Back when dinosaurs ruled the Earth, I got started with writing online on the Spore forums. Man, those were the days. We're talking like 12 years ago 2010-ish!

I've been here on and off for almost as long, and have GM'd a bunch of different things to varying success.

Word of my splendor:

@Lugubrious Care to do begin part two of our collab? (I won't be able to do it for an extended period of time until Friday, but I might be able to add a bit here and there in the meantime if we start now.

@BBeast Thoughts on Zephy evolving some Urtelem into ogres and putting them in the jungle he's going to make?
@Kho

>MFW Kho even @mentions himself but not me

See you later Kho. Happy vacationing from the guild.

He does but I don't think it'd be fair for me to just go 'OH, LOL, BY THE WAY VESTEC FOLLOWED LOGOS'. When I didn't mention that first.

It'd be super unfair; I said it more as a joke.

I'd have Zephyrion eventually visit Arcon but perhaps it's a bad idea. His presence in a place like that would start the spawning of flickers and then Logos and company would have to deal with a bunch of immortal beigs created by another Chaotic God! *shivers*
Oh, the thought of retroactively saying that Vestec had followed Logos that fateful day and has known about Arcon this whole time

Think about it: it'd be like allowing a kid to spend all day building a sand castle, just so that he'll be angrier and cry louder when you finally get around to kicking it over. But does Vestec even possess this level of forethought and planning?
@Kho

Is your point that giant timeskips will ruin our maps (I need yet ANOTHER extension making the new one, unfortunately )? If so, be proven wrong: plate tectonics were quietly swept under Zephy's dominion, and his earth/fire elementals aren't even running around yet! I intend for my next post and participation in Slough week to be from the perspective of a nascent fire elemental, so this may soon change, but for now Galbar's continents are static and the map will not explode ;p
To weigh in, socially and economically the Dark Ages went crap. They aren't called 'Dark' because thhey were bad so much as because we are metaphorically in the dark about what happened, what with literacy going down and limited sources.

For the most part feudalism replaced the highly efficient Roman bureaucracy, coinage and banking kind of fell apart and kingdoms couldn't even retain standing armies, Latin was bastardized into a bunch of other languages...

Farming and metalworking advanced though
@Kho@CycloneSo, have we passed the 15 billion years mark?

What was decided upon at the start of this turn again? 12.2 billion or some odd number, IIRC?

Considering that the Hain are now about we can't have many more gigantic timeskips. At absolute most 100 million years would have passed I say, but in reality not many events on a huge scale happened so I am tempted to drop it as low as 20,000 years having passed this turn.

That would allow for the existing lifeforms and races to proliferate without creating an appreciable tech jump. Since Hain already have primitive housing and speech, a big time jump would bring us into the medieval times if not modern technology levels.

At this point I doubt we'll ever increment more than 100,000 years per turn again, and while that sort of breaks the star mechanic you made for Ull I don't want to have the entire timeline revolving around that. If we go for realism and making sense here, Ull will probably remain in his current phase for the forseeable future.

So to answer your question Vec, we shouldn't be anywhere near 15 billion years and might never get there

Anybody else care to weigh in on this?
@Frettzo

It was a direct response, yes. I think it bad form to use @mentions in an IC post and therefore didn't do that, but to your credit the summary just mentioned that he responded to Astarte and not that he invited her to come.

The pertinent section:

But now he had a moment to think on it and respond to Astarte. He reached back to her with his mind, "A most splendid and intriguing gift! Its energy acts most unlike those that I command. One day you must fare to my palace and see it in person; when such time comes, I implore that you bring more of this strange substance!" The jar before him evaporated into a cloud of strange smoke and then materialized once more somewhere else in his palace; Zephyrion was sure that he would find the time to tamper with that magic at some point. Now, however, he was otherwise occupied.

@Frettzo

You have nothing to say? Not even deigning to answer Zephy's invitation into his flying house after Astarte gave him the jar of magic stuff? What are we going to do with Frettzo...
I wonder, how many Heroes are we allowed to make?

I already have plans for three. I don't imagine myself settling at that though; I might end up closer to five.

The OP doesn't mention any limit and I see little need to set an arbitrary cap, so make as many as you'd like.
