I think to sell someone on an interest check, it's really important to seem enthusiastic about your own idea. That means writing more than a single sentence to attract potential players.

Did you know that Dante's inferno is called a divine comedy because things work out for the protagonist? Back in the day, the only two genres were comedy and drama. The only difference was that in a comedy, the protagonist is better off at the end, and a drama is the opposite. So that's why a story about going through hell can still be considered a comedy, even if it's not funny.

Name:
Broken Promise, BP, Boss

Age:
Old enough to know better, too young to care. (that is to say 30's)

Preferred RPs:
I Prefer to make my own, but will occasionally join something if it looks interesting. I'll join just about anything so long as it isn’t overly edgy/sweet, though it's rare for me to do. I don't do 1x1s too often either.

Preferred Roles:
I tend to play adorable characters everyone wants to befriend or proper assholes everyone wants to stay away from. I try not to play moral paragons or prime evils.

RP Conquests:
I've completed quite a few RP's off site, but most of them are on private forums or have simply been lost to the ravages of server crashes. As for stuff here, I'm sure everyone who sees me post in the off topic sections has seen me find an excuse to talk about Danganronpa: Tower of Carnage. It's a project that took over 4 years to complete and I feel pride not only for myself but all the wonderful people who helped make it enjoyable during its run. Re: Zero: The High Council Is technically my first, but it was just something I kind of took over and ended up ending the story after just six months. It finished, but eh...

Last RP I finished was Symphony of Espers which turned out pretty good.

RP's in progress:
For some reason I can't seem to stay away from Ari's magical girl RP, even if I'm not sure why I'm still in it.

As for my own projects, I'm doing Symphony on High to continue the gigachad adventures of the espers in Pax Septimus.

RP Graveyard:
I've been pretty fortunate on this forum. I think I joined one when I first came on the site that didn't really do anything, and there are a few 1x1 things that didn't go anywhere. It's disappointing when an RP ends before it can be finished, but I've come to look at them as learning experiences.

And then there's that london magical girl RP, and that dark magical girl RP. I think I'm done joining magical girl RPs for a while.

Other interests:
Videos
I watch a lot of educational videos on youtube. Usually as research for something I’m writing or purely because a topic interests me. I like channels like Tier Zoo and Daryl Talks Games, and I’ll also watch things like Critical Drinker or Literature Devil to deepen my understanding of story telling. Though I also like memes and jokes, to which I’ll find myself watching stuff like Sseth, but usually find myself surfing through meme videos. I gotta work on that.

Games
I have a rather long history of playing virtually every platformer to come into existence during the indie boom, as well as quite a few other indie games. I’ve played Meatboy, Binding of Issac, Gunvolt, Cuphead, Princess Remedy in a World of Hurt, Classic Metroid, Warcraft 3, Final Fantasy 7,8, and 14, Left 4 Dead, Shantae, Celeste, Danganronpa, God Eater, the list goes on. What I’ve played is kind of all over the place. I don’t play many games these days, I tend to pick things that look interesting and go on a decent steam sale.

Painting Minis
I do this in moderation. Otherwise, it's a pretty expensive hobby to start...

Music
I listen to everything, save most country/rap songs. I have too many favorites to name.

Personality:
Not one to take life or the internet too seriously. Is only serious about writing well and having a good time.

People to Insult:
Dalton is a Dingus.

