Rider took Snegurochka's hand with his less injured hand, bringing himself to stand up, rather proudly despite his injured state. Having met such a ferocious opponent such as Lancer filled Rider with hope that his other opponents in this war would be just as formidable, if not more-so. Even if that weren't the case, Rider still had a rematch with Lancer he was looking forward to as well. For now however, Rider had earned a respite for tonight, and likely a scolding from his Master due to his reckless fighting style, though Rider did not mind if he were reprimanded for something like that.

As Rider began to help the maiden onto Karushka however, he started to notice another presence that followed the two of them. At first, he moved to draw his spear. However, Rider quickly realized that this presence was different from Lancer's... something more familiar, at that. Taking a quick glance behind him, Rider noticed movement. Whoever was following them was likely planning to take advantage of the situation, though thankfully it most likely wasn't an Assassin, or at least a good Assassin; Rider could still sense the being's presence tailing him, and relying on spiritual form to hide is a useless endeavor when dealing with another spiritual being such as a Servant. Instead, Rider continued to help Snegurochka atop Karushka before taking a moment to contemplate.

We're being followed, Milord... not by Lancer, but some sort of beast or familiar. Clearly either a weaker Servant or a familiar of a Servant. Perhaps a Caster had decided to watch our bout? In any case, I think I have enough in me to fight it without the need of a Command Spell. I can just continue on my way as well, but it would be troublesome if it followed us. What are your orders?
I personally could use some more Type-Moon in my life. Color me tentatively interested.

"From where I come from, jousting without a horse is already breaking the rules, so I hope you don't mind me breaking them as well! Take flight with me, Lancer! Our battlefield shall be both the earth and the stars!"

Rider's grin grew from ear to ear as he watched his opponent dance across the field, dodging and defending against his arrows with ease. While he had expected to continue their "joust" from the skies, he was happier with this outcome. Surely if they were to continue their bout from before, it would lead to either of them being defeated so early into the War, which isn't something Rider wanted, win or lose. He did not wish to eliminate an opponent who had caused him to react with his strength so early in this war, but he also did not wish to disappoint his Master with losing himself in the battle so early on. Instead, Rider chose to learn as much about his opponent as he could for the night, while having a bit of his own fun.

Based on the state of the battlefield, Rider seems to be getting a bit too carried away. The mana he used to fire his arrows was starting to build up, even moreso now that he was in flight. Rider didn't need to fire away in excess either, having the skill to also qualify in the Archer class container (though his Noble Phantasm wouldn't be a bow, in that case), but he couldn't aim properly even if it were his intentions to; Lancer's remark on Rider's arm hit its mark, still aching from their first exchange of blows. Despite this, Rider's flurry at least gave him more insight on Lancer, namely from Lancer's lack of maneuverability in the air. For sure, Lancer was using a Noble Phantasm to accomplish such bursts given its output of power, but that couldn't be it, could it? Surely, if he were to use that ability to its fullest, perhaps not even the strength of Svyatogor alone would be a match. Rider would need to go all-out from the start with this knight in the future...

For now, Lancer's lack of ability to take to the skies was something Rider easily took advantage of, either batting away at his attacks with an armored fist or using Karushka's advantage of movement to avoid those attacks. His onslaught of arrows was relentless, but even he had a feeling Lancer would be able to break that distance soon. Their next clash filled Rider with anticipation, the strength building up within him ready to meet with its opponent. And soon, that moment came to a realization as Lancer finally intersected with the mounted duo.

"My arms are the columns that hold the Motherland steady, Lancer! Even if bruised and battered, they will never fail to uplift my nation!"

Rider's eyes met his opponent's with an equal amount of resolve, his smile never fading. With all his might and half of the giant's strength that he had built up earlier, he swung his still-armored hand at an uppercut, to once again deflect Lancer's strike. Rider gritted his teeth as their attacks clashed, almost struggling to complete his own, but Rider still kept smiling to avoid showing Lancer his weakness. His bruised arm, dropping his bow as it faded away, was cocked back and curled into a fist.

Are you watching, Milord? This move was not named after you, but I hope you still enjoy it!

Launching his wounded arm forward, Rider's fist opened up to a palm, bulging as it takes in the other half of Svyatogor's strength. Slamming his open palm towards Lancer's chest, Rider screamed from the pain as he unleashed this next strike, veins bursting with blood.

