@Mokley Also, should there be a general warning about the surface? Maybe something like 'whoever goes down there has never come back' sort of thing that all citizens are aware of? Because I doubt there's an easy way to fly all the way back with just a glider, or even a modified one that has a booster or something.

Aaaalso, that gives me an idea; perhaps, there are royal guards that are posted all around the borders of Heron and nested in look-out towers to try and find anyone who might fall off and then go ahead and save them. Like an elite rescue team.

Awesome idea! Yeah, it's easy to get down but near impossible to get back up without a hell of a lot of effort from people on the island, assuming they know you're down there. There might be some kind of signal towers on the ground maybe? Also there's the Weatherman and his balloon -- and balloons in general.

If you just ask around and put out some facts about your char then people can generally start formulating what potential or existing relationships there are between your character and others.

It is so extremely possible to be actually true, that if Sera made up a really, really, really weird and fantastic tale about some of her arifacts she has found, Blin might buy it will stick around to hear the tale.

The only thing I can think of with Blin, is that Aurora sometimes trains with Gaius (and Braum as well) and Blin possibliy has seen her (and Braum as well) when gaius regales Blin with some very very tall true tales. I think this would count as Blank as well?

One thing I can say, Sera might know Forrest rather well, due to them both being orphans, although he is quite a lot older than her, so I imagine Forrest taught her a few survival skills and so on. How 'bout it, @Aquaknight?

For Tivo, I can see her meeting him on one of her scavenger hunts once in a while. @Ebonsquire

Maybe Rahna for the herbs and medicine, or better Rahna's mother and by association Rahna. @Rekaigan

Maybe you should create a skeleton of a setting for us. Are there ruins around Heron? What's the layout of the town itself??

A crudely drawn map (in paint or something) could be helpful, but just a general description is nice.

Actually, I'm seeing Heron in general as resembling something like Skyloft in Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, but bigger, spread out, and more islands of size, with the main island being a good bit larger than the main Skyloft island. Certainly you need enough land to farm and raise food for all the citizens. And instead of birds, we have gliders!

Honestly, I don't think we need a map, at least not more than a general "this area is in this general direction from that one". We may not need one at all in the sky, just for when we go down below the clouds. I don't like maps to get too specific unless there's a good reason and a solid plan, because it limits what you can stick in when it's needed.

Let Blin make your maps, you'll get castles and battlefields a plenty on them, though the proportions maybe just a little bit out. including that dragons lair and wizards tower....and the tunnel system deep within the island....the fairy forest...the lost tribe....