Jezebel closed her eyes in glee. “Like, if you're going to give a cliche line like that, you totally need to be looking me in the eyes, noid.” Jezebel looked away from Faith. Her facial expressions became normal again.
Davis was confused.
“We've totally been getting off track here though. We haven't even started the meeting yet. You guys want to know what we're here for, right? I'll totally tell you.” The clown started to pace around the room.
Davis did not understand why there were so many memes in everyone's posts. Grey text old meme!
“So the reason why we called this meeting was to totally get on the same page as everyone. I think we can agree risking everyone's lives to rush out during a night of carnage is not really a smart move. Especially now that we know that noid Davis can like, call upon extra sisters whenever he pleases. Like, that's so uncool” She folded her arms behind her back. “But like, we know monokuma is going to come up with another reason for us to go out there and junk. So we totally need to to be ready for that. So here's my plan...”
Davis didn't really understand what made secret text so cool anyway. Old meme, dead meme.
“We're going to capture Caora and hold him hostage!” Jezebel threw her hands up in the air. “This way, if some barf bag gets captured again, no one will be tempted to go rescue them. Because like, they'd be putting Caora's life at risk!” She eyed Thomas and Faith, but only briefly.“I think it's a brilliant plan myself, and like, nobody has to get hurt and junk.”
Davis was going to write a new rule to prevent memes in the future, but that seemed like a waste of time.
@DracoLunaris That's strictly for additional girls made using the ally perk. But yea, on the second page for the second table, it tells you that your ally can be an experienced magical girl, or a monster girl. It then further explains that monster girl allies get no coins, and normal magical girls get 2 silver and 3 bronze.
My character sheets are almost done, mostly I'm just spending the platinum coins. But I've got one question...

For the allied perk, do the allies share the patron benefits? I would assume the black coin from the mint is off limits as monster girls are given different coin allowances than normal magical girls, but I'm assuming they serve a patron of some kind, or are they all considered freelancers?
@ZekariVoblis Yup, I've got 15 players if I don't count myself and the co-gm, and about 20 characters with the potential of more on the way. Though if a few drop out, I'd be more then happy to let you in. But at the moment we've got a lot of characters moving around.

Just when things seemed like they had escalated to a point, Faith found a way to make the tension raise even higher. She gave her reason for doubting the thing was explosive, and further insisted her doubts with her knife. She was cutting Thomas. Her knife was coated in the blood of another person.

Up until this point, Jezebel seemed calm about everything going on. The destruction crazed robot, the cryptic message about the explosives, none of this rattled the clown. But when Faith started carving up Thomas, that changed. Her eyes expanded, her hands curled inwards, and her mouth hung agape. This was not an expression many people had seen Jezebel make. But Faith had seen it a lot. Faith had seen it many times.

“Enough, enough!” Jezebel's voice stung everyone's ears. She marched into the center of the room and stopped. “When is it going to be enough for you?” She grit her teeth. “Like, when is the demi-god going to be happy with her sacrifices?” Jezebel folded her arms. “How many more people need to get hurt because you think you're immortal!?” She locked eyes with Faith. How many more of my friends are you going to butcher!? Jezebel was starting to tear up. “I-it's endless, so totally endless. I just can't get away from you. Like, why did you have to come here? Why? Wh-” In an instant, her tears dissipated, and her face was plastered with a jack-o-lantern's grin. “Oh, I get it now. You want me don't you?" Jezebel wasn't going to pause long enough for Faith to respond. "But you haven't been able to kill me yet, so instead you try to set me up with people and hurt them instead.” She placed her hands on her hips. “Is that why you wanted to set me up with Zachary? I bet that's why you're hurting Thomas right now. There's no way you're stupid enough to do it on the frail logic he's not wearing gloves.” Jezebel raised a hand and placed it on her cheek. “I'm not going to lie Faith, a sick part of me wants to hurt your friends back. Just so you know how I feel. But like, I would never do that. It totally got me thinking though....” She gestured at everyone around Faith. “Who are your friends? It's not me, you've made that painfully clear already. I think you want to see me dead more than anyone else in this stupid game. But like, I know Krista isn't one. She just sort of used you for her little murder party. Ice doesn't seem to particularly care for you either. And Alice with the exodus eye doesn't see any reason to trust you.” She folded her arms behind her back. “So tell me, who wants to see you come out on top in this situation? What harm could possibly come from Thomas getting what he wants?” Jezebel turned her head to look at Daimyon, who was still standing in the doorway. “Get that fucking handbook before we have an announcement!” She screamed at him, and he immediately took off out of the room. Once he was gone, Jezebel's eyes rested on Faith again.
While this goes for everyone (but @Crusader Lord brought it to my attention) I would like you to wait until everyone posts before posting again. Not all of the natives have posted, and some of them could be in the vicinity of your characters. You could also bump into an NPC.

