Do you think the reason Jesus Christ doesn't rise again is because we keep putting up crosses and he gets flashbacks on how that went last time?

At long last, here is my character sheet for Virgil Ovid Hawkins AKA Static. :D

Character: Virgil Hawkins AKA Static
Age: 15
Appearance:
Powers/Abilities:

Powers

Bang Baby: Virgil’s physiology was altered by a mutant-genetc explosion which resulted in his body adapting unusual powers. His body was able to generate raw electromagnetic energy which he is still just tapping the surface of what he can do.

Super-Conductive Electromagnetism: Virgil can sense sources of electromagnetic energy or objects that can be affected by it such as underground water pipes. He can magnetize and demagnetize metals.

Electromagnetic Fields: Just like the earth and sun do their own, Virgil can also generate his own electromagnetic fields. Currently he can extend it to moderately-powered barriers that enable him to repel and hold back attacks during battle.

Electromagnetic Levitation: Currently something of an experimental/in the works feat of power, Virgil is testing out how he is able to use objects to float on. He found that metal objects are easier, which he is able to use with ease. He’s trying to figure out wood and other materials, but to no avail. At least, as it stands now.

Wavelength Tuning: Virgil is able to hear radio waves which enables him to listen to listen to the Police Radio anywhere he is or even the music stations. He can also tap into phone lines so that he is able to make phone calls at any given moment he feels the need to, provided that he’s near a phone line.

Electrokinesis: Virgil can discharge electricity from his body and administer it in a range of variety of attacks and uses. He can also charge and drain devices as well as project his electricity in a variety of controlled ways.

Electrical Displays: Electromagnetic Light Displays that Static can shoot into the sky in the forms of pictures and words. With more power behind it, Static can make these into Electromagnetic Nets and/or Cage.

Electromagnetic Force Bolts: Static can fire Bursts of electromagnetic energy from his hands for uses like electrifying objects, administering large scale "Static Clings", generating shields and barriers.

Ball Lightning: Named after Ball Lightning, the weather phenomenon. Electromagnetic Energy compressed into a large ball and thrown at targets; an offensive maneuver in a combat situation.

Static Cling: Static can adhere most objects or people to surfaces and other objects, plus Static can magnetize surfaces.

Abilities

Science: Virgil is a very gifted young man with a brillant mind who has a particular interest in maths and sciences. He also has a fan boyish attitude and knowledge of role-playing games, science fiction, and comic books.

Tactical Analysis: Virgil is able to apply his scientific knowledge to battle and real life situations and do so intuitively. This allows him a certain advantage over less-clever opponents.

Multilingualism: Virgil has learned to speak German for unknown reasons and is fluent enough to carry a simply conversation in the language with ease.

Weaknesses:

Strength Level: Even though he has powers over electromageticism, Virgil is still a human and a teenager at that. As such it is, his physical strength level without any augmentations are limited to human level.

Vulnerability to Bang Babies: For completely unknown reasons, Virgil can be harmed by electrical attacks done so by metahumans whose powers originate from the Quantum Juice.

Water: Because of his unique powers, Virgil is prone to have his electricity reserves depleted by water. Now, while small doses don't affect him because he is, after all, still human. However, if he is exposed to large doses of water at once, it will render him virtually powerless for a unspecified amount of time. It could last one minute or one hour. At times, it could even go for a full day. It just depends on how big of a dose of water he is exposed to and how soon he would be able to bounce back from its effects.

Backstory/orgins:

Virgil grew up in the city of Dakota. Much like any other city with urban youth, Dakota City has been ridden with the plague of gangs and the violence that follows them. Virgil lost his mother, Jean Hawkins, to that very violence. Because of that, he harbors a deep hate for anyone even remotely involved with any of the three main gangs that make up the majority of Dakota's gang violence or anyone who has an intention to involve themselves with guns.

