@Piercing Light Well, that's good to hear. If anything, this has probably set the rp back on course. Still, @SoleAccord shouldn't have said what he did. Maybe it was poor wording on his part or something else, but to our knowledge, the rp was put on hold(our meaning Anorgos and Myself), so we had no way of knowing that the 2-month inactivity rule was still in effect. If we did, we would have at least posted once each in the two months. I know Sole said that Anarchy and myself have nothing to worry about, but still.

Reijo sat down at the low table where Luscious had sat down as well, prepared for the diplomatic meeting that was about to commence - it had always been the same with these meetings. An informal (but still, awkward) greeting where they'd talk for a minute about their families, before switching rooms and talking business.

“So, we finally begin. I apologize for Yamato. But you know him by now,” Reijo said, with a small gesture, a wave of the hand or something resembling that. His face didn't exactly follow the words he said, as he obviously didn't feel sorry for what Yamato had said or how he contradicted Luscious. In truth, Reijo didn't like the Reikan's either. It wasn't so much a thing of hate, as much as it was simply that he didn't like clans with kekkei genkai - curses of god. But alas, Konoha had plenty of them and to rise politically, like he had before, and keep rising, like he was doing now, you had to forge alliances. “.. a lot of bark. Thankfully, he does bite. Bite harder than he barks, might I add.” A grin played on the lips of Reijo, however it was subtle. Luscious had probably known Reijo longer than today however, and could most likely pick up on it.

"Ah yes, your Yamato has indeed garnered himself a reputation of being a bit of a hothead, but with all the changes lately, perhaps a little glimpse of the spirit of old heroes.'' Luscious said, leaning back into his chair, having the usual half-arrogant, half-confident grin he had been known to have.

As he looked at Reijo, Luscious kept his grin, but in his mind he had many thoughts running through his mind, specifically on why exactly Reijo chose today of all days to set up the meeting and why he chose the Reikan Clan to be the one to be apart of diplomatic relations with the Minamoru Clan. ”Before we begin, I was hoping you could indulge in my curiosity, Rejio and answer me why you decided to reach out to the Reikan Clan? Everyone in the Leaf knows how you Minamorus despise those with Kekkei Genkais. And yet, you're here engaging in a diplomatic meeting with one of the clans who have one of the greatest Kekkei Genkais that ever existed. I am both intrigued and confused.” Luscious said.

Reijo would lean back a bit to think over his answer. He'd wait a brief moment before answering the man honestly, as the mans concern was quite a valid one. “My political answer would be that I would prefer to be amongst the first to reach out to you, Luscious,” he said with a business like tone, carefully picking his words as he moved through the sentence. 

“.. your kekkei genkai is not the worst. You are not an Uchiha, who struggle with the curse of hatred even after that cycle was broken. Not a Hyuga, who have gone mad with power and think themselves above us. You are.. no offense meant.. small. There is no threat in your kekkei genkai, not directly anyway. In the case of a mad Reikan, Konohagakure could deal with it quite well. You're not a liability, Luscious. Besides all that, well, a clan needs allies, and I'd prefer you over the Uchiha or Hyuga. Many small fists can kill a God.”

His hand curled into a fist in front of him, showcasing what he meant with this. Many small clans can deal with the Uchiha and Hyuga's, said to be the fathers of all clans. Even though the cycle had been broken by Naruto and Sasuke, Reijo was still skeptical of the Uchiha. A kekkei genkai so powerful.. no, not a kekkei genkai. A curse.. it could only instill hatred, no matter what history said about it. 

Luscious chuckled at Reijo’s words as a smirked was cracked on his face.  He could tell that Reijo held such hate for those who have supposedly “gone out of control” with not only their “curse” as Reijo put it, but also their opinion to the other clans in the village. But that wasn’t what Luscious found the most amusing. It was Reijo’s overall tone. 

”Reijo, let me tell you a story about the Reikan Clan. ” Luscious’ tone took a more serious turn, ”I‘m sure you have heard the stories about where my clan originated from and how we were remnants of the Land of Water‘s wartorn state at the time. And I‘m also sure you are familiar with how, at the time, the head of the clan and his son did battle and the son won and becoming the new head of the clan? This is how it was for generations to come, but it didn’t stop at my ancestors. My father did it to his and his father to his. It’s a secret tradition that only a few know about. ” Luscious said, explaining something that has yet to become clear. ”Do you know why I am telling you this?”

“Because you fear I'll go bored with your presence, Luscious?” Reijo said, an obvious joke indicating that he was somewhat interested, although he didn't see the connection to kekkei genkai's. “Jokes aside, I assume it's to ensure that the next generation always surpasses the last. To make your clan stronger than it was before.”