"Vladimir Smash!"

Rider's hand had barely touched Lancer's chest, but it was still enough to slam him back onto the blasted field that was once part of Hibiya Park from its force alone, likely destroying what's left of it should Lancer fail to stop his descent somehow. A defensive attack made with the intention of pushing back all hostile forces, named after a city in Kievan Rus as well as the rightful lord that Rider swore himself to in his lifetime, Prince Vladimir the Fair-Sun. While such an attack with this output of power would normally prove a mere hindrance when faced off on equal ground, its true strength is clearly shown in battles taking place in the heavens, where the aggressor would face both the force of Rider's attack as well as the pull of gravity.

"Your skills at jousting are unparalleled, Lancer! Truly you are the Knight of the Spear! But my steed and I are like the clouds above, and as such the skies are our domain! I don't doubt your ability to pierce the heavens with your drill-like spear, but I'm afraid that will have to wait another day..."

Karushka made its descent once more, staying just above the ground as it made near landfall, as maneuvering through the craters left by their battle would be much harder than just flying over them. Rider could barely move his left fist, though his right was still mostly functional. He used a lot of magical energy in that fight, and if his Master isn't convulsing on the floor in pain like some hobo filled with bugs, he likely would be should Lancer decide that their fight was not yet over. Landing next to Snegurochka, Rider slumped off his horse into a sloppy kneel, a bloodied fist slamming lightly onto the earth below. It was obvious that he was tuckered out, but Rider still maintained a smile nonetheless.

"I'm sorry I couldn't win this fight, Miledi... but I hope Milord is pleased at my strength."

Taking a deep breath, Rider's smile only grew immensely at Lancer's display of power. It seemed as if Rider's assumption of Lancer's speed was true as he blazed forth at such a blinding speed. What Rider hadn't anticipated was his opponent meeting his charge with an attack so extreme, Lancer's spear ripping through the World like it were paper. If Lancer was capable of making such a charge, then Rider knew he needed to take this fight more seriously than he had initially began.

Karushka steered to the side, away from Lancer's monstrous charge at an attempt to both mitigate its damage and help position its Rider to safety. Faster as it may be on an extended sprint, even Karushka would not be able to meet the burst speeds of a standard Servant, let alone one as fast as this Lancer. Rider knew this as well, and leaned far to the side seemingly avoid the brunt of Lancer's blow, as if he was falling off his horse to the side. Of course, even if he tried his best to just avoid the attack, the best that would come out of it would be Rider's shoulder being ripped apart by that drill-like spear. No, Rider had no intention to try and avoid the attack. Instead, Rider was leaning away to position himself for his own attack...

"Chernigov Smash!"

Throwing a hook with all his might, Rider's fist flew to the side of Lancer's spear with a sudden burst, slamming it off-course with the weight of a mountain flying at the speed of a freight train! Servants were existences that exceeded a normal human so much that even a weak Servant's attack could be compared to that of a ballistic missile... but the strength behind Rider's blow was insane.. To compare, if the energy surrounding Lancer's charge is akin to that of a monster's aura, the output of power in Rider's punch is also equivalent to the strength of a monster's. If Rider had known his opponent could charge like that, he would have done away with his own spear in the first place! A true hero meets such a threat with his fists, after all! Needless to say, the shockwave produced from their exchange of blows would have likely caused the earth below to erupt with snow and dirt.

Laughing giddily at Lancer's "Horseless Jousting" after their exchange of blows, Rider commanded his steed to take to the skies, replacing his spear with a mighty horseman's bow. Karushka leaped, soaring upward as its speed began to pick up, soon flying just as naturally as a bird or a plane. But how could such a normal horse, strong as it may be, fly without any wings?

"Even if you were the best horse in the world, it wouldn't matter! Understand this, Lancer... if there is a limit set, then to us it is merely an obstacle to surpass! To exceed expectations is the true power of both myself and my steed... Even something as impossible as flying without wings or any sort of propulsion is something we are able to do together!"