If there was one place that was considered the center of all of Dakota's gang turf wars and the violence that follows is a place within the Paris Island district that locals and authorities have rightly titled "Ground Zero." It is, by all accounts, the one place where all three main gangs go to settle their "beef" with each other, be it temporary or permanent. All other times were the former, but one night, they decided to end it once and for all. The hype leading up to this massive gathering was called by Gangsters and reporters "The Great Gathering."

In the day of The Great Gathering, Virgil unwillingly found himself getting involved in the gang life. About two days before The Great Gathering, Virgil was just going to High School, hanging out with his best friend Ritchy Foley, and he saw the school bully, Francis "F-Stop" Stone, harassing his good friend, Frieda Green. Virgil demanded he stop. While he did, F-Stop didn't appreciate Virgil interfering, so he got confrontational with Virg. If it hadn't been for rival gang member, Wade, coming to his rescue, Virgil would have been looking completely different that morning. Of course, F-Stop would see Wade — and Virgil — that very same night.

After Virgil and Frieda thanked Wade, he would pull Virgil aside and tell him to meet him in the abandoned shack underneath the highway at 6'0clock. He stressed that Virgil must not be late. Even though he would protest, he ended up losing to Wade's assertiveness. So, when six o-clock rolled around, Virgil met Wade and to his surprise, he wasn't alone. Wade had his entire crew with him. When Virgil questioned what was going on, Wade explained that tonight was the night that all three gangs were going to face off for the last time and Wade pretty much told Virgil — not asked, but told him — that he was going to help him. Virgil protested against that. Things got heated as one of Wade's men stepped forward as if disrespected, but Wade waved his hand. Wade would then remind Virgil that if he didn't roll with his crew, then he would most likely get targeted by F-Stop and his crew. Virgil didn't say anything. He just nodded as if he admitted defeat on the subject.

As the planning began, Wade would present Virgil with a gun. Of course as one could imagine, Virgil was beside himself. If he were to take the gun, he would be betraying everything that he stood for and as an extension, would betray his own mother, but he was afraid to say no to Wade. So, in that being so, Virgil took the gun.

After an hour of planning, the time came for the plan to spring up into action. Wade's crew — and Virgil — left their hideout and went to the docks where over one-thousand gang members had gathered. This is the event that has been cemented into Dakota City's history as The Great Gathering. Just as it got started, F-Stop saw Wade and his crew, but his attention was fixated on Virgil. Instantly after noticing Virg, he would go after him with a steel pipe in his hand. Virgil ran away from him. F-Stop pursued Virgil, but then a surprise attack came from all fronts: it was the police force. The Great Gathering had been a ruse set up by the Dakota City Police Department. Immediately, hundreds of canisters filled with green-colored gas filled Ground Zero. All of the gang members as well as Virgil ran away in terror. However, what happened next was something that none of them, including Virgil, saw coming.

Suddenly, the canisters acted funny. All of the green-colored gas started to ignite in such a way that it would create a literal green gas cloud that encompassed the entire area of the docks. It was a horrible sight to behold. The gas was toxic. It had strange effects on the gang members instantanously. Some of them exploded upon contact from what Virgil could assume was Tear Gas. Virgil, in fear that it would happen to him too, ran for the water, but as he was running, he tripped over one of the ledges on the docks, and he fell into the water. Little did he know that portions of the Tear Gas got him.

As the next morning came rolling around as quickly as the night ended for Virgil, he welcomed it like he would any other morning. He treated it like he did all mornings — waking up, stretching his arms, and inhaling the cool winds of Dakota's six-thirty air. Once he finishes, he touches his blanket and grips it. He wants to remove the blanket from his body so that he can start getting dressed, but on that very instant that he does, Virgil feels what could only be described as a shock of static electricity. It came to him as a surprise, but it didn't stop there. Suddenly, Virgil found himself being the conduit of static electricity. First it was paper and his blanket sticking to him, but then he began to lure in his bed and eventually his computer screen. This caused Virgil to panic, which came at the worst of times. His sister Sharon knocked on the door to alert him that breakfast was ready. He didn't say anything cause his hands were tied up, which caused her to knock again, but this time a little more aggressively. He responded and that made her leave, but of course she was rather annoyed.

