But in a capital-S kinda way.

I invented necromancy and the windmill. I beat the sun in a poker match during the summer of 1273 and God hasn't felt the same since.

”Mhm...Looking forward to it.” Iris didn’t actually *know* anything about the wellspring, since no witchling ever gets in unless it’s for one reason in particular, but all she knew was that could think of was how the wellspring had to be really important. There’s no reason the coven would go through any amount of trouble it does to protect it if that weren’t the case. ”Been waiting for this day a while, actually.” knowing full well how important this ceremony would be, Iris didn’t exactly come dressed for the occasion. She was wearing a denim coat and sweatpants, not really the first thing that comes to mind when you’re preparing for a ceremony that binds you to an esoteric source of magic energy, the likes of which Iris couldn’t even imagine. She leaned back against the porch steps she was sitting on, the night grew dimmer and dimmer as the glow of Corvus’ heart stood out more and more in his chest. Come to think of it, imagine the kind of golems you could make with that magic...

She wouldn’t bore Dakota with the details, but she pulled out a black book with a pen stuck to it to write something about that down, she also made a note to clear that idea with the elders first, wouldn’t want to piss a magical authority figure off by taking sacred energy and putting it in a tin suit, would we? The book Iris was jotting something down in resembled a fancy sketchbook, and it was filled with things pertaining to golems. The reason for this handmade guide for golems was because Iris hadn’t ever heard of any other witches practicing any kind of magic like this. She asked some of the higher up witches before, but none of them could ever give her a straight it answer, it all lead to the saying it was either impossible or it was necromancy, which was morally impossible, but they weren’t entirely right. The front of Iris’ book has a painted on image of a stick figure with what looked like charms stuck to the front somehow. Curious looking glass lenses with magical items underneath them, three in total in a triangular fashion, all the size of an eye, to keep any nasty types of creatures from getting a hold of the knowledge on how to creature a magical construct. Iris hasn’t been told by anyone that this knowledge needs to be kept secret, but she knows better than most that being able to make an extra set of hands to help you with literally anything can be problematic when your supposed enemy is trying to take the wellspring’s power.

”Mm, the forest. Well, it’s a scary thing, folks don’t really go in expecting to come out.” The barmaid said, on her way back with a few beers for the travelers, yawning a little. ”Not much more to tell, really. If I were you, I’d keep out and move along.” The tone in her voice was different from earlier, like she was thinking about it more than she actually should...”Enjoy your drinks, there’s an inn across town you can stay in, we don’t have rooms...” Having said that, she sauntered a little ways over to behind the main counter, there was a door leading upstairs...She swung it open and called up the staircase.

”Tolan! I’m heading home, close up the place for me before you fall asleep up there, yeah?” an audible “mhm” noise was the only reply. The woman pulled a pin out of her hair upon closing the door, resulting in her bound up mop dropping past her shoulders. She made her way across the floor and out the front door to Yellowgrass. Meanwhile, a sound or two could be heard upstairs as someone was coming down them, lazily, to handle things. That was when a man emerged from the door, messy blonde hair that draped just past his ears, a cotton shirt with a low neck line, stubble all over his chin and mouth, and a tired look upon his face, it would almost be attractive, were it not for the fact that he looked tired.

”Bar’s closed, don’t stay too long.” He said while grabbing a few empty mugs off the counter to store away, oddly enough, he wasn’t at all put off by the large half orc or the monk, maybe it was too late in the evening to care. Either way, the only thing that really stood out to this one man skeleton crew of a person, apparently named Tolan was that occasionally his shirt sleeves would ride up, and a weird looking mark on his arm would show ever so slightly. It wouldn’t mean much to anyone.

”Let me guess, here for the forest.” Tolan said, a table or two away, cleaning up a spill.

What do you think
Mizo couldn’t hear you over the sound of her wife swinging a sword
@Apollosarcher I’ve been working on a precise location near Parris Island, when that’s settled I’ll get to the other issues

Edit : Found one
@Cuddles 1438

1) Good point, Adder does a bunch of mechanic work whenever she can for caps, odd jobs mostly, fixing someone’s radio or some guns mostly, but I could see the Marshall’s hiring her for some larger jobs like a robot or something along those lines, I can leave that to the GMs or any Marshall characters

2) Her past isn’t meant to be very dramatic, unlike Sirus, who was meant to have scars from the past, but if you need me to work on her past, I’m more than up for that

3) Do you mean specifically on a map? In general it’s in a more quiet place away from a lot of civilization, out in the boonies, in a way. It’s where she lives, so it would be a good place to kick back and rest before the big stuff happens, or to repair stuff that the group needs. If Sam’s fancy car breaks down, Adder’s got parts, not that she’s expect to see a car 200 years after the world ended though.
