Welcome to the greatest tale ever told: Nomadic Odyssey: Find Your Heart.A reboot of an RP that I ran so long ago that amassed such a community that it absolutely had to return. It's the story of a group of warriors known as Nomads - supernatural fighters that journey for whatever dream or goal they wish to accomplish - going on adventures throughout this strange world.

The RP will be a supernatural martial arts story mixed with a fantasy-kitchen sink. Where the players more or less will get to forge the lore through their characters. Everything's possible and allowed in this wacky tale of martial arts. It won't be an arena RP, but instead, it'll have the vibes/aesthetic of a 90's fighting game or anime. Think of stories like Dragon Ball Z, Street Fighter, One Piece, One Punch Man, and so on.

The story will begin with the legendary fighting tournament that takes place in Brazil: The World Fighting Carnival! An annual fighting tournament where Nomads and the best fighters get together and battle it out for whatever prizes the tournament offers this year. Usually, it's money and fame - however, this year the tournament is offering a prize like no other: An almighty Power Stone. The Power Stones are a group of different crystals that emit incredible power; whoever holds it will have their abilities increased a hundredfold. With just one crystal, a Nomad will hold incredible power and thus, this year's Fighting Carnival attracts warriors from all over the world.

However, a new threat will take the world stage and spring off a brand new adventure! The mechanical being known as Oh-One, a powerful and nigh-unstoppable automaton that desires human emotion and the perfection of mankind will make itself known. Oh-One plans on attacking the tournament and stealing the Power Stone for his own goals and will begin a new adventure as the Nomads will travel from place to place attempting to track down the machine. The Nomads will experience new and exciting journeys as they travel the world attempting to be the one to defeat Oh-One. However, there's more than what meets the eye to this journey and Oh-One is simply more than just a simple machine - he cannot be defeated alone. The Nomads will have to come together if they hope to stand a chance against Oh-One.

The theme of the RP will be Following your Dreams, Don't be Afraid to take the Journey, and Not Doing Everything Alone.

My awkward foray back into the roleplaying community after like a year of not making any RPs. I'm not expecting this to explode into a giant; several year arrpee but I'm taking more as a for-fun type thing. I think I need to get back to my spontaneous roots in order to start enjoying roleplaying again and all this Street Fighter 6 content got me in the mood again. This RP is meant to be heavily character-focused as I think the strength of the previous RPs was its characters and their interactions with each other (More so than the fights). So I would hope for some very strong and interesting characters that stand out from each other. I'm not going to provide ANY lore as the lore will be entirely told and explored through the characters. If any of this interests you, then come by the Discord Server.

1. First and foremost I reserve the right to reject anyone from the RP and boot them out at any time. I hate to do this and I will try to avoid it but sometimes some people are too disruptive to the RP or aren't a good fit and have to be removed. 2. Please try to be respectful towards all other players at all times. 3. Please do not post a "wip" sheet. I find it very irritating when someone posts an incomplete character sheet. If you want me to read over what you have so far, just PM it to me. If you need a place to work on it just private message the sheet to yourself (or write it on one of many platforms). 4. You're allowed to have as many characters as you can handle... just don't go too crazy. 5. All I ask for is one post a week. If it's been a week since your last post, your character will be placed into the inactive section until they are written off. Once a character is inactive, however, they are officially an NPC and can be used freely by the GMs, or the players. 6. Character death is a real possibility. By submitting a character, you understand that they have to take responsibility for their actions. They will not be bailed out by me and may get injured or die. I won't jeopardize the story for one character. They can also be killed by other characters. I won't go out of my way to kill off any character - that I like - but I may injure them for the sake of the story.

7. The setting is a kitchen sink type deal, you can roll with whatever you think will fit the setting. The lore is left intentionally blank and I'm intending on building up a whole new ahh setting from the characters and the IC. So we can have mystical kingdoms, robots, whatever. Just know the RP takes place on Earth in the year 20XX. 8. While this RP is based on fighting games/anime, it's not an arena RP. It's mostly supposed to be a light-hearted RP in which people can use creative/fun ideas and have fun in a zany world. If you're one of those "play to win" dudes, go home. 9. As for the fights between characters, we'll be going for a very simple rule: whatever is more interesting for the story. That means, instead of trying to make your character the winner, you should decide what would be the most interesting story to write. What would make the most interesting character developments, etc. Wish I didn't have to overtly say it, but I feel it necessary.

T Y P E S O F N O M A D S Hider M A R T I A L A R T I S T S The most baseline Nomad is the Martial Artists. These warriors are not enhanced by magic or technology but use their large amounts of ki to get by. They are by the fact the most common type of Nomad because most of them are just martial artists who just trained to become powerful warriors. They come in all shapes and sizes, and use all sorts of different styles of martial arts, and some even use weapons. This isn't to imply that some Martial Artists haven't incorporated magical or technological tools into their arsenal. M Y T H I C S The world of magic is a different one from ki. Mythics range from all types of beings from mythological creatures like dragons, Onis, and other such things to wizards and other such magicians. Mythics can be born as creatures, a nomad can have their "magic" flowing through their flood, and can even learn magic. T E C H N O L O G I C A L Obviously a newer entry into the Nomadic world, Machines cover any artificially created or augmented being forged through the incredible power of science. Ranging from cyborgs to androids to sentient drones, machines forgo ki in favor of advanced technology to give them an edge in any fight. For that reason machines rarely use ki themselves, though some partially Machine beings like cyborgs can still use it, so long as part of them is living enough to draw life force from.

The year is 20xx. The world of Nomadic Odyssey is a fantastical one driven by a mysterious force known as Ki. Other than that, the world is similar to the one of our own, but different in so many ways it'd take an essay to note them all. Ki at its simplest can be called Life-energy, a supernatural and esoteric form of energy in which certain individuals can train to utilize it. The manifestation of ki can be doing feats that are unheard of and impossible like surviving impossible drops, shooting lightning, and so on. Ki can be increased by increasing someone's fighting spirit - in essence, training the body and mind in various forms. The most common and renowned way of enhancing ki is training in martial arts. Any martial art can enhance someone's ki to powerful levels. It was common knowledge until a few years ago that only Eastern Martial arts can build ki, but now boxing, and even fencing, is known to increase someone's ki. Even weapon training can enhance ki, as it's raising "fighting spirit." It can take years upon years of training before someone can gain immense power. Many of these warriors with powerful fighting-spirit within them are known as Nomads. A Nomad is known as a traveling warrior who uses his supernatural talents to follow their dreams, whatever they are. They can be martial artists, but some are magicians or cyborgs, but they travel and fight and come in contact with each other. Some are famous, others are lesser-known, but they're often brought in contact with each other as if there is a sort of invisible force pushing them together. Some join forces but many of them fight. One of the most basic ki techniques is Ki-Sensing. It's a technique that lets people detect ki sources (aka people) in the area. Depending on the level of training will allow them to sense from further, pinpoint their location, or even identify the source of ki. Those require training from someone who knows how to ki-sense, however, there are devices and magical instruments that allow ki-sensing.

MAVERICK is the shining frontline organization for the defense of innocents against threats they cannot handle. They train soldiers and other Nomads specifically in handling Nomads and other supernatural threats. They mainly use technology to compensate for their lack of ki, but they also employ Nomads and other such beings (They have even a magic division). MAVERICK is responsible for saving the world countless times and defeating many criminal Nomads... however, they have a dark secret: They are a puppet organization of MIRAGE, who gained power by taking out their leadership and the usage of mind control. Abel commands them with an iron fist to serve in his and Pariah's goals.

MIRAGE... is a dangerous organization, in fact, the most dangerous one in the world. They're noted to be a terrorist organization but their goals are more noble: protecting the world against Alien invaders. They're vast and strong, consisting of many different Nomads and other beings, but their main fighting force is a legion of machines of different sizes and types. MIRAGE's frontrunner is Abel, a man who made himself known to the world by attacking Cairo for some reason and has participated in many raids, attacks, and other deals to further this cause. Behind Abel is the Pariah... a woman that is even more mysterious, as mysterious as she is intelligent and dangerous. They're all working towards one goal, and it probably doesn't bode well for the world.

Founded decades ago following the death of (in)famous Nomad superhero Ryuji Raiden, SHINING is a corporation interested in protecting the Earth… as well as their profits. Most famous for their wildly successful Justice Riders franchise, the organization has the uncanny ability to sniff out Nomad talent, get them under a contract, train and equip them, and make them into a brand, complete with everything from TV shows to toy lines. Though based in Japan, SHINING operates across the world, with many governments paying the organization to deal with superpowered threats in a more... PR-friendly fashion. Though the flashy, marketing-focused way they conduct themselves has earned them significant criticism, SHINING remains the ideal place for the charismatic, photogenic superhero willing to sign on for a few advertising deals.