Virgil didn't know what was going on with him and when he went down for breakfast, he tried to conceal it for as long as he could. He was going a good job too because he was able to keep his family from finding out. He ate his breakfast and went to school. On his way to school, he ran into his best friend in the entire world, Ritchie Foley. He confided in his friend told him everything right down to what happened at the docks to what had just happened to him before leaving his house. Ritchie told Virgil that it wasn't just happening to him, but other people around town -- specifically the ones who were at the docks the night before -- were exhibiting weird powers similar to how Virgil was.

Later that day after having some encounters with these people, specifically F-Bomb, who had fire powers and was using it to his advantage to the displeasure of those weaker to him, Virgil and Ritchie went to Virg's house and went to his room almost instantly. Ritchie was estatic for some reason and Virgil asked why. Ritchie responded by saying that he could totally do the whole superhero thing. Virgil looked at him as if he were high, but Ritchie was dead serious. Virgil took the bait and asked what he meant and Ritchie would explain that with his powers, he could be the hero that no one has. He would further explain that with the new rising of metahumans(that's what he called them), it would only be a matter of time before the town becomes worse off than what it was. Virgil agreed, but he didn't have much of a costume selection aside from some of his actual clothes and Ritchie said that would work.

So, after they went through several clothing combinations, Virgil and Ritchie agreed on one. However, there was still the fact that he still didn't have an alias. Every great superhero has one, even the lame ones. After spending almost a whole hour on it, they arrived at the very core of his powers: static electricity. So, it became from that day on, Virgil Ovid Hawkins would be known as the teen superhero Static.

Arc ideas:

1.) "The Truth Will Set You Free"
After establishing himself as a local hero to Dakota, Virgil has garnered a rather positive reputation. He put away crooks who were later labeled "Bang Babies", as they were born from the event known as "The Big Bang". Virgil as Static and Ritchie as Gear took it upon themselves to get to the bottom of what really caused normal people to become Bang Babies. What they uncover may change the foundation of Dakota City forever.

2.) "I Need Help"
Four months after he uncovered the dark, dark truth about the Big Bang and even worse, who was involved in it, Virgil continued his duties of being Static and protecting Dakota City from its criminals. All was going well until they started to organize themselves, specifically Ebon and the Meta-Gang started to think instead of being stupid villains. Because of this, Virgil was ambushed more than once and it became a bother. This made him reach out to a few friends of his who were in the process of establishing their own group known as the Teen Titans.

3.) "I am Static No More"
The death of his best friend Ritchie and his father was too much. Virgil couldn't do it anymore. He gave up the mantel of Static Shock, even with the rising crime rate, he pays no mind. Virgil just can do it anymore. It's going to take someone unexpected to lift his spirits and revive that spark in him that wanted to do the superhero gig in the first place.

Haha, I guess you're right. xD
Dunno how I did it, but I posted twice in one day: once in this rp and once in another. I mean, nowadays, I hardly get more than two posts per week. I know, I'm pathetic. ;A;
Jaakuna couldn’t have been more excited for anything in his entire life. Well, he could if he could get some action with Olette, but she seemed content on remaining friends with him despite his constant advances towards her. It always would result in some kind of pushing back from her or a groin kick from her as well. Really, the more Jaakuna thought about it, Olette really loved touching his privates. If it were anyone else, they would stay away from her, but Jaakuna took that as a sign that she wanted him, but just didn’t know how to say it. Perhaps it would be safer if Jaakuna were like other people, but he just can’t help himself sometimes.

