If you're not trying to romance the Pokemon, what's the fucking point?

Can't help but read 'woah' as a regular 'wuh', but 'whoa' as a deep, masculine 'HOO-AH!'

That's patently untrue. I planted some potassium the other day, and no matter how much I watered it, all I got was explosions.

You use whatever relevant skills you have for it and if you don't have one, then its a base d6. If you are trying to climb a wall and have Climbing 3, then you'd roll d6 for both your roll and the counter roll.

I know, but how many d6 form the counter pool? One? Equal to your own pool? Case by case?
@ClocktowerEchos ooookeydokey

Q1: When rolling against ourselves, how do we determine the dice pool we're rolling against?

Q2: Do we get starting XP?

Q3: When we level up a skill and take a similar one, say, from 1-Pyromaniac to 2-Molotov cocktail connoisseur, do we keep the original skill or has it been replaced?

Monday — Morning — Athletic Field

'Here's the deal then, boys and girls. And, you know...'

Kat winced up but no one was looking at him. Key-metal clashed and clicked nearby him, and his foot dodged, as if it was going to be hit. He looked back up. She was just getting to the point, wasn't she? He hadn't been listening. (Too much effort. Too many things... things.) There was supposed to be a quiz, right?

The instructor left.

Kat tuned back in. There was supposed to be... a quiz...

The student council officer or sports team member or cheerleader or teacher's pet for whom Kat was waiting to pick up the keys never did so, and the chain of events went utterly unpunctuated. The instructor had left. A student had left. Students were leaving, and that was the end of it. Kat eventually came up from the puddle his head was floating in, and realised that that was all that was going to happen.

And the whole assembly responded in a loud voice: “Truly we will do as you say! But there are many people here, and it is the rainy season. We are not able to stay out in the open... Let our leaders represent the whole assembly."
-Ezra 10:12

WHAT

Kat picked up the keys and pocketed them in his jacket as if they stood to lose from getting wet. The jacket wasn't waterproof. Warm, but not for much longer. He glared around for the friends he didn't have among the classmates that really weren't. All he got was Dulac, which was worse than nothing. Dulac, Keone- why are you hanging on to her? she's HURTING you -and Rebecca.

In six months he hadn't even realised she was in his class.
cared
Did she need to pass? Did Kat even need to pass? Kind of- not really. She needed to get out of the rain. "...Uh, hey, Rebecca. You should probably..." hide. disconnect

...Probably what? Go with the other students who didn't care? Stay here? With Dulac?

Fnnuuugg.

Disappearing with the rest of the class was definitely the safer option, but Dulac would follow, and- Kat glanced at Keone- there was little he could do. Meaning, there was a lot he could do, none of which he was meant to. So, what? Leave her here? She wasn't moving, and they were all getting wet.

She needs to get out of the rain.

She needs to get OUT of the RAIN

"Hey, a-asshats!" Kat yelled to the disappearing students, with about the confidence of a cardboard box. He might as well have scratched the keys directly on the back of his own cornea as used that word, but there was a way this game was played. "I'm going to the garage to get ponchos. Is anyone else coming? I can't do it on my own," he only half lied, pointing across the fence where the gas station lights flickered, "and- my parents are gonna kill me if I fail anything."

It wasn't his best lie, and it probably wouldn't work, not with the class in this state. But if he could get the excuse to smuggle Rebecca out of the school, out of the rain, for even a few minutes, he was taking it. After that... well, this would keep them busy for a while. And keep him close. At least as close as her.

Finished one of my last assignments, will slowly bring myself back into existence over the next few days and then disappear again later in the month. Still need to read some of the latest posts and catch up to other games before posting myself.

@dragonmancer All good so long as Grimloq's absence isn't locking up anyone else's character. Leotamer probably wants to move on, so it'll be up to you to figure out some way for his character to disentangle and go on with the story elsewhere.

Roll call. Are you still with us? If you'd like to put your character on ice for a while and come back later, please let me know.

Monday — Morning — Hallway

Keone was saying things that weren't true, and Kat's hands wrung around the side of his head, looking to grip something long enough to think."I understand. Okay. Okay. Maybe." Now Kat had said something that wasn't true. That wasn't good either. "She's not going to make it." That was true. "You're not going to make it." That was dubious, but to Kat it seemed true, also. "No one grins and bears it. No one can pull that off. No one!" That he knew to be true.

"If you cut her on the inside she'll still bleed. Are we just going to leave her there? And you, too?" Conceptualising the act enough to say it aloud was too much for Kat. He wiped his eyes, again, and reached for his phone, and saw it wasn't there. That stopped him. Kat inhaled. "Tell Rebecca-"

'Discourage her.'

"...If you have to go back in, tell her I've left for my exam," he said, though by this point it was little more than an excuse in his mind. "Tell her I'll be back, whenever you think this is going to be over, or, or don't tell her anything." There was little compromise between that thing and Rebecca's injury. "Tell her I'll be back when the rain ends."

That, too, he knew to be true.

Kat stayed a few more seconds, then spun off and chased himself to the gym. His phone could wait. Or go to hell, for all he cared. It was probably already there.

Uthum is somewhat of an alien looking being. For starters, he’s not all that big for a God. In fact, most humans might actually outsize him. Though do not mistake this for any form of weakness. He’s entirely bald. With greyish skin and big, lidless eyes. He has no mouth, ears nor nose and instead just has smooth skin wherever those features should be. The back of his head but incredibly smooth. His body looks rather atrophied. He has two pairs of arms with 4 fingers on each hand. One thumb and 2 normal fingers. But his index finger is longer than the others and ends in a very sharp claw. While he has legs, he generally just levitates over the ground.

behold! a Grey!

The release of mana was not supposed to happen so suddenly. Instead, it was supposed to be a trickle. Allowing the mortal races to slowly learn the newly given powers. With the release of mana in one instance, the magical substance was launched everywhere. Giving the mortal races no time to adapt to it. Now Ulthum fears that they might reject his gift. Or worse, than they would not know how to use it! He fears the abuse of mana or the fear various races will have of it. But he is also quite curious. How will the mortal races, made in the image of the gods, react to this strange and magical substance? How creative will they be with it?

We currently have very few mortal races, and very few mortals in general, so we'll see how this pans out.

Magic is everywhere.

About this section- first of all, check with @Lauder that there's no conflicts of interest between the Energy domain and your portfolio, since they seem pretty similar.

Otherwise, much like everything else that's not the bare necessities (hydrogen, gravity, byproducts of hydrogen and gravity), magic exists where it's created by gods, so Uthum will have to create mana in order to bring it into the world (I see you've got that mostly covered in your personality section, though). Other forms of magic will happen as they are figured out in-character.

Generally though the sheet seems pretty good. Keep these things in mind and you can start working on Uthum's introduction.

So this is an update on the next rules update, which will be quite minor- Deity levels now go up to seven. By extension, the ultimate cap on holy sites is 14 Might and the most Might you can regenerate per turn without holy sites is 10 MP.

More details shortly. @Legion02 , I'll get to you in a minute.
