Back when dinosaurs ruled the Earth, I got started with writing online on the Spore forums. Man, those were the days. We're talking like 12 years ago 2010-ish!

I've been here on and off for almost as long, and have GM'd a bunch of different things to varying success.

I'd like to remind the assembled potential buyers that the PRK is one of the world's largest producers of helium. While it's not Kavuria, it certainly works well enough for human purposes.

Naturally, Moravia doesn't care.

They have a pretty solid chemical industry and can probably produce small amounts of Kavuria and/or helium, but their airships are going to be called gnomish gyroships and are going to be different in that they have huge rotors and are something like big helicopter-blimp hybrids. Certainly smaller than the airships of Yllendthyr and Avalia, but probably more maneuverable.

@Cyclone

So for my next post, do you think the Caesar would be willing to meet with my peace-loving princess? I also wonder if it would be acceptable for my nation to have a couple of airships. I'd ask Skepic, but they don't seem to have been on for a while.

No matter how naive she might be, I have a hard time believing that she'd be brave enough to go into Moravia. The Moravians have been exposed to generations of propaganda against Kataylans and presumably Zenovii as well; while the government would be smart enough to not kill her for PR reasons, there would be angry lynch mobs after her.

Think of how the Germans under the Nazi regime genuinely thought that Jews had horns and were some sort of monsters.

As in for airships, I'm probably not the best to ask. Moravia doesn't have that many and the ones that they do have are smaller than most other nations' and are different due to a lack of Kavuria.

No, look at the north.

Oh, was adding a bit more land onto the Greenland-shape literally the only change? I didn't even see that difference at first xD
@Isotope

I think you accidentally posted map 1 twice.
Are you people still accepting?

Yeah, we still have some space on the map!

Speaking of which, I ask once again to everyone on this OOC what we are going to do about KalMea. Hael hasn't been on in 15 days.
I've been taking an absurdly long time to post; I will commit now to finding time for this on the weekend.
@Combo move

I don't think you'd realistically have any of the derro. Maybe some other "dwarves" like those in Vinculi, but the derro are pretty much exclusively in inland Moravia.

The gnomes could plausibly have a small to medium portion of the population in any nation. They're this world's equivalents of the Jews with Mostia being their Israel that was taken by Ceresia a few centuries back.
@Romero

Basing your guns off what Willy just talked about would be cool and probably fit your criteria.

On a side note, all this talk of "balancing" nations seems unnecessary. From a story point of view some have to be strong and some have to be weak, and we could easily develop the plot in a way that results in the underdogs and little nations miraculously beating some of the huge powers.
I've been working on a summary of Moravia's views and relations with most nearby nations. Some are still missing, but the ones that I expect to interact with a lot and/or have an influence on Moravia are listed.

@Serpentine88

It's not really hypocrisy on my part because if you'll recall, I was one of the ones that were really pissed off about the fairies. I almost left because of it. It's gotten to the point where provided they aren't my next door neighbor and I'm not constantly interacting, I'll just silently tolerate it. I don't like being that guy that whines about everything and shuts down every idea.

What it comes down to at the end of the day is me seeing this as a pretty strict sci-fi dieselpunk environment, but others don't necessarilly share my viewpoint. I'm willing to concede that since this isn't my RP I can't have everything the way that I want, but at the same time I don't have to like every idea. You see where I'm coming from?

@Wernher

When you put it that way, I don't mind the dragons so much.

But I maintain that the scales are still way too strong. Mithil is supposed to be like titanium; you say that the dragons could easily die if their scales were like bone, but in reality it's more comparable to the armor on a tank. Probably even better than what Willy's tanks have.

So not only does this make dragons able to just roflstomp over all but the most powerful of weapons, it also gives you an armor plating that almost outdoes Willy's niched mithril in every way. Being unable to mold it doesn't matter that much seeing as you could just make lamellar quilts of scales to put over a tank and give it more armor than anything else and apparently with hardly any additional weight.

In essence I don't think dragon scales should be heat resistant, stronger than mithril, and somehow even lighter all at once.
