of grief. She had known for a long time that if she lost Bobby, she would go so far down the grief road that she was damn certain nothing would bring her back.

"Everyone else okay?" she asked them both.

SAM WINCHESTER

Sam was glad that she let him try and clean her up a bit, whilst also glad that she was now calming down and not causing anymore damage to this hotel. As he finished doing what he could, he threw the ripped piece of cloth from his shirt into the nearby bin and looked up also having heard Cason's footsteps coming from the bathroom. He listened to his words and as much as he would love to disagree with him just on principle of him being a demon that was clearly posessive over Annabeth, he knew he couldn't disagree.

The guy made a very valid point, the hotel looked worse for wear and if they stayed any longer he was convinced they might be blamed for the damages, which in a way he wouldn't blame the owners for doing as it was kind of their fault. "I agree we need to move on from this hotel. Before we either get kicked out or charged for the damages or have the feds on our case because we look like a right dodgy group." Sam replied before giving it a think about how many rooms they would possibly need for everyone.

His thoughts were broken up by Annabeth whispering to him about wanting to travel with him in his car and nodded, "You can, dont worry" he told her back quietly then looked up at everyone in the room. "I do think we should bunk up with someone, no one should be left alone in this situation. I recommend Nat be with Esme in one room, Annabeth can share with me as she requested it, benjamin, if you're coming along I'd suggest you share with Cason unless Cason insists on bunking with myself and Annabeth, so that's three rooms possibly. Then get a fourth for Dean and Mika. If Bobby stays around which I doubt he's the only one I trust to be alone." he explained, throwing out a rough idea to see what the others thought.

Esme Stirling

As Cason washed his hands, Esme leaned her head back against the wall but made sure she could still monitor him. When he finished and turned to her with a grin, she raised an eyebrow. As he spoke, she listened and studied him. He appeared to be truthful. But then again, she was pretty much a human lie detector. She almost laughed when he told her to consider him in her debt. A demon in the debt of a hunter, now that was something. That could either be a good thing or a bad thing because who knows when it could go bad and bite you in the ass.

Esme looked at him with her brow still raised as he tried to prove that he was serious. All she could do at this moment was let it play out and see where it went. When Cason poked his head out the door and held his hands up as if she would fall, she couldn’t help but roll her eyes a bit. She sighed heavily at his words to the others. She pushed herself off the wall and stumbled a bit. “I said I’m fine!” she snapped at Cason. Though the quick movement was a bad idea, her vision blurred, and she became light-headed. “Hellfire.” she mumbled, as she reached for something to grab a hold of. She could feel nothing close and soon felt herself falling towards the tile floor.

Dean Winchester

Dean nodded at Mika, as he looked her over, running his thumb lightly around the outside of her head wound. He was concerned about it, but it didn’t seem to need stitches. He brought her face to meet his eye line, by holding her cheeks to look her over, and make sure her eyes were reacting fine as he muttered, “We’re fine. Are you okay?”

“I’m good!”, Bobby yelled from across the room, brushing dust and grime off the front of his shirt and pants. He looked around at the warding, and then at Dean, who seemed to be the only one not knocked out by whatever the hell that thing was, “If you got any good information, now would be the time to spill it.”

Dean shook his head lightly, “I need to confirm what the guy said before then…Why don’t we pack up and head back to your place. We can figure it out there, where we have plenty of booze and a safety net.”

Bobby couldn’t help but agree, staring down at his niece with worried eyes, “You doin’ alright? I mean…are you good to ride, kid?”

Cason

As Esme snapped at him about being fine, he rolled his eyes as well, seeing that she was becoming more pale by the second. He listened to Sam’s plan and shook his head lightly, “I don’t sleep. So, I think I’ll hang out between rooms. I can just walk around, or I can hang out with anyone who can’t sleep. I don’t want you….alone. And I don’t want her without…”

Cason stopped his sentence, as he was speaking about Esme when she fell. He reached his arms out, catching her, and gently lowering to the ground with her. He did his best to make sure he took most of the fall, and groaned.

“…without someone to watch her. I owe her a debt for trying to save Annabeth. None of you could understand what that means.”

He pushed Esme’s hair out of her face, and quickly vanished with her. After settling her in a room, near St. Louis, Missouri, he pulled out his phone and texted Sam’s number on a phone he had lifted from Bobby Singer’s car.

1113 Sycamore Drive
Arnold, Missouri
—-Already checked in, Samuel.

Annabeth

Annabeth gave a relieved smile, leaning her head against Sam as he spoke, listening to his voice vibrating his chest. She honestly didn’t care where everyone else went, but she didn’t trust him to be alone, and she didn’t feel safe alone…especially now that her eyes were gone.

She also had her powers to deal with, and try to figure out, and Sam seemed the least afraid of her. He was the one who treated her most like a human. And she was starting to have tiny flashes of a past life, where they were together as teenagers, but it felt brief. He was a lot more angry, in her visions. He was more stressed, but just as gentle and kind. The thought made her smile against his chest.

“What about the angels? What do we do to stay away from them?”, she asked honestly. She thought about her powers and then Cason disappeared, his absence something she could feel, after being with him for so many months, “I guess we’ll just have to hope for the best…”

Her words came out almost as a chuckle, as she scooted back from Sam, wanting to try her legs so they could get out of there. She swung her legs over the bed beside him, and stood carefully.

“This is going to take getting used to, the whole…no eyes thing.”