The League Of Bounty Hunters is a by-and-large independent group of contractors who collect on bounties provided by the country or by private sectors and people, the legality of this varies but the standard practice is complete confidentiality in regards to the latter kind of bounties. Because of the large and often shady elements of the organization, it attracts average thugs and dregs of society as much as it has skilled and deadly warriors in its rank. Because of its sheer size, the League is active all over the world with typically an agent or two stationed in major cities or known “offices” to trickle down and assign jobs to league members and handle the money to and from clients.

Created several years ago in the year 20XX by Captain Cole, the Cole Pirates are an infamous band of thieves and looters that gained world recognition. They stole countless artifacts and other items of value for no reason other than to boost Captain Cole's ego. He wants to be known as the world's greatest supervillain, and thief, and have his exploits go down in history. Once you see their pirate ship expect them to part with everything valuable you have, or expect an invitation to his crew. Captain Cole is known for offering strong fighters a place on his key, to the point where any identified member of the Cole Pirates instantly has a bounty placed on them. His crew is a diverse mixture of Martial Artists, Mythics, and Cyborgs, and they are incredibly powerful as a force and have clashed with MAVERICK, The Justice Riders, and the League of Bounty Hunters.

Horizon Frontiers is one of the largest, most influential scientific foundations across the world, working fervently towards its research of medicine and technology. On the surface, theirs is a charitable endeavor, working towards prosthetics and DNA splicing to eradicate all of the lesser ailments to mankind.

Yet underneath a clean face and miles of red tape, Horizon Frontiers approaches such a goal with much less ethics and subtlety. Their true objective is to bring about the artificial advancement of humanity, using their gene modification and cybernetics to mirror what can be accomplished by training and discipline as with most Nomads, creating a league of artificially empowered assassins to constantly perfect and refine their formula, with facilities and labs across the globe working in tireless perfect tandem.

The main focus of Horizon Frontiers is the topic of Ki, a mysterious force of energy representative of an individual, that when properly understood and mastered, can allow an individual a wide variety of powerful abilities. Horizon Frontiers seeks to capitalize on the phenomena, artificially accomplishing what would otherwise take years of training and meditation to properly master, by using various alterations and procedures to control and accelerate the growth of one’s power and capabilities.

However, power never comes cheap. At the current point in time, all of Horizon Frontier’s enhancements bring significant risk and harm to all of their Operatives whenever they’re performed. Even on a good day, their procedures have a ~25% chance of survival, and even then the survivors usually suffer some form of mental or physical backlash, usually in the form of reducing their lifespans or rendering them with varying degrees of insanity. The most likely reason is that their body’s Ki is being artificially enhanced and spiked far beyond what their bodies are capable of handling, making it less of a lifeforce harmonized with their being and more of a caustic, overpowering force that constantly wears and stresses their body and mind.

Despite the long line of atrocities Horizon Frontiers has committed with even more questionable results, Horizon Frontiers continues their pursuits no matter the cost, kidnapping and “studying” prominent Nomads and attempting to exceed natural growth, casting their shadow over the Nomad community across the world.

The Stones of Power are nine immensely powerful artifacts that have existed since the start of reality itself. It's unknown where they have come from, or why they exist in the first place, but they are immensely powerful. It is capable of generating limitless amounts of ki and granting whoever is holding it incredible power. The kind of power to destroy the world, if all nine gems are gathered together. The Stones of Power were the center of hundreds of different conflicts as many have attempted to use them for their power. However, if one Power Stone is destroyed, it will erupt in a massive, city-destroying, explosion and will regenerate in a few hundred years in a random spot on the planet. This is why there is presently only one Power Stone in play as the other power stones were destroyed in a legendary battle between two Nomads.

A scrappy girl with short, frazzled black hair and brown skin. She's about 5'4 with an athletic, toned build. She wears baggy hoodies and jeans in casual settings that are cooler. On the streets she's usually wearing a tanktop and the same jeans but rolled up. She sometimes wears a football jersey. And it's always with the sneakers with her though for her 17th birthday she got a green and black set of fighting gear to wear in her matches.

BACKSTORY & MOTIVATION

Born with a big family in a big favela, Bea's life was not one of mean. She had two sisters, one older, one younger, two parents obviously, an uncle, a grandfather, and a grandmother, and that was all just living in their two storey house of colorful brick. Beatriz loves all of them but she is probably closest to her little sister Bianca, and her father.

Bianca was often picked on for being weird, this irked Beatriz greatly. She often got into scraps about it. Back when she was a kid she was usually called ugly, but she tried to never let it get to her. But when it came to her sister, she couldn't abide by it.

Growing up Beatriz loved football like most kids did, and she got very good at it. Little did she know she had already begun to awaken her fighting spirit, and her determination to get better at sports to prove herself began to build ki. There's sports, there's martial arts, but there also exist martial sports, and it is there that her power began to grow.

Interested in self-empowerment (and being able to slobberknock her enemies) she began to look into martial arts and picked up kick boxing. While football was fun, she began to realize that she didn't really care about the teamwork aspect, only her own personal skill. Finally, Bea felt like she had found her passion in the world of martial sports. The excitement, the danger, the devastating losses and euphoric highs, and she was just a rookie. People were forced to treat her like an equal in the ring. It didn't matter who she was or where she came from. Could she fight? That was all that mattered. What else was she going to do, become a lawyer?

Beatriz wanted to be rich and famous. She wanted to lift up her community. She wanted to improve herself, and prove herself. She wanted to have fun! She also wanted to do something she was good at, and it quickly become apparent that yes, she was very good at fighting. Beatriz could be called a prodigy, and she might equally blush and become angry, because it's not like she hasn't worked her ass off to get as good as she has.

Being a Nomad was just a good fit. She didn't need much, really, to survive, and it was an opportunity for her to travel the world at a young age. And being a talented ki-fighter meant that if someone wanted to mess with her or take advantage of her, they'd regret it.

She has a lot of potential reasons to be a Nomad, and she can name any of them easily. But which one is the main one? Are any of them? Maybe there's something more that she is seeking on this journey. Maybe she's trying to find herself. If there is an answer, the only way to find it as at the end...if there even is one.

Regardless, big tournaments are great places to find people that have, or are seeking, their own answers. And fighting strong people is the best way to get strong. (Not that she doesn't enjoy clowning on people way beneath her, given the opportunity.) That's why she joins tournaments. Especially the World Fighting Carnival.

FIGHTING STYLE & ABILITIES

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Bea is a kickboxer with an all-around fighting style. She tends to adapt to her opponents and counter their weaknesses by using the areas she is better in. Countering speedy fighters with defense, strong fighters with speed, defensive fighters with strength. She developed this fighting style because she wanted to be able to beat anyone. She'll try to deduce when to play offensively or defensely and fight accordingly.

She can lay on the pressure with strong kicks and punches, though she can fight from a distance with her step-kicks that give her deceptive range. Quick strikes to soften up the opponent, or simply catch speedier ones, are also on the tableBeatriz developed a ki-technique she simply calls Fireball. With a bit of focus she can create a ball of fire about the size of a football and use it to attack at range or for utility.

SIGNATURE MOVES

■ [Hyped Up]

[Taking a few moments to herself in the middle of a fight, she channels the Ki in the environment and uses it to power up her next signature move, or gain access to one. It leaves herself open in the process. When finished, she will emit a faint green and black aura that is expended on the next signature move.]

■ [Toe Bounce]

[Focusing and performing a Toe Bounce results in creating a Fireball. She can bounce it from foot to foot, off the environment, or kick it into enemies, and move it at various speeds. A very versatile projectile, if not as speedy as others.

Hyped Up: The projectile can both move faster, and slower, richochet more, and has more durability and damage.]

■ [Sidewinder]

[A powerful kick with long range. It is good for launching her Fireball or for blowing through enemy projectiles should she predict them.

Hyped Up: A green trail slices behind her kick, giving it more range. She can strike through stronger projectiles and interrupt stronger attacks.]

■ [Slide Tackle]

[An aggressive move that leaves Bea open if countered. But she can slide low with deceptive distance and sweep enemies off their feet and disrupt their balance and quickly follow up for offense. Good for passing under projectiles or long strikes aimed at her upper body.

Hyped Up: Longer range, faster start up, and less recovery to improve the amount of space she can use it without getting punished. It can now also interract with Toe Bounce to change the trajectory of her Fireball, or create a Fireball. ]

■ [Haymaker]

[Bea throws her strength into a mighty punch. Slow, but difficult to interrupt with common attacks. Painful if blocked. Good for risky moves or finishing off a series of combo strikes. Typically drives opponents into the ground to create a small amount of distance. She can charge it up mid-swing, making it slower but increasing it's damage and knock back.