Jaakuna was pretty spacious for a few minutes. It caught Hayner’s attention as he thought Jaakuna would be more into the idea of winning against Olette and Avalon. Even worse, Hayner noticed Jaakuna’s rather odd stare at the only female member of their group. Hayner would wave his hands in front of Jaakuna’s face only to get no results. It wasn’t until the mention of leaving that Jaakuna shook his head and snapped back into reality.

Pence, Avalon, and Olette all left The Usual Spot, but Jaakuna and Hayner were the last ones to leave, but the dirty blonde would pull Jaakuna aside. “You good bro?” Hayner asked, “You seemed a little lost there? Like you were in another universe.” Hayner was genuinely concerned for his friend.

Jaakuna laughed, and would bring Hayner’s head under his arm and he smiled in a goofy manner. “Of course I am bro.” He said, “now let’s go exploring~” Jaakuna said as he and Hayner followed the group.

They joined up just in time to hear Avalon mention that they should bring some kind of weapons. Since they had to go through the forest, it only made sense. Jaakuna agreed and the rest of the group agreed as well. Though Jaakuna would smack Avalon lightly over the head about his comment about the…imaginary tentacle creatures. “What’s that for? I was telling the truth.” Jaakuna said as he heard laughing from the rest of the group. “I WAAAS!” He said in an elevated voice.

“Whatever you say, Jaakuna.” Hayner said chuckling.

Jaakuna huffed, but let the subject go. He wanted to focus on the important matter at hand and that was the weapons they were going to get. “Where do you suppose we get these weapons, Avalon? If you hadn’t noticed, we don’t exactly fit the bill for swordsmen or anything of the sort.” Jaakuna said.
In Cerden’s room, which is the highest room, in the Viper Inn, approximately seven miles away from where the Basilisk inn was at, he and Flora sit at a table overlooking the city. The heat is hot as always, but for some reason Cerden finds comfort in that. It’s almost as if he welcomes the hotness of Agrabah. He does so while sipping some ice-cold lemonade. Across from him also sipping some ice-cold lemonade is his ex-wife and current traveling partner, Flora. She too just looks out at the window and she too welcomes the heat just like Cerden does.

“So, Shinto told us to stay hidden, right?” Cerden asked, sipping his lemonade.

“Uh-huh.” Flora responded, doing the same as Cerden.

“Then, I guess we can keep doing what we’re doing.”

It was as if some kind of sedative was injected into their bodies. Flora and Cerden seemed more relaxed than some drugged out junkie. They were just admiring the view that they had of the city and sipping some refreshing lemonade. It may be true that they’re trying to relax as much as they could, but the truth of the matter is that they’re more terrified than they ever have been. The two of them knew that if they were to go outside and make themselves public, then Nomis would no find them and what Shinto and Dominic did for them would all be in vain. They hated it, but they had to stay hidden until they knew it was safe for them to be outside again.

As they tried to swallow any kind of pride that they may or may not have had left, Cerden heard something. He instantly jumped from his seat and took a look around the city. He heard the sound of metal and any time he heard that sound, it never was a good sign. He knew that it always meant that Nomis was up to no good.

“What’s wrong?” Flora asked.

Cerden waved his hand as if hushing her. Flora huffed silently. He was trying to concentrate on where exactly in the city. His eyes came to the east of the city where he saw little specs that he could have sworn looked a lot like the floating eye machines of Nomis’. It was just then that he heard the wolf-like machines howl a very threatening and often scary howl. It was with that it confirmed Cerden’s fear. Nomis had sent his machines.

“Shit, shit, shit.” Cerden repeated.

“What is it?” Concerned, Flora asked.

“Nomis sent his machines.” Cerden responded.

A brief gasp of fright escaped Flora’s lips. “Are you sure?”

“Oh I’m sure. Nomis and I share a strong bond and I just know when his toys are involved.”

