@Azereiah Sorry to see you go man, feel free to come back someday if you want!.

So, to @t2wave@Hawlin@Xandrya@Silver Carrot@Banana@Dealdric@BKburke, we're what remains. I think the best course of action from here is a jump ahead to the final bit of the current mission, I would want one post from everybody, just to close out this chapter of the story, and then we'd time jump ahead several months to continue sans all of those who've dropped. All in favor of this, reply back and let me know, if there's anyone else who doesn't feel like continuing, also reply to let me know, or pm me so your character can be properly written out.
"Your naivety speaks volumes kid. These pieces of shit right here knew exactly what they were doing when they signed up. They all know it's a commitment for life. They might stop for a bit, do some good deeds, but sooner or later, they come back down among the rats and roaches. To rape again, kill again, ruin the lives of decent, hardworking people who deserve better."

He paced the width of the alleyway, listening for the sirens, they'd be here soon, so things needed to wrap up quickly.

"I'm not delusional, I know I'm no saint. Ain't no paradise or everlasting happiness waiting for a guy like me at the end of the tunnel, so there's no stopping this whole thing until the day comes when all the scumbags are in the morgue or the bullet finds me."
"It's the only way to really stop them." He said simply, smirking at her naivety "Trust me, you'll learn that someday."

She was capable, that much was clear from the way she handled those goons in the fight, but still too young, too soft to really make an impact.

"You don't come down this way often, do you? Scum like this are just the tip of the iceberg. I'm doing the world a favor here."
A short while after the teams had reunited, Stryker called for everyone to gather around down in the common area, seeing as there wouldn't be enough space in the War Room for the full crews of both the Revenant and Maelstrom.

"Good work out there" Stryker began "We definitely have enough of their armor to move forward with the next stage of the plan. Gonna take us a few hours to get everything ready, I won't be saying this very often, but take a break everyone, rest up while you can because once we put boots on the ground, I'm gonna need all of you at 100%. That's it, dismissed"

@Banana@Simple Unicycle

As usual, the pilots hadn't seen fit to leave the cockpit for a group meeting, so Stryker made his way up there.

"Good work out there" he said as he entered "Got some coordinates for you to punch in, we won't be going back to Serros directly. There's no one over on the Maelstrom right now, so retract the docking bridge and clamp her onto us. We'll be sending a small team back to Serros on her, but only after we hit the halfway point of this trip. We're heading to a planetary system just barely inside Federation territory, Li'Tamma system, planet Rokarr. Exact coordinates are on this drive."

@BKburke@Azereiah

As the meeting concluded, SAL hurried to sequester Tobi and the nearest Ren platform

"I'd like to analyze your combat data Tobi, to examine if the programming parameters are appropriately set" he addressed the Ren platform "I may require some assistance, please follow me to the lab."

@Xandrya

Grayson found Amy shortly after the meeting was adjourned. He laid a hand on her shoulder to let her know he was there.
"Hey, I just heard what happened back there, you ok? I'm supposed to head up to the armory, help patch up some of that armor for the next stage, but they can wait a minute."

@Silver Carrot@Dealdric (OOC: Since we're already back on the ship, I guess we'll have to assume the follow-up to Lexi and Lataniva's conversation was slightly postponed)

"We shall see" Lataniva stated, she reached out with her psionic abilities and finished the conversation telepathically, making a point of not moving her mouth in the slightest.

"I'm already in your head."

Knowing the words would be rattling around in Lexi's head, Lataniva headed off to find Taleste, they hadn't spoken in a while and Lataniva enjoyed her way of speech, it was quite unique from anything she had ever come across.

