I think to sell someone on an interest check, it's really important to seem enthusiastic about your own idea. That means writing more than a single sentence to attract potential players.

Bio

Did you know that Dante's inferno is called a divine comedy because things work out for the protagonist? Back in the day, the only two genres were comedy and drama. The only difference was that in a comedy, the protagonist is better off at the end, and a drama is the opposite. So that's why a story about going through hell can still be considered a comedy, even if it's not funny.
Name:
Broken Promise, BP, Boss
Age:
Old enough to know better, too young to care. (that is to say 30's)
Preferred RPs:
I Prefer to make my own, but will occasionally join something if it looks interesting. I'll join just about anything so long as it isn’t overly edgy/sweet, though it's rare for me to do. I don't do 1x1s too often either.
Preferred Roles:
I tend to play adorable characters everyone wants to befriend or proper assholes everyone wants to stay away from. I try not to play moral paragons or prime evils.
RP Conquests:
I've completed quite a few RP's off site, but most of them are on private forums or have simply been lost to the ravages of server crashes. As for stuff here, I'm sure everyone who sees me post in the off topic sections has seen me find an excuse to talk about Danganronpa: Tower of Carnage. It's a project that took over 4 years to complete and I feel pride not only for myself but all the wonderful people who helped make it enjoyable during its run. Re: Zero: The High Council Is technically my first, but it was just something I kind of took over and ended up ending the story after just six months. It finished, but eh...
For some reason I can't seem to stay away from Ari's magical girl RP, even if I'm not sure why I'm still in it.
As for my own projects, I'm doing Symphony on High to continue the gigachad adventures of the espers in Pax Septimus.
RP Graveyard:
I've been pretty fortunate on this forum. I think I joined one when I first came on the site that didn't really do anything, and there are a few 1x1 things that didn't go anywhere. It's disappointing when an RP ends before it can be finished, but I've come to look at them as learning experiences.
And then there's that london magical girl RP, and that dark magical girl RP. I think I'm done joining magical girl RPs for a while.
Other interests:
Videos
I watch a lot of educational videos on youtube. Usually as research for something I’m writing or purely because a topic interests me. I like channels like Tier Zoo and Daryl Talks Games, and I’ll also watch things like Critical Drinker or Literature Devil to deepen my understanding of story telling. Though I also like memes and jokes, to which I’ll find myself watching stuff like Sseth, but usually find myself surfing through meme videos. I gotta work on that.
Games
I have a rather long history of playing virtually every platformer to come into existence during the indie boom, as well as quite a few other indie games. I’ve played Meatboy, Binding of Issac, Gunvolt, Cuphead, Princess Remedy in a World of Hurt, Classic Metroid, Warcraft 3, Final Fantasy 7,8, and 14, Left 4 Dead, Shantae, Celeste, Danganronpa, God Eater, the list goes on. What I’ve played is kind of all over the place. I don’t play many games these days, I tend to pick things that look interesting and go on a decent steam sale.
Painting Minis
I do this in moderation. Otherwise, it's a pretty expensive hobby to start...
Music
I listen to everything, save most country/rap songs. I have too many favorites to name.
Personality:
Not one to take life or the internet too seriously. Is only serious about writing well and having a good time.
”Did someone call?” Monokuma's cheery voice came over the coms, and he appeared on a monitor in the center of the study. ”Well Thomas my boy, it's a bit of a gray area admittedly. You did create this situation. However...” Monokuma threw both paws into the air. ”Since you've explained the situation so well to everyone, that means that Faith would be responsible for any damage incurred. Like that one time a guy put poison into some containers and had his classmates throw them at him. You can't argue the students didn't kill him.”
”I see, so he planned this so that he would be absolved of any blame.” Alice Parker stroked her chin with a fourth hand. ”But now he's saying that he won't drop it. Not until the night of carnage rolls around. The situation keeps getting more precarious, for everyone involved.” Parker turned towards Daimyon. ”I still say you shouldn't give it to him however. Look at those scrawny arms, there's no way he can hold that position for sixteen hours.”
