Current Sorry for the delay everyone. I've been absolutely swamped with work these last weeks. I'm getting my replies up slowly.

Keeping track of things makes it easier to avoid bad experiences! And to not make the same mistake like an idiot... :-/

Oh, you didn't need to change it at all. I was just mentioning bcos Karina is in a tough position right now as she doesn't trust anyone in the group (and with what just happened, it's even worse).

The thing with her age is fine! as I said, you didn't need to change anything from the start XD
Karina is a bit sensitive about the whole 'being called a kid' part because other officers look down upon her due to her age, despite her undeniable talent and intelligence.

@Pezz570

Sorry guys, some things happened here that left me pretty busy but i'll post tomorrow. promise.
Ouch... Chres just struck a nerve calling Karina a 'kid'

Saying things like 'I couldn't die because I had to protect you' also doesn't help (she has a small complex about the whole age and size thing.)

There is also the fact that that Karina simply cannot trust Hark anymore. He pointed his weapon at her first. The 'group' is honestly breaking apart right now. Karina won't trust Hark, it doesn't matter what Chres says, and now that Chres said all this, including basically throwing on her face that he did 'save' them all she is even less inclined to stay with the group.

The situation is already very bad, having to worry not only with the Cultists, but with people who are supposed to be your allies is too much. The dangers far outweighs the benefits for Karina.
Will have my post done tomorrow :-)
Karina Frost

It was obvious that Chres was wounded. Even if he said that he would somehow deal with it Karina still kept looking at him with a serious expression. Things would already get harder from now on. Taking care of wounds was something neither of them could have the luxury of doing right now.

As Chres started to make another heat construct though, he turned to Octavio, asking about familiars. It was then that Karina realized that the little annoying familiar that was with him wasn't there with them. By what Chres said, something had happened to her. But before Octavio could answer Chres, or even before Chres himself could end his sentence, a small movement on the corner of Karina's eyes caught her attention. Karina wasn't the only one that noticed, but Chres was faster in telling her that there was someone climbing the roof. But this time, Chres forgot to use her 'nickname', the one that Gin gave her, instead calling her by her name...

Karina's attention was divided between looking at her own group, watching their reactions after Chres said her name and looking at the dark skinned girl climbing the roof. Karina's rapier was unsheathed as she looked to both sides. Although she was paying a bit more attention at the dark skinned girl, whom she considered to be a bigger threat, she also had an eye on her group. Fortunately for Karina, or maybe unfortunately, she wasn't wrong in doubting her own group. Hark was quick to pull out his knife, pointing it at her throat.

Immediately pointing her rapier towards Hark, she simply smiled as she heard his words. Her expression didn't show surprise, fear or anger... It was a frighteningly calm and cold expression, her eyes focused on Hark with a piercing stare as the air around her started to get colder and colder. Her rapier's blade was so cold that a white mist could be seen getting out of her blade.

"Bigger problems?" Karina asked as Hark turned his back to her to speak with Chres. The second he did so, Hark would see two ice blades forming behind Chres, pointing towards Hark as the other two were nearby Karina, pointed towards the direction where the dark skinned woman was coming from.

"You shouldn't turn your back so easily to a person you just threatened." Karina said with the ice blades ominously pointing towards Hark.

"Do you think you can simply point your dagger to me and expect me to do nothing? You just made an enemy, Hark. Even though we are surrounded by enemies on all sides, you choose to make another one. Foolish choice. I can't keep working together with someone that might stab me in the back at any moment." Karina said.

Without taking her eyes from Hark, she pointed the two remaining ice blades towards the dark skinned woman.
"Someone, keep an eye on the dark skinned woman on the building behind us." Karina said. She could only hope someone would understand their situation and do that... Both Hark and the dark skinned woman were potential threats now and she could only trust Chres, who was currently wounded... She couldn't focus her attention at both of them at the same time.

Everyone on that group was a stranger to Karina. Ironically enough, the one she suspected the most was the closest thing to an 'ally' she had. Chres knew who she was and choose to stay quiet about it. Either he didn't care or he knew how to evaluate their situation at that moment and realized that it would be better for both of them to work together.

"I am Karina Frost. Cpt. Karina Frost. Military of the nation of Touch. I am here to gather more information about the cult. That is all that you need to know regarding me for now." Karina said, loud enough for everyone in the group to hear. She expected that they understood what her words meant. If her intentions were other, she would have brought an entire division to invade this town.

"We are- I am already surrounded by enemies in all sides. One more won't make a difference. I can either kill you right here, losing a potential ally, but also eliminating a threat or we can work together to get out of this mess alive." Karina said. Her words and her expression indicated that what she said wasn't an empty threat. She was giving a real choice to Hark.

"Look around you, Hark. The Cult already has its roots deep within your country... If it's still your country and not the Cult's country that is..." Karina said, still pointing her rapier and two of the four ice blades towards Hark.