*wink wink*
@Red Alice

Frederica von Freytag is accepted, move her over to the character tab.

First post is up, you may begin posting...now.

For Non-natives:

Father Jameson Walker , Alistair Archibald, and Flame Brooks are at the location marked “starting location.”

Nobuhiro Nishioka, Chieko Okawa, and Aerith Hastings are located in suttling's basin, Exact location is probably somewhere under the “suttlings” text.

Aaron Yang, Hilda Gunnarsson, Yuuki Kimura, and Ashton Andrews are in the golden quarter. For simplicity, we'll say they're in the middle of the road with “golden quarter” written across it.

For natives:

Priestella is far from a calm little city. It's apparent that the local bandits have become far too strong for the local law enforcement, and aid has been specifically requested from the king's army to come and clean house. But they won't arrive for another month or so yet. Priestella is on lock down, and only certain privileged people have permits that allow them in and out of the city. An example of some people who might have such permits would be travailing merchants, licensed adventurers, etc.
Suddenly, the world went blank. Everything vanished. The sky, the ground, everything. Even though the sun wasn't in the sky, you were able to see your body. There was no ground, yet there was something under you to stand on. It could have been black granite, but there was no texture. The only other thing you could see was the shape of a man. His skin was as black as night, and was a rather tall, imposing figure. Parts of him flaked off like that of a roaring fire, but he didn't appear to be shrinking. The figure approached, and bowed. It's only then you notice his long nails, shimmering in the darkness.

After taking Talus's hand, Everyone found their word shrouded in darkness. And when that darkness faded, everyone found themselves in the new world that he spoke of.

(just the GM getting their oversized post out of the way, don't mind me)

Everyone found themselves arriving in the “new world” at the same time. But they did not all arrive in the same location.

Father Jameson Walker , Alistair Archibald, and Flame Brooks appeared on seats in an old building. It was very old, as evident by the cobwebs in the corners and dust settling on top of the tables. One could guess that this was a meeting room at one time, but little else was known. There wasn't anyone else inside, but outside they could hear quite the commotion. Someone recruiting knights, someone selling wares, yes, things were happening outside. And for some reason, Alistair was hit with some deja vu, and a chill went up his spine.

Nobuhiro Nishioka, Chieko Okawa, and Aerith Hastings appeared in the back ally of some slum in a medieval town. There were very few people walking around, with most everyone remaining indoors, looking out at them. Everything was eerily quiet, with the hustle and bustle of the other districts far away in the distance.

Aaron Yang, Hilda Gunnarsson, Yuuki Kimura, and Ashton Andrews found themselves transported to a merchants district. Their sudden appearance in the center of the road caught a lot of people off guard, and most found themselves stumbling away from the group. Merchants eyed the newly arrived with caution, clutching onto their wares. Some were closing up shop, and a few pedestrians were running away from them.

One thing was for certain. Wherever they were, it wasn't home.
@Guy0fV4lor@Crusader Lord

Aaron and Aerith are both accepted, you may post them in the character tab.

I have decided to close the RP off for now, as we are getting up there as far as our player count is concerned. The RP will still be open to those who are working on their sheets. (you know who you are)

@Crusader Lord Questions are fine. Better to ask than to not ask.

1: I'm actually not too picky about natives or non-native character ratios at this point. There should be objectively more natives anyway, being that this is their world.

2: I go by a case by case basis, and it depends on what you want to do with your character. Genuinely speaking, your "average" score should be around the C level, but depending on what you want to do with the character, I would let you start with a higher or lower average depending on your character. Like I made Famished drop his score to D/D because he wanted to start with two elements. Though if your character was a paraplegic, we could justify making them magically gifted as a trade off for their lack of movement. But also keep in mind that the weaker a character is, the faster they scale up. so characters with low scores are most likely going to be the first ones to acquire authorities or other powers before everyone else.

I'm a bit less restrictive when it comes to natives, but they don't start with return by death. I'm okay with most stuff as long as it doesn't go too far above the current power scale. But again, weaker natives will get cool stuff faster. But it's a bit harder to really balance natives because there are factors like their race, how wealthy they are, if they're going to help or oppose the non-natives, etc.