Rider clenched the fist he used to clash with Lancer's attack, sprained and smoking from both dealing and receiving such an output of power. The armor surrounding his fist up to just past his elbow had burned away from the attack. Attempting to "joust" with a knight such as Lancer any further with the injury he sustained would be unwise for the duration of this battle. For now, Rider instead chose to rely on his superior aerial mobility. Of course, if Lancer was able to produce a burst of power like his opening attack suggested, there wasn't anything, there likely wasn't stopping him should he choose to just charge upward. Taking another deep breath, Rider welled more of Svyatogor's strength within him, preparing once again to meet Lancer's charge with a fist should he need to.

Milord... if you can, please advise Miledi to flee to a safe place.

And so Rider began to bombard Lancer with a volley of arrows. While they didn't carry the strength of Svyatogor, they were still strong enough to blow holes in the earth and cause snow to fly. Rider made sure to hold back on his strength, being careful not to harm Snegurochka with any collateral damage and also conserving his magical energy. That aside, Rider was certain Lancer would be fast enough to dodge his arrows, and as such focused his flurry of attacks not on accuracy, but on overwhelming might, eager to see how his opponent would meet his attacks.

"Would believe me if I said I was also a Lancer?"

Chuckling along with his jest, Rider's seemingly perpetual smile grew wider his challenger approached, also bearing a spear. Climbing atop Karushka, who stood beside him, Rider quickly adjusted himself before looking at his opponent once more. A knight and a spearman, likely to have more mobility than Rider given his class. However, this only takes into account if Rider happened to be off his steed. Confident in Karushka's ability to keep up with his faster opponent, Rider sat comfortably atop his mount as he met Lancer's gaze with a look of determination.

"Heroic Spirit of the Mount, Rider! It's a pleasure to have my first fight against another knight! I hope you don't mind if I start things out. Surely a Knight of the Spear should be fast enough to meet my charge!"

And with that, Rider stirred Karushka into an earnest charge. To the human eye, Rider's horse seemed to break the distance at the blink of an eye, deceptively fast for a steed bearing the monumental weight of Rider's mountain-like form. However, to a Servant, its speed was just as expected. Avidly, Rider rode forth, eager for his spear to clash against his opponent's.

Karushka soon made its descent onto an open field within the heart of Eastern Tokyo. It was this park that Rider believed would be the perfect place to begin the Holy Grail War in earnest. Indeed, there were few other locations within the city that could have been more fitting, as unbeknownst to Rider, many of his enemies indeed flocked the center of this vast metropolis as well. Even then, this particular park seemed to also have a sort of historical connection to the Motherland as well, vague as it may be. As Karushka finally landed onto the snowy field, Rider dismounted at once, offering a hand to Snegurochka so that she may come off as well.

"What do you think, Miledi? It isn't too cold for you, right?" Rider laughed at his own joke, scratching behind Karushka's ear while looking out to the snow-filled landscape.

"Such an open place in the middle of this city's bound to draw some attention from our enemies. Open enough so that I don't have to be too careful with my strength, too! All we need to do is wait for any challengers... Miledi, has Milord fitted you with some sort of way to draw attention to us? As much as I'd like to proclaim a challenge vocally, I wouldn't want to wake the rest of the city with my bellowing voice! We might draw the wrong kind of attention with that."

Rider procured his weapon, a mighty spear fit more for slaying titanic beasts rather than fighting other heroes. It looked unwieldy, too heavy to deliver swift thrusts, but in Rider's hands it looked as light as the air. Indeed, all of Rider's weapons were made with his mighty strength in mind, as most mundane weapons that he had wielded in the past (including the broken sword his Master utilized as a catalyst) broke under the might of his monstrous strength alone. Leading Karushka a few meters away from Snegurochka, Rider took a deep breath as he awaited his first challenger, his arms flexing with anticipation as Rider felt his strength well within.

Rider chuckled to himself at the circumstances at play. Who would've known he would serve another Vladimir in this war? Surely a man who shared the same name as his rightful Prince would surely be a righteous man in his own right, especially if he were a descendant of Grandfather Frost! Rider smiled to himself as the image of his Master delivering gifts to the good boys and girls on a troika came to mind. Rider, himself, recalls his childhood where he tried his best to be a good boy despite being confined to a bed.

"A descendant of Ded Moroz, aye? Ad I see you've surely got Snegurochka helping you out!" Rider states as he watched the Snow Maiden do her work, amazed at his Master's display of magecraft. While he had encountered sorcerers and other spellcasters in his lifetime, he never truly took the time to appreciate their art to the fullest. Standing up from his kneeling position, Rider stretched his meaty fingers outward before crossing his arms.