"They are a far bigger threat than any of the sides of this war are to another... I am here in this mission to try and make my superiors realize this..." Karina completed. She hoped that the others on the group would hear her. They all needed to work together if they wanted to have better chances to get out of the town alive... Starting a fight amongst themselves was a quick way to drop their chances of survival to near zero.

"Now... How we will solve this predicament, Hark? I can't trust you anymore. We have little time until the cultists realize what happened and come after us." Karina asked, with a cold, emotionless voice.
Nina

@Hekazu

Nina simply smiled after she saw the waitress looking at her up and down, deciding if she should trust her story or not. Nina had already made business with other gangs before, so she was kind of accustomed with that. It was always somewhat a tense situation when an outsider was on a gang's hideout. She still remembered how nervous she was on the first times she made business with other gangs. With time though, Nina learned that keeping a smile on her face was the best tactic to disarm any possible hostile intentions and to simply made negotiations easier overall. Differently from the waitress though, the barkeeper was much more talkative, not only complimenting her saying she didn't look like a 'combat zone' girl but also trying to sell her a drink.

"Well... Appearances can be deceiving..." Nina replied to the barkeeper, giving him a mischievous wink. As she looked at him though, she realized that indeed she indeed didn't looked like someone who would have business on the combat zones, especially thanks to the pretty clothes she was wearing. Not even her biocybernetic legs could help her a bit to look more like a 'combat zone gal' as the barkeeper said.

"I thank you for your offer, but I'm afraid it wouldn't be a good idea to drink before making business." Nina said with a chuckle after he asked if she wanted to buy something.

After a few moments, a bare chested man with diving goggles came to take her to his bosses, whom one of them was probably Ribby, she supposed. Following the limping man, Nina was careful to make a mental map of the bar and where he was taking her. Not only that, but she also noticed that the handgun he was using was the same model the police used to give to their lower ranking officers.

Upon being introduced by the limping man, who promptly left her alone with Ribby and another man, Ribby went straight to the point, asking her about what she knew about Lt. Davison. Nodding towards the other man and sitting down on the chair he offered her, she simply listened as both men talked.

"Lt. Davison..." Nina repeated, sighing.

"It wasn't easy to get any information about that man, you know? It's almost like he completely vanished from the face of the earth... Nobody seems to know anything about him and if they know, they never say it wanting to monopolize the information for themselves... One thing made me curious about him though... It seems that a lot of things someway or another are connected to him... Especially regarding classified equipment... Not the kind that you would find laying around anywhere..." Nina said, carefully watching the men's reactions as she spoke. Albeit she was being delicate about all that, she knew very well that not only their, but the situation to all gangs was like a powder barrel... It would only take a small spark for things to turn into complete chaos. Ribby as well, probably knew that.

"Regarding the payment... Money is always welcome... A girl needs to have some spare money not only to buy some clothes, but some... 'accessories' as well, am I right?" Nina said, looking to both men with a cheerful smile and a small laugh as she analyzed their reactions.
Lila Moriarty

@Rai @13org

The servant's words left a bitter taste on Lila's mouth as he simply left, locking the door behind him. She knew it was unavoidable. If she wanted to have her own life, if she wanted to change how her life was until now, she would have to make enemies. But still... It was a difficult situation to deal with, since the servant was kind to her when they met.

"At least I'm not alone anymore..." Lila said with a sad tone, gently caressing Virais, who was on the bed nearby her.

Virais himself didn't know what was happening. He didn't know why Lila was on that dusty, dark room or why they were locked there, but he could feel the sadness within Lila's voice. Unfortunately, the only thing he could do for her was trying to comfort her with his presence.
Nudging Lila's hands with his snout, he walked closer to her, resting his head on Lila's lap as he laid down on the bed nearby her. But that calmness, that comfort Virais presence brought to Lila wouldn't last for much longer...

One hour later, the door opened once more. But this time, instead of the Nayu servant from before, the ones who came for her were Nero soldiers, with their blades drawn and with crossbows on their hands. After chaining Virais to one of the stone walls on that room, they turned to Lila, finally speaking with her. Their only word to Lila was for her to go with them. Lila herself didn't have much choice. Even though she wanted Virais to be with her, it was improbable that they would hear her, especially as they had their weapons drawn as they came closer to her.

Leading her through a dark, narrow hall, Lila knew that there was something wrong... Why would they escort her like that, with weapons drawn, like a prisoner? Her thoughts would only be confirmed after she arrived on her destination. Behind big doors, Lila was led by the soldiers inside a big hall, where many Nayu elders sat on rows of chairs, one higher than another, all of them looking straight towards Lila, watching every movement she made. Amongst them, Lila could see Anui, sitting besides his mother, who had a wicked smirk on her face.

After a few moments of silence, the elders spoke to Lila.
"You are under trial for the accused murder of dozens of Nero royals whilst under the banner of the Aion. You are also accused of manipulating a royal with intent to extort. How will you plead?" they said, making Lila look around with a confused expression for a moment before her blood started to boil.

Why were they doing that to her? She was with Anui the entire time, she didn't lift a finger on that night that the Aion came... She wasn't even notified that something like that would happen...

