I've just realized that in all the 9 years I've been part of this site, I've never had to change my name, make an alt account or anything like that!

Nailah kept carefully analyzing the woman's reactions with a smirk and feline eyes. The most common reaction if someone found an intruder spying on their secret meeting was either attack them or try to capture/interrogate them, yet, Nailah was simply looking at her, with a mischievous smile on her face, not even moving.

"A dragonling~ How interesting..." Nailah thought to herself as she watched the woman's hand started to radiate heat and saw the small snout from the dragonling hissing at her.

Instead of attacking Nailah, which was what she was expecting, the strange woman jumped in the air, her claws digging into the tree as she used it as a platform to jump away from Nailah, creating a small explosion as she did so.

"Ooh~ You're surprisingly agile!" Nailah said, jumping back to avoid the splinters coming from the tree, but without any intention to follow her, even though the agility she displayed jumping away from the explosion meant that she could probably keep up with her.

"See you later~" Nailah said waving her hands playfully as the strange woman ran away.

A few minutes after, Nailah went back to where Dremmick and Allard were, with the same smirk she had when she met the strange girl.

"It was a young woman with a small dragonling companion. Claws and fire magic. After seeing her movements, it is pretty clear that she is trained." Nailah said, appearing from behind the trees.

"She fled instead of attacking us so I don't think she was a threat..." Nailah said, shrugging.

"So... Would you two gentlemen mind introducing me to the other members? I am quite curious about them!" Nailah said with a giggle.

@Hekazu

Nina was waiting for Croak to decide how they would approach Scarlett. Do you want to reply first? Nina could simply assume Croak spent some time thinking and she went ahead and did the things her way.
Nina

The negotiation was going... decently well. Despite the fact that both men weren't that interested in the big facts regarding megacorps and instead were focusing more on their envoy, things were going smoothly. Both men apparently a bit more at ease around Nina. As one of them started talking, he raised some points that Nina had forgot to take in consideration... They were just a gang... They couldn't even hope to tickle a megacorporation... And if they somehow did, nothing good would come out of it. Their best bet was to simply keep things under control while trying to be discreet and so the big corps wouldn't turn their eyes towards them.
As he continued talking, Nina heard carefully, realizing that he was completely correct about all that.

"You... are completely right. Maybe it was just my curiosity, but indeed the best course of action would to try to not draw too much unwanted attention." Nina said, nodding to both guys.

"Thinking about it... I wouldn't want to get noticed by them as well... They could get rid of me as easily as they could maybe try to hire me... And the first option is way more likely to happen." Nina said, laughing.

As both Nina and one of the two guys, who had invited her to talk a bit more about the partnership thing, headed towards the exit, he asked her about her plans.

Although she knew that the reason why he wanted to talk more about that wasn't entirely regarding work, that made things a little bit easier to Nina. If they started to see her as a woman and not as an info broker or a solo, that would make them way easier to talk to and it would make the whole negotiation... safer to her.

"A plan? Hm~" Nina replied, crossing her arms, thinking.

"Nope. None!" Nina said with a smile, as if it was the most normal thing in the world.

"Maybe to stop somewhere on my way home to buy a fancy bottle of wine to drink with Old Albert for my birthday. Other than that, nothing more." Nina said, looking to him.

"Oh, but If you're worried about me walking around the combat zone unarmed, don't worry. Until today, I never met anyone who could keep up with me. Let alone catch me..." Nina said, laughing.

"By the way... You never told me your name. Neither have I told you mine, right? You can call me Nina." she said as she followed him towards the door.

The way she said that wasn't mere flaunting, judging by the tone of her voice. That, coupled with the fact that her cyber legs, even under the jeans, had an unique design, unlike most other cyber limbs Croak had ever seen, hinted that there might be something more to that girl below the surface...

Just as they both arrived on the door though, Nina saw a group of people arriving at the bar, just outside. Just as Nina put her eyes on them though, it was clear that they have brought blood with them. Overhearing one of them talking, she discovered that apparently, one of them was wounded. If that was the only thing to notice about those guys, Nina wouldn't have even stopped, but what called her attention wasn't any of the other members, not even the one who was talking with the bouncer, but the woman who was behind them, the one who supposedly was wounded.