Luscious laughed, ”You’re half right. This tradition was set in place to make sure the Reikan name would live on, but there‘s another reason,” Luscious’ voice went silent, his body language not hinting towards anything. Luscious’ eyes went to Reijo and for a moment, Reijo would feel such a chilling feeling in the air it would feel like they were in an absolute zero field. ”It‘s to ensure that the ways of the Fourth  Mizukage are not forgotten.”

“So.. a trial by combat. From the fourth Mizukage? Sounds interesting, but you'd best not forget you live in Konohagakure now, Luscious. Well, I can't tell you how to do these things.. if you wish to die at Rex' hands.” That just means one less kekkei genkai user for me to worry about.. later. Reijo would now lean forwards and place his hands on the table, raising one eyebrow at the man. “I don't see how that impacts the deal I want to make, Luscious. Get to the point.”

”We are a lot of alike, Reijo. We both rule our respective clans with absolute authority and if our children get out of line, what’s a little smack here and there going to really do? ” Luscious found humor in that as a laugh and a smile cracked on his face. ”As for what it has to do with this deal of ours, I believe likeminded individuals tend to have a better time talking about possible deals when they share similarities. Wouldn't you agree, Reijo?”

Hmph. Was this man serious or was he trying to get at Reijo? He feigned a smile at the man, thinking they were similar.. they couldn't be further apart. Reijo, a man blessed with a pure bloodline.. and then Luscious, cursed by god. They were nothing alike and not a thing in this world could change that for Luscious, no matter how much he'd want to be alike with Reijo. “Sure, Luscious. Now, about that deal of mine.. I was thinking we could form a regular alliance. Nothing fancy. Just to make sure, if those Uchiha or Hyuga ever try anything in Konoha, at least we're secured together. Furthermore.. those Naito dogs will come at my clan now or later, and I'd rather have someone at my back than at theirs. One of these days.. that dog Daiki will come for my Yamato, and I'll make sure that Daiki gets torn to bits by him. Perhaps Rin will stand at his side.. what do you say?”

”I think that‘s fair enough” Luscious leaned forward slightly, shifting his position in his chair, ”Though, about the Naitos. It is my understanding that one of them — Daiki was it? — Already came at your Yamato and that he might have lost his cool and done something that he’d otherwise regret if that Maru kid and Hideyoshi‘s younger brother hadn‘t stepped in.” Perhaps Luscious was stepping on thin ice, but his information was accurate. Rex had informed Luscious of that as it was a hot topic with the village a couple of weeks ago.

Reijo was slightly annoyed that this topic had become the 'talk of the town' but it couldn't be helped. Not that he was annoyed due to that Yamato was involved, it was more so that.. it happened on his property without his consent. Damn that clown-child. “Yes, I've had run ins with the Maru clan before.” That was about all Reijo was going to say, as his 'less than legal' affairs weren't meant for everyone's ears. That and the Maru's were quite proficient shinobi who had attempted to implicate him more than once. “I'll just say this; if that Shin boy, who I've spoken with recently, hadn't stopped Yamato and Daiki.. there'd be one less Naito to worry about. Ofcourse, nothing lethal,” That's a lie. he mentally added there, but he kept his cool about him and didn't seem any different from normal. “Just a friendly spar. Daiki initiated it.. after all.”

”With the bad blood that runs between your clan and the Naito clan, I‘d hardly call it a friendly spar.” Luscious laughed, ”But regardless what it was or what people may call it, I‘m sure my Rin would be more than happy to be by your son‘s side,” He feigned a smile. He knew that his daughter wouldn’t happily stand beside Yamato. If Luscious wished it, Rin would stand naked on a street corner. Of course, Luscious wouldn’t do that cause he isn’t that cruel…yet. ”That is, of course, if your Yamato withholds his temper of being in the presence of — what did you call it? — someone with the curse of god.” A laugh escaped Luscious’ mouth, ”Who knows, Reijo. If this alliance of ours works out, there could even be talks of joining our clans with my Rin and your Yamato holding hands in holy matrimony ” 

“I don't think that will happen, Luscious. Yamato is bound to marry within the next year. However, your Rex, and my Rei.. who knows. She's a bit too young now, however. We'll discuss later. Either way, Yamato can hold his temper. He's not as bad as they make him out to be - kid has some good political sense in him too, unlike Daiki, who seems to grab every moment he can to spite Yamato. Of course, Yamato is portrayed as a bad kid, but that's just jealousy.. so, the deal is sealed, and we have an alliance then?”