Jezebel just watched the spectacle unfold before her eyes without much of a reaction. It was impossible for anyone to tell what was going on in her head, per the usual. Again, she looked to Daimyon. With a groan, she folded her arms and looked at the poet. “Daimyon. Like, just give it to him.”
It took some time, but Veronica was able to commandeer a motorboat to take out towards Silhouette's position. She was in her magical girl uniform, but was wearing a trench coat over it to make herself look less suspicious. She had also taken off her hat, as that looked ridiculous with a trench coat.
“After this, You'd better not be dead.”
Once the boat was close enough to the stone platform, Veronica extended a hand and cause the shadow under the floor to darken until it was completely black. Then the black mass under the floor turned into a giant hand that picked up veronica and placed her on top of the floor with everyone else. She turned towards “Shade” and knelled down by her side. She placed a hand on her wrist and could feel her heart pumping blood through the rest of her body. She wasn't in great shape, but she was alive. Veronica let out a deep sigh before turning to the rest of the group. There were at least two new mint girls, and they may or may not have transformed in front of those that weren't.
“Does anyone know who I am?”
Sue looked over at the newly arived. ”Yes... You're Veronica.” her voice cracked a bit.
“Then we can save some time.” Though Veronica would typically like to keep the ebon girl's identities secret from everyone, she knew a bit about everyone here. Veronica felt those present would keep their identities a secret from everyone to help protect them. “I am here to retrieve all of the new ebon mint girls. Things are going to be a bit different for you now.” The black hand picked up “Shade” and moved her onto the boat. “Those of you who are not with ebon mint may remain here or come with us, but we will be parting ways at the dock.” The hand came up again, this time reaching for Janet's unconscious body. Veronica knew the former beacon girl had defected and was working for Justine, so she could be an important clue to figuring out what was going on. If Sue or Eliza confirmed that Justine was still alive, Janet could contain information about other possible hideouts. “But you must make your choices quickly, because I cannot linger here.”
Sue stood up, wiped away her tears, and started walking towards Veronica. ”Can Helga come with us?”
The coin broker sighed. “It is not ideal, but there shouldn't be any issues if she chooses to follow us beyond the dock.”
”Then I'm coming. I'll see you guys later.” Sue limped over to the edge of the platform and dove off the side. Her wings let her float into the boat without much difficulty. ”Wait, Helga?” Sue looked back up at the platform. ”Did you see what happened to Amber's body? Someone needs to recover it.”
Age: 24/11 | Gender: Female/Female | Illusion, Gravity Body | Power of Friendship, Regeneration | Moirai Wings, Soul Jar, Martial Training, Familiar, Environmental Sealing, Gifted, Awareness, Mystic Artifact
Well, if Veronica was offering, Tonya wouldn't turn her down. She was kind of interested in interrogating Janet herself, so that was another reason to stick by her.
Father Jameson Walker is accepted, you may post him in the character tab. I'm actually interested in seeing how he handles a world that doesn't worship his god.
Emily made plate after plate, but it didn't seem like anyone was coming. Of course it was obvious to her why. They must have been having so much fun at that meeting that they decided to all attend. Well, it didn't really matter. She reminded herself that she was making meals for bliss, who was hopefully catching up on sleep.
But maybe she could peak out the door...
Though after walking out of the kitchen, she was able to see the three original carnage sisters standing in the art plaza. The caretaker dropped down onto her hands and knees and crawled closer to the window, to see if she could hear them.
”It fuckin' sucks!” Geina stomped her feet. ”He killed Nariko? What the fuck man?!”
Alexandria sighed. ”I thought we were unboopable.” she squealed in disgust. ”And I don't like the cut of the new girl's jib!”
”Sisters, relax.” All Willow had to do was place her hands on the two and they calmed down. ”A blow has been dealt to the monarchy that we will not soon recover. But as your queen, I implore you to focus! We are not the same as those blood bag vagrants!” she folded her arms. ”Your queen already has a most savory ruse cooked up, no different than the chief's finest turkey!”