She was a tall woman wearing a very unique helmet, a helmet that was a bit hard to be confused with standard equipment. It was no doubt made especially for that woman. But maybe the most interesting thing to note was that her helmet looked a lot like the one Nina heard about from a few rumors. Those rumors said that someone wearing a weird helmet and strangely enough, a big, red wolf were targeting people who might know something about Lt. Davison. At first, Nina had dismissed that as just a weird, made up story to keep others away from trying to know more about Lt. Davison and what was happening, but she now had a chance to finally see if it was indeed just a made up rumor or if it could lead to some interesting information...

"So... Have you heard about the weird rumor of a big red wolf and a solo with a strange helmet sniffing around the Combat Zone?" Nina asked Croak, being careful to speak in a low volume so only he would hear.

"According to those rumors, whoever is the one wearing the strange helmet is targeting people who might have information about Lt. Davison." Nina said, discreetly motioning towards the group talking with the bouncer, more specifically, the girl on the back.

"Wanna check it out? They're getting in right now." Nina asked, looking to Croak and waiting for his answer.
Guys, sorry for the delay. Some things went wrong IRL and I'm having to deal with some issues here. Promise I'll have my post done tomorrow

@Rai @Jollan

Nailah's first impression from Dremmick was that he was a pretty... suspicious guy. She could smell trouble on him. Too serious, too quiet... It was clear as day that he was hiding something... Be it one way or another, Nailah would know what it was. Other than that, it wasn't like Nailah didn't perceive Dremmick's judgmental stare as he looked at her up and down. Needless to say, Nailah didn't like not even one bit to be stared like that.

He was quick to get that artifact from Sophia's hand though. While Nailah had her doubts if he was indeed the best choice to handle that power, she got what Sophia meant when she said that they should be the ones to decide who would carry it. It was a test. Just like she had said herself, she was naught but an observer who was forced to take part due to unprecedented circumstances. Nailah didn't know much about Sophia's story or circumstances, but she could understand her point.

After Sophia was gone, Dremmick said about checking who was the person Sophia said was hiding from them. Nailah remembered Sophia saying that and if she wasn't mistaken, she was looking towards a certain direction when she mentioned it. Whoever it was, probably wasn't part of the group, seeing how Dremmick immediately drew his knife, spinning it on his finger.

"She is a dragon... An ancient one... You felt that weird and powerful aura, didn't you? Probably few things can be considered a 'threat' on her eyes..." Nailah replied as Allard asked if Sophia would have noticed if the hiding one was a threat.

"I will look at it. It will undoubtedly be more interesting than staying here as you stare at me with such a heavy, wary and judgmental stare..." Nailah said as she walked towards Allard, spinning her body around his, going behind him. Using Allard's large body to cut the line of sight between her, Dremmick and whoever it was that was hiding, watching them, she activated Lover's Veil. Suddenly, even if Allard looked behind him, it was like Nailah had disappeared in thin air. Not Allard nor Dremmick saw Nailah moving from behind Allard, and yet, she wasn't there anymore. Looking around also proved to be useless, until Dremmick felt a whisper on his ear and Nailah's hot breath kissing his neck.

"You smell like trouble... You're hiding something, aren't you?" Nailah said, whispering on his ear as she jumped back with a giggle as Dremmick turned around just to see her behind him. It was almost like she vanished for a second, almost like if Nailah was always just our of their field of view, moving just out of reach of their eyes, between their blind spots.

"So dangerous! If you could catch me, that is..." Nailah said with a laugh as she half walked half skipped around Dremmick holding her arms behind her back.

"Hey, I am still your ally, you know? You wouldn't hurt your own ally now, would you?" Nailah said with a smirk, showing her sharp teeth and licking her lips as she raised her hands in an inoffensive posture. Putting her arms behind her once more, Nailah slowly backed away, still looking towards Dremmick. The second Nailah went behind a tree, she disappeared once more. This time, you couldn't even feel her presence as she dashed away towards the direction where whoever was the one who was spying on them was.