@t2wave@Hawlin

As the common area began to clear out, Carver made his way over to Kaeci and Harriet.
"You kids playing nice?" he joked as he took a seat across from the two of them.
"So, business first, seems like both of you may be coming with me back to Serros, we've got a small bit of business to take care of under cover of night. Gonna need one of you to get in contact with Vanderos, let him know that there's gonna be some bodies dropping there and that he's not to get involved. Apart from that, Stryker just wanted me to tell you, he had your things transferred to a couple of rooms here on the Revenant. Harriet, you're in number 4, Kaeci, number 11."
Reaper grunted in response, nonchalantly holstering his pistol. He had done pretty well for himself, about half of the group, each killed with a single shot, except one stubborn bastard who needed a second hole in him to go down. He made his way over to the victim, she was already on her phone, cops would be here soon no doubt. He laid a hand on her shoulder and gave a solemn nod, a silent 'you're ok now, I'm not gonna hurt you' before turning on the other, the costumed girl.

"I've seen you on the news" he growled, his voice hoarse from lack of use "Never figured you'd be so young."
@Silver Carrot Yeah for sure. I'm gonna try and get a post together before bed, so stay tuned!
He had a name once.

He had a life once. He had fought and bled to get that life in some of the worse hellholes the world had to offer. He had spilled blood for that life. He had suffered and lost for that life. And when the fighting was done, he laid down his arms and walked into heaven on Earth. He had it all: A nice house, good friends, a beautiful wife, a steady job. And the light of his life- a little angel named Emily.

Not anymore.

A cruel twist of fate took away everything in an instant. All that was left was pain.

And a thirst for vengeance.

They called him many things. Vigilante. Mass murderer. Menace. Serial killer. A necessary evil. To the scum he wiped out night after night, he was simply called Reaper.

Reaper heard the woman's cries for help, the gangsters talking among themselves and then to someone else. As he rounded the corner to the alleyway, he saw the men, all looking away from him, the victim, squirming against her captor. And at the far end, standing over a freshly-fallen foe, was a girl in a costume.

He had heard the rumors of a vigilante in the city, though she never usually came down this far. Whatever the reason for her being here, it changed nothing for Reaper. His trusty combat-knife in hand, he stomped up behind the man holding the woman, tapped him on the shoulder, and as soon as the gangster's neck was exposed, sliced his throat. The woman screamed as she sprang free from the (soon-to-be) dead man's limp grasp. The scream drew the attention of his buddies, but Reaper had already drawn out a 9mm pistol and while they were still caught off guard, popped the two closest to him, a single headshot each.
Ever so slightly awkward final post to that phase of the mission is now live, so yeah, we're all finally reunited. I think the plan is going to be for just a little bit of downtime before we move forward. I still haven't decided exactly what we're gonna do between just continuing on as is through the plan, or just jumping things ahead to the finale. Floor's open if anyone wants to chime in on this.

In the meantime, Grayson, SAL, Arex, Lataniva, Joe and the various members of the Maelstrom crew minus Kira, Carver, and Marcus are all available to hang out if anyone wants to get something going.

The Nekross had vanished, but just as Marcus was wondering where she'd gone, a blaring alarm and the sudden whooshing of oxygen being sucked into the vacuum of space told him everything he needed to know. Exasperated, he yelled into the team comms.

"Lexi! Get back in here goddamnit! Someone plug that hole before we all suffocate!" As he walked back to look up at the hole in the hull, the Dalentian, Lataniva was already hard at work weaving a psionic barrier over it. When it was sealed off, the alarm cut out, and Marcus was able to observe the corpses at their feet, swarming with small creatures. He looked over at Lataniva.
"Can you deal with this? Don't want those things to spoil the armor if we need it"
With a flick of her wrist, the Bolgates were flung into the air and stayed suspended.
"Control your beasts, and yourself, or I will do it for you" Lataniva said to Lexi, a slight hint of venom in her voice.