Geina turned to look at the crowned carnage sister. ”What are you talking about.”
Willow leaned in towards Geina. ”One of the vagrants told me that I deserved to rule all, and so I'm ready to put that plan into motion! But first, I need to tell you something.” She leaned in close to Geina's ear. ”whisper whisper whisper whisper whisper whisper whisper whisper whisper whisper whisper.”
”Wow, fuckin' A! That plan is rock solid!” Geina turned around. ”Let's set that in motion right now!”
Willow then turned towards Alexandra. ”And you” She leaned inonce again. ”whisper whisper whisper whisper whisper whisper whisper whisper whisper whisper whisper.”
”Tee-hee!” Alexandra skittered off.
That was pretty strange. With most of the food made, Emily felt pretty good about leaving to tell the others. She just needed to wait for Willow to leave.
Jezabel was all set up to start the meeting when Thomas asked for Mariette's handbook. After locating it, Thomas made some rather strange moves. It ultimately ended with him drawing a vial, and Faith identifying the vile as something powerful enough to blow up everyone in the room.
”Is this true?” Parker was excited by the development, bobbing up and down inside the vault. ”This is fortunate. If he lobs that vile at someone, it's sure to kill them.” She reached out of the vault with one hand and clamped onto the door, as if she was going to attempt to push herself through. ”And then a trial will start, a simple one.” A second arm was flung out of the vault and took hold of the ground. ”It would be a simple case, and I'd be one inch closer to freedom! Then you'd just need to do one more.” A third, considerably larger hand reached out of the gap and clawed at the outside. ”One more! And then I get to go free!”
But the jester broke out into laughter. “Oh Faith, Parker, don't be silly!” She waved her hand dismissively. “If Thomas was going to do something so drastic, he'd totally do it in a way that wouldn't screw him over. Like, You don't threaten everyone with a bomb like a noid and not expect something to happen.” She gestured towards Thomas. “He could, like, blow up the door during the night of carnage and junk if he wanted entry. You two really are way too dramatic.” Jezebel turned to face Daimyon. “So like, you're not going to stop him from entering. He could totally blow the door down.” She crossed her fingers behind her back.
Ashton now fits more in line with the rest of the non-natives. Flame does as well, and his backstory is an improvement. The fact that they are still lovers could pose a problem, but I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt on that. So long as they aren't exclusively interacting with each other all the time.
I am still unsure if I'm going to award a magical boy transformation to both of them. A transformation DB would be quite rare (even among Dbs, which are suppose to be rare), and awarding a second one to ashton's boyfriend feels like something that is more rare than winning the power ball lottery. That's one in a hundred-and-seventy-five-million for anyone wondering. Also to keep in mind that how the character behaves and trains will determine the type of DB he gets. Like Ashton will probably get his “ideal image” if he has an ideal he's constantly striving for. Maybe Flame could have something that serves the same purpose but is a bit different, as he seems more arrogant and probably doesn't have an ideal form. I still say that donning actual costumes would be the easiest way to accomplish this.
However, they are both accepted. You may post them in the character tab.
We talked about his ability to learn, so that's fine.
I see you only lowered one of his scores below C like I asked, which is ok. But because Alistair is starting with two elements, he is going to see growth much slower than the other non-natives, and even some of the natives. This is to account for the extra magical discipline he's learning.
But Alistair Archibald is accepted. You may post them in the character tab.
Gris Ayt Forye may be posted in the character tab now.
Elque Ayt Forye looks good. Much like with Letter Bee's characters, it is not ideal that you have two characters that know each other so well. But if they aren't always together this shouldn't be a problem. You can post her in the character tab as well.
Since the RP hasn't started yet, I'm going to hold off on giving people more than 2 characters until we see how everything is.
Boom, more accepts!
I noticed a few non-natives forgot to include return by death as an abstract magic. Make sure to add that to your sheets.
Description A cunning rogue with wit as sharp as the finest steel.