"Keep those glasses with you. Repeated long time use will allow you to eventually see shapes, colors and general locations of where everything is without having to wear them." Benjamin stated. "I regret not having the power to save you. That angel has a very ominous name, it's only fitting that he is so evil."
"Annabeth, I could perhaps hide you from them and give you a place to rest, once we get to wherever we're going." He offered with a sign of regret in his voice.

Cason

Cason sat the stolen phone on the small table by the window, turning in the darkness to stare over at the human on the only bed in the room. He chewed at his lip, as he watched her chest rise and fall, a small tuft of her hair blowing and falling again against her lips. It wasn't in his nature to care for humans, but he did have some weird morals toward other demons. If a demon risked its eternal free life for him, he would owe them until he repaid the same debt. But the Winchesters brought something out in humans or at least found humans with the ability to pull at his 'being a bad demon' side.

He took a deep breath, not needing to sleep, and slowly stepped across the room. As he walked, he was thankful the room was carpeted. He wasn't the best at staying quiet. He approached the edge of the bed and stared down at her for several minutes, before reaching a handout and holding it over her mouth. She was breathing. She was sleeping. He had seen Annabeth sleep plenty of times, and even faked the process himself while with her. But, the action of sleeping still amazed him at times, after all these years of not sleeping.

He sighed, not even really knowing how long someone as tired as Esme would need to sleep. Was she in a coma? Should he try to save her?

As he pondered her mortality, her face scrunched into anger. She jerked a bit and Cason furrowed his eyebrow because this seemed familiar. Without warning, her hand came up to greet his chin as she fought whatever was now making her whimper in her sleep. Grabbing her wrist, he placed it on her chest and tried to hold it there, "Hey. You're having a bad dream...you're..."

He sighed deeply at the relentlessness of the nightmare and stood from the bed, stepping around to the empty side and climbing on. He could still hear her whimpering in the dark as he grabbed at her flailing hands, and pulled her upper body onto his lap, stroking her hair.

"This is going to be annoying...", he whispered, stroking her hair gently. There was nothing to do but wait for the others, or for daylight to come.

MIKA CHAMBERS

Mika knew instantly what Dean was doing when he kept making her look at him in the eyes and follow his gaze which she did just fine. She knew he was worried about her and the small cut on her forehead but apart from a headache that rapidly occuring, she did feel alright, albeit a bit confused at how whatever that man was managed to knock herself and Bobby out without even touching them both. "I'm okay, just a headache but I'm okay" she told him before Bobby called out that he was indeed fine as well which she was majorly relieved about.

As much as she wanted to know what was said between this mysterious guy and Dean, she had to admit doing that particular chat in a safer enviroment of Bobby's home....her home was by far the better decision. She looked up when Bobby asked her if she was okay and she could tell he was worried, she knew those worried eyes all too well and it really did seem that no matter her age, she always would be his kid. "I'm fine, nothing some painkillers won't cure. Must have just dropped at the wrong angle and clipped the butt of the shotgun. But yeah I'll be okay to ride" she explained, outwardly saying her guess. SHe could be clumsy enough to do such a thing, not regularly but it wasn't exactly completely unknown either.

"So you two stop panicking, neither of ya are gonna lose me just yet over a small cut." she told them again, trying to lighten the mood slightly and convince them both she really was okay. As much as sometimes their borderline over protectiveness could annoy her, she never protested it in these moments as she knew it was coming from a good place and right now, she could udnerstand why Dean would be particularly. She then patted Dean twice to let him know she was good to stand up before slowly getting back up onto her feet, dusting herself off.

NATALIA AND SAM WINCHESTER

Sam sighed and nodded, it made sense as to why Cason wouldn't be sleeping, he didn't think he would be, he just didn't want Cason alone as he still didn't fully trust him and was more focused on wanting someone around him at all times to make sure he didn't go and double cross them at the first given chance. He knew deep down that if it wasn't for Samael, Cason probably would have loved to have beaten the utter shit out of him for how Annabeth was. He was waiting to hear Cason finsih his sentence when he (and Natalia) both looked over at Esme fainting from being over worked or overwhelmed from all the high emotions running around the room.

As Cason eventually finsihed his sentence, Natalia scoffed at Cason's words about none of them knowing what that kind of debt could possibly mean, feeling certain that they all knew what it meant to some kind of degree, even if Cason wanted to think otherwise. She was also about to reply when Cason vanished with Esme making her blink a couple of times to comprehend that yes, he had just done supernatural runner and with one of the hunters in their seemingly growing group. A group she never thought would even be a thing. "Okay...." she just mumbled, as Annabeth slowly got herself off the bed with Sam's help. "We'll get this fixed Annabeth...somehow" she told her when Sam's phone went off with a text.

With one hand, Sam kept ahold of Annabeth then pulle dout his phone with his other free hand and looked at the message, wonering how the hell Cason got his number. With a disappriving wrinkle of his nose at his full name being used, he looked up at the group. "Okay, here's the gameplan. Cason has Esme in a hotel located between here and Souix Falls, in Missouri. Apparently he already has rooms checked in for us all. So if you're coming with us, I'll take Annbeth with me in my car and Nat, can you take Benjamin?" he asked her.

Natalia nodded, "yeah I can take him if he wishes to come along and as you got the address, we'll follow you" Natalia replied before looking at Benjamin, "So ya coming or what? If you are, back seat. No one but family rides shotgun in my car" she told him.

With it all decided she helped Sam bring everything down by doing the lugguage grabs and Esme's jacket as well as her own, also gesturing for Benjamin to help with the bags whilst Sam solely focused on bringing Annabeth down to his car.

Sam and Annabeth

Annabeth sighed, looking around at the auras of everyone around her. Sam's remained a bright blue, while Natalia's was more of a magenta. Her aura seemed a little less threatening than the color would suggest, and it made her smile lightly, as Natalia spoke to her.