Grayson and the rest of the attack team had finished off the pirates, if there were any still alive on this bucket, they were in hiding, or locked out of this cargo area. While Joe and Ian got to work prying bits of armor off of corpses, Grayson and SAL were checking the corners while Vulcaan and the others were planting explosives. Grayson found a locked door, and if his cyber-eye's translation of the Perideian script was correct, he had discovered their armory.
"SAL, come here"
The robot walked over and after a short and unsuccessful attempt to pry open the door by hand, SAL loaded an explosive shot into his shotgun and blasted through the console, shorting out the locks and opening the door. Inside, they found rack after rack of weapons and ammo, and in the back, a row of helmets, most of which seemed to fit human-sized heads. Over a few minutes, the team wrangled together enough complete sets of armor to consider the mission a success, they loaded it into a couple of portable crates and radioed for Tibulus and Ace to bring the ship in.

@Xandrya@Silver Carrot

"You're ok Amy? Good" Kira said, lowering her weapon "We're getting out of here in a minute Taleste, hold steady and watch for any wayward hostiles"
The shooting had stopped, so she tapped into the comms to communicate with the others.
"What do you hear Marcus?"
A pause.
"Nothin' but the rain sister"
"Well, grab your gun and bring the cat in. Airlock secured, ready for exit when you are."
"Copy that, package secured, moving to you now." Marcus replied.

The remainder of the mission went off without a hitch, Revenant was able to dock and the team filed on, taking their hard-won prize with them. As the ship gained distance, Kira made her way up to the cockpit and clapped the pilots on the back.
"You did good, both of you. Now for the grand finale, we oughta be far enough away now, cut speed and spin us around, ready the guns"
One shot from the main cannon was enough to punch a hole through the ship and trigger their explosives. The vessel splintered apart at the seams, propelling debris out everywhere at high velocity.

"Perfect, now Farek and his goons will have no way of figuring out what happened until it's too late. Get us back to the rendevous point, I'm sure Alessio and Stryker are sick of waiting."

@t2wave@Hawlin@Tickout@baranica

When the ships reconvened and linked together, Stryker and Carver came across to the Revenant, leading a pair of unfamiliar faces. They introduced Kaeci and Harriet to the others before pulling Kira and Marcus into a meeting in Stryker's quarters, presumably to go over the mission and prepare for the next step in the plan.

So yeah, as mentioned in the little ooc note to everyone in the latest post, I've come up with a few ways of changing the plans slightly to get us to the end of this mission a bit faster, maybe it's just me that feels this, but I think I over-planned things for this one. I wanted to imbue it with a sense of epicness, like this is the end of 'chapter 1' of our little adventure, but in the process of that, I think I over-complicated it all with all these phases and whatnot. Again, maybe it's just me being a tough critic on my own writing, but either way I want to get some opinions before I lock this new plan in.

Option 1 is just keep trucking away at the mission as we are. We'll slowly but surely make our way through the remaining 3 phases.

Option 2 is speed-run it. We'll clear the remaining bit of phase 2, along with all of phase 3 and 4 as quick as we can, like perhaps a maximum of 3 posts each per phase, and then we'll do the entirety of phase 5 as it's planned.

Option 3 is, once we clear out phase 2 in this next round of posting and head back to the ship for a moment, bring all the various groups back together and whatnot, I'll do a super long post that covers the events of phases 3 and 4, sets up phase 5 and kicks it all off so there's no real delay and we can get right down to business chopping away at Sol's remaining forces.

So, I'm finalizing a few things in the phase 5 plan, NPC deaths and whatnot, and I had an idea, since the end of this mission is meant to be like a 'season finale'/end of chapter 1 kind of deal, I wanted to get you guys involved, hence the pm I sent to everyone a few days ago. So I wanted to ask this question of each of you, you can reply here or in the pm: Sol's got a bunch of lieutenants and various other higher-ups in his army we need to take out, do you want your character to be involved in a 1 on 1 fight with one of these guys, or would you rather just get the chance to tear through an army of grunts?
Any alternate options or ideas, fling them my way!

One last thing, a bit of bad news because sadly, Dark Light has decided to drop out. Arex is gonna be relegated to NPC status until I figure out what to do with him.