Appearance Description (optional)
Aer is unusually short for an elf. Her body is very petite, and typically clad in her favorite red vestments. She also wears long, black stockings, and has accessorized herself so much that she could be mistaken for a teenager's flip phone. People joke that she looks like a golden comet when she's seen bounding along roof tops at night. Aer does make use of a cloak to hide her ears when she's moving in unfamiliar teritory.
Personality
Aer Is a cautious sort, never to trust without good reason. She does possess a fair bit of charisma, though she has more of a commanding personality than an attractive one. Aer will typically be the first one to make a decision and expect everyone else to follow her. This however is not the case when she is drunk. She is very light, and it doesn't take much to get her tipsy. It doesn't help that she really likes the taste of good beer. When she's intoxicated, she becomes much more gentle and even flirty, but she tends to come back to her senses quickly. Drunk or not, Aer has very little respect for personal space. She will frequently poke someone's chest to make a point, or clutch their hand when pleading for something. Though she seldom interacts with people intimately, especially when sober. She's also fast with comebacks.
But when the chips are down, she's all fire and brimstone. She'll bark out orders like a pirate captain and not think twice about shooting intimidating words at her opponents. Her determination is unshakable.
Class Rogue: Aer relies on her agility, arcane trickery, and wits to pull her through perilous situations.
Bio
Aer grew up in Kara, which was a small fishing town near Roswaal Manor. She had humble beginnings, but as an only child her parents gave her everything. She had better education than most children in her town, and wore outfits that were just outside her “social status.”
Going into her teens, some unsavory thieves knew they could use the young elf. She helped them steal many valuable items, only to turn the thieves in with their treasure weeks later once she was bored with them. She attempted to steal many other items on her own, always returning what she had taken in secret. It was just innocent fun for a delinquent like Aer.
But her parents knew this wasn't really a good thing. To try to cure her boredom, they had her tutor under a renown spear man named Gerwyn. She learned a lot from the man, and over the years their relationship matured from a student and master to something more akin to lovers. Aer was rapidly approaching adulthood, and she was starting to look at the other sex differently. But their feelings for each other were mutual. Until he betrayed her.
Gerwyn had been using their relationship as an excuse to go to her home and case it out. Her teacher stole her family's life savings and many precious heirlooms before skipping town. He almost got away with it, but the authorities managed to stop him a week later when he visited one of his other “sweethearts.” But this taught Aer a valuable lesson about the damage stealing can cause, even if the item is promptly returned.
Aer knew that she wasn't going to get very far in the town of Kara, and started to drift. Her elf heritage made things difficult, but with her ears covered up most were happy to make use of her services. She currently works for the Gulendam adventurer's guild, which keeps her gainfully employed and running all over the continent. While every adventurer does their fair share of monster slaying, Aer also tends to take requests that make use of her skills. This can involve anything as serious as finding missing or hiding people, or something as mundane as opening a door when the owner locked themselves out.

Aer Pacifica. What a wondrous character. Thank you for gracing us all with this character, which is clearly a gift from the gods. Please put them in the character tab ASAP
All joking aside, I let the co GM look over my character.
I am severely triggered by the fact that you made you character smaller than the wonderful Aer Pacifica.
I think she'll make a good addition to the RP, if I'm being honest. I'd like to know more about her backstory, but we talked about enough via pm. Chiyo Kouko is accepted. Post her in the character tab.
Even though your characters don't have divine blessings, I know you expect them to down the road. So I'm going to treat them like characters that do have Dbs.
Ashton Andrews is fine as a character, but he's still way too strong for the current power scale. He's a doctor, a walking encyclopedia that contains a guide to how to survive in another world, has return by death, and has above normal magic potential. You've also stated you want this character to be a “generalist,” yet they seem to be less of a jack of all trades and more of a master of all trades.