Instead of going right towards the direction where the 'intruder' was, Nailah deviated her course a little bit, walking a bit to the side so she could approach the intruder by their right side, instead of simply going face to face. After searching for a brief moment, Nailah saw a tree amongst some bushes, with a suspicious shadow coming from behind it.

"There you are... Nailah thought to herself as she approached the suspicious tree, stopping literally a few steps away from it, just out of the intruder's field of view.

"How did you know I love a little game of cat and mouse?" Nailah whispered, as she revealed herself to the intruder.

"Meow~" Nailah said with a smirk as she looked at the figure who was spying on them. Even though it was hiding itself with a hood, Nailah was able to identify it as a woman due to it's curves under her clothes.
@SleepingSilence@Hekazu

Will have my post done tomorrow! :-)
@SleepingSilence
Yeah, I know it would be almost impossible for Nina to know who is she working for due to secrecy
(the fortress & etc.) But that's something Nina would want to know. A motivation for her to try to talk with Scarlett.

But Nina would definitely know about rumors about a big red 'wolf' right? Linking those rumors with Scarlett could be possible then?
@Hekazu @SleepingSilence

Nina is probably heading out, yeah. They would probably meet Scarlet either getting in or when still handing over her guns to the bouncers at the entrance.

Small question @SleepingSilence, is Scarlett a well known figure around those parts? I mean, someone like Nina, who works selling and transporting information, could have she heard about a reaper with lupine-like features sniffing around? Since Nina was also taking a quick look all the Lt. Davison thing, just like Scarlet, that wouldn't be impossible, right?

(Asking this cos depending on your answer, that could open a window for both Nina and Croak to interact with Scarlet. Maybe even choose to go inside again as Nina would be definitely interested in knowing more about Scarlet, what exactly is she doing, who is she working for & etc. That and giving Croak a little extra info could earn her some favors with him. Croak would probably want to know too, since that's his gang's hideout.
Bast Ragoczy

Most of the girls, Eilidh included, weren't pretty happy with what George did and apparently, Bast wasn't the only one considering him to maybe want to trick them or be just lying about that 'acquaintance' of his. That said, their mission today was over and it was time to decide what were they going to do.

Before Bast could ask or even say anything to Eilidh, she came to his direction as she cleared her throat, calling his attention and stepped on his foot just as he finished messing with Vară. Bast closed his eyes leaning forward a bit with a clear grimace of pain as Eilidh did so. He was lucky that his foot wasn't broken in tiny pieces. Despite the pain, Bast couldn't help but let out a discreet laughter as he heard Eilidh muttering that they should go to the Shrine of Eros to eat something. Her jealously was nothing short of adorable. Painful, but adorable.

"Ouch. My adorable Eilidh, are you jea-" Bast started to say, but was interrupted by yet another jealous/angry woman. This time, it was Vară. Despite her displaying such cute and innocent behavior, she still had a... well... very 'fiery' temper... The arrogance in her voice in part ruined the adorable and innocent charm she had earlier, but Bast couldn't help but to be amused by her reaction. Someone could use learning some manners...

"Learn your place around nobility, you dolt." she said, with an indignant tone as she stepped on Bast's other foot. While her tiny feet wouldn't do much harm themselves, she also heated her heels with her magic, making it quite painful despite her size.

Bast could only repeat the same pained expression from before as he, for the first time since he came there, used his cane the way it should be used, supporting his own weight as he leaned forwards.

Bast's formal shoes, which had survived bloodthirsty kings and queens, bandits, mercenaries, creatures and countless other kings, were finally ruined by naught but a jealous and an angry woman...

"Quite... the attitude for one whom calls themselves 'nobility' don't you think? I guess I should be insulting you instead of complimenting you, I suppose?" Bast said with a dissatisfied expression towards Vară.

"Amongst all the secrets that surround our world, woman are still one of the most difficult ones to fully grasp and understand..." Bast muttered to himself as he took a step forward, using his cane to help him walk.

"Shall we go then, my dear Eilidh? Just wait a bit for me, I can't walk too fast right now." Bast said with a sigh and a chuckle.
