Back when dinosaurs ruled the Earth, I got started with writing online on the Spore forums. Man, those were the days. We're talking like 12 years ago 2010-ish!

I've been here on and off for almost as long, and have GM'd a bunch of different things to varying success.

I'll write up a CS just in case

Don't worry, I'm sure that Voltus will let you in.

That middle continent on the map is still pretty empty.
<Snipped quote by Cyclone>My original NS said that Yllendthyr has good chemical industry. i don't wish to be on par with nations who are notably the "best" in the field but we do keep up. Or specialty is rather engines, jets and rockets. Elves love the speed and their religion would be pleased if the gain the capability to reach the stars.
And for some reason I thought your nation would rather hunt the Gnomes and put them into camps.

The reason that the Commonwealth is so heavily mechanized, industrialized, and technologically advanced is because Qualia had a large gnomish and dwarven population. Despite being in the empire's heartlands, Qualia is mostly highland and desert and so it was kind of a frontier province where all the outcasts clustered together. They essentially started the Industrial Revolution that allowed Qualia to grow, otherwise Kataylabinsk would have probably retaken all the southern regions ocne the Holy Moravian Empire collapsed.

So essentially, dwarves and gnomes are too intertwined with the Commonwealth's history, not to mention that they still prove useful and have a disproportionate amount of political power considering that they are vastly outnumbered by humans.

Make no mistake, "lesser" races like trolls would probably end up in work camps or systematically exterminated if the Commonwealth found itself having to deal with them.
Gnomish chemists actively research chemical agents and such in the Commonwealth. Is any other nation even mentioned to be pursuing chemical weapons, much less willing to use or produce them?
Name: Mar'Ament "The Formless One" "The Black Blood"

Physical Form: Mar, as one of his titles suggests, has no defined form, only being recognized most as like a black, blood-like fluid that can move on its own in any way it wants, taking up any shape or form that he wants or needs to.

Abilities: Is currently incapable of using magic, but can learn it. Physical combat ability is potentially unlimited, the only limiting factor how much mass he has. Is capable of learning flight, and is able to harden different parts of himself into rock-like, iron-like, or harder consistencies.

Personality: Calm, tactical, observant, and to many uncaring or indifferent. To others, should they earn it, a good ally to have.

Wants/Needs: Doesn't exactly have any, though he has a thirst to learn and recover the history that was lost to him. Both of which he feels capable of doing himself. Does have a passive want of getting stronger, however.

Relationships: None for now.

Backstory: Mar has no memories from before he 'woke up'. So instead, I'll talk about when he was released. He was sealed inside an urn in some ruins right on the border of the elvish and dwarven territories, and a small group of elven warriors was sent to investigate, explore, and obtain anything of their people to bring back. One of them, a female elf, entered the chamber in which his urn resided. A couple of the other elves followed and they each went about searching the many bookshelves and few chest in the room. The female, unfortunately for her, touched the urn and it cracked from age. Right as that happened, the doors slammed shut, likely due to ancient magic, and a black blood from inside the urn shattered it as he lunged at the elf.

One swing of the sword went right through it and did nothing, one swing was all she could do before it clung to her chest. She didn't feel it, but multiple small cut were made on her skin, then she felt the pain of the fluid entering her body through those cuts and her mouth and nose. Needless to say, he passed out and Mar took control, slaying the other elves in the room that tried to help her before he entered another dormant, restful state. The elf would wake up later, in a cage being drawn into the mountains by dwarves, feeling something inside her body and at the back of her mind.

Other: Nothing at the moment.

Nice! It's accepted; go ahead and join in.
I intend to finish my sheet this weekend. In the meantime, poor time management has left me utterly swamped with work.
@Cyclone

Well, I wasn't intending it too be close to Moravia's population, only about 50/60 percent. My goal is my population to be large enough to actually have the manpower to sustain a long-term war. My population is only 25 million at the moment.

Makes sense.
In all likelihood I'll probably be basing my population off of Moravia's.

Having much more land than Zenovia, more infrastructure developed than pretty much anyone over the past two centuries, and having a history of centuries of prosperity (although plenty of war to prevent the population from exploding too much) makes me think that the Commonwealth would almost certainly be far larger than Zenovia. Really, the PRK is the only nation that I can see having reason to boast a bigger population, and even then if it's like its real world parallel the USSR, then it's surprisingly rural and low in population for its size whereas Moravia is somewhat dense in a lot of parts.

That's not counting fairyland of course, with SEVEN BILLION people
I never saw that map...

And 24 million is looking tiny in this world O.o

It is, though your colonies, technology, and naval power make you not so much of a pushover. Still, 50 million seems a more reasonable number.
<Snipped quote by Gig>I think your estimate on the desert is still a bit large, what is your assumption on? Either my carthography skills fail me or those thin greyish lines are rivers to saturate the land.

anyways the scale confirmed it, dammit.
My core territory is nearly as large as the USA, again.
Assuming fertile lands my core territory and my nearest vassal together could support even 500 million people.

Care to find th figures for my land as well?

I was thinking that 250 million people would be reasonable, but IMO super infrastructure to make up for my lack of colonies mean that I should have a large population, perhaps the largest in the continent.
I did and do prefer the map mainly because the presence of mountains makes for more natural looking borders and varied land.

I don't deny there being some desert, just nowhere to the extent that you showed it where it was 2/3 of my nation. And anyways Voltus said we could have some creative leeway when it came to that map, so that desert is going to be mild in most parts. Think of wooded heathes with acacia, big watering holes, and massive oil wells raping the land for her resources!
