Do you think the reason Jesus Christ doesn't rise again is because we keep putting up crosses and he gets flashbacks on how that went last time?

I've been lurking a bit too long, so I suppose it's time that I weigh on this. Now, whether or not this thread has run its course or not is not a concern to me. I just want to give my two cents.

Free
I've never dabbled in Free. Nothing against those who do, but I just never saw myself as a free roleplayer. I like my RPs to move at decent pace but nothing that exceeds 3-4 pages every day. That's too fast for Tundy.

Casual
Like Haley, Casual is my home as well. A majority of my current roleplays, as well as the roleplays I've done in my 5+ years here, have been conducted in casual. Of course, there's a small handful of RPs I've been apart of that were in Advanced. I just feel as though my writing style, expectations, and overall comfortability falls within the casual section.

Advanced
I've dabbled here a few times. Nowadays, there isn't much of a difference than casual. The only significant difference that I've noticed is the overwhelming amount of fantasy and sci-fi games as opposed to the more modern, slice-of-life-y games seen in casual. One of these days I will return to Advanced.

Arena
My first taste of roleplaying was roleplay battles, which Arena focuses on. And honestly? I would like to return to it someday. I miss doing straight up RPBs. I don't mind doing them in action rps, but just writing up battles and not having to worry about story progression has been something I've missed greatly.

1x1
I love the 1x1 section. Some of my favorite RPs have been done within this section/format of RPing. And where groups fail, I can always count on my 1x1 roleplays.

Nation
I've never RP'd here once. And I don't think I ever will. It's simply not my cup of tea.

Tabletop
Same for Nation. It's not my cup of tea, so I don't see a point in going to that section.

One thing that Kavi Salvador learned during the first week of senior year was that, contrary to King’s Academy’s ‘no tolerance’ rule to bullying, he didn’t receive any real punishment for how he may have treated Elijah Abrams. Not that Kavi felt he deserved any punishment. In his opinion, he did nothing wrong. The Jewish teen was the one who threw the first punches, but Kavi knew not to push his luck, so he gave Eli a sort of break from the usual, daily torture of his company. Besides, Kavi was too busy actually trying not to land in detention in the first week of the school year. It would look particularly unsavory on his college applications if he had a few dozen trips to detention on his record.

As soon as Friday came around - or more specifically - the end of the school day on the start of the first weekend, Kavi couldn’t wait to get the fuck out of that place for the next two and a half days. As far as he was concerned, school didn’t matter. This was especially true when the horizon of that party everyone had been going on about all day. Initially, Kavi wasn’t going to go. Lord knew that he couldn’t stand that overconfident asswipe, Santiassgo, but when he started hearing murmurs about who exactly was attentending (A.K.A. everyone who mattered in the senior class), he quickly changed his tune. He had no idea if the other misfits would attend. It wouldn’t be a terrible thing if he managed to see them at the party, but he had his own ride. Despite Sonny telling him he would be picking most of them up on his way, the Polynesian male had his own ride.

Surprise surprise. His ride happened to be his own car. Imagine that right? Kavi actually would want to use his own vehicle. Besides, Sonny was likely to use that beaten up truck he liked flinging around town. Kavi would rather arrive stag as opposed to being seen in that hunk of junk. No, Kavi would be driving his own Lexus that was, of course, top of the line for someone his age. His parents didn’t make mega money like most of the rich fuckers in Crown Heights, but it was a good 90K (cost wise) kind of vehicle. Easily something his parents didnt mind getting for him. He just had to pay the insurance.

At some point, Kavi pulled up to Santiago’s home, which was obviously his parents’ money, not the glorified dumbfuck. God, if there was anyone that Kavi wouldn’t mind see get deported back to whatever third country he crawled out of, it would be Santiago. For now, however, he’d just give the best fake, grateful greeting to the party’s host.

After spending just one moment of doing that, however, Kavi, who was wearing a pair of red swimming shorts and a black tank top, made his way over to the refreshments table. As it would happen, he saw someone else had beaten him to it. It only took him a few moments of seeing her turn to face him (by coincidence, of course), he saw who it was. “Hey, Ariel,” Kavi smiled towards her, letting his smile do all the talking, completely ignoring Jordan. “You’re looking great in that two-piece.” Kavi poured himself a glass of vodka while offering to refill hers.

