I've just realized that in all the 9 years I've been part of this site, I've never had to change my name, make an alt account or anything like that!

"Humanity takes great pride in three things. Their willpower, their greed and their mortality.

Their will and endless greed allows them to grow and ascend past other creatures
But their mortality denies them divinity

It's a delightful purgatory between being Fallen and being Divine"

Freyr

"N-No wolf howls like that...who's there? P-Please, we just want to hunt the wolf and help the town...no need to fight." Freyr heard Magnus saying, tightening his grip on the big axe on his hands.

Differently from Magnus, Freyr was holding his bow in a crouched stance. Not even his respiration produced any sounds, his hands were firm and steady, only waiting for the moment to shoot. He didn't knew if they were being hunted, or if it was only a joke someone was playing with them, but he wouldn't lower his guard. The forest where he came wasn't kind with whoever lived there. He was hunted not only by the dangerous creatures there, but if a female Viera ever saw him trespassing on their territory, he would be killed on sight...

After a few seconds, a big wolf jumped out of the bush, albeit in a rather odd manner.
Without even thinking twice, he immediately shot an arrow through the wolf, but the sound it made when it hit it was... strange...
Looking at it a little better, he would quickly realize that it was nothing but a decoy, and not a real wolf.

It was pretty ironic, the one who said for him to fight like a man was hiding behind such ridiculous tricks.
But he wouldn't drop his guard, he didn't know the reason behind all that. Was it only a joke? Maybe Freyr was being too paranoid, but it was the only way a male viera could live in the forests for that long.

"Magnus, I don't know whether all this is nothing but a joke or if we are really being hunted. Don't drop your guard, but do not attack things before being sure they are hostile." Freyr said, in a monotone whisper to Magnus. If possible, Freyr didn't want any innocent blood on his hands.

Standing still, with his bow drawn, he used his enhanced hearing and sense of smell, Freyr tried to track down the one behind those pranks. Whoever it was, it should be nearby them.

Bast Ragoczy

Bast heard as the priestess complained, clearly annoyed at his words. He wouldn't lie, he didn't liked those religious types... They were all hypocrites... all of them puppets, nothing more. They were even happy in being used...
"When you are done or out of chalk, come see me at the church. We can discuss your payment then." she said turning around.

"As you wish... 'Dark Priestess'" Bast said, with a rather unsettling laugh and a smirk on his face.
"Pray to your broken gods and fallen idols, lest your life be consumed by them." He said, walking away as the rhythmed sound of his cane hitting the ground as he walked marked his departure.

Talking with those religious types always left him in a rather sour mood. He never had the patience to argue with them. Those who chose to be ignorant, who willingly blinded themselves, turning their eyes away from the truth, preferring to live under an illusion, a convenient lie to appease their egos...

The task was simple, and thus, incredibly boring. There was nothing to do other than mark the houses with the chalk. The city was really empty... Most of the houses Bast went so far were abandoned, until he encountered a young boy standing in the middle of a large room, which once should have been a living room.

"What brings you here? Oh, I know! You're here because you think this house is abandoned! Don't worry, it is abandoned." The boy said cheerfully, while sharpening a sword.

"Once I'm done with this sword, I'm off to Varjo to kill that armored man who killed all my family and friends!" he continued, still cheerful as ever.

"That's an interesting goal you have, boy... Vengeance..." Bast said, with an intrigued smile, proffering slowly the last word, almost like he was savoring it.
"I don't mean to judge, but your mood doesn't match your intentions... Have you ever taken a life before?" Bast asked, analyzing the boy's expression.
"Would you care to tell me a little about what happened with your family? And maybe what happened with the city and what the Dark Priests have been doing here?" Bast asked, looking at the boy.

Faust Arzt

Faust heard closely as Genesis started talking about how there always existed things, but not the words for them. Faust's mind couldn't even start to imagine how things were before... everything, so he wasn't offended by Genesis correcting him, in fact, it only made him even more interested. His words failed to be able to explain what was that, not even his imagination could start to picture it. That mystery was part of that beauty. Faust didn't knew if he would ever be able to fully understand the origin of everything, not as Genesis understood it, but that was exactly why he was so interesting.
"But yes... it was fascinating how World and living creatures changed." he said, chuckling.

"As I said before, we humans know what we know only due to our theories. There are things that not even our complex equations and thesis can explain. My words fail to accurately describe the happenings which you just mentioned, my mind can't even start imagining it. This complexity, this mystery is exactly what drives humanity forward. Humans... Like a curious child, we will try to disassemble and reassemble everything, analyzing it to its tiniest pieces. Our unquenchable thirst for knowledge is our curse and blessing." Faust said, stirring up his tea before giving it another sip.

"I am no different, I love knowledge. Humanity's greatest ability is to learn with their mistakes and adapt." Faust said, smiling to Genesis.

"I have to thank you for this interest... wait" Genesis said, getting up and going to his room.
Faust didn't knew what he was doing, but he patiently waited for him.

"Here... these are old sketches..." Genesis said, placing an unnamed book in front of him.