Flame brooks isn't quite as bad. His knowledge is less useful and you at least anticipate that you'd like him to be a mage. But even for a mage, average flow and max tier life energy is extremely high for a non-native. An S is something I'd expect to find on a very small number of natives, and their flow would probably be a bit lower most of the time. I also feel like in this day and age, the level of gay prejudice displayed in his backstory is so incredibly high it's humerus and impossible to take seriously. People can hate him because he's gay, but maybe give him something else that people might actually avoid him for.
Another core problem with these characters is that they are both parts of a half. Flame's angst would make for an interesting character dynamic where he distrusts people and doesn't work well with others. But since he's got heart eyes for his boyfriend, they are able to mesh perfectly. That is to say that they were made to perfectly cover each other's weaknesses. And since they are both controlled by the same person, this feels like a blatant attempt at power gaming. This team of two has all kinds of knowledge, is magically stronger than most natives submitted to the RP this far, can return by death, and they haven't even acquired their magical boy transformations.
Even in the late game, I'm not sure it would be possible to give either character a magical boy transformation without seriously upsetting the power scale of the RP. They're already very capable mages, and giving them something like that feels excessive. Surely you can understand how powerful these two are together?
My suggested corrections for Ashton are to tone down everything:
-Make him a vet, fine, but don't also make him a doctor.
-I'm not sure a guide to the world of Re: Zero could ever make it into our world, so that should be removed entirely.
-Also, his magic is very strong for a generalist. So unless you want to spec him as a mage, I'd lower it to something more reasonable. I could at least consider giving him a magical boy DB down the road if he was something closer to C/C.
-Alice also suggested just having him go chuuni and dressing up like a magical boy. Alternatively, you could make Ashton a native. That might be the best option for him, but he'd need to be reworked quite a bit. He would know about the world for free however, and could justify starting out with a DB. But he won't start with return by death.
Flame just needs to have his life energy reduced a bit. You could do an A, but a B or C would make it easier (read: faster/possible) to get him a DB magical boy transformation down the road. I'd also like to see his back story made a bit more believable.
Looks good. I like how you listed all of her items. Hilda Gunnarsson is accepted, you may post her in the character tab.
EDIT: I noticed you removed everything, two can play at that game!
Hilda Gunnarsson
"Hope for the best and assume the worst."
19 | Female | 61 kg (135 lbs) | 163 cm (5'4") EarthDona | Non-Native | Human
Description At a glance, Hilda is an easygoing and loyal hedonist with bitter and sweet sides. She aims to dress in clothes and accessories that are comfortable but stylish by modern Earth standards, shunning low quality or ostentatious garb. Her attitude is typically serious or lightheartedly sarcastic, her posture is usually relaxed into a slight slouch, and her mind generally swings between serene calm and intense contemplation.
Appearance Description Hilda is a 163 cm, 61 kg, 20% body fat, dark brown eyed, fair skinned, oval faced, dark brown and straight haired, youthful human female with a few freckles on the bridge of her nose. Her current attire consists of a grey turtleneck sweater made of cotton, white long sleeve button up shirt made of linen, black elastic sweat pants made of cotton, white sneakers, gold plated luxury diving watch with a thin black strap made of leather, and black shoulderbag made of leather.
Personality On the surface, Hilda appears to be a self contradicting individual in many respects. She can be bluntly outspoken about grave matters with a passionate and kind zeal, just as she can present a polite and reserved face to callous and jaded selfishness. While her values fluctuate, her core principles are much slower to change: being determined to achieve goals, seeking knowledge for self improvement's sake, considering the well being of those around her, and treating herself to the finer things in life.
Hilda is slow to forget suspicious people, let alone forgive those who wrong her, but she will occasionally reflect on past events from their imagined perspectives. Trust is very important to her, both given and received, yet she is not above casually fabricating, twisting, or obfuscating facts to protect herself and others. Hilda's empathy and kindness is present even when she is destitute, and has a tendency to increase proportionally with her means and the recipient's desperation.
Bio Born to a pair of lifelong lovebirds that never got married, Hilda grew up getting used to moving around. Though her parents weren't obscenely wealthy, they could afford to move across the United States multiple times. Hilda resented being dragged with her parents whenever they had issues with each other, and spent many summers working towards living on her own. To keep herself busy, she picked up hobbies like chess, origami, fishing, binge watching TV shows, and preparing for the zombie apocalypse.
