Marching in line towards the canteen, Johnathan had a bit on his mind... through he did notice that when they passed the more rank and file solders that were training, he was the one in their little group that got the least attention. That made quite a lot of sense, since if he had been put in any other unit of solders he would have blended right in as another recruit; He did notice a few dark looks that were thrown towards his Asian teammate and the women of the unit were looked at with slight disbelief, lust and a slight degree of scorn, through they weren't inclined to say or do anything more about it at the moment. No doubt due to the presence of a ranking officer.

He made sure that he was the last in the line of their group, receiving his meal last but with an intention in mind. Before he walked over to sit down at the table that his squad had claimed for their own, he politely waited until the Colonel had left the Captain alone before walking towards him and offering a brief salute. "Sir, might I discuss something with you in private the next chance we get?"

Appearance:
Standing over seven feet tall on cloven hooves, Khaz tends to draw the eye and a fair few muttered prayers of protection under the breaths of more... devoted religious people. A humanoid goat in appearance, Khaz is quite clearly physically imposing with the well honed muscles and scars of someone who has spent their whole life fighting battle after battle. His horns are sharp and well taken care of, through never polished enough to shine. His fur is messy and often unkempt, the only attention that it is ever given is the occasional bath to prevent himself from smelling too horrible and the occasional trim to prevent it from getting in the way.

Living Bulwark: When one is born cursed and reviled by many of those around you, you must either become incredibly hard to kill or die. Khaz is the former, his body easily strong enough to withstand quite a fair bit of punishment.

Strong Fighter: There is a stereotype of the 'monsterous' beastmen that all of them are physically powerful and good at fighting. This is a misunderstanding; There are weak, more scholarly beastmen... They just tend not to survive till adulthood.

Stealthy: One would think that a large humanoid goat would be difficult to miss; There are quite a few bodies in the slums that never lived to learn otherwise.

Personality:
Violent and angry at the world that hates him, Khaz is not the first person that comes to mind when they picture a member of the city guard; despite this he honestly desired to join up and to the vexing of many he has never actually explained why. Born and raised in the slums, Khaz has seen more soul crushing, harrowing sights in the shadows that anyone really has any right to bare witness to and yet he remains unbroken by it. Khaz processes both a brutal cunning and a cunning brutality combined a willingness to use both in order to get the job done and come home alive.

History:
Despite what the Mage Guild says, Magic has unintended consequences on the world. No one knows exactly how it happens or why due to the Mage Guild refusing to even acknowledge the problem and any independent researcher looking into it tends to disappear without a trace along with their notes, but there is a degree of raw, magical fallout in the world caused by the practiced usage of magic. While this fallout of magic has numerous effects on the world, its most visible is seen in the birth of the 'beastmen', children born to human parents mutated as some kind of humanoid animal. Condemned as cursed by the gods, many of these children are abandoned in dangerous places to die and in the natural course of things, most do.

Some don't.

Khaz was born in the city of Kings Knell, his goat like mutations complicating the birth and resulting in the death of his biological mother, with his biological father abandoned him in the middle of the night in the slums soon afterwards. However Khaz was found by a passing member of the Blood Maul gang, who recognized in the young infant a great deal of potential. Raised by his adoptive father Dakka, Khaz received the best education that the slums had to offer... the art of shit kicking.

When he was old enough to walk and understand, Khaz was taught by Dakka how to fight, how to take a beating and how to avoid being seen on an almost daily basis due to the man's drinking habit making him... ill tempered. The almost daily circle of abuse continued until Khaz was ten years old, when he interrupted a drunken beating by soaking his face right in the face and knocking him the hell out. Unwilling to stay in the same building as his old man anymore, Khaz left home.

Work wasn't hard to come by, since even at his young age he was rather big, strong and scary looking; Marking him as perfect hired muscle to those that would hire him for whatever ends they required. While he embraced his talents of brute force and honed his cunning, Khaz quickly found the mercenary life he was living rather... unsatisfying. He felt the strong desire to belong to a herd and while he could have joined one of the countless gangs that would have killed to have someone as strong as he was, none of them felt like they would be home...

He was an outcast in the world...

... And like all outcasts do sooner or later, he found the City Guard.

Johnathan had made a promise to himself that he would be matching the pace of the last person traveling in the job; Partly to try and encourage them to keep going while privately it was to ensure that nobody fell behind during the course of the jog. It was a promise that he kept, through he couldn't help but notice the pace that Maria was going was... well, little more then a walk. After a few moments had passed, he decided to start a conversation up. "I can't help but feel that you're not taking this whole exercise seriously. Something on your mind?"