Flora tightened her fists, and proceeded to slam them into the brown wooden table, breaking it in the process. Cerden looked at her. He said nothing. Flora stood up and looked out the window as she stood next to Cerden. She couldn’t get a good handle on where they were. “We need to see what they’re doing.” Flora said.

Cerden looked at her. “But Shinto said…”

“Fuck what Shinto said! Those machines are going to tear this city apart if we don’t do something. They’ll find us either way. Wouldn’t you rather we just go to them than them coming to us?”

"I do, but…”
Cerden hesitated.

“But what? You’re not scared are you?” Flora asked Cerden as she looked at him. She could tell that there was something going on inside his mind.

“No, I’m not scared.” Cerden said firmly. “I just…I just don’t want you to get hurt again.” He said.

Flora was speechless…again. This time, however, she was speechless that Cerden actually said something nice and not in a sarcastic manner. Her face started to get red from the hotness that was this moment. She shook her head. “Me get hurt? Last time we got into trouble, you were the one who was unconscious. “ She said, referring to the time that Caleb beat the holy hell out of Cerden.

Cerden laughed. “Fine, I’ll give you that one, but seriously, Flora.” Cerden grabbed her left hand with his right. “You’re too precious to me now. I don’t want to see you get hurt, even if I know that you can take it.”

If Flora’s face wasn’t red before, it sure as hell was now. “Don’t be silly.” She said looking at Cerden, “I’ll be long gone before anyone tries to hurt me.” She said, killing the mood.

Cerden sighed. “Fine, let’s go already.”

Even though her words killed the mood, Flora’s heart was beating faster than it had ever been. She truly felt his love right then and there. He was precious to her too.

The sounds from the outside were nearly muted as Shinto tried to gather a sense of self. Taking the time to warn Flora and Cerden took most of the strength that he had left. Even though he felt much pain from the multiple lacerations on his body, Shinto felt the most pain from Nomis when he tried to get some kind of reaction from the blonde male by poking his body.

Shinto was conscious enough to see what was going on around him and he also saw Nomis, Caleb, and hooded figures around the lab. He also saw, right next to him, Dominic was still unconscious, as that was to be expected. He remembered seeing that Domi had taken quite the amount of damage from Nomis’ attack, specifically on his head. Shinto saw Nomis approach Dominic and he smeared some black stuff on the gash that was on his friend’s forehead. Shinto didn’t have to be a rocket scientist to figure out what it was. Nomis had smeared some of the taint on his friend’s body. As to what that was for, Shinto couldn’t say for certain. It couldn’t be a good thing, though.

Nomis started talking, first about how much of an annoyance that their arrival was. Shinto tried to laugh, but it hurt when he did. He could feel the pain from his feet all the way to his mouth. He ended up coughing up a little blood cause of it. Nomis then went on to say that one of them would actually be able to help them. Shinto didn’t know what Nomis meant by that, but before he would even get a chance to ask, the tables in which Shinto and Dominic were bound to came free from their legs and they were being controlled by Nomis as they traveled behind him as he would walk.

As Nomis proceeded around his lab, he would actually then leave his precious lab only to go a level down into a room that was as empty as the heart the pumped Nomis’ wicked blood. It wasn’t long after Nomis entered the room that he forced the table that Shinto was on into what seemed like a very small jail cell. Shinto felt some pain as he was forced into the small cell. However, just as he was going to get used to the idea of being strapped to the table, it would reformat itself into chain-like bindings. Shinto was facing the open door to which Nomis had just left, but Caleb stayed behind to stand watch in case Shinto tried anything.

As he at least would try to get used to his current position, Shinto looked at Caleb who was just looking directly at him with the dirtiest of looks. “Stuck with guard duty huh?” Shinto said trying to smile.

Caleb just stayed silent, not wanting to give Shinto any sort of satisfaction.