Hyped Up: The move can break through the attacks of stronger opponents, and becomes harder to interrupt, requiring stronger attacks to stop. If blocked, it will typically throw off the opponents defence to let her attack first, instead of being at a slight disadvantage afterward like usual. Haymaker will also send opponents flying, creating more distance. Unless they hit a wall, in which case they will bounce off of it and come flying back at Bea, ironically creating less distance and allowing follow up attacks. ]

■ [Quick Step]

[Leaving behind the faint echo of an after image, Bea moves quickly in a chosen direction. While Quick Stepping she cannot change direction. But it offers her greater mobility and versatility.

Hyped Up: She can move a little on her linear path to avoid strikes and projectiles, and she can follow Quick Step up with strikes that come out fast and let her lay on pressure.]

■ [Rolling Strikes]

[Like she is weighing less, Bea travels in a chosen direction (but covers the most distance forward) and swings out her fists or legs in a precise spin that leaves her up close. Usually this move, when struck, exchanges damage for pressure. It's also easier to land being faster and safer.

Hyped Up: Rolling Strikes gain green afterslices like Sidewinder, extending it's range and letting her deflect weaker projectiles. It can also knock the opponent down.]

■ [Check It]

[Bea throws her fist high into the air and her body follows after it. A leaping uppercut that creates a large amount of distance between Bea and her opponent should it land. It also excels at knocking opponents out of the air. Hugely vulnerable if blocked or dodged.

Hyped Up: She can throw her shoulder into it, letting her advance to give it more range. It also becomes very fast and nearly impossible to interrupt.]

SUPER MOVES

■ [Bicycle Kick]

[Bea supercharges her fireball, turning it's center bright green. She hooks the ball around her foot and spins backwards, launching it at high speed where it will explode on contact, or richochet depending on how she angles it. A versatile super for a multitude of purposes.]

■ [Big Fuck Off Punch]

[What it says on the tin. A mighty Haymaker to finish off combos and put down her opponents, or at least lay on the damage. It is much faster than the usual Haymaker, but it can also be charged up much longer for truly explosive effect. Hugely vulnerable if blocked or dodged, but she will typically only use it when she is confident it will land. Or if she needs to destroy something, badly. ]

■ [It's Everything I Have]

[Bea's aura flashes and takes a more solid shape of orange and green flames around her person. All of her special moves are Hyped Up for a limited amount of time.]

WEAKNESSES & LIMITS

Jack of all trades, master of none. With every new opponent she will have to figure out a new set of disadvantages and try to cover the holes in her strategy and moveset. While she is versatile, opponents can capitalize on their strength faster than she can hers. Specialists will always specialize into anything far greater than she can.

While her inexperience gives her the boon of a fresh perspective and a new way of thinking to take stubborn vets off guard, it's still inexperience. She doesn't know all the ways that people can fight and will have to learn on the fly, and she might not get enough time to learn mid-fight before she loses. And she has less of a feel for fighting in general, with undeveloped instincts, meaning she can occasionally panic or overrely on strategies.

Besides some basic throws and throw escape techniques, she has no grappling ability.

Has no experience with magic or advanced technology. Anything that isn't just a fancier version of a normal weapon like a gun or a sword or a punch or a kick will be new to her.

Jill’s looks are, in a nutshell, perfectly maintained. The figure of a model, not a blonde hair out of place, and not the slightest blemish on her face. She has clear blue eyes, and might initially give off the impression of naivete, but she has a constant controlled energy about her, always looking out for a new source of adrenaline. She tends towards flashy yet marketable cowgirl outfits, with designer jeans, big high boots, white stetson hat, and a brown leather jacket that she keeps slung over her shoulder in the hot Brazil climate when she’s not riding her bike, revealing a simple yet functional white tank top.

In battle, she dons a shiny, tricked-out belt to henshin and become Justice Rider Blaze, sporting a beautiful silver, white and blue chestpiece, gauntlets, and greaves on top of a dark spandex-like substance designed to aid in ki flow. The armor bears a resemblance to motorcycle gear, with hints of underlying exhaust and machinery. The most prominent piece of the suit is the long, flowing, light blue scarf, the size of which puts any lesser superhero to shame.

She’s accompanied by a small floating drone designated P1T-5T0P (nicknamed Pit Stop), that fits into her bike and serves as her cameraman, as well as a repair crew during combat when she’s too occupied to do so herself.

There is much that could be said about the Justice Riders, though they are so well-known that there is little need for introduction. Though they were formed as SHINING’s flagship franchise, their origins could not be properly conveyed without examining the family’s patriarch.

Many, many years ago, in 19XX, a clandestine terrorist organization known as SCYTHE silently wreaked havoc across the world, aiming to conquer it via forced modification of mankind by means of cybernetics, mutation, and the occult. A would-be hero, Ryuji Raiden, stood against them, using his own modifications made from SCYTHE’s very own technology against them.

As his quest and a sudden whirlwind romance took him across Japan, word began to spread of his exploits and legendary charisma. He was quick to capitalize on this, using funds gained from serialized tales of his journey to fund a worldwide crusade against his sworn enemy. He traveled from country to country, and continued to play the superhero role long after SCYTHE was wiped out, eventually becoming a strange, novel mix between celebrity and hero. Having started a family and obtained a remarkable fortune, he continued to ride his fame until his final days, at which point he had a secret to reveal.

Ryuji Raiden has slept around. A lot. Perhaps it wasn’t as big of a surprise as he would like to think, but the point was that he had dozens of children scattered across the globe, each specified an equal portion of his inheritance. They decided to continue the example followed by their father, forming the hero organization SHINING, as well as teaming up to form the iconic Justice Riders, a group of superheroes who use vibrant suits and custom vehicles to keep the peace across the world, documenting (and merchandising) their various fights and adventures along the way. The franchise has been immensely popular for decades, enjoyed all over the world by fans of all ages.

Jill Breicen is one of the newest additions to the legacy, having grown up under a wealthy upbringing in the American south alongside her younger sister. Having been inspired by her father’s own exploits as a Rider, she trained since her youth to be one herself, and she proved extremely popular and charismatic upon her official debut as Justice Rider Blaze.

Though she’s had a good track record so far, she lacks the level of experience one would expect from a true hero, not having quite been put through the wringer yet. The World Fighting Carnival represents a great chance to make up for it: Riders are expected to have some presence at most major events (especially as SHINING tends to contribute to them rather generously), and everyone’s waiting to see how their hero fares on the world stage. She’ll be stepping onto it under the guidance of Justice Rider Sombra, and her sister will be there cheering from the sidelines. Fight on, Justice Rider!

In addition to Jill’s own well-honed fighting instincts as a Nomad, she’s also well-trained in the Justice Rider’s trademark fighting style, featuring dozens of iconic punches, kicks, and grapples that all look great on a poster. She’s also supplemented by the occasional weapon from her arsenal; her bike’s right handle can be detached to reveal a whip, the EX-Coil, while the left handle can be taken off and turned into a sword, the EX-Saber. The bike itself even has weapon configurations of its own. Her ki talents are rather simplistic, mostly revolving around creating barriers out of pure light that she can use to both defend herself as well as create ramps and platforms. Her most powerful weapon, however, is something else entirely.

Enter Jill’s unique “Trailblazer” style and her custom Rider vehicle; Cloud Nine. Weighing 621 pounds and boasting an extremely powerful three-way hybrid engine that can run on gasoline, electricity, and ki, this absolute monster of a vehicle requires a special kind of Nomad to even drive, let alone use in combat. The Trailblazer style revolves around this, using the machine’s ample supplies of mass and velocity to charge forwards and demolish whatever happens to be in her path at the moment, whether that be through elaborate powerslides, jumps, and wheelies, or simply charging towards an opponent at high speeds, using both her ki talents and the bike’s bulk to shrug off attacks and ram them off the road. The EX-Coil is used in conjunction with Jill’s own strength to both grab opponents, and to attach to the bike itself and fling it around like an oversized morning star. She can use her ki powers to create ramps and platforms to bring the bike into the air or even across walls. If she’s feeling particularly impatient, she can even simply grab hold of the handle and swing the vehicle around like an oversized club. Very unrefined as a martial art, but nothing to scoff at when every attack almost literally hits like a truck.

Both styles are further enhanced by a function of her belt, the Blaze Driver, known as the EX-System. Designed to both regulate the user’s ki and draw upon further reserves than what the body is capable of, it can store it in up to six specialized cells, and integrate it into the machinery that powers her suit, bike, and weapons, which can be used to enhance moves with fire or electricity, as well fuel unique special attacks, referred to as EX-Attacks.

Jill either summons Cloud Nine onto the stage or somersaults off of it and sends it away. While it's gone, Pit Stop controls the bike while repairing whatever damage it may have incurred. While she’s on it, the drone patches up any damage to her own equipment.