"Very well, Milord. The war has already begun, has it? Let us seek out our enemies in earnest and show them all our strength!"

???, Bunkyō Ward > The Skies

Like a shooting star, Rider soared through the night skies of Tokyo atop a mighty steed. Karushka was its name, a stallion almost as black as the night. Ilya stared at awe as he watched the city lights down below. To think that the modern world was full of such wonders of man. Mankind truly has flourished in the coming years. Rider would only wonder what his own homeland looked like. If only this Holy Grail war had taken place in the Motherland....

I the end, Rider just laughed the thought away, realizing that having a war take place in Russia would only invite destruction to his home.

"Ahahaha, we can see everything from up here, Miledi! Karushka will find us a fight in no time!" Rider hollered to his partner, Vladimir's beautiful snowy companion, who was ordered to accompany Rider on his search for the other Servants. And sure enough, Rider would soon find the fight he sought after as he and his steed dominated the skies of Tokyo...

Emotional State - Screaming Internally

Resources: WTL: 15 | SAN: 90

Nobu: "AI? Interesting."

Nobu never cared about what others thought of him. Well, he did, but he tells himself he doesn't all the time. It didn't matter if his fellows believed him to be just as weird as the girl standing near him as long as he, himself was right. At this time, however, it frustrated Nobu that he wasn't able to determine the significance behind those two specific numbers he spotted by chance. There was no way someone would leave their grave quote as "137 days" without any significance behind that specific number, much less someone who was supposedly born in 2047. There had to be a logical solution behind why his eyes met such a peculiar gravestone, and more importantly, why there's no death date...

The threats of a third party reminded Nobu of the dangers concerning the situation he found himself in.

Nobu: "... Spawn point? What?"

The stranger stepped forward, procuring a knife while threatening Nobu for all his things. It was moments like these where Nobu couldn't help but scream... the vagrant wasn't even holding his knife right! If he's against multiple opponents, he should keep the knife by his hip so that he may use the extra momentum in his sweeping strikes! Nobu was sure that's how it worked, keeping himself distracted by how incorrect their potential robber's stance is so that he wouldn't piss himself from the very real fact that there's a man holding him at knife point. Taking a deep breath and biting his tongue, Nobu slowly started to shuffle his bag to his front, keeping eye contact with his assailant while slowly shuffling towards Chikako, making sure she was close enough in case he needed to push her in the way pull her out and run.

Nobu: "... L-look, just stay back and I'll get my stuff in my bag. I'm holding sensitive electronics and they'll break if you make me drop them."

Despite the calm look on his face, Nobu was physically shaking. He slowly wore his backpack backwards- or was it forwards, in this case?-, opening it as he began to look inside. He started with placing the bread in the bag before a realization hit him: Nobu was in a hostage situation. The use of hostages is to create leverage for the aggressor so that his demands may be met...

... and the best way to resolve a hostage situation is to eliminate the hostage.

Nobu quickly moved the bread near his mouth, opening it as if he were threatening to eat it. He quickly glanced at Chikako as if telling her to follow his lead, before giving a very angry (and very scared) glare at the robber's direction.

Nobu: "Not so fast! What you really want is food, right? Well this is the last piece of food we have! Take another step towards either of us and I will eat it! Having the rest of our stuff will mean nothing if you die of starvation now, huh? Leave us be however, and I'll give you the bread and... you know what? You can have my school jacket for free too! Sounds like a good deal... right?"

It wasn't a smart idea, but Nobu isn't the smartest person, either. Worst case scenario would be that the man decides to attack Chikako. She's far more useful alive than dead, and more importantly... Nobu actually didn't want to be alone. He didn't want to think about the notion of one of his classmates dying in front of his eyes because of something he did or didn't do... for one, it would prove his Accurate Augury Assimilator wrong. No, Chikako dying was something that he needed to avoid at all costs.

The next worst thing would be if the hobo charged him instead. Nobu was wearing his backpack in a way where the front of his torso would be mostly protected, which gave him ample protection against any stabs from the largest portion of his body. Of course, this also meant Nobu's laptop would get stabbed, and...

Okay, that can't happen, either.
