Yasha

Yasha carefully studied the man's reactions after she spoke. It appeared that Selena's cheerful greeting and her words at least had some effect. The man still had his hand under his cloak, but he was obviously more relaxed. After a few seconds, he presented himself. His name was Lessig Rhoun. To make things even better, he said that he was in fact concerned with them, due to Yasha, Senna and Selena all being young (at least in appearance) women, travelling all by themselves.

"The name is Lessig. Lessig Rhoun. I'd be troubled to leave you girls all by your lonesome. I have daughter your age. Can't help worrying sometimes." He said, finally taking his hands off whatever weapon he had under his cloak.

That was a good start, at least he wasn't considering running away or attacking them. The last thing Yasha wanted now was innocent blood on her hands, after all, the man was just a simple merchant.

"You have the right of it Miss, there's plenty of room in the back, so you won't be fighting for space. It'd ease my mind, if you'd join me 'til we at least reach the fort at Wolf's Run. I'll wager you girls are heading to Arcos no?" Lessig said, nodding towards Yasha.

"Your kindness won't go unnoticed, Lessig Rhoun." Yasha said, with a formal bow.
"Yes, we are indeed heading towards Arcos. Its a long journey, and the road is dangerous. It will be much more safer after the fort. I'm grateful that we've found a good person that allowed us to accompany them." Yasha said, heading towards the back of the wagon.

Lessig was still a bit wary about them, as it was quite obvious by his glances, but he did seem to be looking much more towards Senna.
After a few seconds, he said something about Senna being a dragon-blessed, referring to her almost like she was some kind of holy being.
She was surprised how Lessig didn't suspected that Senna was a demon, especially due to her tail, but on the other hand, she was rather relieved by his ignorance. That would mean that they wouldn't have as many problems, that is, if Senna kept quiet and didn't tried anything funny, which had quite a good chance of her doing, taking in account the flirty way she talked to him and the giggle she gave before getting in the wagon.

Yasha got inside the wagon after Senna and Selena. Selena fell asleep as soon as she entered the wagon, sleeping in a rather... vulnerable position, especially to a woman. Thinking a little bit about her, it was easy for her to see that she wouldn't cause much trouble. She appeared to be a very innocent and kind girl. Senna, on the other hand, was another story. She had a certain... venom on her words that made her especially dangerous. Yasha would surely keep an eye on her.

Yasha was sitting down, with her legs crossed, looking to the magical screen she had just conjured. using the direction they were currently heading, and the aerial view of the area that she had displayed on the screen, she was able to pinpoint the fort Lessig was talking about.

"We are on your hands, Lessig. If you see or hear anything weird, things like bandits & etc. Please tell us right away. We will be glad to help you." Yasha said, with an almost noble like smile.
Selena was already sleeping, Senna was currently talking with Lessig, in a clearly overly familiar tone... Since it would take a while for them to get to the fort, she might as well do something useful, instead of only sitting there, doing nothing.

The first thing that passed through her head was all the magic energy she was feeling inside her. It was a very new sensation, and she was obviously not used to it. The best thing to do would be meditating, and trying to get used to all that magic energy inside her.

Closing her eyes in a calm and serene expression, Yasha started to concentrate on the flow of magic inside her. How it permeated her very being, the way it was liberated when she started casting a spell, the connection between the magic inside her and the new world that surrounded her.

Nyna

Nyna flinched visibly as she heard Spooky scolding her, but she didn't blame him. Well... the circumstances were indubitably different between them... Mainly the fact that he was an undead... Was that the reason why he was angry? But it wasn't only that. He sounded very... confused, was he all right? Maybe the fall messed up his memory a little bit? Or maybe it was the fact that he turned into an undead? Nyna didn't know... In fact, she knew very little about undead. Only that they were annoying to deal with, since many of her attacks didn't worked that well on them...