As the onslaught of his firaja streams broke through the darkness of Rio’s dome of darkness, Jaakuna was pleased to not only see that his attack had worked in the best of ways, but when he glanced over at Emiri, she wasn’t in as much pain as he remembered. That one sight of her being pierced by one of Rio’s swords caught him off-guard, so he was thankful for Shion’s assistance (or so he assumed it was her assistance that helped Emiri). Whatever the case, he could return to finally putting the final nail in Rio’s coffin once and for all

The Archadian Prince was about to throw all he had into one final offense until he felt Belias tug at him from within, stopping the blond where he stood. “What?”

He stops. Something isn’t right.

It took Jaakuna just a moment to realize exactly what it was Belias was referring to. The batch of familiar mist signatures came at him like a ton of bricks. He knew who that was without even thinking about it. “What’s Levi doing here?”

She did not come alone.

When Jaakuna questioned what Belias was referring to, he sensed something approaching the Utena headquarters, but he couldn’t tell where it was coming from. He caught several mist signatures approach. “Three, four - how many are coming?” Jaakuna murmured, unsure what was happening exactly.

And as the moment would pass, Jaakuna would get his answer. From a portal high above, the sounds of magick being shot out of it covered the immediate view above, lightning of various colors, pure, purple energy, and shots of non-elemental bullets suddenly became a rain of mist, all directed at Rio, which it likely took him by surprise. The next thing Jaakuna knew was smoke had gathered, sending him back as well, skidding just mere feet away from Emiri and Shion.

”Wait--what was that?”

“WAAAAHOOOOOOOOO!”

The cloud of smoke caused by various forms of magick started to clear. And to his shock, Jaakuna saw four familiar faces - well, five. “Well fuck me, what on Ivalice are you guys doing here?”

Indeed, when the smoke cleared, there stood Dominic, Shinto, Lannit, and Isaiah with his Esper, Adrammelech. Dom stood behind them, Shinto had his gun raised and a cigarette in his mouth, Isaiah was in his Judge Magister armor with his sword emitting a golden static electricity, Lannit stood next to Isaiah with his Needle Gun, and The Wroth was hovering over them, letting out a proud roar.

“We’ve come to help you out,” Isaiah stated, earning a ‘dude!’ from Dominic.

“I appreciate the help, but why come now?”

“Things are not good around Ivalice.”

“What do you mean?”

“As always, the princess simplifies the issue at hand,” Levi stated, scoffing at Nadeline.

Wesley was slow on the uptake, it seemed. He was sure he would be the one to catch his beloved. Surprisingly, Grant beat him to the punch. That would be something he’d he to repay his friend for later. For now, however, Wesley would simply focus his energy on what was most important - such as what was happening in front of him at this very moment. Ren, the shy assassin from before, had appeared to be possessed by Rio, but based off what he also saw in front of him, of all people, the Esper, Zodiark was in the process of making sure that was no longer a problem.

“If you don’t mind me asking, Levi, but what exactly is it that you’re doing here? I recognize you have your reasons, but is the situation so dire that it requires your...particular set of skills?”

Levi glanced towards Wesley, smiling. She returned her eyes to the now-unconscious Ren. “You lot have no idea what’s been happening outside, do you?”

“Should we?”

Michel coughed, “Lady Leviathan, if I may..”

Levi nodded, shrugging. To Michel, that was her giving him the go-ahead.

“While you and your band of Transcendents have been dealing with The Creature - better known as Rio Carona - things around Ivalice have taken a turn for the worse. What was previously a containable incident with the corrupting forces from Rio and the monsters around Ivalice just becoming slightly stronger, It’s a war zone out there. Everywhere from the Imperial and Royal capitals to the various wildlife areas of Ivalice have been overrun by these creatures of pure darkness. It’s become such a terrible ordeal that the three great kingdoms have come together to battle the common enemy.”

If he was being honest, Wesley wasn’t sure how what has happened here had any effect on what was happening throughout Ivalice. “I thought the Utena Headquarters protected Ivalice? Or was I mistaken?”

“Lady Shion has ensured that wards were laid around our home, yes, but they were destroyed when Jackson and Rio decided to go all out. I’m afraid, if this keeps up, the Ivalice we knew will be no more.” Michel stated rather grimly.

“We have to stop the fight, then!”