“Not going to talk? That’s fine. I can go all day like this, granted my injuries don’t kill me beforehand.” Shinto said, adding in some kind of humor into his situation. “You must really have it in for your pops and moms, huh? I mean, to actually trust Nomis this much, that must be the reason huh?” Shinto kept on talking. He wanted to get some kind of reaction out Caleb, but by the looks of it, the boy wasn’t budging. “You’re really not going to respond to any of that? Come on, kid! You must have some kind of opinion or something or does your crazy uncle decide everything for you?”

On the mention of his uncle, Caleb quickly approached Shinto’s cell with an angry look on his face. By the time he had gotten to it, his hands were on the bars and he just smiled. “Thought I was that easy to anger? Nice try, but better luck next time.” Caleb said smiling at Shinto. “I have to admit, for a while there you and the idiot had me. I thought you two would somehow get out of this ship with me in your possession, but that plan failed, now didn’t it? You two are now our prisoners and what you were feeling isn’t even going to come close to what we have planned for you.” Caleb said as he turned his back on Shinto.

“And what makes you think getting caught wasn’t the plan?"

“Cause only a fool would intentionally get caught.”

“A fool? Perhaps, but maybe — just maybe — you’re uncle is the fool.”

Caleb looked back with curious eyes. “Care to elaborate?”

Shinto laughed as he now had Caleb’s attention at least. “I could, but maybe you could answer some things for me.” Shinto said.

“I see how this is going to go: I answer your questions, you evade mine, and somehow I feel for you and I let you out. Is that what’ you’re planning?” Caleb asked him.

“Whoa there Mr. Paranoid. I’m just wanting to know a few things, nothing about you letting me out…unless you’re offering?”

“Oh fuck you.”

Shinto smiled and chuckled. “So, about my questions…”

“Fine, what do you want to know?”

“It’s really just one question. What has he told you about your mother?”
Shinto had to tread carefully. One mishap, and he just might find himself in a worst position than he is currently.

“My mother? I don’t have one, or at least not anymore. She died when I was born.”
“Is that what he told you? Figures. Nomis wants to erase any doubt in the hold he has on you.”

“What do you mean?”

“Caleb, do I really need to spell it out for you?”
Shinto said as he sighed, “your mother is alive and well.”

“You’re lying -- you have to be. My uncle would never keep something like that from me.” Caleb said in an elevated voice.

“Oh really? What could I possibly lose if I were lying to you? I’m bound to this cell and you’re my only company, while you’re dear, and sweet uncle has everything to lose. If he sensed that you had any doubt about what he said was the truth, he would panic and act rashly — perhaps even violently — towards his servants and even you.”

Caleb then froze. Shinto, for a reason unknown to young Caleb, knew exactly how Nomis acted when asked certain questions. Caleb instantly flashbacked to when he brought up the subject of his mother and father. He remembered how defensive and angry that Nomis got when Caleb asked him about his mother. The look on young Caleb’s face was, if nothing else, slight doubt in what his uncle has told him over the years of training him and grooming him into the man that he grew up to be.

Shinto saw Caleb’s face, but the boy didn’t stay long after that. He rushed out of the room and would head towards where Shinto saw Nomis head with Dominic. “And the seed has been planted..”

It’s so cold. I can’t see anything.

Darkness all around, he couldn’t see anything. He could feel the cold walls as he would touch them with his fingers, but he couldn’t tell whether or not he was facing the exit or entrance. Everything to him was blinding. He yelled and yelled, but no one came to him, no one answered his cries. He even pounded on the walls -- the very walls that he couldn’t make heads or tails from. He tried anything to get out this small space he was in, but he couldn’t. The darkness concealed him in more ways than one.

As he was about to give up on all hope, the boy within the cage saw, for the first time in months, light. It came from behind him as what he thought was apart of the wall opened up and there, a woman with long, crimson-red hair stood in the way of the light. Her green eyes brought such comfort to him. It was a warm feeling he got from her. However, the look upon her face was anything but. She had high disgust on her face, and hand was raised. The boy looked confused. He didn’t understand why this woman was so cruel to him and yet he felt nothing but love for her. He just didn’t understand.

