Bio

Back when dinosaurs ruled the Earth, I got started with writing online on the Spore forums. Man, those were the days. We're talking like 12 years ago 2010-ish!

I've been here on and off for almost as long, and have GM'd a bunch of different things to varying success.

Word of my splendor:

@Kangutso Slightly. But I didn't really know what to write, so I just responded to your two actions directly. And since prospecting takes a turn, all the juicy adventures the expedition has will have to wait for next turn... Sorry about that! I'll have something fun in store for you ;)

Edit: Y'all dead? :( Post is up...

I was so disappointed by the lack of evil giblin skraelings that I just left in tears. It'll be a day or two before I regain my composure.

I did notice that you added the goats though :D

Murmur's. He was a Sculptor Djinn.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

That's all we know about him, though. The real Mistral might've replaced him to clear the name of its... Associations.

More likely they're completely unrelated because nobody will remember or care about the 'predecessor'.

In that case, whoever controls this Murmur freak is gonna be in for a rude awakening when I send my djinni lord of sound to kill him...

I had forgotten about the Sculptor djinn, but yes, now I remember being somewhat miffed at the concept of an immortal, incorporeal manifestation of nature being turned into some artsy sculptor. But I figured it'd be better if Murmur just killed them rather than if I complained OOC.

Isn't violence always the answer?

he

he was dead

wat? By whose hand? In what manner was he dead-ed?

VENGENCE GUNNA BE HIS
@Muttonhawk

Wow! Lo, men, and behold! That word, such a fine word!

Imagine the depth, the countless facets of meaning, when I manage to use 'flurry' in such a way that it simultaneously refers to a whale's dying screams as well as the pleasant wind that naturally accompanies such a glorious experience.

<Snipped quote by Cyclone>

I mean, I did that once... ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

But that was a single mention in a list of other names, so there's no actual conflict. I'll just be smug about it.

what did you say about my next glorious character and in what context was he mentioned?!

(Now that you point it out, I do vaguely remember Mistral)
I think...the word that I was looking for was...flurry. We did it! We cured my insanity!
@Cyclone

billow, breaker, crest, curl, fold, furrow, line, rippling, rush, surge, swell, tide, undulation, whitecap! Any of those help?

Yeah, seeing furrow actually made me remember lol

I quite like mistral myself.

Hey, that's a new one. Might have to name some random windbag Mistral. I've been running out of cool-sounding air words to use for djinni names.
I'm ain't giving up.

Draft?

An eddy/draft is close, dammit, but still not what I'm looking for!
@Cyclone Ripple C:

No this particular word that I'm grasping for is related more to air than to water, I think

@Cyclone

An eddy/draft is close, dammit, but still not what I'm looking for! Gaaaah!

*succumbs to insanity*

Thanks for trying though :(

Do any of you guys ever get on a writing roll, and then fucking
STOP

because you have something very particular in mind and know there there is the perfect word/phrase to describe it and that verbage that you so desperately crave is on the tip of your tongue but you still can't quite snatch it into something corporeal and so you sit there for 30 minutes trying to find the perfect word for one damn sentence

*takes a breath*

and then you realize that for the last hour you've just been twiddling your thumbs as you rifle through your mental dictionary of all the words you know or if you're more like me maybe you were typing out phrase after phrase on google in hopes of some thesaurus bringing up that obscure word that you want but of course it's all to no avail and you're left to drown in your own despair and rage and put off finishing that post for another two months because of that one damn word which really sucks because you know that it's a really cool word that you used a lot in past times but sadly you've forgotten it now

*huffs some more*

Might anybody happen to know a word that means, like, an unexpected little gust wind, or maybe a sudden stirring in a pool of water? THAT'S THE MEANING OF THE WRETCHED WORD/PHRASE THAT IS EVADING ME THIS TIME

Gonna bring in a replacement guy from the waiting list?
<Snipped quote by Cyclone>

Well, in that case...

It sounds like a certain, currently very distant friend of ours has taken a new species of followers, and been assigned a new name. They're rather more feathery than their predecessors.

You're close, but not entirely on ;p

I'll give you half the cookie jar!