■ EX-Charge

”I got this…”
Jill turns the key on her belt and revs it, allowing it to convert her ki into EX-Cells, which leaves her open for a moment as she charges power. On her bike, she can simply rev the engine to charge ki.

■ Trailblaze

”Time for some tricks!”
Jill uses her ki to create a hard light object, be that a ramp, a platform, or tracks for Cloud Nine to stick onto, that fades after a few seconds. The EX version of this attack creates a flaming or electrified wall of light emanating from behind her bike that can be used to control space in the playing field for a while… provided that she doesn’t run into it herself.

■ Burning Blue Kick

”RIDER KICK!
A variation of the iconic and powerful leaping kick, Jill leaps into the air from either the ground or her bike and sails downwards towards her opponent with a foot outstretched, rebounding off of them if it hits and landing back on the bike if it was initiated while riding it. The move can be strengthened with EX-Cells to add additional power and elemental effects, up to using all six at once. At its most powerful, the move becomes a spinning dive kick surrounded by a maelstrom of fire and lightning. Things defeated by this move have been known to inexplicably explode afterwards.

■ Justice Break

”Stay off the road!”
Cloud Nine’s engine roars as Jill drives straight towards her opponent, using her ki to form a giant plow that gives her a few hits of super armor while she charges at them. The EX version of the attack is far faster, crossing the stage almost instantly. Only usable while on the bike, for obvious reasons.

■ Cloud PLASMA

”Power shot!”
Jill stops and transforms Cloud Nine into an obnoxiously large cannon that rests on her shoulder. It can either shoot a large fireball or a giant burst of electricity using EX-Cells as ammo; electric shots are fast and travel in a straight line, while fire shots fall over longer distances and explode on contact. Two can be used at once to create an even more damaging plasma shot that busts through projectile shields and countermeasures. All shots are very fast, hit hard, and fire faster than most other projectiles, but drawn back by the ammo count and time taken transforming the bike.

■ Power Slide

”Tricked ya!”
When riding her bike, Jill charges towards her opponent as if using Justice Break before faking out at the last moment by leaning heavily to one side, turning and sweeping at the opponent’s legs with the back wheels before speeding back to her previous position. Power Slide EX engages the vehicle’s thrusters, coating the opponent in flames.

■ Burnout Twist

”Haha, YEAH!”
While riding, Jill spins out and twists the bike in a circle as she moves forwards. The EX version engages the vehicles thrusters, spraying flames in a wide radius. It doesn’t come out as fast as many of her other moves or do as much damage initially, but she can continue to repeat this maneuver more depending on how many EX-Cells she has stored. As she needs to focus on righting her course after the initial spins, she’s left open if she misses.

■ EX-Flare

”I’m powered up!”
A buff move where Jill uses an EX-Cell to coat either a limb or a weapon in flames or electricity, adding some extra power for a short period.

■ Vanquish Buster

”Boom!”
Jill grabs her enemy, taking them into the air before turning them upside down as they fall, smashing them into the ground head-first. The EX version creates a small burst of flame on impact

■ Rolling Thunder

”Rider… PUNCH!”
Jill rears back for a moment before throwing all her might into a punch that will send most foes sprawling. Being heavily telegraphed and without much range, it only becomes truly useful when the EX effects are applied, coating her body in flames and/or electricity that punish any incoming melee attacks while she charges up an elemental punch.

Cloud Nine and its predecessors were intended to combine with similar vehicles from heroes across Jill’s family tree to form a giant mecha for when shit really hits the fan. Though that hasn’t happened for decades, Jill won’t let this go to waste: Charging forwards, she dismounts Nine Cloud as it turns into a giant fist that connects to Jill by sprouting various cords as engines are sent into overdrive, scorching anything behind her in a sea of flame. A sonic boom is created followed by a sickening crunch as she hits the target with a blow meant to take down a kaiju. Though it’s an absolutely devastating attack, the function was obviously never intended to be used on its own this way, and Cloud Nine will need a minute for repairs at the very least before it can be called upon once more. Really not something she uses too often.

■ Burnout Form

”Time to link up!”
Jill strikes a pose and allows Pit Stop to transform and attach itself to her as armor, transforming her into Blaze Burnout. In this form, in addition to a small offensive and defensive buff, she gains access to additional ki storage through integrating Pit Stop with the rest of the system as well as a switch on her arm that allows her to enter a state known as Full Throttle, which charges the EX system automatically at a rapid pace that allows her to keep up a more consistent offensive with her charged attacks. Full throttle can only be held up to a minute, however. If kept up any longer, she’ll burn out, losing her stored EX charges and locking out Full Throttle, setting her back to her usual methods of charging for half a minute. Since Pit Stop is busy with the transformation in this state, he can’t be used to repair the bike or control it remotely.

■ EX-SYSTEM: CONFIGURATION CLASSIFIED

Astute observers note that the EX-System has only ever been used to, at most, two-thirds of its maximum intensity. What it looks like at 100% has never been observed, and any data related to it or its effects on its wielder are a closely guarded secret. Strict orders and multiple layers of locking mechanisms prevent it from being used for the time being.

WEAKNESSES & LIMITS

Jill can deliver some righteous beatdowns, but she needs breathing room to pull it off. EX Attacks can be devastating, but if an attack doesn’t require EX-Cells to function, it’s likely to require it to get the most out of the move or even for it to be useful in the first place. Persistent opponents that can prevent her from charging will practically cripple her. Despite having many attacks that work at range, she can’t take advantage of the safety that range gives her: She’s all about charging in and using that momentum to keep the attacks coming. She also struggles in prolonged conflicts; the EX-System relies on channeling her life energy beyond what her own biological safeguards allow, and if she’s not careful she can end up dangerously low on ki.

In addition, Jill relies heavily on her bike and the equipment and techniques it grants to be truly effective in battle. She has a lot more trouble excelling in battle if she’s ever separated from it.

Voyt casts an unwelcoming figure, quiet, calculating and trim with obvious muscle definition. His exposed arms and face carry faded but still noticeable scarring from battles won and lost. Voyt’s dirty blonde hair hangs down to his neck and is often unkempt as is his beard which is usually shaved down to a shadow but comes off patchy from carrying the odd scarring across Voyt’s jaw.

Despite his standoffish appearance and demeanour however, Voyt’s outfit is quite striking. Consisting of an old west gunslinger inspired get-up complete with a dark brown stetson hat that has a bandolier of bullets wrapped around the base. A tattered dark brown poncho that hangs off the back of Voyt’s left side like a cape, a faded blue shirt with the top two buttons undone and a dark brown and black bandanna wrapped around his neck to be pulled up and used when concealing his identity on the job. He has a protective vest over his shirt and brown thigh and leg guards over a pair of dusty black pants, accompanied of course with two holsters for his revolvers. Completing the ensemble is a pair of black cowboy boots with silver tips and rusty bronze spurs.

Professional: Voyt is all business to an almost robotic degree, speaking almost exclusively in direct and to the point statements. While he can come off prickly and does not suffer fools easily, he never really raises his voice or so much as changes inflection - even when, by his own admission, someone has pissed off. Making him something of an anomaly in regards to the often arrogant, boastful mercenaries and cutthroats with which he shares his profession.

Pragmatic: While his work is abhorrent and he is not terribly pleasant to most people, outside of that there isn’t much particularly villainous about Voyt. He takes effort not to kill or injure anyone he isn’t contracted to nor does he carry much personal feelings into his jobs. A life primarily on the move has given him a keen sense of survival and a flexible set of morals to ensure he stays one step ahead at all times.

BACKSTORY

Subject Thirteen was, for all intents and purposes, a complete success. Several biological scientists and DNA experts exiled from governments and black projects alike had pooled their knowledge together in an effort to create life, namely the perfect soldier. With intents to sell this specimen to the highest bidder or even form their own PMC group via cloning and reclaim their lost status. The scientists had collected the DNA (through questionable means and contacts) of numerous decorated soldiers. One had the idea to also imbue the subject with the DNA of various legends of the Old West, primarily because these were records and small samples that their contacts could supply at a much easier and faster rate than members of the military. After years of delicate trials and twelve failures. They succeeded.

Nicknamed Voyt - the initials of the four head scientists' second names - they set to work in shaping their creation to be well versed in all forms of firearm based combat, which he naturally excelled in. Though perhaps due to the DNA used, their subject showed a particular fascination & fondness for revolvers, lever action rifles, shotguns and other Old West based weaponry. Their creation was unfeasible when attempting to create a fully grown adult, so instead they created an infant, monitoring his hastened life every step of the way to ensure he displayed the aptitude they desired until his ageing slowed when he matured, he excelled past their expectations. They fostered their subject's brutal efficiency with a myriad of drugs, shock reinforcement and live human targets. The closer, it seemed, their dream became, the more unethical their practices would become. Until, one unknown day, their subject snapped and found the will and opportunity to escape. Cutting a bloody swathe through the facility and its guards until he hunted down and killed every last scientist involved in his creation, leaving the four overseers to last. Despite his younger age, Voyt had indeed passed his creator’s desires and was far too much for their security or intellects to stop.

