“Height won’t matter here in a second if you continue mocking me.”

Appearance:
It’s not hard to note the most notable feature of X is his height. A man dawn in a black cloak, who stands at 5’2”,157cm, is well easy to miss, but not easy to forget. Underneath his cloak he wears a tight fitting tank top and ballooning pants, at the shins tucked into long boots. He’s seen wearing sunglasses over his red irises and a pair of leather gloves. His hair is blackish purple and he has a row of earrings on his right ear.

He speaks very dryly, his voice has a slight gruffiness to its cadence. Though it is not very deep, it’s on the fairer side, with a slight vocal fry.

Weighing 103lbs, 46kg, X is lithe and mostly a bony stick underneath. His skin is unusually pale and nearly sickly looking. Though X can confirm is in good health and doesn’t need anyone to carry him.

Personality:

“It’s not called a short complex if the other guy is on the ground, now is it?”

X is more than a lot of things. He can be extremely sharp witted, with quick sarcastic remarks. Though he can also be short tempered and slightly on the more verbally aggressive side. Though that doesn’t mean he cannot be physically aggressive either, especially if the other guy deserves it. X is otherwise more or less someone few interact with in fear of triggering his ire. He’s sassy, often with a quick unfiltered remark that can kind of come off a bit like an asshole or a lot like an asshole.

When he’s not working he prefers to do nothing and is seen spending his “off time” reading or as he puts it recharging his batteries to give an effort about everybody else. At first X doesn’t seem to be the type of person most would associate or hire. Yet, he makes up for it by being deeply honest, and deeply efficient.

When working, X is grounded, reasonable. He’s a logical, intellectual thinker despite what some would say about him when he has down time. Capable of critical thought, and analysis, X is a professional when it comes to doing his job and only that. He’s also a person you can count on being loyal. X doesn’t seem to be the type of person who would be genuinely loyal to those who earn his trust, but the reality is that once you have earned X loyalty keep it, it’s reliable and will always be there. Break it, and face his wrath.

His temper has always been his downfall and weakness. X can easily be triggered, especially by sights he finds offputting. Even someone say an off handed remark that particularly strikes a nerve in X can get him irritated. Something he’s been working on. Though that doesn’t mean he simply flies off the handled. He has a tendency to store and bottle things that annoy him till one trigger makes him snap and explode.

X dislikes dishonesty and he dislikes those that cheat others. He expects honesty, loyalty, and respect from his fellows. As he’ll give you those things if you have earned those things with him. He likes dark clothes, and prefers reading a good book in perfectly good silence.

Backstory:
To understand X’s past you must first look back to where it begins. Not too fortunately many of our past are connected to other’s actions. Before you, before others there was a Keyblade wielder known as Rudy Nighthawk. Like you, he trained his mind and physical body in order to wield the Keyblade with efficient success. When it came time to test Keyblade wielders before you, Rudy stood before the Mark of Mastery with confidence and arrogance.

His downfall became family and children’s tragedy. When Rudy failed the test he swore to the guild that he would be back one day with true masters of the Keyblade. Turning his back onto the guild, he created his band of loyal slavers. The Nightblades, a funny joke name to Rudy, set their home base in the lands of Avarah.

There Rudy set out to find potential Keyblade wielders before others could get to them. The trouble was Rudy didn’t know what to do with these potential wielders, until one night a thought struck him. A way to make money off their bounty as well as possibly find a few wielders before the guild could get to them. This is how Rudy and X’s fate met.

The Nightblades scoured worlds looking for potential wielders, tricking parents into believing their children were indeed Keyblade wielders. Using a Coliseum in Avarah to make money off the children, training the children in hopes they would awaken the children that way. When that didn’t work they went to other tactics, telling the children who summoned their Keyblades would earn their freedom.

After a while the bitterness towards the guild turned into complacency as Rudy was making far enough money selling combat between Keyblade children to unwary customers who knew nothing of the children’s origins. They never knew the moment they stepped foot into the world of Oarazias that they would find a true Keyblade wielder. That night, in a small hut, in a forgotten oasis village, Rudy came upon X. Though his name back then was not X. He was called by his parents by the name Syous.

“Syous come here” calls a man wearing a cloak of animal hide, feathers adorned in his hair, braided at the side in a fine thin braid, tied by twine, and long like the mane of their desert climate horses, “What brings you stranger?”

“Aye sir, names Rudy Nighthawk of the Nightblades,” he pauses, staring at Syous, “You see imma Keyblade Wielder meself. And I am crossing the planes taking children to train them in order to manifest and control their keyblades.”

“Are you saying my child has the Soul Power?” the man ask skeptical at first.

“Aye sir, that I am indeed am doing so, or implying so,” Rudy tells the man.