If that wasn't enough, she heard Dextra's voice, under a wicked smirk, saying her blood would flow that night.

With her emotions going wild on her mind, she could only look at Anui, who was simply sitting there besides his mother, in silence, without saying anything. Why wasn't he saying anything? He knew what happened... He saw everything, he was with her...

"Anui... Tell them what happened. I was with you the entire night..." Lila said, with a mix of confusion and anger on her eyes.

"I... I didn't lift a finger that night... Why...?" Lila said, looking down for a brief moment, before looking to Anui once more. This time, her eyes were hard and cold. Was she wrong in believing him? Why... Was she really not allowed to be happy? Was her only allowed to be a weapon, a tool her entire life? Why was all that happening to her.

"SAY SOMETHING!" Lila shouted, looking to Anui.

"Please... Say something..." She said once more as tears rolled down her face. Her vision was blurred due to the tears, her skin, red and hot with anger... Her tears felt like they were made of flames as they rolled down her face, a painful reminder of how foolish she was, of how naΓ―ve she was... Everything that would happen that moment onwards was only her fault... Her fault for believing she could be happy... Her fault for believing she would be accepted by others... Her own fault for trusting others...

Dark thoughts flooded her mind, almost like there was a small voice on the back of her head, mocking her for being such an idiot. While what was happening, the situation that moment was as clear as ice, Lila still didn't want to believe... She still had hopes Anui would say something... He loved her... right? He said he loved her... He promised he would stay with her...

"You... promised... me..." Lila mumbled to herself, biting her lower lip making a drop of blood roll down her chin.

Sophia

@Rai @13org

Even though Sophia didn't have much time to sate her curiosity regarding some of the kings and queens at the meeting, or even get to know better the group who would be responsible for fetching the godsmith's hammer, things went in a satisfactory way. They now had a plan to fight back the threat that approached them and for the first time in many years, the kings and queens were joining forces.

But as Sophia's mind went back to the Temple and how things went while she was away, unexpectedly, Vrondi interrupted her. His figure floating in front of her with his arms crossed, blocking her path as he apologized for not being able to give her the respect she deserved, while saying he needed to speak with her in private.

"Difficult and trying times approach us, there is no need to apologize." Sophia said, looking at Vrondi with a curious expression, uncertain what he had to speak with her.

His next words were honestly... Surprising. Even if it was Vrondi, Sophia wasn't expecting he would say something like that... He wanted to test her, to see if she was able to defend herself or he would keep her there to protect her.

Without more words, Vrondi erupted in light as he hurled a massive orb of energy towards her, glowing like a second sun. Letting out a fearsome breath attack, a beam of concentrated plasma got out of her mouth, clashing against Vrondi's attack. After some time, her chaotic magical energy clashing against Vrondi's pure light energy, fighting against multiple clones, Vrondi slowed down, apologizing for his actions. Sophia knew Vrondi was holding himself back, as Sophia herself was. Both of them were incredibly powerful, Sophia herself didn't know who would win if they fought seriously, but both sides would be incredibly wounded and the land would suffer if they indeed clashed seriously.

While Sophia could, in part, understand his desire to 'test' her power, she couldn't hide her disappointment. It seemed that even Vrondi, after all, respected only power. Sophia wouldn't back down after he challenged her like that, but she strongly disagreed with his actions. They should be conserving strength for the oncoming conflicts they would have to face... not fighting against each other...

As Vrondi started talking, Sophia said nothing, simply looking at him with hard and cold eyes, clear indications that she was disappointed and strongly disagreed with what had just happened.
Sophia heard as he continued talking, while she knew that there were cold places on both ends of the world, she always thought they were empty, desolate places. So Vrondi's next words surprised her. He claimed that on one of them, there were crystal structures of unknown origin or design. While he said he couldn't feel life as he stood far from it, he said that once he approached them, he saw that inside those crystal structures, laid dormant an unknown being, likely summoned ages ago... and on the very core of this unknown being, he could still feel signals of life... Almost like if it was simply in slumber, waiting for it to be awakened once more.

Sophia looked at Vrondi with her eyes wide open, as he said to her that that 'thing' tried to communicate itself with him, speaking in a chaotic, unknown tongue. Even though he moved it to the moon, the thoughts of merely trying to communicate with it once more filled Vrondi with dark, twisted memories. While Nuxta, despite his dark, twisted ideals, was still a divine, that thing Vrondi found wasn't divine. It was simply chaos. Chaos Enigma, as Vrondi called. Disappearing as suddenly as he came, Vrondi left Sophia with her own thoughts.

While in part, she was extremely curious about that... Chaos Enigma, she felt inside her a weird feeling... Something inside her was saying that this Chaos Enigma was completely different from the confrontation with Nuxta... If somehow that thing freed itself, not even Nuxta would be safe...

"This... needs to remain a secret... Nor Nuxta nor anyone should know about it..." Sophia mumbled to herself. It was almost like the very Grimorium Verum knew that the Chaos Enigma should remain forever asleep, lest they wanted to face complete, unavoidable chaos.