No one is quite sure exactly when the Gunslinger mercenary began operating, but when he started, there were few better. Demonstrating a cold efficiency above even other longtime assassins, Voyt's gun-slinging wizardry was in high demand. Whilst always being extremely proficient with his weaponry, Voyt soon discovered what he found out to be ki, during a contract he had somehow imbued his inner ki into one of his guns, able to fire it endlessly. From that point on Voyt learned all he could about his new skill, apparently it flowed through all living things and having the DNA of some of the most prolific killers gave Voyt a very good grasp of it. At present Voyt has enough of a handle on ki to which he can stand against other martial artists, monsters, supernatural beings and all manner of things alien to regular people using only his guns and guile, which he does with alarming efficiency. Voyt very quickly raised his prices.

Since then his contracts have gotten higher and higher in scope, along with his profile. Voyt is a known entity due in part to his efficient reputation and the few times he has encountered Justice Rider Blaze - becoming a fan favourite villain, much to his displeasure. Naturally, a growing amount of attention is not the best thing for what is essentially an assassin, meaning Voyt has had to be more selective with his contracts, his current one being the first to offer an especially noteworthy amount of money in an easy to hide location,

Voyt is, as you might guess, a gunman. Theoretically he can efficiently use almost any ranged weapon put in his hands or in a pinch turn ordinary items into lethal weaponry - if it can be thrown, Voyt is dangerous with it. His most comfortable method of ranged warfare however are his pair of heavily customised black powder single action army revolvers. Imbued with his ki, these guns can fire an endless stream of bullets at the - often very durable - nomads Voyt regularly faces. Voyt is also fast, very very fast. Quick on the draw and quick on the feet, if you want to return fire or get up close and personal with Voyt it’s going to take some effort. While his ki heavily expands his incredible aim and speed, he utilises them for all manner of impossible or impractical techniques like ricochets and trick shots. Finishing out his kit are sticks of dynamite wrapped around his waist for those times you want to blow something up and a sawed off shotgun which fires shrapnel that lodges itself in a nomad’s skin since ordinary slugs won’t quite penetrate it.

Although no martial artist Voyt can fight close quarters if the need arises, but would preferably have his guns or any ranged weaponry in his hands to strike with or for explosive finishes to his combos. As an experienced hitman, Voyt can analyse an opponents styles and strategies the longer a fight goes on, it’s no scanning that the Oh series robots are capable of but assuming Voyt survives long enough and the opponent has any, Voyt will find their weak spots.

■ Double Down

Voyt stuns the opponent, slamming the butt of his revolver into their neck before sweeping their legs out from under them. He pins the opponent down with his boot on their chest before unloading both revolvers near twenty times into their face.

■ Two-Step Goodbye

Voyt pirouettes while firing, sending a tornado of bullets in all directions to deal with more mobile foes or those who can teleport around. Voyt can perform an airborne variant which involves Voyt spinning down headfirst to the floor while firing his guns and landing in a roll at the last second.

■ Blow 'Er Up

Voyt tosses a stick of dynamite into the hands of an opponent and quickly shoots it, the resulting explosion sending an opponent flying into the air. (The explosion sends Voyt's hat flying off which he grabs out the air and places back on as the opponent comes to their senses)

■ Money Shot

Voyt throws a coin into the air past the opponent and fires it causing the bullet to ricochet off and hit the opponent in the back, breaking possible guards and sending them tumbling slightly forward for a possible follow up attack.

■ Showdown

Voyt enters a quick-draw stance and parries any projectiles thrown his way by shooting them out of the air, this stance ends when Voyt starts to move again.

■ Deadman's Hands

Voyt imbues his ki into his weapons (typically his revolvers), for red kinetic charged shots but he can imbue any thrown object with the same damaging kinetic energy, enhancing his shots for increased damage and knockback but slower rate of fire.

■ High Roller

If an opponent has gotten too close for comfort, Voyt can potentially parry their attack by hitting them with a cheap shot and leaping into the air, leaving behind a lit stick of dynamite for his opponent, he reappears a couple seconds later, rolling back to the floor but can use Two-Step Goodbye on the way down to deliver a volley of gunfire from above.

■ Cash Out

Voyt unloads a barrage of gunfire from his shotgun while slowly walking his target down. While it's effective against nomads it can quickly shatter cover and walls as well as having a wide spread. Naturally damage falls off the further a target is. Voyt also has to actually reload his shotgun to use this move again.

■ Roulette Rush

Forgoing his typical style, Voyt rushes an opponent and delivers a savage dropkick to the chest, launching himself into the air with a back-flip. He is able to use Two-Step Goodbye when falling back to the ground.

■ Payline

Voyt seemingly fires a single shot before holstering his weapon again, if it connects the opponent will recoil slightly before suddenly being shot several times in the chest as though being hit by an assault rifle. Voyt tips his hat as they fall to the ground or are knocked several feet backwards.

■ Ace High

Voyt rolls a stick of dynamite under his opponent and shoots at it, sending them upwards into the air where he can unload on them with further gunfire before letting them fall back to the floor.

Voyt’s incredible movement and reaction speeds go into overdrive, for as long as he can physically keep it up, time slows to a complete crawl around Voyt while he moves at roughly the same speeds, in this state he can use any of his regular moves and is all but untouchable as he nonchalantly dodges every move thrown at him unless he is being extraordinarily careless or somehow trapped.

■ Happiness Is A Warm Gun

Voyt grabs the cylinder of one revolver and spins it to dangerous speeds, he begins to fan the hammer with his hand becoming a blur, turning one revolver into a fully charged gatling gun. The red charged shots fly out in a wide spread and are able to tear through buildings and people alike. Voyt being damaged can knock him out of this move early

■ One Bullet

Voyt’s eyes burn red as he holsters one gun and fires the other. A dramatic zoom on the bullet reveals the name of his opponent slowly burning into the side as the bullet wreaths itself in a large red and white flame. The bolt of energy will blast clean through anything it touches and follows where Voyt wills it to go for several moments as Voyt is able, once Voyt loses the will to control it further, it will travel for several more feet in whatever direction it was facing before burning out, still ripping right through all in its path.

WEAKNESSES & LIMITS

Voyt’s a competent brawler and his strikes are enough to deal with rank and file attackers but they are ill advised against nomads. Further, while Voyt’s speed and damage output are incredibly high, if he is without a gun or even anything he can throw, his options in a fight become severely limited. Lastly, Voyt can withstand greater amounts of punishment than the average combatant but he is no powerhouse and relies on dodging rather than tanking blows more than most characters.

In spite of himself, he can never say no to pub games; anything from darts to pool to "shut-the-box" (but god help you, if you cheat...)

Once upon a time, there was a stoic and diligent Dullahan. He knew the pathways between worlds, even to the afterlife! His task in existence was to travel where the Banshee's cried, and witness the dying of mortals. By doing so, he could direct the dead where they needed to go. He never questioned it, or wanted anything more- he was a Dullahan; this was his purpose, and he was content.

One night, when the moon was full, he was relaxing in a field, when he was caught by surprise! A witch had cast spells upon him, and took ownership of his head, binding him to serve her, and her family, until they should choose to return it.

The witch named him "Cavan", and that was the beginning of his life in proverbial chains...

He was compelled to obey, serving them as though he were a knight in service to their house. He watched generations come and go, and he hated every last one of them.

When you're immortal(or don't have to sleep, for that matter), you find yourself with a lot of time to just... Watch the world go by, which is precisely what Cavan did. So, the modern world doesn't confuse or frustrate him, just his inability to freely engage with it. Often, he'd go long stretches of time just... standing in one spot, until he's summoned. Sometimes his captors would allow the illusion of freedom, so long as he didn't get himself into any trouble they hadn't sanctioned, personally.

This latest master had been ordering him about since the brat was 13. He honed his combat skills across multiple titles, but this latest master was especially fond of starting fights for Cavan to finish. Since there was money to be made in just... Taking things, and he got a sick thrill out of making Cavan hurt people, it was no surprise when he found himself a tool of the League of Bounty Hunters. Of course, the master wouldn't join the tournament himself, but he wanted a Stone of Power to further his position within the League. So, Cavan was "volun-told" to enter on his behalf. He'd heard tales of the Stones, and his own aim was clear:

Once he got hold of that stone, he hoped to attain the power to defy his master. He'd force the whelp to return his head and release him from his servitude. Then, he'd have his vengeance against him, and his whole family for what they'd done to him...

He’s effective at fisticuffs, and is a fearsome street fighter.

