Back when dinosaurs ruled the Earth, I got started with writing online on the Spore forums. Man, those were the days. We're talking like 12 years ago 2010-ish!

I've been here on and off for almost as long, and have GM'd a bunch of different things to varying success.

@Kho What if we create or have characters who may later ascend for some reason or another?

Also, how did Zephyrion change the Codex when he made elementals. Did I miss that part?

Change Incarnate ain't just a title; the power that he put into the Codex became Change and was spread out globally. It's as omnipresent in the universe as physics. Naturally it works autonomously and he doesn't have to enable every chemical reaction or Change, but in his sheet I mention that he still retains a large degree of control over Change. That's why he was so unbelievably angry at Vulamera in that collab for trying to use his power even though it was to save her own life.

Yes, I realize that in theory this makes him absurdly powerful because he could just will things out of existence or decide that gravity no longer existed, but rest assured that nothing of the sort will happen. If you read the post in question I'm pretty sure that I even made Zeph nervous about makign even that minor alteration and try to make the Change as quickly and subtly as possible.

So he exploited this predicament of his by manipulating Change in such a way as to allow for those artificial souls that would otherwise be inconceivable. OOC I see no godmodding in him doing something so minor, but on a conceptual level it violates the still-untold rules of Fate and Amul'Sharar.

@Kho Fair enough.

So since Zephyrion broke the rules, he's gonna get his ass handed to him?

Or something along those lines.

let me introduce you to the wonders of TitanPad

*facepalm*

I switched to piratepad because titanpad crashes more!
[@All] Could we please stop it with the politics or, if you guys want to continue, do it on PMs. Let's not fill the OOC with useless stuff. You don't see me writing paragraphs on how we need money and better politicians etc etc and I expect the same from people. I don't come here to read about politics but to relax...so please.

But what else to do when piratepad crashes on me?

Vec, you can't have your cake and eat it too. We must either suffer this bickering, or get back at the Shrek jokes, strange cat pictures, and general tomfoolery/stupid memes. Either way, this OOC will infect you

Edit:

That's fair enough, but it can still be a two way street. I was more referring to the impact of the US on its own rather than its social leanings. My main go-to impression was the impact was the GFC. A short-sighted policy in the US allowed some banks to tip over and make waves the world over. When stuff like that happens, people tend to pay attention to what the US is doing.

Also, I'm not from Europe.

Umm...do you live in Africa? /sarcasm

Don't give me the Sarah Palin Award for Geographical Ignorance; it was a joke! I know that there are other places and I don't use the map of most of my fellow countrymen!
@Lugubrious Us outside of the US can't help but be curious about US politics for three reasons:

1. It's broadcast EVERYWHERE.
2. The state of the US tends to dictate geopolitics and the world economy by virtue of its sheer bulk.
3. It's basically reality TV at this point.

It's only natural that plenty of people will start to form opinions based on what's broadcast, which may not hold every candidate in a virtuous light thanks to the broadcasters.

Personally, I have more issues with the structure of the system than the candidates themselves. However, even if I did have an opinion on the candidates, it's not as if I'm a voting citizen of the US. All this gas-bagging that we might do is just that.

I disagree with you on the second point. We're unarguably more conservative than many countries in Europe; we follow your lead, not the other way around. I look towards Europe as the forecast for what America will be like in 20 years.

I should have been born 50 or 100 years ago; liberalism has taken root and has become something that we can't stop any longer. Socialism, multiculturalism, excessive globalism, feminism, and all these other -isms seem to take root in Western Europe then spread here, so I find myself with very good reason to observe France, the UK, Sweden, Germany, and the like as a prediction of what America is soon to become.

Trump isn't a conservative. He's only recently adopted a few conservative ideas in order to take advantage of people's anger, which has been his shtick from the beginning. Aside from being the epitome of rude and ostentatious, he's even gone so far as to say 'everything's negotiable' in regards to his position. No conservative with a grain of common sense thinks that he's a good option, but a lot of people would rather have an asshat president than a criminal or a socialist. If the US had to sacrifice pride, freedom, or the rule of law, pride ought to be first to go.