No one will know what convinced Vishka that day to give his precious son to Rudy. But that was the day Syous became X. All the kids were stripped of their previous identities they were often given simple call names or simple handles for the announcer to present to the roaring crowd. Rudy at the time had no idea that he acquired not only a stubborn minded child, but he didn’t know he had a champ on his head. Staring at the eight year old that day he didn’t think much of it, even if something in his gut bubble with nervousness.

“For now on I am calling you X” Rudy stares upon the eight year old ushering him into a dungeon cell under the belly of the Coliseum he acquired.

“All right. Sounds lame” the boy replies with a shrug and tilt of his head to the side.

“Aren’t ya supposed to be I dunno more scared” Rudy ask the boy.

The boy shrugs, “Do something scary and I’ll tell you.”

X was a handful from the start. Something Rudy probably should have expected from a culture that hunting wild game was the difference between a man and a boy. X was strong minded and strong willed, which rallied many of the children to his side. Despite Rudy’s attempts to break the boy down. X tried a few disaster escapes on his own without much avail as well and landed him in a more secure cell for it. Most the kids around were scared. Often longing for their homes.

It wasn’t that X didn’t feel homesick for those seven years he was under the Coliseum. He simply held onto the tradition of his people. His father and his father before him told him since he was young, “the people will find their way. They are like the sands in the winds, while they may scatter, they will find their way.” The carried X along, knowing he would find his way. That’s what kept him strong. What kept him going.

Its that strength that had other children step up to the challenge with him. It’s also probably that strength that awakened the power inside X. When he was fourteen going on fifteen he awakened the power that Rudy may have known he could have conjured. A power Rudy wanted to obtain. A little over two years ago before the boy turned fourteen, Rudy tried a different tactic. Instead of scaring the child or trying to break him down he tried to strike up a friendship with the boy instead. Especially since he was becoming the favored in the Coliseum and was quick to learn, picking up his own style of movement and combat.

“Eh kid, how wuldah like to spend sum time in my humble home. Have sum dinnah,” Rudy ask the boy his hair soaked in sweat, red eyes flickering in candlelight.

“You’re the one who makes the rules as I recall,” the teenager replies defiantly.

“Forget sumtimes ya got that smurt mouth,” Rudy replies.

Rudy may have not admitted it back then, but he had a soft spot for the kid. He saw something in him perhaps. Potential. That potential manifested at the age of fourteen with X’s very own Keyblade. And it seemed as soon as he developed his very own Keyblade, the taste of freedom at the tip of his tongue, Viper and Cormack appeared to free him.

Rudy escaped that night. Where X went with Viper and Cormack.

“What’s your name?” Viper ask the young man leading him back to their plane.

“X, just X,” he replies.

Viper and Cormack exchange a look.

That would be the beginning of a complicated relationship. With a stubborn minded individual with the smarts to back it up.

Chaos has struck the Digiworld, as Yggdrasil was slain by Chaos itself. A new story begins, a new adventure begins. With a new set of individuals who wield the power to slay chaos and seal it forever into the abyss. Though that is always the hopeful choice is it not? For the Digi Destined hold the power of the Digiworld's fate within their Digi Device, within themselves. While one could always hope there is good inside. There is potential for corruption and potential for Chaos to burrow its way into the weak minded and ill fated. Those who were not prepared for the journey do not grow. Their souls become forever lost, wandering the meadow of digital evil.

You are one of the Digi Destined. Your fate lies before you. To stand by friends and Digi allies to save the Digit World from Chaos. Lucemon O has slain Yggdrasil and has plunged the Digiworld into disarray. No one knows what to do and so 8 chosen Humans from the Human World were chosen to wield the 8 different crest of the Digiworld in hopes to use their great powers of light, love and hope to restore the Digital World. However, this journey will not be so easy for the cast. They must overcome not only physical test, they must overcome their own demons or be succumbed by their own demons. Will you pick up the call? Will you pick up a crest to become a Digidestined?

You of 8, from different parts of the world, one day all receive a mysterious email. Compelled to open it, you have no idea how your life will change so drastically in the course of a single night.

Let's get down to business with some rules and then we'll go into the fun stuff.

I normally do not implement a posting speeds however, I believe 1 post a week is an acceptable speed of pace and ask that you try to maintain that minimum. Of course members can post more than 1 once a week. If you cannot make a post simply communicate with me and I will often try to find a way to work with you.

Next, if you sign up for this RP with a character and that character is accepted, then you are making a promise or at least you're saying that you'll make an effort to maintain a presence in this RP and make an effort to post per posting requirements. If you cannot make that commitment and continually leave RPs, then this RP will not be for you.

Lastly and this is the most Important Rule of them All. Is COMMUNICATE with me. If something comes up and you know that is please tell me. While I understand emergencies, I will not accept continual absences. Anyone who joins this RP will be looked through the same 3 criteria; reliability, quality, and creativity.