Standing at attention at the end of the run, Johnathan offered the Captain a respectful salute before breaking off to go and get changed without a word. He would be in front of the barracks on time if nothing else.

As he raced after the cat like ninja, Luigi was blind to all else that was going on around him. He didn't take notice of the other heroes that were joining in on the chase or whom where attempting to catch the thief, of bystanders or innocent people that were confused and just trying to get out of the way; All that mattered to him was making up lost ground and reclaiming his brothers hat and soul.

As the feline thief headed towards one of the walls and deployed what appeared to be a smoke bomb, Luigi altered his path just a little so that he was aiming for a part of the wall that was choked in smoke. Launching himself high into the air with a single bound, he was more then willing to demonstrate his own acrobatic ability by quickly scaling the rest of the wall and running down the other side, jumping off when he was at a height where it was safe to do so, roll along the ground to avoid injury and start picking up speed once again once he had regained his footing!

As the chase continued, leaving the castle behind and entering the city streets proper, he witnessed the thief leap up and intercept the flying Naija and doing... something in order to steal all of her equipment in a moment before continuing to flee, the ocean dweller plunging towards the ground because of it. Seeing the Lumas break of their pursuit of the thief in order to try and save her, Luigi continued to chase after the cat without even slowing down for Naija, trusting that the trio of stars would be able to save her without his interference. If he lost the cat now, he would not be getting his brother back at all...

Watching as the thieving little rat ducked into what appeared to be a restaurant of all buildings, Luigi skidded several meters along the ground in order to bring himself to a complete stop in front of the door of Mama's restaurant before pushing the door open and stepping inside to... witness a scene that simply defied all sense and logic. Watching as the disgusting blob that was Wario make a complete pig out of himself to the point that he wasn't even able to physically stand upright under his own weight without the support of both Waluigi and a member of the restaurant staff was... disturbing to say the least, but the sheer amount of effort and planning that had apparently gone into what could only be the stupidest plan he had ever heard off actually caused Luigi to just stand there, blinking as his brain tried to process what he had just heard.

Was this what it was like to suffer an aneurysm?

Thoughts of murdering both of them aside, Luigi just couldn't but ask just to clarify that he had actually heard them correctly and wasn't actually going insane "Just to be sure I heard you both right... You went to the effort of hiring a thief to steal my brothers remains from his funeral in front of a number of heroes... some of whom had actually been there when he died... solely so that could be join the effort to save worlds?"

Taking a deep breath (and trying to ignore the insanely powerful stench of Wario's bad breath), Luigi was quick to ask an important follow up question. "Why?"

Academy of Hereos and Villains: Year two

Draco clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth, a little disappointed that Kassy lacked the skills that he was missing as well but there wasn't anything that could be done about it now. Besides, odds were if there was some shadowy figure lurking in the wings for an opportunity to strike, sticking together in order to have each others backs wasn't the worst idea. "Alright. You watch my back, I'll watch yours. Let's do this."

Jogging out of the door, Draco glanced around for a moment in order to try and get his baring... before zeroing in on the small group of looters nearby that had clearly used what appeared to be a sledgehammer to help them break through whatever was in their way. Draco was as fast as an average human, so it took him a few seconds in order to close the distance between himself and the looters but once he had built up momentum he didn't feel inclined to stop; As the first guy turned to see what the sound of running heading towards him was, he was too slow on the uptake to prevent Draco from kneeing him in the stomach. As he doubled over, a blind elbow strike aimed for the back of his head drove him face first into the uncaring ground as Draco continued onward, trusting that if the guy wasn't down for the count that Kassy would finish the job.

The second guy didn't even get to turn around fully before he was hit in the face with a boot as Draco kicked him, breaking his nose and knocking the man down onto his back. The third and final man wielding the sledgehammer that they had been using to break into things made a pretty solid attempt to swing it around at Draco's head... only for Draco to catch the metal head of the sledgehammer with his bare hand before headbutting it's wielder with a loud crunching noise and loud swearing as he joined his mates on the ground.

Oh, that was my mistake. I wrote that part while I was doing research on the Mormon Faith and I guess I missed that bit. His dad has only married one woman.

For the record through, Johnathan isn't apart of the polygamy movement of Mormons. That was banned from the main church in 1890, it's actually something that will get you excommunicated by the Church itself.