Just as Wesley was about to head back, a wall of black stopped him. “You will do no such thing,” Levi declared, turning around with a hand on her hips.

“If we do not stop them--”

“You didn’t let Michelangelo finish. Yes, he said things topside are bad, but what he didn’t say - what I’m sure he’s beating himself over with - is that measures have been taken to ensure that this issue will be temporarily taken care of while Jaakuna handles Rio,” Levi informed him, assuring Wesley there was nothing to worry about. “And if it makes you feel any better, my being here isn’t just about what’s happening around our homes.”

Wesley raised an eyebrow, curious about what she meant by that.

“You, me, and the Princess should have a talk. Alone. She gestured Nadeline and Wesley to follow her, waving her arm, causing Zodiark’s eyes to flash. They were suddenly surrounded by slate gray smoke, separating them from Grant and Savayna.

And just like that, when she thought everything was going to be full of celebration and happiness, events at the Zima Residence had turned around. Not even thirty minutes and the family was fighting. Father was arguing with Katinka about how many family members were coming over. Eva didn’t know what to make of it. She was dressed and was feeling so giddy about everything. But then as if in a snap of someone’s fingers, the party was canceled. Her father kicked Katinka out of the house and, those who were going to come over had thusly rescinded their invitations- well, more like Dmitri canceled everything; told them not to come.

As she sat down, letting everything soak in, she still didn’t understand. Just an hour ago, her family seemed to be happy. What could’ve changed? How could just sixty minutes turn what was supposed to be a joyous occasion into the worst day ever?

“This couldn’t possibly get any worse..”

Sorry, I slept in. I hope that's not too uncool, I was a little hammered last night. Lmao, that's obvious. I'd love to join you. It's not like I've got much else to do around here. Could you pick me up?

I’m so, so, so sorry, Zeke. There’s been some trouble over here. I’ll fill you in. Meet me in the Square in about twenty minutes?

After sending that text to him, she still didn't know what to feel. All of her hopes for the day were crushed and now Eva was left with this crushing, defeated feeling. She had hoped to show everyone the guy she liked a lot, but now it just seemed like all was really hopeless.

“I’ll be back, Papa!” Eva said, taking the keys to her car as she left. Before she could give him a chance to say anything she was out the door. She wouldn’t show it, but on some level, she was disappointed. Why did it have to happen like this? Those same thoughts continued to linger as she drove from the rich area of Salem to the Square where she would sit in the plaza as she waited for Zeke, who should be arriving any minute now.

Did Colin expect anything out of her response? Not really. The man knew he was asking for a lot. To drop everything going through his mind the moment he saw her eyes and their hands connected was overwhelming. It was overwhelming for him and it was undoubtedly overwhelming for her. She didn’t have to say it because Colin saw it plastered over her beautiful face. And when she spoke - god, even hearing her speak brought him back to their days at Salem High. Granted, things were very different back then, but he was thankful to just hear her voice. It didn’t have to be for long, just the fact that she graced him with it for the limited time she spoke was enough for him.

“Honestly Colin, I’m proud that you’ve come this far. Seeing you like this is nice, a huge step up from the hole you were in high school. But this is a lot right now and it probably doesn’t help that I’m hungover.”

As she explained her gratitude for his honesty and how she was happy for him and how far he came, but it was obvious to him that she couldn’t handle all that he told her at the moment. Well, handle seemed to be the wrong way to phrase it. It was, at least from Colin’s point-of-view, she didn’t know how to process it.

“You should probably take it easy,” he suggested, laughing. Jess had always been the type to go too hard, too fast.

“I appreciate the apology, I really do Colin. I just need some time to get my head straight and figure this out. You know as well as I do that this is not a matter to be taken lightly. I hope you’ll understand that much.”

“Of course I understand. Truth be told, Jess, I didn’t think you’d hear me out this far. I half-expected you to not give me the time of day. I know what I did was unforgivable, so I am grateful that you heard me out. You will never know how much it meant to me.”

Their eyes met once more and what Colin was going to say next seemed to be blocked by those eyes of hers. Even after all this time, he was helpless in her gaze. “Take as much time as you need, Jessica. I will be here for whenever you want to talk. I’ll always be here,” he sweetly said. His hand remained on hers. Honestly, Colin didn’t realize it.