Rex and Rei? While Luscious was a fan of marriages combining two clans -- especially if one of them are of high value -- Luscious didn’t like the idea of handing his oldest off to some schoolgirl, let alone one as superficial as Rei Minamoru.  Of course, Luscious would make it his mission to find a suitable mate for his oldest and as well as his second-oldest, Yukino. At least, if the latter would show some kind of initiative of wanting to carry on the Reikan name. Luscious stood up, smiling. ”It‘s a deal, Reijo. Luscious said, holding out his hand for a handshake, ”I look forward to our alliance.” Luscious happily said with a genuine smile on his face.

Takute The Impure(An Impure Wanting; Takute Fujun’na)

“A sword that never really ends, and never ceases to thirst for blood. Corpses will line the path of the swordsmen that wield Takute and they shall walk it readily.”

Appearance[/hider

While it may not hold a shade of blood anywhere within its form, Takute is the very essence of bloodshed. It’s a katana of larger-than-normal size. It had a hilt of white and red shade and a circular guard. The blade, while having been soaked with the blood of man, holds no color of sanguine. It holds the vibrant colors of nature; of the blues and greens of the earth and sea. It is the epitome of craftsmanship. If one were to look closely, they would see chakra itself swirl on the silver tints of the blade. It has a slightly curved edge.

The Sheath that comes with Takute is one that prevents the sword in question from unleashing its terrible might at every given moment. It’s this simply black sheath. Along the sheath, there is an incantation for a seal of placed on it:

“Fujunbutsu o hakki suru ni wa, buredo to tamashi no kyoka ga jitsugen sa renakereba narimasen(To unleash the impurity, a fortification of blade and soul must be realized.)”

This is the only condition that the blade itself requires. It’s user must have a fortified determination. It is only through this can Takute be fully utilized.

personality

Presumed to hold the darkest of man’s nature within it, Takute, according to the legend, hungers and thirsts for blood spilled and cries out to be let loose on all of those who it deems weak. As a manifestation of the hundreds and hundreds of lives slain at the hands of its user, Takute has developed its own living will, only communicating with anyone who touches it. Its thoughts are projected telepathically. Of those who have spoke of Takute’s living will, most cite it being vulgar and often authoritative to its user. Some claimed it had no remorse for those its blade had slain.

However, with Tanko, it seems to be a different variety. Takute, while maintaining the majority of its violent mannerisms and profanity, the sword seems to have a certain amount of respect for Tanko. Though it still wishes to taste the sweet aroma of live blood, Tanko has made it martial law that the only blood that Takute will ever taste would be that of the one(s) responsible for his clan’s genocide. It is because of that very reason that Takute does not fight Tanko on wanting others’ blood. He also has a bit of a complaining streak when it comes to that very subject.

history of Takute The Impure

A sword utilized by many over the years, but currently is wielded by the last remaining member of the Kokaganken Clan. This Katana has sowed tales of bloodshed and aggression, told to be the weapon of demons. Tukute The Impure has carved a corpse-filled path under the handling of its many masters, driven by a desire to spill the sanguine essence of innocents. Growing and evolving each time it is passed down from swordsmen to swordsmen.

When all there existed was war, there were groups of men and women that, to present day would be known as the slain Kokaganken Clan, longed for the bloodshed to stop. Those that lived in the plains saw that their homelands tuned into harsh battlefields; all within it holding little regard for life. These groups of men sought to forge a weapon that would allow them to defend themselves and end all war from thereon with it. So, magicians, master blacksmiths, and many shinobi worked to gather the finest ores and metals, bringing them back to the forge. As the tale goes on, the completion of the blade — a sword that carried more than one thousand others — would be the end of all bloodshed. This weapon would be passed down from master to master within the Kokaganken Clan, crushing any who strike against the peace-loving innocents.

However, all would not rest well.

Takute The Impure was forged for peace, but all it had ever known was battle. Bloodletting was in its nature. What else was a sword to do but fight? The residual hate manifested a dark will within the katana, drawing on its users to possess ill will and malefic hate over time. It was, one day, that the forge masters of Takute met and declared that the use of it was forbidden and that the sword should be destroyed; lest it fall into the wrong hands.

This outcry was challenged by the then master of the weapon. Taking it upon himself, the infamous swordsman took Takute and slew all of those that helped forge the blade or heard of its creation. Sewing countless corpses on the ground, at last the very weapon built for peace was transformed into the harbinger of destruction. Lost throughout history and passed down from swordsmen to swordsmen, the Harbinger of Destruction, the ender of men, and the Impure Blade fell into the hands of a young teen(at the time) by the name of Tankoishi of the Kokaganken Clan. When the two met, Tanko was barely fifteen. Takute sensed Tanko’s bloodlust and longing for revenge. It was the same for Tanko. He knew of the blade’s history, but he sought after it anyways. His lust for revenge was so great that the two came to an understanding. Takute would help Tanko with revenge and Takute would be able to taste blood. However, what either of them realized was that this partnership was permanent as they both seemed to complete each other.