When Sam went over the game plan, she held onto him, following him out of the room and carefully down the stairs. She was surprised by how well she took the stairs, even if most of her weight was on Sam's side.

As they reached the car, she felt around for the door handle, determined to help herself.

Sam made sure to not ever go too quickly and just take their time so Annabeth wouldn't feel like she was being rushed. He too was surprised at how well she was taking the stairs but was very much thankful for it. When they got to the cars, he walked Annabeth as close to the passenger door and to the handle as he could that wouldn't be an issue for her once she got it opened.

He waited for her to be able to open the door and safely get in, which he helped with before he even thought about walking round to the driver's side, opening the door, and getting in as well. "you okay and ready to go?" he asked her, glancing in his rearview mirror to wait for the a-okay from Natalia. He knew she would absolutely complain if he didn't wait as she didn't have the address and he certainly wasn't Dean who would jokingly start to drive off without her because he thought he was funny.

Annabeth roughly plopped herself into the passenger seat, turning her head toward the driver's seat as Sam got in and asked if she was okay. Nodding, she pulled her seatbelt on, and smiled, "I'm good to go. I'm honestly just ready for a bed, and some quiet time. To say it's been a long day is an understatement."

As she muttered the words, flashes of what had happened earlier in the night caused her to start crying silently. Her eyes being gone stopped the tears from forming, but she felt it nonetheless.

Sam smiled softly but sadly as she told him she was basically more than ready to go, as he read between the lines of her reply. "that it has, I'm certainly ready to move on" he replied to her, seeing Natalia make it to her car, chuck all the bags in the trunk then get in and give him the signal to get moving. Her signal was always a simple gesture of circling her hand in the air then giving the thumbs up. It was a gesture she only ever seemed to give him which brought a small smile to his face.

He started the ignition and began driving out of the parking lot, and as he made sure Natalia was always in eyeshot of him in his rear views, he drove to the next hotel in question that Cason found, whilst also hoping that Esme was indeed alright and the demon hadn't done anything to her.

"We won't be too long then you can hopefully relax in a more comfortable room," he spoke up, hoping that the odd little bit talking to her would keep her calm enough and not so lost in her thoughts as she processed her lack of sight.

Annabeth smiled softly, reaching over to touch his bicep, the small touch of the skin causing her heart to slow and her mind to relax a bit. 'At least that still works, she thought with a soft sigh. She leaned her head onto the seat and turned her body toward him, attempting to figure out how sleeping would work.

As they pulled into the new hotel parking lot, she jolted awake by a bump and gasped lightly, turning her head to Sam. She gave a small smirk and stared out the windshield to see the shape of the hotel.

“Well. We’re home…”, she muttered, suddenly excited by the idea of a clean bed, and hopefully no angels.

Feeling her touch his bicep he smiled, letting he do whatever she needed to feel some kind of calm as they drove. It wasn't like the simple touch would get in the way of him driving. It didn't take long before he was aware of her falling asleep during the ride, smiling to himself he continued driving in silence until they reached the hotel, accidentally going over a speed bump at the entrance of the parking lot a bit too harshly.

When it woke Annabeth up he felt a tad bad that she got woken up in such an abrupt way but he knew he'd have to wake her anyway. Finding a spot that had two spaces next to each other, he pulled into one whilst seeing Natalia pull into the other. Killing the engine he smiled at her little remark, "that we are. At least for tonight" he added, putting his car key into his jeans pocket and opened the door, getting out and jogging round to her side opening the door for her. "here, I'm here to help" he told her, holding his arm out to her to feel for whilst using his other hand to shield the top of the car so she didn't whack her head.

Annabeth carefully got out of the car, holding onto his arm for stability as she did. Once both feet were on the ground next to him, she straightened her clothes and sighed.

"I can't stay long...", a familiar voice rang out next to them as Cason carefully stepped up. His hands were raised, from the shape Annabeth could make out and he handed both Sam and Natalia a key, "I have to get back and make sure...um...Esme is still asleep."

Annabeth gave a confused head tilt to him mentioning the girl with some sense of emotion. She reached up in the direction of his left hand and took the key from him, which caused him to roll his eyes.

"Before you ask, Room 112...Sam can get you there.", Cason quipped, before turning around and walking back to the hotel where he and Esme were staying.

At the sound of the familiar voice, Sam instantly looked around and saw Cason standing there giving the universal sign for 'I'm not here to fight'. He rose an eyebrow at Cason's wording toward Esme wondering what he was on about but decided he wasn't going to call him out on it just yet. That conversation can wait until later.

He couldn't help but smirk as Annabeth still insisted on taking the room key before he could as Natalia got out of her car and took the other key. "keep us updated on Esme's condition" he told Cason in a tone that showed him he wasn't asking... But telling as he then watched Cason walk back to the hotel room he had Esme in. "well, at least he's truthful about having got us rooms" Natalia quipped with a shrug. "true, I'll get Annabeth to our room then I'll help you with the bags" he told his sister, gaining a nod of approval from Nat and then walked to room 112 with Annabeth.

Esme Stirling

Esme continued to fight against her nightmare till the early hours of morning. Her nightmare was once again about the death of her family, but this time she was there, watching it all unfold, and was helpless to stop it. The death of her family had relentlessly haunted her sleep since it had happened, hardly ever letting her have a decent night's sleep. After it released its hold on her, she shivered before she relaxed with a heavy sigh in her sleep. A few tears had escaped her closed lids as she curled in on herself.