His goal isn't to represent conservative ideals: it's the aggrandization of Donald Trump. But there are worse choices out there.

My favorite for a long time was Ben Carson, but unfortunately he couldn't get enough momentum.

Anyway, where do non-US people get off making assumptions about American politics? We let you mind your own business, don't we?

Of course he isn't a real conservative; he funded Hillary Clinton's last bid and openly said in the past that he favored the Democratic Party.

You have to realize that the only true 'conservatives' these days are the lunatics in the Tea Party that are so extremist by comparison to anybody else that they have no chance of winning the independent and/or moderate voters (read: the vast majority of America). What 'true conservative' did we even have to choose from? Jeb Bush's only reason to be taken seriously was that his father was a mediocre president and his brother was a contender for our worst president, so the celebrity status trickled down. Ben Carson had no political experience as well as those strange theories about the pyramids being built by Jospeph to store grain and other assorted bullshit.

These days the conservative establishment is simply the opposition party: aside from that failed attempt at the Keystone Pipeline, what positive change have the Republicans been able to get out for us in the past 10 years? The past 20? See, all they do is fight as hard as they can to reject anything that the Democrats try to push forward.

Contrast that to the Democratic party, which I liken to some abominable union of socialists (or outright Communists in some cases), male-hating feminists, Muslim fundamentalists, stoners who just want marijuana legalized, pro-immigration people who want us to invite in hordes of foreigners, and corporate interest groups that want crap like the TPP that will screw us all over.

I'm very liberal on most topics related to economics yet socially conservative, so I really loathe how only two parties manage to retain such a chokehold on the entire country. The total polarization means that I'm inevitably going to hate both candidates in every election; it's just a matter of which one I find less distasteful.

...and that's my two cents. No more political rants from me on the Internet for another year or two
AND EXPLAIN THAT! Explain it, explain it all!
Hmm, I'm guessing your issue isn't with Donald. (speaking of which, @Hael@Cyclone@Lugubrious[@AllYouUSdwellers] wth?! get rid of him already, you've had your fun, everyone's wet their pants)

You want the opinion of me, a 'US dweller'?

Donald Trump is honestly my favorite contender for the Republican nomination. My first choice would have been Rand Paul, but of course he was too reasonable to attain any significant following among the Conservative base and dropped out early on in the primaries. Kasich similarly hasn't gained enough momentum to earn my serious consideration.

And what can you UK dwellers have on us? I'm still waiting for you lot to vote the BNP into power
<Snipped quote by Cyclone>

Well, yeah, but I always thought that there was a base "energy" that already existed in the universe, before any other god created different types of energy. That, was the type of energy my dragons use, just the basest, most pure form of energy the universe has to offer. Maybe that's just me though, and i was always wrong about that specific thing...

Before Zeph, THERE WAS NOTHING!

The purpose imbued into his creation was that he would ensure Change would blossom in the nascent world, for nothing could ever be without such a fundamental force. Naturally, in all his brilliance Zephyrion managed to imbue the raw power of change into the universe's seed, thus creating a force that would persist eternally and function autonomously.
Zeph's Sheet

I would presume that's what you're talking about. I'm perfectly fine with that from an OOC perspective, but Zephyrion IC will not be pleased that lesser beings (especially those created by other gods) are using his primal power. This could be an interesting interaction.

Will I be the great dragonslayer in this Divinus as well?
<Snipped quote by Cyclone>

Dragons have been on the works by me even before you created the elementals. At that time, I didn't think much about the type of energy that they would use so i just dubbed it "elemental" and left it at that. So, they aren't really related to elementals but if you want to, we can make something happen here ;>

*shrug*

I'm indifferent to the idea. It just sounded like a clear reference to me. I also felt like asking since "elemental energy" seemed like an odd thing for Ull to be putting in his creatures.
@Vec

I'm interested in how (or if) they're related to elementals.

Specifically the "elemental energy" that their hearts generate. I take that phrase to mean the universal power that Zephyrion made by combining Astarte's pure magic with his own energy and then spreading the resulting force around the universe?
Guys, I've got this one! Zeph has just the right solution for a horde of chaos.
