Is there clearly something wrong with my RP ideas?

My guess is that all of your ideas are restricted to a single fandom. That’ll naturally result in you having a narrower audience.

Try broadening your horizons.

Also, take this with a grain of salt, but most Pokemon enthusiasts are animanga fans and therefore, would prefer to RP characters with anime aesthetics (you know, like the art they use for the official games and comics/manga), and not photographs of real people.

-You're a new user, which is a bit of a flight risk. People don't want to join an RP if there's a chance their GM will up and leave on them.

-Your OOC for your RP is poorly formatted. The first paragraph or so of an interest check should hold my hand and tell me what your RP is about and what I'm playing as. You have a few bullet points followed by several images that are all different sizes and look like they are from a bunch of different movies instead of the same world. A well formatted OOC is as close as you can get to a resume for GMs.

-Fandoms and genres attract people with certain interests. If I make a romance RP, people are going to expect their characters to grow closer to others. If I make a pokemon RP, people are going to expect anime aesthetics and for it to take place in Pokemon's world. Making everything real and putting it in America strips Pokemon of its draws. You can absolutely bend a genre/fandom one way or the other, but go too far and you'll lose everyone. My Danganronpa RP had nothing to do with hope's peak or even high school students, but I made sure to keep the core experience alive by keeping the anime aesthetic and basing the entire thing around a killing game. If you're going to make a fandom RP, it's important to understand the fans and know what they want.

You probably should practice some patience. It takes time to get people on board for roleplays. It could be days or weeks, maybe more, it just depends. Ultimately the decision is up to you, but maybe expand on your request thread. Yes, you like Pokemon it seems. Have other fandoms or even original ideas too. Having other interests can't hurt. You can also reach out to other people as well rather than wait for them to come to you.

I would suggest trying to find existing RPs that are close to what you enjoy and join one of them to get started.

As others have said starting an RP is a lot harder than joining one, especially when you're new. Join one. Find some writers you like. Get to know them. Learn a bit about formatting (this place is weird as hell that way, I still have to pull up the little helper thing more often than not) on this site so your Interest Checks can be easier to interact with.

Starting an RP of your own means you are competing with everyone who already has one open or is about to open one. As a brand new user you are at an inherent disadvantage in that since no one knows you, you don't know anyone, and you have relatively niche interests.

Plus as Gravity said things can move slowly. Sometimes the community is in a slump or there are enough big RPs active that no one really has time for a small one. I can't tell you how many RPs I've been in that died before they got past like three pages of posts.

Bear in mind too that as many users as we have here and on the Discord more than half of them don't actually RP, rarely RP, or divide their RPing between this site, other sites, Discord, and PMs.

Patience is required. Even the best GMs and RPers here have a hard time sometimes.