Esme slept slightly more peacefully for the rest of the morning, but still whimpered and shivered as she slept. Images of what she lost and couldn’t save still popping up behind her closed lids, but not as horrific as before. Esme slept through most of the morning, not knowing what she was going to wake up to. When she woke, it was mid to late morning, feeling groggy. She laid there thinking about what happened. The last thing she remembered was falling toward the hard tile floor. Then things went black before she could feel herself hit.

She soon realized her surroundings had changed. She was in a clean room and was laying in a bed, but realized she wasn’t alone. Her eyes went wide as she soon realized she was lying on someone’s lap and they had a hand on her head. “What the hell!” she almost yelled as she bolted up and scrambled from the bed. Reaching behind her, she pulled her gun that remained tucked in the back of her pants after everything. She released the safety as she spun around to face the bed and who was on it, pointing the gun at them. Upon seeing Cason sitting on the bed, her shock turned to anger, causing her to grip her gun tightly and pull the trigger.

The bullet hit its mark, right in Cason’s head. “You’ve got to be kidding me!” she said as she stared at him,. She backed away from the bed, anger still plastered on her face and a fire burning in her eyes from what she had woken up to. She brought up her left hand and pinched the bridge of her nose as she closed her eyes briefly and sighed, her gun still pointed at him. She was tempted to shoot him again as she stared at him. Why the hell was he holding me like that? she asked herself. “Care to explain what I just woke up to!?” she demanded.

Cason

Cason had teleported carefully back under Esme’s head, clutching her to him a bit as she fought another nightmare. This time tears fell from her eyes, which caused him to raise an eyebrow, before whisking them away with his thumb. He gave a sad glance and then rolled his eyes, placing his hand against the side of her hair as he stared into the darkness of the room.

It seemed like an eternity before the sun came up, as he wasn’t used to going this long without a cigarette, or doing something to keep himself busy. Not sleeping had its perks. He could always finish a job, and never had to stop to sleep or eat. But, it had a downside….boredom.

Before he knew it, Esme was stirring in what he thought was another nightmare, and he pulled her closer to him, stroking her hair. However, she was actually awake. He smirked, somewhat happy the human wasn’t dead or injured to the point of a coma. When she scrambled from the bed and pulled a gun on him, he simply sighed, figuring this was like all the other times humans had the idea of killing him with a gun. He simply held his hands up and smirked.

“Good mo-“, he started, as a bullet pierced his vessel’s head and brain causing a sharp scream to leave his throat. He flipped off the bed and onto the floor, holding a shaky hand over the bullet hole in his forehead. He had to admit it was a good shot, “What the hell is wrong with you?! You can’t just shoot people!”

He heard her continue to yell at him as she stood against the wall. His only instinct was to rush her and snap her neck, but he chose not to. She still had a damn gun. The bullet had lodged just in front of the back of his skull, which caused him to groan loudly, and slap the back of his head, moving the bullet to a spot where his body could expel it.

“You um…ah dammit! You passed out in the hotel. There was no one there that would have been able to keep you safe, while they scrambled all over the place. So…I brought you here.”, he explained, wiping a bit of blood from his nose with another groan. He stepped forward to her, holding his hands out, “I didn’t do anything to you if that’s what you’re worried about. But why the hell would you shoot me?! What have I ever done to you?!”

He reached forward and took the gun from her hand carefully, clicking the safety back on as the blood flowed down his face, his body having issues pushing the bullet out. He slammed the gun down on the table beside her, grabbed his pack of cigarettes at the same moment, “I told you. I owe you.”

Esme Stirling

Esme glared at Cason as he spoke, a fire still burning within her blue eyes. She raised a brow when he told her she couldn’t just shoot people. Well, he wasn’t a normal person; he was a demon, and she knew a shot to the head wouldn’t kill him even if she would have liked it to at that moment. She almost smirked as he tried to dislodge the bullet from his head, but held it back as he continued talking. The fact she woke up in an unfamiliar room, alone with him and having him hold her so close to him, infuriated her. She hardly knew him and still didn’t trust him fully, even if he made sure she was safe.

As he stepped towards her, she gripped her gun, her finger hovering over the trigger. She still felt tempted to shoot him again. Her eyes narrowed as he spoke about not doing anything to her. He may not have, but that still didn’t answer her question. As he took her gun from her hand and slammed it on the table, it was all she could do to keep herself from punching him in the face. “Why the hell wouldn’t I shoot you?!” she yelled at him. “I woke up to find myself in your arms and held close!” She clenched her fists as she continued to glare at him, then turned to the side slightly. “You may feel you owe me for helping Annabeth, but that still doesn’t explain why I woke up on your lap and in your arms!”

Esme pushed past him before the urge to punch him got the best of her, although it probably would have made her feel a little better. She knew the gunshot had to have been heard by the whole hotel, and it was only a matter of time before someone came knocking on or busting through the door from it. She ran her hands through her hair and took a deep breath. She heard a couple pieces of glass hit the carpet from the action. Her emotions were already getting the better of her. Anger and sadness always hit her the strongest when she experienced them.

Cason

Cason raised his eyebrows in utter confusion at Esme’s screaming. He knew she was pissed, but hearing that she was pissed about human touch confused the hell out of him. He glanced over at the gun and then back at her as she continued, “Wait wait wait…that’s not what people do?!”

He screamed back at her, nearly as loud, reaching to try and grab her arm as she passed him. He failed and turned to follow her, stepping up close again, “Listen to me for a second, before you get the giant Winchester in a panic over all the noise. I don’t know how all this works. All this…saving people crap. But I have to stay…where the big one goes. I can’t help that I met you, and now I’m stuck with you…”

He spat the last words through gritted teeth, reaching forward and grabbing her upper arms so she couldn’t punch him. He scanned both her eyes, trying his best to get her to look at him.