He doesn’t have any advantage against ranged attacks, and Ki has proven to be an equalizer against his magic fueled power. He often hesitates, and even holds back if he finds he sympathizes with an opponent or target. As a creature of The Fae, he's very proud, and easily provoked. Another fearie trait is that he can be compelled to answer any question truthfully, if the question is asked 3 consecutive times (He appreciates that most mortals have forgotten about this).

”Cavan” didn’t really come into being until a Dullahan was tricked. An old witch took possession of his head, and bound him to serve her family until they were satisfied, and returned his head to him. This has yet to pass, and he’s watched several generations come and go. He does his duty, and jealously defends his captors, but captors is what they are, and he hates them for it. This latest master, in particular, has thrown his lot in with the bounty hunters, and uses him as a proxy, in battle. The current goal, assigned him? Bring his master the Stone of Power. His hope is that perhaps taking hold of the stone will empower him to defy his master, at which point he’ll begin a campaign of brutal vengeance against those who chained him, and anyone foolish enough to get in his way.

Cavan is a Dullahan; one of the headless riders of Irish folklore. In this current age, though his body is still armored, he also wears a leather jacket. In battle, ghostly blue flames swirl and surge from between his joints, and atop his shoulders where a head should be. He keeps/wears a helm with eyes and a mouth cut like a jack ‘o lantern on the front, in place of a proper head. He carries a shield, and a lance instead of a sword, or the traditional “spine whip” his kind are known for.

BACKSTORY

”Cavan” didn’t really come into being until a Dullahan was tricked. An old witch took possession of his head, and bound him to serve her family until they were satisfied, and returned his head to him. This has yet to pass, and he’s watched several generations come and go. He does his duty, and jealously defends his captors, but captors is what they are, and he hates them for it. This latest master, in particular, has thrown his lot in with the bounty hunters, and uses him as a proxy, in battle. The current goal, assigned him? Bring his master the Stone of Power. His hope is that perhaps taking hold of the stone will empower him to defy his master, at which point he’ll begin a campaign of brutal vengeance against those who chained him, and anyone foolish enough to get in his way.

Cavan is a jouster, his strongest combat form being the use of polearms. The lance is his specialty, which he’s also managed to develop into his own weapons form without the need of being on a mount! He also carries a shield, useful for defense, whether he’s swinging into a slow, but heavy attack, or pushing a series of faster strikes. Hands down, his strongest method is using the shield itself to knock and opponent off balance, enabling him to make more devastating blows. He’s not helpless without his weapons, however. He’s effective at fisticuffs, and is a fearsome street fighter.

Jill’s looks are, in a nutshell, perfectly maintained. The figure of a model, not a blonde hair out of place, and not the slightest blemish on her face. She has clear blue eyes, and might initially give off the impression of naivete, but she has a constant controlled energy about her, always looking out for a new source of adrenaline. She tends towards flashy yet marketable cowgirl outfits, with designer jeans, big high boots, white stetson hat, and a brown leather jacket that she keeps slung over her shoulder in the hot Brazil climate when she’s not riding her bike, revealing a simple yet functional white tank top.

In battle, she dons a shiny, tricked-out belt to henshin and become Justice Rider Blaze, sporting a beautiful silver, white and blue chestpiece, gauntlets, and greaves on top of a dark spandex-like substance designed to aid in ki flow. The armor bears a resemblance to motorcycle gear, with hints of underlying exhaust and machinery. The most prominent piece of the suit is the long, flowing, light blue scarf, the size of which puts any lesser superhero to shame.

She’s accompanied by a small floating drone designated P1T-5T0P (nicknamed Pit Stop), that fits into her bike and serves as her cameraman, as well as a repair crew during combat when she’s too occupied to do so herself.

There is much that could be said about the Justice Riders, though they are so well-known that there is little need for introduction. Though they were formed as SHINING’s flagship franchise, their origins could not be properly conveyed without examining the family’s patriarch.

Many, many years ago, in 19XX, a clandestine terrorist organization known as SCYTHE silently wreaked havoc across the world, aiming to conquer it via forced modification of mankind by means of cybernetics, mutation, and the occult. A would-be hero, Ryuji Raiden, stood against them, using his own modifications made from SCYTHE’s very own technology against them.

As his quest and a sudden whirlwind romance took him across Japan, word began to spread of his exploits and legendary charisma. He was quick to capitalize on this, using funds gained from serialized tales of his journey to fund a worldwide crusade against his sworn enemy. He traveled from country to country, and continued to play the superhero role long after SCYTHE was wiped out, eventually becoming a strange, novel mix between celebrity and hero. Having started a family and obtained a remarkable fortune, he continued to ride his fame until his final days, at which point he had a secret to reveal.

Ryuji Raiden has slept around. A lot. Perhaps it wasn’t as big of a surprise as he would like to think, but the point was that he had dozens of children scattered across the globe, each specified an equal portion of his inheritance. They decided to continue the example followed by their father, forming the hero organization SHINING, as well as teaming up to form the iconic Justice Riders, a group of superheroes who use vibrant suits and custom vehicles to keep the peace across the world, documenting (and merchandising) their various fights and adventures along the way. The franchise has been immensely popular for decades, enjoyed all over the world by fans of all ages.

Jill Breicen is one of the newest additions to the legacy, having grown up under a wealthy upbringing in the American south alongside her younger sister. Having been inspired by her father’s own exploits as a Rider, she trained since her youth to be one herself, and she proved extremely popular and charismatic upon her official debut as Justice Rider Blaze.

Though she’s had a good track record so far, she lacks the level of experience one would expect from a true hero, not having quite been put through the wringer yet. The World Fighting Carnival represents a great chance to make up for it: Riders are expected to have some presence at most major events (especially as SHINING tends to contribute to them rather generously), and everyone’s waiting to see how their hero fares on the world stage. She’ll be stepping onto it under the guidance of Justice Rider Sombra, and her sister will be there cheering from the sidelines. Fight on, Justice Rider!

In addition to Jill’s own well-honed fighting instincts as a Nomad, she’s also well-trained in the Justice Rider’s trademark fighting style, featuring dozens of iconic punches, kicks, and grapples that all look great on a poster. She’s also supplemented by the occasional weapon from her arsenal; her bike’s right handle can be detached to reveal a whip, the EX-Coil, while the left handle can be taken off and turned into a sword, the EX-Saber. The bike itself even has weapon configurations of its own. Her ki talents are rather simplistic, mostly revolving around creating barriers out of pure light that she can use to both defend herself as well as create ramps and platforms. Her most powerful weapon, however, is something else entirely.

Enter Jill’s unique “Trailblazer” style and her custom Rider vehicle; Cloud Nine. Weighing 621 pounds and boasting an extremely powerful three-way hybrid engine that can run on gasoline, electricity, and ki, this absolute monster of a vehicle requires a special kind of Nomad to even drive, let alone use in combat. The Trailblazer style revolves around this, using the machine’s ample supplies of mass and velocity to charge forwards and demolish whatever happens to be in her path at the moment, whether that be through elaborate powerslides, jumps, and wheelies, or simply charging towards an opponent at high speeds, using both her ki talents and the bike’s bulk to shrug off attacks and ram them off the road. The EX-Coil is used in conjunction with Jill’s own strength to both grab opponents, and to attach to the bike itself and fling it around like an oversized morning star. She can use her ki powers to create ramps and platforms to bring the bike into the air or even across walls. If she’s feeling particularly impatient, she can even simply grab hold of the handle and swing the vehicle around like an oversized club. Very unrefined as a martial art, but nothing to scoff at when every attack almost literally hits like a truck.

Both styles are further enhanced by a function of her belt, the Blaze Driver, known as the EX-System. Designed to both regulate the user’s ki and draw upon further reserves than what the body is capable of, it can store it in up to six specialized cells, and integrate it into the machinery that powers her suit, bike, and weapons, which can be used to enhance moves with fire or electricity, as well fuel unique special attacks, referred to as EX-Attacks.

■ EX-Charge

Jill turns the key on her belt and revs it, allowing it to convert her ki into EX-Cells, which leaves her open for a moment as she charges power. On her bike, she can simply rev the engine to charge ki.

■ Trailblaze

”Time for some tricks!”
Jill uses her ki to create a hard light object, be that a ramp, a platform, or tracks for Cloud Nine to stick onto, that fades after a few seconds. The EX version of this attack creates a flaming or electrified wall of light emanating from behind her bike that can be used to control space in the playing field for a while… provided that she doesn’t run into it herself.

■ Burning Blue Kick

”RIDER KICK!
A variation of the iconic and powerful leaping kick, Jill leaps into the air from either the ground or her bike and sails downwards towards her opponent with a foot outstretched, rebounding off of them if it hits and landing back on the bike if it was initiated while riding it. The move can be strengthened with EX-Cells to add additional power and elemental effects, up to using all six at once. At its most powerful, the move becomes a spinning dive kick surrounded by a maelstrom of fire and lightning. Things defeated by this move have been known to inexplicably explode afterwards.