"I..." Faust tried to say, as he opened the book, with his eyes wide open. He spent a good few minutes looking at the pages with his eyes wide open, without saying anything. He was completely absorbed in the book, paying attention to every detail, no matter how tiny it was.

"There are a lot of things I don't understand!" Faust said, looking to Genesis with a bright smile.

"This is simply fantastic! I... I don't know what to say!" Faust said.
In his eyes, there was more than just enthusiasm and curiosity... His eyes burned with the fiery passion of a scholar, the love for knowledge. When facing something completely new, something that could potentially destroy his very understanding of things that were carved on his mind as truth, seeing all those theories crumbling down... That was the real joy of a scholar.

"Genesis... I hope you're ok with questions, because I will have many." Faust said, laughing soundly as he continued to look at the book's pages.

Finally finished cleaning the kitchen T__T

@BCTheEntity

Ohoho~

I'll let you know that I am pretty confident in my cooking skills!

Taste my food, and you'll know how heaven tastes like

PS: finally finished cleaning everything.

PS2: I remembered one thing, still need to wait for @GoddessOfNature to write her post before I write mine.
@BCTheEntity

Screw my kitchen!!

I seasoned that pork with so much love and lemon... And now its gone!

I WANT MY FOOD BACK T__T

Due to some IRL issues (was cooking some pork roast, the pressure cooker literally exploded, wrecking 60% of my kitchen T___T At least I wasn't nearby when it exploded...) I won't be able to write my post today, as I will spend the rest of the day cleaning and trying to fix my kitchen...

The thing is: What made me really mad is not the absolute mess that happened, but the fact that I wont be able to eat the food I was preparing...

I promise i'll have it done tomorrow! Sorry for the delay!

Nyna

Deep down inside, Nyna knew things wouldn't be as smooth as she had planned. It was too easy, and there was something in the Katze Plains... All that mist, all that ominous atmosphere that freaked her out. Her suspicions weren't that distant from the truth, as she would soon discover.

Coming from inside the mist, a terrible sound echoed through the hazy plains. The sound of bones and metal clanking, almost in a rhythm, announced the arrival of some unwanted guests... Appearing from behind the mist, the undead came. Zombies, skeletons and death hounds were amongst the first to arrive. By the sound still echoing in the air, there were probably more on their way. To make things worse, the poor footing made it very hard for Nyna to fight properly. If she tried to run there, she would probably fall down. She would have to use some tricks to get out of that situation.

Nyna was almost attacking them, but she hesitated. She had forgotten that Spooky was also an undead... What would she do? It may sound a bit silly, but Nyna was still worried about saying or doing something offensive about the fact that he was an undead... Maybe that was still some reflexes of her old self speaking...
As Nyna looked to Spooky, uncertain if she should attack or not, she was somehow relieved to see that Spooky himself was drawing his massive sword to attack the undead. She watched amazed as Spooky swung the massive sword, sending some of the zombies' bodies flying, separating their torsos from their legs.

As the sword hit the ground behind him with an audible sound due to its weight, he looked to her.
"O-Oh! Right! I'm sorry, I was just... thinking about something." Nyna said, smiling awkwardly and trying to hide her real thoughts from him.

"All this mud makes it practically impossible for me to run freely and move properly... But I can still do some pretty interesting things! Watch this!" Nyna said with a mischievous smile.

Holding the Lunar Edge by passing her hands inside it, she put her hands together, fingers interlocked, the index and middle fingers raised and pressed together. As she did that, a strong current of air surrounded her, immediately being absorbed by her weapon. As she grabbed it, holding it in a throwing position, it was possible to see the air currents around the weapon, thanks to the mist in the area.

Holding the Lunar Edge with one hand, while raising her index and middle finger in a ninja signal, she used her entire body weight to throw the circular blade at the undead hoard, approaching Spooky as he looked to her. It was obvious that even if they attacked him, he wouldn't get hurt, thanks to his armor, but Nyna didn't want to stand there, doing nothing while Spooky did all the work for her...

The blade flew towards an undead, slicing him cleanly in two and making an impossibly sharp turn to hit another undead before stopping in front of Nyna again, floating in front of her, spinning with a terrible velocity.

"Pretty cool, right?" Nyna said, smiling to Spooky, proud of herself.

"This mud... Ugh! Its will take a while for me to take all this mud out of my claws when we get to the city... I hope it doesn't get stuck on my shin guards... It will be literally hell to clean it properly if it does..." Nyna said, with an annoyed expression as she sent her blade flying towards one of the death hounds that were approaching them, cutting its head straight off. While most of the other people would be shocked by the brutality of her attacks, Nyna herself showed an unusual lack of emotions while doing so.

@13org

A good chance he is referring to my post which has undead heading in on your guys position...I just forgot to mention the people involved in it and mentioned after the fact doesn't help at all...whoops.

That said, I do think Spooky could easily do something at this point in time.

@13org

Oh sorry. I was away when that was posted, so I assumed we both just moved on walking in the mist. Didn't need me to reply.

I missed that post @IceHeart, sowwy! XD idk why but I didn't get the notification