“I brought you here, and you had nightmares. They seemed to tear you apart. Now, I’m not a huge fan of, nor am I an expert on humans…but you needed someone to make sure you didn’t hurt yourself. So, I did what I knew to do. Whatever you gathered from that, is your problem…”, he licked a bit of blood that had trailed down his face off his upper lip as he spoke to her, his breath hot on her face. The bullet was still attempting to wiggle its way to his forehead as he spoke, causing his head to bleed pretty badly.

“Now. If you think you can deal, for five seconds without trying to get yourself killed…or kill me, I’m going to smoke, and do some damage control from your tantrum. You should take a shower…”, he muttered, stepping away from her with a small shove and stepping out the door, slamming it behind him.

Esme Stirling

After Esme ran her hands through her hair, she let her arms drop once again to her side with balled fists. She just about snapped back with a smartass remark when he asked that’s not what people do. Instead, she rolled her eyes in response. Of course, a demon wouldn’t understand why she was so pissed about the whole action. Would it even do any good to explain it to him? She turned to face him once more as he continued to talk and brought up Sam and being stuck with her. “Stuck with me.” she said with a small laugh in her tone and he grabbed her arms. She fought against his grip on her but soon gave up, seeing as she couldn’t free herself from his grip by struggling.

Though, if she really wanted to get away, there were still a couple of things she could do, but she refrained from doing so. She glared at him as he searched her eyes and spoke about what happened as she slept. As she listened, she couldn’t quite comprehend why a demon would be so concerned about a human hurting themselves in their sleep. Why did such a simple action, which she was sure would have been done for her, have such an effect on him? When Cason licked the blood from his lip, her eyes drifted upwards to the bullet hole in his forehead. With how badly it was bleeding, she could tell the bullet was slowly working its way out. Her eyes then drifted back to his when he spoke about not getting herself killed or trying to kill him.

His small shove made her step back a couple of steps and smirk at his words. “Tantrum?” she questioned. “If you want to see a tantrum, I’ll show you a tantrum.” she said before the door slammed. Now, with the room to herself, she sighed heavily as she walked over to the bed and sat on the edge of it then punched it. “Holy hellfire.” she whispered as she put her face into her hands. “How in hell did I get myself into this?” Esme ran her hands down her face and looked around the room, focusing on different items to calm herself down. At that moment, she wished she had the dark purple crystal wolf that hung from her car's rear-view mirror. Just looking at it always seemed to calm her pretty quickly.

Taking another deep breath and slowly releasing it, she stood up and walked into the bathroom, closing the door behind her. She didn’t want to admit it, but Cason was right about her needing a shower. She walked over to the shower and turned on the water, then adjusted it to the perfect temperature. “I can already tell this is going to be another long day.” she told herself. She checked the water one last time, then stripped and stepped in. She closed her eyes and stood under the water, letting it run over her face for a moment. She then placed her arms on the wall and leaned against it, letting the hot water run down the back of her head and back to release the tension she was feeling.

Thoughts swirled around in her mind as she stood beneath the hot water. Never in a million years would she have thought she’d have a demon following her around like a lost puppy. If it had been any other day, she would have snuffed him out without a second thought. She still couldn’t understand why she hadn’t killed him yet. Pushing the thoughts from her mind, she then proceed to get herself clean and rid her hair of glass. Once she was clean and her hair was glass free, Esme lingered in the shower for a little while longer before finally forcing herself out. Grabbing a towel she wrapped it around her hair then grabbed another and dried herself off then wrapped it around herself, tucking in a corner so she didn’t have to hold it.

Walking to the door, she cracked it slightly so the steam had a way to escape and cool the bathroom down. Walking over to the sink, she noticed there was a hairdryer hanging on the wall. “Good, I don’t have to walk around with wet hair.” she told herself. Taking the hairdryer from the wall, she set it on the counter before leaning forward and taking the towel off her head. Using the towel she squeezed as much water as she could out of her hair, then threw the towel up on the counter. Then she picked up the hairdryer and started drying her hair, combing through it with her fingers to dry it faster and not have knots in it.

Dean Winchester

Dean kept his arms out, reaching to make sure Mika didn’t fall to the ground again, with her head inury. He hadn’t exactly had a chance to look over her head and make sure she was actually okay. When she patted him, and began dusting herself off, he breathed a sigh of relief.

“Let’s get you back to the truck.”, he whispered, wrapping an arm around her waist and beginning to run with her. Bobby turned his back to the door as they ran out, holding a shotgun up, as if it would work against the man who had just attacked them.

The ride to Sioux Falls was a long one. Dean almost wished they had’ve just waited until they got back to make this call, but he also knew that it wouldn’t have made much of a difference other than a shorter drive. He kept Mika pulled close to him, as a mixture of images from Hell and the Angel flashed through his eyes with every street light that passed.

He offered his shoulder to her, if she needed to sleep, but in the meantime, he played with her fingers like a stress ball. It almost seemed surreal when they pulled into the junkyard, and Dean released a breath that he assumed he had been holding the entire time. They were home. They were safe. This old junkyard was the most peaceful place he could think to come, and it was safe….