"I have to get... home?" He said after a short while.
That word made her think a little bit. 'Home'... Would she really miss her home? Thinking a little bit about that, she wasn't that sure... Did that made her strange? Weird? Probably. But the fact that she felt almost nothing for her parents, friends or home was a fact. But that wasn't the time to think about that. She now wasn't Ha-Yun anymore. Those things were Ha-Yun's problems, not Nyna's problems.

While she was lost in her own thoughts, Spooky was saying something about something that could help with his concealment, but Nyna wasn't really paying attention. The only thing she perceived with the corner of her eyes was him swiping the air, almost like if he was trying to bring up the game's console or something. Of course, nothing happened, or at least that was what Nyna thought. Suddenly a dark flash swarmed Spooky's body, interrupting her thoughts. After a brief while the dark flash subsided, revealing a strange cloak, covering almost his entire body, showing only his gauntlets and sabaton feet. He still had a very, very big and imposing figure, but he would at least he looked a bit more like a human... A very suspicious human, but a human nonetheless.

"I think this will be sufficient. Lead the way." Spooky said after wearing the cloak.

"You still look a bit... suspicious, but I don't think that it would be a problem... Lets go then!" Nyna said, grabbing his hand and pulling him through the forest giving little jumps, almost running.

Getting out of the forest, they arrived on the Katze Plains. Extending endlessly in almost every direction, it was clear that it would be quite the walk until they arrived somewhere. Their best bet would be to follow the highway.

"Oh! There it is!" Nyna said, pointing to the highway on the distance, after looking around a little bit. Although it was quite foggy, almost unnaturally so, Nyna was still able to see the highway in the distance, although very barely, maybe thanks to her enhanced vision.
"Come, we have no time to lose!" Nyna said, pulling Spooky once more, almost falling when she stepped on the cold, frozen ground.

The ground was hard and cold, cracked due to the cold. The sharp cold sensation when she stepped on it was almost like a needle, making her jump, startled. It would be annoying to pass through that field of mud and ice, but it was the only way to reach the highway.
"This might be a little annoying... Especially because I don't wear shoes... the ground is very, very cold, and this fog is really strange..." Nyna said, giving small little jumps as she tried to get used to the cold.

"We just need to keep heading straight towards that direction and we won't get lost. The highway is marked by some wooden milestones, so we will know when we are near it." Nyna said, smiling to Spooky.

"But I won't lie... This fog is really strange... Stay close... ok? I don't want to get lost..." Nyna said, looking around. The visibility was very bad due to the fog. Strangely enough, it didn't seem to be that foggy near the highway, it was like that dense fog was only concentrating on the Katze Plains...

Ok... my bad T_T Writer's block... Will have something done tomorrow. I promise.
Faust Arzt

Faust was glad to hear that Genesis didn't find his words offensive. He was new to all that... demi-human thing... At least it was his first time speaking with one, obviously there was a culture shock, after all, all those demi-human races had their own history, their own laws, costumes & etc. For some, it may be difficult to accept that, but Faust was simply fascinated by those things.

"And it is good you like history! Because I have some things that could interesst you... and I love to tell stories about my live!" Genesis said, piquing up Faust's interest.

As Genesis started to tell his story to him, Faust listened to it very carefully, completely focused on the story. It was hard to believe, sure, after all, he was saying that he saw so many things that the humans only knew about it by theories... But even if one tried to argue against the story Genesis was telling, it was simply impossible. The details were so vivid, so clear... And there was the fact that he was standing right there, in front of Faust. A creature that clearly is not human.

The things Genesis said amazed Faust. The beauty of nothingness, the sound of silence, the duality, light and darkness, heat and cold... He saw first hand how everything started, how everything came to existence. It was simply marvelous. Faust's imagination couldn't even think about a scene so beautiful as his words described, it was simply beyond his imagination.

"Should I stop for now? Or continou? It can be quiet overhelming when you hear this for the first time... " He said, after a little while.

"No, no! By all means, continue if you wish to do so!" Faust spoke, taking another sip at his tea.
"I would do anything to see it. It must have been wonderful. The beauty of nothingness... Seeing everything being created in front of your eyes." Faust said, with a smile on his face.
"It's really amazing that you actually saw a thing that we, humans only know by theories and calculations!" Faust said, looking at Genesis. He could easily see that Faust was really interested on his story.