■ Justice Break

”Stay off the road!”
Cloud Nine’s engine roars as Jill drives straight towards her opponent, using her ki to form a giant plow that gives her a few hits of super armor while she charges at them. The EX version of the attack is far faster, crossing the stage almost instantly. Only usable while on the bike, for obvious reasons.

■ Cloud PLASMA

”Power shot!”
Jill stops and transforms Cloud Nine into an obnoxiously large cannon that rests on her shoulder. It can either shoot a large fireball or a giant burst of electricity using EX-Cells as ammo; electric shots are fast and travel in a straight line, while fire shots fall over longer distances and explode on contact. Two can be used at once to create an even more damaging plasma shot that busts through projectile shields and countermeasures. All shots are very fast, hit hard, and fire faster than most other projectiles, but drawn back by the ammo count and time taken transforming the bike.

■ Power Slide

”Tricked ya!”
When riding her bike, Jill charges towards her opponent as if using Justice Break before faking out at the last moment by leaning heavily to one side, turning and sweeping at the opponent’s legs with the back wheels before speeding back to her previous position. Power Slide EX engages the vehicle’s thrusters, coating the opponent in flames.

■ Burnout Twist

”Haha, YEAH!”
While riding, Jill spins out and twists the bike in a circle as she moves forwards. The EX version engages the vehicles thrusters, spraying flames in a wide radius. It doesn’t come out as fast as many of her other moves or do as much damage initially, but she can continue to repeat this maneuver more depending on how many EX-Cells she has stored. As she needs to focus on righting her course after the initial spins, she’s left open if she misses.

■ EX-Flare

”I’m powered up!”
A buff move where Jill uses an EX-Cell to coat either a limb or a weapon in flames or electricity, adding some extra power for a short period.

■ Vanquish Buster

”Boom!”
Jill grabs her enemy, taking them into the air before turning them upside down as they fall, smashing them into the ground head-first. The EX version creates a small burst of flame on impact

■ Rolling Thunder

”Rider… PUNCH!”
Jill rears back for a moment before throwing all her might into a punch that will send most foes sprawling. Being heavily telegraphed and without much range, it only becomes truly useful when the EX effects are applied, coating her body in flames and/or electricity that punish any incoming melee attacks while she charges up an elemental punch.

Cloud Nine and its predecessors were intended to combine with similar vehicles from heroes across Jill’s family tree to form a giant mecha for when shit really hits the fan. Though that hasn’t happened for decades, Jill won’t let this go to waste: Charging forwards, she dismounts Nine Cloud as it turns into a giant fist that connects to Jill by sprouting various cords as engines are sent into overdrive, scorching anything behind her in a sea of flame. A sonic boom is created followed by a sickening crunch as she hits the target with a blow meant to take down a kaiju. Though it’s an absolutely devastating attack, the function was obviously never intended to be used on its own this way, and Cloud Nine will need a minute for repairs at the very least before it can be called upon once more. Really not something she uses too often.

■ Burnout Form

”Time to link up!”
Jill strikes a pose and allows Pit Stop to transform and attach itself to her as armor, transforming her into Blaze Burnout. In this form, in addition to a small offensive and defensive buff, she gains access to additional ki storage through integrating Pit Stop with the rest of the system as well as a switch on her arm that allows her to enter a state known as Full Throttle, which charges the EX system automatically at a rapid pace that allows her to keep up a more consistent offensive with her charged attacks. Full throttle can only be held up to a minute, however. If kept up any longer, she’ll burn out, losing her stored EX charges and locking out Full Throttle, setting her back to her usual methods of charging for half a minute. Since Pit Stop is busy with the transformation in this state, he can’t be used to repair the bike or control it remotely.

■ EX-SYSTEM: CONFIGURATION CLASSIFIED

Astute observers note that the EX-System has only ever been used to, at most, two-thirds of its maximum intensity. What it looks like at 100% has never been observed, and any data related to it or its effects on its wielder are a closely guarded secret. Strict orders and multiple layers of locking mechanisms prevent it from being used for the time being.

Persistent opponents that can prevent her from charging will practically cripple her. Despite having many attacks that work at range, she can’t take advantage of the safety that range gives her: She’s all about charging in and using that momentum to keep the attacks coming. She also struggles in prolonged conflicts; the EX-System relies on channeling her life energy beyond what her own biological safeguards allow, and if she’s not careful she can end up dangerously low on ki.

In addition, Jill relies heavily on her bike and the equipment and techniques it grants to be truly effective in battle. She has a lot more trouble excelling in battle if she’s ever separated from it.

Voyt casts an unwelcoming figure, quiet, calculating and trim with obvious muscle definition. His exposed arms and face carry faded but still noticeable scarring from battles won and lost. Voyt’s dirty blonde hair hangs down to his neck and is often unkempt as is his beard which is usually shaved down to a shadow but comes off patchy from carrying the odd scarring across Voyt’s jaw.

Despite his standoffish appearance and demeanour however, Voyt’s outfit is quite striking. Consisting of an old west gunslinger inspired get-up complete with a dark brown stetson hat that has a bandolier of bullets wrapped around the base. A tattered dark brown poncho that hangs off the back of Voyt’s left side like a cape, a faded blue shirt with the top two buttons undone and a dark brown and black bandanna wrapped around his neck to be pulled up and used when concealing his identity on the job. He has a protective vest over his shirt and brown thigh and leg guards over a pair of dusty black pants, accompanied of course with two holsters for his revolvers. Completing the ensemble is a pair of black cowboy boots with silver tips and rusty bronze spurs.

Professional: Voyt is all business to an almost robotic degree, speaking almost exclusively in direct and to the point statements. While he can come off prickly and does not suffer fools easily, he never really raises his voice or so much as changes inflection - even when, by his own admission, someone has pissed off. Making him something of an anomaly in regards to the often arrogant, boastful mercenaries and cutthroats with which he shares his profession.

Pragmatic: While his work is abhorrent and he is not terribly pleasant to most people, outside of that there isn’t much particularly villainous about Voyt. He takes effort not to kill or injure anyone he isn’t contracted to nor does he carry much personal feelings into his jobs. A life primarily on the move has given him a keen sense of survival and a flexible set of morals to ensure he stays one step ahead at all times.

BACKSTORY

Subject Thirteen was, for all intents and purposes, a complete success. Several biological scientists and DNA experts exiled from governments and black projects alike had pooled their knowledge together in an effort to create life, namely the perfect soldier. With intents to sell this specimen to the highest bidder or even form their own PMC group via cloning and reclaim their lost status. The scientists had collected the DNA (through questionable means and contacts) of numerous decorated soldiers. One had the idea to also imbue the subject with the DNA of various legends of the Old West, primarily because these were records and small samples that their contacts could supply at a much easier and faster rate than members of the military. After years of delicate trials and twelve failures. They succeeded.

Nicknamed Voyt - the initials of the four head scientists' second names - they set to work in shaping their creation to be well versed in all forms of firearm based combat, which he naturally excelled in. Though perhaps due to the DNA used, their subject showed a particular fascination & fondness for revolvers, lever action rifles, shotguns and other Old West based weaponry. Their creation was unfeasible when attempting to create a fully grown adult, so instead they created an infant, monitoring his hastened life every step of the way to ensure he displayed the aptitude they desired until his ageing slowed when he matured, he excelled past their expectations. They fostered their subject's brutal efficiency with a myriad of drugs, shock reinforcement and live human targets. The closer, it seemed, their dream became, the more unethical their practices would become. Until, one unknown day, their subject snapped and found the will and opportunity to escape. Cutting a bloody swathe through the facility and its guards until he hunted down and killed every last scientist involved in his creation, leaving the four overseers to last. Despite his younger age, Voyt had indeed passed his creator’s desires and was far too much for their security or intellects to stop.

No one is quite sure exactly when the Gunslinger mercenary began operating, but when he started, there were few better. Demonstrating a cold efficiency above even other longtime assassins, Voyt's gun-slinging wizardry was in high demand. Whilst always being extremely proficient with his weaponry, Voyt soon discovered what he found out to be ki, during a contract he had somehow imbued his inner ki into one of his guns, able to fire it endlessly. From that point on Voyt learned all he could about his new skill, apparently it flowed through all living things and having the DNA of some of the most prolific killers gave Voyt a very good grasp of it. At present Voyt has enough of a handle on ki to which he can stand against other martial artists, monsters, supernatural beings and all manner of things alien to regular people using only his guns and guile, which he does with alarming efficiency. Voyt very quickly raised his prices.