Fighting Style Ryujin Yoshiki(Dragon God Style; Demon Wielding Style)

Description:
The Ryujin Style or the Dragon God Style is an immensely and deadly kenjutsu style developed to allow a single practitioner to defeat numerous enemies single-handedly. Practitioners of this style use a combination of superhuman speed and agility while in an advanced Iaido stance. The user makes use of observation-based pseudo-clairvoyance in order to avoid the attacks of their opponents by the least possible margin and with the least possible effort in order to place themselves in the perfect position to strike in the very instant the opponent’s strike misses. By doing so, they stress two-step attacks in order to ensure that any and all that oppose it are thoroughly slain. Due to the immense power and energy used during the style, many who have seen this style come to believe that the user is some sort of sword-wielding demon. As a result of this misconception, it has often been called the Demon-Wielding Style.

Ryujin Style requires the user to be in good shape and well-disciplined and above all else, high amounts of stamina and endurance. Practitioners of this style also seem to have a much higher understanding of kenjutsu of different styles and are able to easily predict their foe’s movements. The user can also move in a way that allows them to almost always know exactly what moves their foe or foes are going to use by making their opponent move in a certain way so that their moves aren’t just predicted, but known. This means that the user can know what their foe’s next couple of moves are going to be. A draw back to this style is that they are strenuous to the user and can hurt them if not used wisely.

Description: One of the secret techniques of the Ryujin Style, this technique utilizes the sheer power granted by the Ryujin Style. The user flows Chakra-Enhanced Strength throughout their entire body and channels it into the hilt of their katana. Then, just as quickly as the technique had been prepared, they strike at their opponent in the skull. Mere seconds from contact being made, the user releasess tenketsu in their arms and hands to increase the overall impact of force. Normally, when hit with that much force, the head would split open, leaving the brain exposed and it would crack in half as well, thus killing the opponent.
Weakness: Due to the risk that the user weighs while using this technique, there is a severe drawback of it failing and the user being pretty much useless with any kind of chakra technique. Since this requires most of the overall chakra reserves of the user, if it misses, the user will be extremely exhausted.

Description: Considered to be one of the strongest techniques of the Ryujin Style, Soaring Dragon Strike is performed while a normal strike is performed by drawing the katana from its sheath on one side while stepping forward with the opposite foot. This strike adds yet another step mid-draw with the leading foot adjacent to the sheath.

This endangers the user by possibly putting the adjacent leg into the free sword’s path and draws one even closer to an opponent’s sword than usual, but on the other hand, it boosts both the power and speed of the enhanced Iaido swing. This technique allows the user to be able to step into the small margin behind one’s own drawn sword and in front of the sword of one’s opponent without fail, delivering a beyond-godspeed blow of monstrous power. Like other Iaido moves of the Ryujin Style, Soaring Dragon Strike is a two-step move and if its secret should be anticipated and the strike itself blocked or dodged, the second step immediately comes into effect. The immense force of the enhanced draw cuts the air in front of it and creates a powerful vacuum in its wake as the deflected air rushes back into place. Any opponent to deflect or dodge the first swing will automatically be subject to this vacuum and inexorably pulled closer to the user, all the while this vacuum creates intense winds powerful enough to overwhelm and catch their opponents off-balance.

When the great amount of force being applied to the technique, a missed swing naturally leads into an accelerated spin. The added momentum of the spin in addition to the pulling force of the vacuum on both sides results in a second strike that greatly dwarfs the first in power. As a result, the target would be flung into the air by the powerful strike and comes crashing down to the ground. To date, no one has yet to survive being hit with this technique.

Weakness: The most perfect of concentration is needed. Even if there is one misstep, the technique can backfire severely and the user could quite possibly lose their life as a result…or worse.

Description: Ryu no Kosho is both a defensive and offensive-type of technique of the famed Ryujin Style. To pull this off, the user must have a good amount of strength, chakra control, and precision as this technique is considered to be one of the Ryujin Style’s more advanced techniques.

By observing the target, the user matches the exact breathing pattern of the foe and channels chakra to one of their dominant hand’s fingers. Then, as the foe strikes, the user is able to catch and absorb the impact of the strike with the mid-section of their finger. The user will then bring the top half of their finger to the target’s weapon causing the absorbed strike to be redirected to the target as slashing damage back at the foe.
Weakness: Complete chakra control is essential for this technique to go without a hitch. Complete concentration is also needed.

Then, as the foe strikes, the user will place their open hand on their blade just as the opponent’s sword comes in for that strike, causing all of the chakra in the sword to be released, which in turn causes the foe’s strike to be nullified.
Weakness: Just as with Ryu no Kosho, the aspect of complete chakra control and concentration is needed for this technique to be successful.