Freyr

The second Freyr jumped, he felt something catching his leg, hanging him upside down near Magnus, his leg stuck in a loop of a rope. The worst thing wasn't even that. The worse thing was that he was now covered in a sticky thing and feathers. How did he miss that? Such an obvious trap... What the hell was happening? It was unnecessary to say, but that obviously irritated him. Whoever was in that forest was playing with them... Immediately taking his knife and cutting down the rope, he gracefully landed on the ground. Instead of the howl, a weird giggle echoed through the forest.

On the ground, next to them, something caught Freyr's eyes. It was a message.
"Cheating isnt allowed. Fight the wolf like men or feel the wraith of humiliation" the message said, written in a piece of bark, almost immediately after he read it, the odd howl from before came again, this time it was closer, and oddly enough, it sounded... fake. Someone was playing with them... Using the edge of his knife, he quickly cut part of the sticky substance, at least enough to make him look less ridiculous and let him move freely. He wouldn't have enough time to take it off completely, at least not now.

"I fight like a Viera, not like a man... Otherwise, I would already be dead a long time ago..." He thought to himself, irritated with the message.

Sheathing his knife, he crushed the piece of bark with his foot, with an obviously irritated expression, before hearing a rustling sound nearby. With his bow on hands, and an arrow already nocked, he looked to the direction the sound was coming, pointing his bow to that same direction. His face showed no emotions, his cold stare didn't show a mere vestige of the anger he felt moments before.
He would take no chances. Whoever was the one toying with them, would quickly learn that it wasn't very smart to put itself between a hunter and its prey...

Bast Ragoczy

Bast heard carefully as Riñas spoke about the reason why she was helping the city. She said she was only looking to spread the teachings of her god. Bast was no stranger to religions, nor to priests and worshippers. He knew enough to doubt their words and intentions. But one part of her speech caught his attention.

"Did I not make myself clear?"
"I'm pretty sure I just said that you should use the chalk I gave you to mark the doors of abandoned houses." she said, rising an eyebrow.

"Just spreading the teachings of the fallen god, right?" Bast said, with a grin on his face.
"My dear Riñas... Everything has a purpose. I just seek the reason behind it..." He said, reaching inside his cloak and grabbing a playing card, twiddling it on his fingers. It was a simple two of hearts.
"Marking the abandoned houses with chalk seems like a very... easy job, doesn't it? It's not that hard or exciting... Surely, anyone would be able to do it... It is a shame... I was expecting something more..." Bast continued, with a displeased expression.
"But I did say I was at your disposal, didn't I? And I always keep my words. But I will warn you... I can't promise you I wont investigate this situation a bit more... Who knows? Maybe I might stumble upon something interesting..." He said, with a rather dark smile, looking directly to her eyes, almost like if he was looking inside of her.

"Oh, you don't need to worry about the payment. I'm not bound by such frivolous and superficial things such as money... I have much more... deeper goals. Think of me like... a wild card..." Bast said, turning the two of hearts with his finger, hiding its front and turning it back again, now showing a joker instead.

"Farewell, for now, miss Riñas. I'll be back after I finish your request." He said, putting the playing card back on his pocket and walking towards the city.

Neat, was just asking for orientation. So we still need to face fog, ice, mud and probably other dangerous things until we get to the road, nice. lol

<Snipped quote by 13org>

If you guys are heading through Katze Plains I can easily set up an event to happen there. The thing to note for the Katze Plains is that it will be quite unnaturally foggy, and there is a very good chance of seeing undead roaming around and old ruins. As can be expected of such a place few people bother to go there but there are always a few weirdos around.

The road on the distance is after the Katze Plains, correct? So we still need to pass through it to get to the road, right?