“Look at you. You’re pathetic. Crying, screaming, pounding. You make me sick.” The woman said as she literally pulled the boy’s arm, causing him to levitate in the air. Well, maybe it was more like dangle in the air like a doll. The boy was surprisingly light for his age. A boy with as red as hair as the woman who he feels love for, as if she were his mother.

Taking the boy, she almost threw him onto a steel chair that was set around a table. She sat down on the couch next to a rather good-looking man with hair as white as the snow in the winter time. His eyes were of a darkish blue shade. His face was a welcoming face. “Listen here you little shit, beha--”

“Now, now Nicole, no need for such hostility.” The man spoke.

“Oh yes, I’m sorry sir..”

“It’s fine, but you may leave us.”

“But sir..”

“You may leave us…now.”

That last word struck fear into Nicole’s heart. She knew that to question him would also be questioning The Organization.

“Now, let’s chat.” The man said.

“Um, okay. What about, mister?” The kid asked.

“About you of course. You’re very special, you know that right?” He said with the most welcoming smile.

“Me special?”

“That’s right.” He responded, smiling sill. “You may not know this, but your father comes from — well, how should I put this? — a line of special people, and I believe you get that from him."

“My father? He’s not with us anymore. Mommy says he went to join the angels up in heaven.”

“Ah, that he is” The man in front of him looked almost sad at that statement.

“What’s wrong mister?” The kid asked.

“It’s nothing. Just remembering an old friend.” He said as he shook it off and then he stood up. “So, Dominic, do you want to come with me so you can find out how special you really are?” The man stood up and extended his hand.

“What about mommy?” Dominic asked as he looked back at his mom who was in the kitchen.

“Don’t worry about her. She has given you permission to go on an adventure.” He said.

“Well, if mommy said it’s okay.” Dominic said as he took the man’s hand, but he hesitated.

“What’s wrong?”

“Mommy told me not to go with strangers, even if I do have her permission."

“Of course. You can call me Razor.”

Suddenly, Dominic found himself with his eyes open, feeling what could only be described as a raw, immeasurable pain. He saw that it was Nomis hovering over him and he couldn’t place it, but there was definitely something up with Nomis, more than usual. There was also the fact that Dominic couldn’t move his body. It wasn’t that there was something controlling him or anything like that. He was bound to a table and he suspected this had to do with Nomis’ taint metal.

Struggling to get free, Dominic wasn’t having any luck. He spent a good minute or two trying to bust free, but just wasn’t having it. Dominic then remembered something. It was pretty important and the fact that it had slipped his mind made him mentally-slap himself. He remembered having a rather large gash on his head, and he should be dead cause of it, but for some reason he isn’t. On the contrary, it’s as if he’s on the way to full-recovery.

“What did you do to me? Why am I not dead?” Dominic demandingly asked Nomis. He knew that creepy asshole did something to him.

I have to agree with Mr Allen J, technically darkness manipulation is the manipulation of nothing. The above sounds very 'anime'-esque which is a feel I'm definitely trying to avoid. I should also forewarn you I have a certain dislike towards most standard interpretations of darkness manipulation so you're going to have a tough sell on your hands if you do go the quoted route.

I was only using tendrils and the like as example of the general usage. Perhaps it wasn't the best example to sell my case, but this idea is also just something I was curious of what it fell under and whether or not it would be an allowed version/viable for usage. Probably going to have to scrap it then. Even if I do, I have a few other ideas that I think could work.
@Altered Tundra

Depends how you play it I would say. What are the specifics of the characters powers?

Things like conjuring up shadow tendrils, being able to fade into the shadows and transport through said shadows. I was thinking something along the lines of the Nara Clan from Naruto but a little more advanced and wide-spread.
I'm having an idea for a character with shadow manipulation, but I don't know which classification it would fall under?
