Bio

Back when dinosaurs ruled the Earth, I got started with writing online on the Spore forums. Man, those were the days. We're talking like 12 years ago 2010-ish!

I've been here on and off for almost as long, and have GM'd a bunch of different things to varying success.

Get out you Jar-Jar lover
@Cyclone Metal.

Also, I've had this new avatar for a while now. Not only that, it's still a space dog, it's just from a galaxy far far away now.

When you're some sort of immortal lurker bound to the Internet and held adrift by only the Memes of Time, it is hard to keep track of when exactly someone last updated their avatar

Edit: If that is indeed a space dog, good sir, then why is its mouth left exposed to the harsh vacuum? Do you really think that orange-tinted glasses are enough?

All you guys are getting these crazy new avatar pictures. See @kho and @Vec. Even @Muttonhawk doesn't have the space-dog anymore!

...I've begun contemplating changing my own, even though I do like the look of Cyclos.

Lacking inspiration I'd probably just go for something like this.

You guys think I should change it?
@Double Capybara

Would you really have the means and the will to take legal action against some theoretical violator, especially given that they would likely be a resident of a different country? If not, then it's not like the licensing matters.

Come now, first the idea of someone taking plagiarizing us for some nefarious purposes seems unlikely and funny, but then the idea of you taking them to an international court over it is just too much.

I really don't think the licensing is worth batting an eyelash at.
@Double Capybara

With all due respect, I take no issue with the wiki being public and don't think that you should care either. I very much doubt that someone is going to rip off any of the writing or concepts that we have here. Even if they were to do so and you took offense to that, this website (and by extension the RP itself) is accessible to anybody and so they already have the means to do so.
@Kho

What you see is what you get.
What do you people think about making a Wikia? It is becoming increasingly hard to keep up. Some players that I did more than a few collabs with for example have asked about basic concepts of my posts like Raka, At the same time, I myself don't know a lot about races like Ogres and Urtelem despite reading all posts. In fact, is there even a sheet for the Ogres? Can't find any info...

I never made a sheet for the ogres, but if you have any specific questions I'll answer them. Here's the section of a post in which ogres were created, which probably lays out more than any CS would.

Clarifications Concerning Fate's Might Pot

In light of Fate's Might Pot now having nearly 40 MP invested in it (18 of which were mine ) I felt that it was necessary to discuss what should be done with it.

We GMs have decided that as it was put forth as more of a mechanism to prevent the hoarding of MP rather than as a punishment for such, players that lose MP to the pot can determine what is done with it.

In my case, I'm thinking something along the lines of Zephyrion's power escaping from his two holy sites as something like the Winds of Change from Warhammer. (In fact, I might just outright rip off Warhammer here). Basically these tides of magic would ebb and flow around Galbar and Zeph's planet Caelum, and beings could draw upon them as sources of power for other magic or harness the winds themselves as pure change magic. Post pending; that's just an example of one thing that you could do. Alternatives might be using your spillover MP to create a new biome or some sort of monster.

As in for the question of MP that is just abandoned to the pot, that's gonna remain at GM discretion. On that topic, I would invite discussion and suggestions concerning what might be a good use of the pool in Fate's Might Pot. Even if I were to use all 18 of Zeph's spillover for something (and I might leave some in), that's more than 20 Might left over that we could do things with.
@poog the pig Eh, it all does. Mostly because the eye cant catch all the nice details of things because its in motion.

@Cyclone You thought that was bad? Howabout Gerard Butler NEVER giving up that Scottish accent of his once throughout a Egyptian film. Like, all I thought was "This is Jamie Lannister vs Leonidas of Sparta".

Holy shit you just spelled his name "Jamie". Just from that I can tell you've never even picked up the books! I can hardly contain my stomach...

Out! Out with ye!
@KhoThats from the film Gods of Egyt. 90% sure that is Horus.

Honestly, it was a trash film. Enjoyable, but trash. Like.... eating a Big Mac. Tastes good, but utterly bad for you.

Ah, I remember it now. The same guy that acts as Jaime (the sister-fucking, king-slaying, murderous bastard that we all love) in Game of Thrones acts as that Horus guy in this movie. At least he does for the parts that Horus isn't transformed into that shit by CGI.

...I never could get over Jaime being Horus.