If anything on my post (regarding Nyna) doesn't add up, just tell me and ill fix it :-)

Yasha

As Yasha, Selena and Senna walked down the mountain trail, it was obvious that it was rarely used. The signs were covered in rime and timeworn, the road itself was very badly kept, it was clear that people there rarely traveled that road. After a while, the road led them to an old forest. The air was heavy and stale, the trees, devoid of any foliage, together with thin pillars of light illuminating it, gave the forest quite the unique appearance.

"Aaaaahhh... The pleasant smell of the forest... This kind of thing is really rare on the real world and here we can enjoy it in abundance..." Yasha heard Selena speaking, just ahead of her and Senna. Selena's company was quite refreshing. She was indeed very happy and talkative, differently from Senna, which kept quiet for the most part of the travel.

It was indeed pleasant, walking down the mountain together with Selena and Senna was indeed the right choice. Sure, she could have just used her fly spell to get to her destination faster, but she would lose that pleasant scenery. The taste of mulch and loam in the air, the streaks of light passing through the branches, illuminating the forest... It was a scenery worthy of a painting. If they weren't currently going somewhere, Yasha would certainly have stopped for a little while to appreciate it. She used to live in a big city, but she always loved the tranquility and the silence of living in a traditional house on the beautiful villages, hidden amongst the mountains. That was one of the reasons why Yasha wore a classic, traditional Japanese style kimono.

"It is really a scenery worthy of a painting, isn't it?" Yasha answered, after a little while.
"The trees, the pillars of light passing through its branches and reflecting on the snow..." Yasha said, breathing in deeply with her eyes closed. She wanted to enjoy that scenery, even if it was only for a little bit.

Just after the forest, they arrived on a more traveled road. Differently from the trail down the mountain, this one was obviously well kept. The trees were trimmed down, almost creating a natural tunnel around the road, the many wagons that passed through that road marked the ground. Shortly after getting on that road, the distinct sound of a wagon interrupted Yasha's thoughts. The conductor was a large man, with a stocky frame, which seemed to be very capable of supporting his own weight and to carry the barrels and cloth sacks beneath his wagon. He was rather nervous as he stopped behind them. Yasha could feel his calculating eyes studying them, the man's face marked with suspicion. Selena was the first one to talk to him, with an amicable greeting, which didn't seem to do much regarding the man's anxiousness.

“Are you folks by chance from the Adventurer’s Guild?” the man asked.
Although the man had a polite voice and relaxed shoulders, it wasn't enough to hide the subtle movement he was making with his right hand, reaching for something under his cloak. By the way he was moving, Yasha quickly deducted that it was either a knife or another kind of short blade, hidden beneath his cloak.

Getting into trouble right now was the last thing they would want, especially because they were trying to gather information. The best choice would try to be friendly with the locals, and not the opposite.
"Adventurer's guild? That might be a good place to go..." Yasha thought to herself, just as Selena answered the man, saying that they indeed were from the guild. Differently from Selena, Senna kept quiet, instead studying the man's reactions.
That little lie may prove to be quite beneficial for them. Maybe it would be a good idea to contribute to it a little bit... If she played the right cards, it would be quite easy to convince that man that she was some kind of noble or something. It was the only way to explain her 'unique' clothes and the rifle she was carrying.

"Its a pleasure to meet you, we are indeed heading to the guild." Yasha said, with a formal bow and a smooth and refined voice.

"I must say, I'm quite relieved... For a second I thought you were a bandit or something, but that's clearly not the case." Yasha said, with an incredibly innocent and kind smile.

"I'm terribly sorry for thinking that. Travelling alone, especially when you're a lady, is quite dangerous. I was lucky to meet these two on the road." Yasha said, maintaining her innocent expression. The formal way she was talking and moving would further contribute to the façade she was putting, looking more like the daughter of a noble than an adventurer. Both Selena and Senna would quickly realize what she was trying to do, especially after she looked to them with a very discreet smile on her face.

"I know it may be asking too much, but would you mind accompanying us until we get to the city? It will be safer if we go together." Yasha asked, smiling at the man and glancing to both Selena and Senna, waiting for their approval.
