Character Appearance; How do you do it?

I used to use pictures only, but nowadays I only use pics if I can't get the proper description down. Hell, I still do descriptions for those details that aren't shown in the picture, like specific scars or markings on my character's body. Honestly, I'm finding myself being able to come up with more detailed descriptions of my characters in recent months, which I guess is a good thing. xD

That moment when you're really into a rp -- and I mean like really obsessed about what the next stage or story arc will be -- and the GM decides to "put it on hold" cause they "lost their motivation". It's like a ton of bricks sinking you to the bottom of the sea with the sight of light quickly leaving your line of sight.

@Prisk, I am about halfway done with my character. Didn't get a chance to work on him yesterday cause I had to clean help clean the house because our landlord is going to come inspect the house before we sign a year-lease. So, I'll be working more on my character today. Hoping to get him done by Sunday at the latest.
