Back when dinosaurs ruled the Earth, I got started with writing online on the Spore forums. Man, those were the days. We're talking like 12 years ago 2010-ish!

I've been here on and off for almost as long, and have GM'd a bunch of different things to varying success.

Yes, I remember. What were the specifics on it? I remember it being talked about but not what was said.

Pretty much all I said was in that quote.

Best to not iron out the details too thoroughly yet, because then there's no surprise. Besides, the idea is still subject to change.
@Kangutso

I'm interested in seeing how he might get along with Zephyrion, who is probably going to end up being one of the most quarrelsome and violent ones out there. I put chaotic neutral down for his alignment, but his hubris and short temper mean that he's willing to fight another god (or bring down some sort of apocalypse, in the case of mortals) over the smallest perceived insult.

In particular I wonder whether Kyre will take objection to that world that I want Zephyrion to make. Remember me talking about it?

...my idea was that it would be so screwed up that entropic forces are literally in the constant process of destroying it. The various "continents" would just be giant landmasses flying through an empty void of nothingness, literally floating islands. In the center would be a holy site that Zephyrion makes (or somebody else, or Zephyrion with the help of somebody else; it doesn't matter that much) that emanates some sort of orbs, or energy, or something like that. There isn't enough of the magical stuff for everyone. So all the nations/races/people on the different continents would be engaged in perpetual warfare as they try to claim that energy for themselves so that their entire continent isn't destroyed.

Basically it would be a great arena for the gods' minions to kill each other, for centuries on end, with their very existence hinging on victory being a pretty good motivator.
That idea for a world that I was talking about a day or two ago on that other thread
Brave New World is one of my favorite dystopian works. You know, Huxley was good friends with Orwell and I recall reading some of the letters that they sent back and forth, debating on how the world would inevitably be ruined

I still prefer Animal Farm though. Something about it was just brilliant.
Yeah guys, get hype!

Good idea, I think I'll take that. Will ours be the first deities sharing a domain?

I think that there might also be two gods of order and two of creation? Gah, I'm starting to lose track

I wouldn't worry though; magic is so broad that I'm sure there won't be too much overlap.
Hmmm...So If I did join I guess my domain would probably be Love. But what portfolio would that belong to then?

Perhaps you could have Passion(Love)?

Maybe expand into portfolios like (Anger) or (Jealousy) later on?
@Hael

It looks pretty bad until you realize that there isn't much of a 'team' of bad guys. They're all going to be fighting each other

And of course, if they go nuts then the neutral ones would probably step in if only to preserve balance or protect their own creations.
@Kho

Here is the song of torture!

There is always something more torturous. In this case, it's this.

@Nevix The mortals in this game are a sad lot indeed if they have something like that as an overlord :| it definitely puts a twist on the level of control each player will actually have on their Hero's actions (obviously, you can't godmod, but there is only so much a (low-level) Hero can do when Daegon comes along and tells them, 'why not...kill everyone?'

"Uh, I won't kill everyone because...um...VESTEC OH MERCIFUL ONE PLEASE COME DOWN AND SAVE ME!"
