Being fairly light-skinned (as compared to the other members of his family), Ozzy does stand out in the family photos. Skin too light among the olive toned Greeks of his family and his hair is just slightly less silky than his cousins and parents. It is not without being soft upon touch, but it doesn’t feel like air, either. And it’s a little lighter, too. Bearing that in mind, Ozzy’s eyes are a tad darker than anyone he knows. Usually, those in his family bear green and/or hazel eyes but he has eyes like hickory and earth’s soil. His physical build is, as to be expected, on the verge of ripped. He stands exactly six-feet tall and weighs close to 180lbs.
For the most part, Ozzy has a pretty laid back approach to fashion. A lot of single-colored shirts in his closet. And the jeans. He’s a big fan of sweatshirts and hooded sweatshirts. Long-sleeve shirts with 2000s-era designs on them seem to be a big thing for him. He sometimes likes to wear hats of various kinds: knit caps, sporting team headwear, beanies, and bandana if he’s feeling particularly ghetto. His shoes are always worn for comfort, not aesthetic; though, he isn’t above dressing formally should the need arise - like a date or a dance that isn’t black tie optional. He loves his watches, too.

There isn’t a lot to say about Ozzy because he has, for the most part, been and continues to be an open book. His smile and outward attitude towards anyone (friend or unknown) is always genuine. He doesn’t play mind games nor does he indulge with those who do play mind games. He rarely hates and dislikes people, but even a saint has their limits. It will take a mighty serious offense to make him genuinely loathe you, but bet on him hating you with a vengeance should anyone make their way onto that particular list of his.

It is rumored that the Marinos family comes from a long line of Witches. It is also said that long ago when time was still young, the very Goddess of Witchcraft, Hecate, was said to bear the first branch of the Marinos tree that grew into what it is now. Of course, some also say that’s a story they tell to the younger kids of the family to invoke some confidence and build up their faith in the family. Truly, the actual origins of the family are widely unknown but one thing is certain.
The Marinos Family is one of powerful Witches. For generations, they have produced powerful, female witches; and from each witch, came another line of powerful female witches. Female empowerment is and always will be the foundation in which the Marinos Family operates on. So, imagine the surprise when Thea Marinos and her pure-blooded husband (born into the family through extended trees) when their only child was born not a female, but a male warlock. It is said that his birth, though changing the family dynamics he did, was to be born on a night where the most powerful witch in the history of the family - Thylissa Marinos - was also born on the same day of May, 31st seven-hundred years prior. This coincidence was, at the most, alarming for those in his family.
From that day, Ozzy, who was given the name of Ozymandias Silas, was treated less than a person but more than a trophy. His parents, though mostly his mother, put him through lesson after lesson. If he wasn’t sleeping or eating, he was studying. It got to the point where he earned his spot at the Raindale University for Witches and Warlocks. Almost immediately, when he turned nineteen, Ozzy was shipped off, but his parents had a clear goal for him: graduate the top of every single one of his classes or fear disownment.
So he did. Or at least, he did his best to. What they didn’t know hopefully didn’t hurt them.

Not to be confused with nature magic which borrows from the energy from the trees and air, earth magic -specifically Ozzy’s Earth Magic - is one that comes from deep within the ground we all stand on. He uses it mostly for offensive purposes, though defense and various supplementary usages have been known to take effect from time to time.

Focused and Dedicated — One thing Ozzy can count on is the dedication he has shown to his craft and how focused he is when conducting spells. This is yet another reason why his family holds him in high opinion and why he ‘s so confident in his own abilities.
Protective Instinct — In every aspect, Ozzy’s own protective instincts allow him a further layer of consistent spellcasting, especially when done so or for the sake of someone he cares about. Be it to impress or protect, it hardens any construct or blast of earth he may cast.

Fear of Anger — Though the only weakness, it’s the most consistent and most important one. Ozzy has always had a fear of his own anger. He has always known to be over emotional at times and sometimes when trying to cast spells, he sometimes holds back. This is because he fears he may put too much into it, thus what he might be fully capable of might not be shown. There is also the grand fear of Ozzy losing control of a spell and doing more than he set out to do. If he creates a golem of earth, that golem may have a mind of its own or turn its attention on him. Or if he produces an earthquake spell, it may exceed past what he initially cast the spell for.
There are too many factors to consider and they all point to Ozzy pulling back out of fear of himself and the fear of hurting others by mistake.

For generations, the Marinos Family witches have all made pacts with the Hellhounds of the Underworld. Said to be a binding contract for life. It is said because of the nature of the Marinos Family, the hellhounds represent the ire and twisted earth dwelling in their blood. The same applied to Ozzy.
On his eighteenth birthday (exactly one year before left for Raindale), he made a binding contract with the Hellhound King and with it, to his absolute surprise, the meanest and most violent of the available hounds chose Ozzy not for an equal darkness within him but because he held fear close to the vest that this one, the one that referred to himself as Spike (for the spikes growing out of his neck), chose Ozzy. The boy was uncertain, but soon they formed a brotherly bond with their mutual hobby of working out. The two do daily runs with each other, sometimes Ozzy rides Spike, though that came through trial and error.