Since then his contracts have gotten higher and higher in scope, along with his profile. Voyt is a known entity due in part to his efficient reputation and the few times he has encountered Justice Rider Blaze - becoming a fan favourite villain, much to his displeasure. Naturally, a growing amount of attention is not the best thing for what is essentially an assassin, meaning Voyt has had to be more selective with his contracts, his current one being the first to offer an especially noteworthy amount of money in an easy to hide location,

Voyt is, as you might guess, a gunman. Theoretically he can efficiently use almost any ranged weapon put in his hands or in a pinch turn ordinary items into lethal weaponry - if it can be thrown, Voyt is dangerous with it. His most comfortable method of ranged warfare however are his pair of heavily customised black powder single action army revolvers. Imbued with his ki, these guns can fire an endless stream of bullets at the - often very durable - nomads Voyt regularly faces. Voyt is also fast, very very fast. Quick on the draw and quick on the feet, if you want to return fire or get up close and personal with Voyt it’s going to take some effort. While his ki heavily expands his incredible aim and speed, he utilises them for all manner of impossible or impractical techniques like ricochets and trick shots. Finishing out his kit are sticks of dynamite wrapped around his waist for those times you want to blow something up and a sawed off shotgun which fires shrapnel that lodges itself in a nomad’s skin since ordinary slugs won’t quite penetrate it.

Although no martial artist Voyt can fight close quarters if the need arises, but would preferably have his guns or any ranged weaponry in his hands to strike with or for explosive finishes to his combos. As an experienced hitman, Voyt can analyse an opponents styles and strategies the longer a fight goes on, it’s no scanning that the Oh series robots are capable of but assuming Voyt survives long enough and the opponent has any, Voyt will find their weak spots.

SIGNATURE MOVES

■ Double Down

Voyt stuns the opponent, slamming the butt of his revolver into their neck before sweeping their legs out from under them. He pins the opponent down with his boot on their chest before unloading both revolvers near twenty times into their face.

■ Two-Step Goodbye

Voyt pirouettes while firing, sending a tornado of bullets in all directions to deal with more mobile foes or those who can teleport around. Voyt can perform an airborne variant which involves Voyt spinning down headfirst to the floor while firing his guns and landing in a roll at the last second.

■ Blow 'Er Up

Voyt tosses a stick of dynamite into the hands of an opponent and quickly shoots it, the resulting explosion sending an opponent flying into the air. (The explosion sends Voyt's hat flying off which he grabs out the air and places back on as the opponent comes to their senses)

■ Money Shot

Voyt throws a coin into the air past the opponent and fires it causing the bullet to ricochet off and hit the opponent in the back, breaking possible guards and sending them tumbling slightly forward for a possible follow up attack.

■ Showdown

Voyt enters a quick-draw stance and parries any projectiles thrown his way by shooting them out of the air, this stance ends when Voyt starts to move again.

■ Deadman's Hands

Voyt imbues his ki into his weapons (typically his revolvers), for red kinetic charged shots but he can imbue any thrown object with the same damaging kinetic energy, enhancing his shots for increased damage and knockback but slower rate of fire.

■ High Roller

If an opponent has gotten too close for comfort, Voyt can potentially parry their attack by hitting them with a cheap shot and leaping into the air, leaving behind a lit stick of dynamite for his opponent, he reappears a couple seconds later, rolling back to the floor but can use Two-Step Goodbye on the way down to deliver a volley of gunfire from above.

■ Cash Out

Voyt unloads a barrage of gunfire from his shotgun while slowly walking his target down. While it's effective against nomads it can quickly shatter cover and walls as well as having a wide spread. Naturally damage falls off the further a target is. Voyt also has to actually reload his shotgun to use this move again.

■ Roulette Rush

Forgoing his typical style, Voyt rushes an opponent and delivers a savage dropkick to the chest, launching himself into the air with a back-flip. He is able to use Two-Step Goodbye when falling back to the ground.

■ Payline

Voyt seemingly fires a single shot before holstering his weapon again, if it connects the opponent will recoil slightly before suddenly being shot several times in the chest as though being hit by an assault rifle. Voyt tips his hat as they fall to the ground or are knocked several feet backwards.

■ Ace High

Voyt rolls a stick of dynamite under his opponent and shoots at it, sending them upwards into the air where he can unload on them with further gunfire before letting them fall back to the floor.

SUPER MOVES

Voyt’s incredible movement and reaction speeds go into overdrive, for as long as he can physically keep it up, time slows to a complete crawl around Voyt while he moves at roughly the same speeds, in this state he can use any of his regular moves and is all but untouchable as he nonchalantly dodges every move thrown at him unless he is being extraordinarily careless or somehow trapped.

■ Happiness Is A Warm Gun

Voyt grabs the cylinder of one revolver and spins it to dangerous speeds, he begins to fan the hammer with his hand becoming a blur, turning one revolver into a fully charged gatling gun. The red charged shots fly out in a wide spread and are able to tear through buildings and people alike. Voyt being damaged can knock him out of this move early

■ One Bullet

Voyt’s eyes burn red as he holsters one gun and fires the other. A dramatic zoom on the bullet reveals the name of his opponent slowly burning into the side as the bullet wreaths itself in a large red and white flame. The bolt of energy will blast clean through anything it touches and follows where Voyt wills it to go for several moments as Voyt is able, once Voyt loses the will to control it further, it will travel for several more feet in whatever direction it was facing before burning out, still ripping right through all in its path.

WEAKNESSES & LIMITS

Voyt’s a competent brawler and his strikes are enough to deal with rank and file attackers but they are ill advised against nomads. Further, while Voyt’s speed and damage output are incredibly high, if he is without a gun or even anything he can throw, his options in a fight become severely limited. Lastly, Voyt can withstand greater amounts of punishment than the average combatant but he is no powerhouse and relies on dodging rather than tanking blows more than most characters.

Cavan is a Dullahan; one of the headless riders of Irish folklore. In this current age, though his body is still armored, he also wears a leather jacket. In battle, ghostly blue flames swirl and surge from between his joints, and atop his shoulders where a head should be. He keeps/wears a helm with eyes and a mouth cut like a jack ‘o lantern on the front, in place of a proper head. He carries a shield, and a lance instead of a sword, or the traditional “spine whip” his kind are known for.

In spite of himself, he can never say no to pub games; anything from darts to pool to "shut-the-box" (but god help you, if you cheat...)

Once upon a time, there was a stoic and diligent Dullahan. He knew the pathways between worlds, even to the afterlife! His task in existence was to travel where the Banshee's cried, and witness the dying of mortals. By doing so, he could direct the dead where they needed to go. He never questioned it, or wanted anything more- he was a Dullahan; this was his purpose, and he was content.

One night, when the moon was full, he was relaxing in a field, when he was caught by surprise! A witch had cast spells upon him, and took ownership of his head, binding him to serve her, and her family, until they should choose to return it.

The witch named him "Cavan", and that was the beginning of his life in proverbial chains...

He was compelled to obey, serving them as though he were a knight in service to their house. He watched generations come and go, and he hated every last one of them.

When you're immortal(or don't have to sleep, for that matter), you find yourself with a lot of time to just... Watch the world go by, which is precisely what Cavan did. So, the modern world doesn't confuse or frustrate him, just his inability to freely engage with it. Often, he'd go long stretches of time just... standing in one spot, until he's summoned. Sometimes his captors would allow the illusion of freedom, so long as he didn't get himself into any trouble they hadn't sanctioned, personally.

This latest master had been ordering him about since the brat was 13. He honed his combat skills across multiple titles, but this latest master was especially fond of starting fights for Cavan to finish. Since there was money to be made in just... Taking things, and he got a sick thrill out of making Cavan hurt people, it was no surprise when he found himself a tool of the League of Bounty Hunters. Of course, the master wouldn't join the tournament himself, but he wanted a Stone of Power to further his position within the League. So, Cavan was "volun-told" to enter on his behalf. He'd heard tales of the Stones, and his own aim was clear:

Once he got hold of that stone, he hoped to attain the power to defy his master. He'd force the whelp to return his head and release him from his servitude. Then, he'd have his vengeance against him, and his whole family for what they'd done to him...

Cavan is a jouster, his strongest combat form being the use of polearms. The lance is his specialty, which he’s also managed to develop into his own weapons form without the need of being on a mount! He also carries a shield, useful for defense, whether he’s swinging into a slow, but heavy attack, or pushing a series of faster strikes. Hands down, his strongest method is using the shield itself to knock and opponent off balance, enabling him to make more devastating blows. He’s not helpless without his weapons, however. He’s effective at fisticuffs, and is a fearsome street fighter.

He doesn’t have any advantage against ranged attacks, and Ki has proven to be an equalizer against his magic fueled power. He often hesitates, and even holds back if he finds he sympathizes with an opponent or target. As a creature of The Fae, he's very proud, and easily provoked. Another fearie trait is that he can be compelled to answer any question truthfully, if the question is asked 3 consecutive times (He appreciates that most mortals have forgotten about this).