“Well. Welcome back home…”, Bobby quipped from the front seat. He stepped out of the truck and threw his hands up, “I need coffee for this crap…”

Annabeth

As soon as they got into the room, Annabeth changed out of her ruined clothes, tossing them into a trash can, tied her hair up and pulled out a scarf tying it around her head - to cover her missing eyes while she slept. She then laid down on the bed closest to the far wall. She didn’t even notice when Sam had gotten to bed, after settling. She was still having to get used to not having eyelids, or eyes rather, and so sleep would be fleeting at best. As soon as she idled her brain, her mind wandered from situation to situation and pain, causing her to jolt awake.

In the dark, at some point in the night, she could hear Sam snoring quietly. The room was pitch black. She could tell, because she couldn’t feel him when she put the glasses on her face. However, she could hear him. Standing from her bed, she carefully tiptoed across the room, gently putting her hands down in order to walk herself around to what felt like the empty side of Sam.

She lowered herself onto the bed, crawling across to sit close to his back. She reached her hand out, touching his back as it rose and fell, deep in sleep. Sighing in relief, she lowered her head to his pillow, curling into a ball against his back, her face buried in his hair.

She felt safe. Her brain was clear. Once again, even wearing a makeshift blindfold, Sam Winchester was as good as Xanax.

NATALIA AND SAM WINCHESTER

Natalia made a point of starting to unload what they needed from her trunk, making sure to pull out Esme's jacket for her as she figured she'd want it as soon as she was awake as she was certain in the pocket were her car keys, though she didn't look inside so she could be wrong. She waited by the cars, spinning her room key round her index finger out of sheer boredom after closing her trunk door and leaned on it in the process, kicking one foot out front. She glanced around the parking lot at seeing who was around if anyone and to see how close they were to the main town.

Sam didn't take too much time ing etting Annabeth to the room in question, opening the door and helping Annabeth inside, guiding her to the bed. "Okay, I'll be right back, just gonna grab the bags" he told her, "Don't answer the door, not that I expect anyone to come knocking but just incase" he told her the age old bit of advice that his brother used to tell him when he was younger, or told Natalia when they first got her out of that place, hidden in their motel room and trying to discuss in hushed volumes about what to do with her, before she ended up joining them. He quickly left the room and jogged to Natalia who was still waiting and grabbed one of the bags off the ground. "That it?" he asked her, "Yeah, that'd we'd need for a night here anyway." She replied to her brother, pushing herself off her car and grabbing her bag and Esme's jacket. "looking at my key number I'm two doors down from you" she explained, with Sam nodding feeling better about her telling him how close she would be. She was still after all considered the baby sister and with how they found her all that time ago, he still worried about her.

They both walked together back toward their rooms where Natalia then separated and headed to her room, with Sam unlocking his room door and entering again, "and I'm back" he told Annabeth, dropping his bag on the floor by the chair and table under the window, seeing that she had managed to change clothes pretty well and smiled to himself. "get some sleep" he suggested to her, going to his own bed and laying down on his back, tucking his hands under his head on the pillow, remaining awake for as long as he could before he fell asleep.

Nat walked to her room, entered and after closing the door behind her, she threw Esme's jacket on the table and chucked her bag on the spare bed before walking over to the now free bed and letting herself just drop onto it with a sigh. This day had been far too long for her liking and she was absolutely knackered. She couldn't help but worry about how Dean, Bobby and Mika were doing but knew fretting over them would do no good in the long run. She'd just have to wait to hear from one of them with an update, even if it was through Sam. She remained flat out on the bed for a good fifteen minutes before she pulled herself up, went to her bag to grab her bathroom bag and decided to go for a shower, peeling herself out of her clothes as she walked to the bathroom, glad that for once she didn't have someone else in the room with her so she could do what she wanted. Turning the shower on, she let the water heat up to a temperature she liked, stepped inside and sighed with relief as she felt the water hit her full on. She scrubbed through her hair and saw little bits of wood splinters fall from it and onto the shower floor. Making sure not to get any of them in her feet, she continued to wash herself before feeling like she was done, exited the shower, wrapped a towel round herself and exit the bathroom.

Annoyingly her room didn't have a hairdryer available unlike some of the other rooms. Grumbling in irritation she resorted to towel drying her hair as much as possible, changing into some pyjamas and decided an early night was required. It took her a matter of minutes after getting into the bed to fall asleep, practically pulling the duvet nearly completely over her head, a habit she picked up to do in the asylum. If she did that it could block out all the dangers of the asylum, from there the habit never broke.

------

By the morning Natalia wished she could have slept a bit longer but no matter how much she tried to go back to sleep she couldn't, so giving in to consciousness she did. She sat up, stretching her arms above her head, hearing the odd little click in her back as she did so and pulled herself out of bed, over to her bag and started getting dressed. Noticing her reflection in the nearby mirror she saw her hair had dried with her natural waves appearing and sighed. She pulled out a tshirt, a pair of black distressed jeans and some clean underwear, getting dressed unaware that there was a full blown argument happening in Esme's room with Cason.

Sam woke up rubbing his face when he suddenly clocked that Annabeth was hugging him from behind, her face buried into his back, or more precisely into the back of his hair. Smiling to himself, he carefully peeled himself away from her just enough to turn over and brush her hair away from her face. "Morning sleepy head" he softly spoke. He lert her wake up first before he got up out of beed and headed to his bag, realising he slept in his clothes from yesterday, but then he heard a gunshot which made his head snap upwards and towards the outside like a meerkat looking for danger on a dusty desert hill. He grabbed his own handgun, tucking it into his jeans, "Stay here" he told Annabeth, carefully going outside and checking it out before seeing Cason outside smoking with a gunshot wound in his head. "What the hell did you do!?" he hushed yelled at him.