In spite of her parents' unusual relationship, Hilda formed many long lasting bonds that still persist to this day, and strove to realize her dreams more often than not. She made an effort to keep in touch with her continuously expanding social circle, even if she oftentimes forgot about old contacts for disparate reasons. Hilda rarely shied away from having a good time, sometimes to her own detriment, which eventually resulted in her and her friends getting mugged during a routine late night out on the town.
Hilda and her friends survived the ordeal physically unscathed by giving up their possessions, but the event itself made her question the way she lived life. She gradually turned apathetic and pragmatic, and was more cautious around others. Hilda studied and taught herself martial arts, focused on her physical health, and even excised entire swaths of people from her social life. But the party didn't stop, at least not until she was pulled into another world while looking for her keys and charger.
Grisaia Vertti is almost there. I like how he's sort of a summoner that relies on his shield to defend himself while he's waiting for his mana to restore. But Alice and I think that the shield could be made more interesting. One suggestion was that Grisaia could use any element as long as it was to shield themselves. Another idea was that Grisaia could make an unbreakable shield, but it only covers a small portion of his body. Like a real shield, only it holds up to magic better. But we'd like you to take a crack at making it a bit less strange.
I like how his DB lends itself to him being a teacher character who can help some of the other characters along. But Gris Ayt Forye is an oni, so naturally he's all kinds of stronk, unless he's missing his horns or something. His DB should just allow him to teach really well, and not also let him learn fast.
Chieko Okawa's magic feels a little strong for a non-native spellblade. I'd drop her down to B+/ C- to better mesh with her fighting style. Then she can be accepted.
Mie Yukima, aka edgy fox grill, is accepted. You may post her in the character tab.
The word adversity simply doesn't exist for Alistair Archibald. He has two types of magic, one of which is rare, and somehow without a divine blessing. His ability to use magic is higher than almost all native characters. SSS rank flow doesn't even exist. He's “talented” and just seems to pick up any skill he wants with relative ease. He's good at talking to people, good at fighting, and good at any random activity he decides to partake in. You're even brazen enough to mention he doesn't have any abstract magics “as of now,” like he might acquire even more power later on.
While you've billed Alistair as a mage, you've given him the tools to become a “master of all trades.” The only real hindrance is that he needs to practice a skill to become good with it, and because he's arrogant not everyone will want to work with him. But those are both very minor when you realize he has return by death and basically has an unlimited amount of time to master anything he chooses. The character has no real weaknesses.
Alistair Archibald is going to need to be toned down significantly if he wants to get into the RP.
-Reduce the number of things he's excellent at to just a handful. He can keep that air of pompousness without being a prodigy at everything.
-Decide how important it is to have two types of magic. If he's going to start off with two, his magic scores should be below the average level of C.
-If he's not going to have two magics, you can give him a strong magic stat. But nothing at S, and certainly no A/A on both stats. B/B would be okay, but don't expect to get any abstract magics anytime soon.
-If you insist on keeping his ability to learn everything at an alarming rate, then he is not a mage. He'll be forced to have one type of magic and average magic stats, and function as a generalist.
And with that, the first round of accepts have been sent out.
If you were accepted, great, if not, just make those suggested changes. If you have any questions, you can pm me or @Red Alice , or post in the character review section on the discord.
I'm probably not going to start things for another week, so you have plenty of time to make edits or post the first rendition of your character.

So that's why a story about going through hell can still be considered a comedy, even if it's not funny.
I Prefer to make my own, but will occasionally join something if it looks interesting. I'll join just about anything so long as it isn’t overly edgy/sweet, though it's rare for me to do. I don't do 1x1s too often either.
Last RP I finished was Symphony of Espers which turned out pretty good.
RP's in progress:

I do this in moderation. Otherwise, it's a pretty expensive hobby to start...