MIKA CHAMBERS

Mika was thankful for the fact that Dean was standing by just incase she did have a wobble but luckily she didn't. Nodding in agreement she let him wrap an arm around her waist and ran with him back to the truck, where she gladly got inside in the back making room for him as she just knew there was no way he'd get in the front passenger seat not after she managed to clock herself in the head. She laid her head on his shoulder when he offered it as a cushion, letting him fidget with her hands which weirdly comforted her and lulled her into a sleep. She slept for a good chunk of the ride back to Souix Falls, and was awake for around the last half hour of the trip, sighing when they did make it back seeing the all too familiar homme she grew up in.

Getting out she stretched a little before smirking at her uncle's comment, "you always need coffee" she quipped back at him, taking Dean's hand and walking inside with him. With the two of them, she too welcomed getting a drink as well as taking some painkillers for the headache she had, before she told them both she was heading to bed first for the night, which she did. She slept right through the night undisturbed, probably for the first time in months if she was honest with herself.

Annabeth

Annabeth sighed sleepily as she heard Sam’s voice in her ear, just as she was waking up from him turning over. She gave a soft smile, placing her mouth below the blanket before muttering, “Good morning…”

As he left the bed, she groaned, not wanting his warmth to be gone. It felt cold in the hotel room, so at least the air conditioning worked well. She sat up carefully, almost forgetting that she had tied the bandana around her head in the middle of the night. She was pretty thankful, since she didn’t want Sam to have to look at her face much, without a cover.

At the gunshot, she jumped and tried to locate Sam with her ears before he spoke. She nodded her head in his general direction, and left the bed. She didn’t want to stay, but she remembered back to the last time she hadn’t listened to him. So, she stepped over carefully and slipped her boots on her feet without tying the laces. She then sat down at the table, Sam’s bag nearby in case she needed a weapon.

Sam and Cason - collab

Cason leaned against the bricks of the hotel, taking a deep inhale of the cigarette he was smoking. When Sam Winchester bolted out of a door nearby, he rolled his eyes.

“What did I do?!”, he asked, his cigarette between his lips causing his speech to be muttled. He stared up at the larger man and pointed at his forehead, which was still oozing blood as the bullet made it’s final push to leave his skin, “Bitch shot me in the head!”

"what did you do to make her shoot you in the head?" he asked him, slightly relaxing when he saw it was just Cason, but not fully letting all tension leave his shoulders just yet. He couldn't help but glance his eyes toward the room Esme would be in before looking back at Cason once more." seriously, she doesn't seem the type to shoot you for no reason" he added before Cason could reply.
Cason rolled his eyes once more, as the bullet dropped onto the ground between them, and his forehead healed itself. He shrugged his shoulders, "I touched her in her sleep, and not even in a sexy way, ya know? And when she woke up, she shot me in the head. Apparently, she's allergic to concern…"

Sam rose an eyebrow when Cason worded his reply in the way he did, it only lowered bsck down when he said it wasn't in a sexy way. "I should hope not." he simply replied, meaning about the not touching in her sleep without her consent. That was not a topic he wanted to talk about a second time in his life about another woman. "okay...fine" he said back with a sigh. "is she okay now?" he asked.

Cason turned his eyes to face the window Esme was behind, before he shrugged his shoulders and reached a hand up to rub the spot where the bullet hole had been, "I dunno. She yelled a lot. She threw a tantrum, and either she's seething in here, or she took a shower like...a human.”

He narrowed his eyes and pointed at Sam's chest, "And How's Anna? I know she stayed with you, because of her...stuff. But I mean, she lost her eyes. I can't imagine she's taking it well. Has she mentioned me?”

Sam listened and hoped Esme was indeed alright, hoping she managed to get a shower to calm down. It did seem like an utter overreaction to an poor decision mistake. He glanced back toward his room and then back at Cason, shaking his head. "she basically just fell asleep last night. Woke up to her hugging me but that's it. She didn't really talk at all last night to be honest" he told him. He wasn't going to lie to the demon, no matter what weird human emotion he seemed to have grown for her. "I'm guessing she's holding up as well as one would to losing their eyes." he added.

Cason nodded slowly, a slight feeling of jealousy rolling up into his chest as he stood with Sam. He tossed his cigarette out into the parking lot and turned to re-enter his room, "You see to it that she's safe, until she wises up and understands that running with the Winchesters is the quickest path to exactly what she experienced the other night. She'll see who you really are, and when that happens...I'll be out of your hair. But if she dies...well...that'll be a different conversation for us…"

Sam sighed, partially rolling his eyes at Cason's warning. "yeah yeah, heard it all before" he said, brushing off the warning before he turned on his heels and headed bsck to his own room. "oh," he spoke up, pausing before going in, "Tell Esme Natalia has her jacket" he told him before walking back inside the room.

Cason sighed at Sam not acknowledging his warning. He huffed a few times, waving him off about the jacket, and stepped into his room. He didn’t expect to see Esme in a towel when he stepped in, quickly diverting his eyes from her to the wall next to her with a clearing of his throat.

“So you, uh…took a shower.”, he muttered, his eyes fighting to stay off her body, even though it was covered by a towel. He inwardly groaned at how stupid his mind was acting right then. He cleared his throat again and bit his lip.

“Um…the um…the bullet fell out. So, there’s that. How are you feeling now?”, he stammered.

Dean Winchester

Dean groaned a bit as he sat up from his spot at the kitchen table. He had spent all night going through books with Bobby for some hint of what they were dealing with, with angels. At some point in the night, he figured the whiskey had taken hold and caused him to fall asleep.
He stood from the table and slowly walked to the stairs, scratching his head. He ascended, a little worried about Mika’s shape, although the head wound she had was miniscule. He still worried about her, constantly.

He pushed the door to her room open carefully and snuck in. Taking his place on her side of the bed, he leaned over her in a sort of hug, leaning down to her ear with a small kiss, “We have work to do…”

He whispered the words in her ear with a slight smirk, before giving her cheek a small kiss.

Esme Stirling

By the time Cason made it back into the room, Esme had finished drying her hair and was combing through it with her fingers, with the bathroom door open. The bathroom had become too hot for the door to be cracked slightly. She didn’t notice him until he cleared his throat. She had a song playing in her head that had all her attention. She slightly flinched at him clearing his throat, she looked at him through the mirror at first before turning slightly to look at him, holding the towel close as he spoke. She found it amusing that Cason averted his eyes to the wall and stammered as he spoke. She couldn’t stop the smirk that came to her lips at his actions.

“Yes, I did.” she said in a relaxed tone, moving out of sight and cracking the door. She leaned against the wall next to the door, just barely able to see him through the crack of the door in the mirror. She held back a laugh as he said the bullet finally made its way out of his head. She had noticed before she moved into the bathroom. She then released a small sigh at his question. “I’m better.” she told him. “The shower helped calm me, but I’m still not too happy about waking up in your arms and being held so close.” she continued. She rested her head against the wall behind her, looking up, and sighed heavily aasked,t the thought of what she woke up to.

The only ones to hold her like that were her family and Dean, but she knew them, so it didn’t bother her. She had only just met Cason and hardly knew a thing about him, other than being a demon, and he had some sort of feelings for Annabeth. She looked back into the mirror to watch him for a moment, then looked down at her clothes on the floor in a pile. “Umm….. Do you happen to have any clean clothes out there I could put on?” she asked, looking once again in the mirror at him. In her anger, it had slipped her mind that she had nothing with her but the clothes on her back and her gun, which was still on the table Cason slammed it on.

She could put the clothes she had back on, but she risked the chance of being cut and scratched by any leftover glass and wood splinters in them from yesterday. She didn’t really want to put them back on or walk around in a towel, which she had to do a few times before. It really wasn’t a pleasant experience for her at the time or to remember.

Cason

Cason stepped carefully into the room a bit further, making sure the door was shut behind him, before he walked to the bathroom doorway and leaned against the wall outside as she spoke. He cringed when she mentioned him being so close to her, once again.

“I think the right way to handle this situation, typically would be to say…I’m sorry?”, he asked gently, glancing his eyes toward the doorway while he waited for her to confirm. When she continued about needing clothes, he thought pretty hard, narrowing his eyes in thought.

“Um…”, he started, raising his eyebrows, “I could go…get you some clothes, I guess. I already have someone headed to get your car as we speak. It should be here in maybe an hour.”

He shuffled his feet a bit, and adjusted his stance. Peeking around the door frame, he leaned his face on it, giving her as much puppy eye as he could muster, “…I figured you might want your stuff. I’ll be right back.”

He disappeared, and only several seconds later returned with clothes draped over his arm, and a pair of boots in his hand. He didn’t even bother landing in the other room, at this point, just tried his best not to stare as he held the clothes out to her, “All black will suit you, well…"

Esme Stirling

Esme continued to lean against the wall and watch him through the mirror as he made his way into the room and to the wall outside the door. She shook her head and rolled her eyes as he spoke about how to handle this situation. “Yes, that’s normally how it’s handled.” she said before he moved on about her clothes situation. At the mention of her car and someone going to get it, her eyes went wide. She didn’t like the fact that someone she didn’t know was going to be in her car. She turned to the door and came face to face with his attempt at puppy dog eyes.

Before she could even voice how she felt about someone in her car, she heard him say he’d be back before he vanished. Esme didn’t have time to sigh or pull herself away from the door before he reappeared, nearly causing her to jump out of her skin by appearing in the bathroom with her. She spun around and threw a right-handed punch at him. “What the hell is wrong with you?!” she yelled at him. “You don’t just appear in a bathroom with a woman wearing nothing but a towel!” She sighed heavily as she held her towel tightly around her as she took several steps back.

She was thankful for the clothes he brought her, but he didn’t have to pop into the bathroom to hand them to her. He could have popped back in from where he left and handed them to her through the door. She ran a hand down her face with another heavy sigh as she calmed herself. Thoughts swirled in her mind, and she shook her head slowly. “Looks like you’ve got some things to learn about women.” she said in almost a whisper. “I’m thankful for the clothes, but you would have been better off passing them through the door.” she said looking at him.

Cason

Cason stared at her for a few seconds, waiting for her to calm from him scaring her, closing his eyes because he knew he had screwed up. Just as his eyes fluttered closed, a punch connected with his nose, and he groaned, taking a few steps back from her as well.

“AH! I didn’t mean to! I was thinking about you when I landed and Jesus Christ!”, he muttered through his fingers, gently laying the clothes on the closed toilet, and the boots falling to his feet. He stepped back through the door, “Sorry. I’m sorry. But you know, I’ve seen naked women before.”

As he spoke, his nose carefully pieced itself back together behind his hand, and stopped bleeding. He snorted and continued speaking to her from the other room, “…I’m doubting you have anything going on so shocking that I couldn’t recover. Stop being so violent!”

He stepped backward and sat down on the bed, keeping a watch on the bathroom door, where he could still see her moving around. This human was going to be the biggest pain in the ass, if he chose to stick around. Whatever trust issues she had, aside from his being a demon, he was going to have to tiptoe around…especially when she was around the Winchesters and their magic pig sticker.
