"So Kjorn is watching us, and you have won us his favor," the chieftain proclaimed, for to Dag this runestone of obviously magical properties was evidence enough of that. "You said that this appeared after you slew the bear, Sigdar? Then this is your prize, and it is a fool who rejects the boon offered unto him by a god. You must take this flame back to the settlement, and then perhaps we will discover what power or meaning it holds."

With the decree made, the chieftain was quick to return to Dagshall. His people needed him now, for this new enemy in the sea could strike at any moment and the Iceborn would need to be prepared. As Kjorn's champion, it fell to Sigdar to bring the flame back to Dagshall; if simply setting aflame a stick and bringing the flame back with that torch proved impossible, he would arrange to have the entire runestone dragged out of the forest.

Shortly after visiting the runestone, Dag oversaw preparations in his settlement. While the tribesmen capable of battle gathered their arms and shields and steeled themselves for battle, Dag and some of the elders tried to talk sense back into the survivors of the recent attack.

Iceborn

-Dag interprets the flame as a gift to Sigdar, so Sigdar is trying to bring it back to Dagshall.
-The Iceborn are getting ready for battle after the sailors on their longship were attacked by enemies that came from the sea.
-Dag and some elders are trying to ask the attack's shaken survivors exactly what happened and figure out who the enemy is.

The creation of the Primordial Spark took all of the MP that I had, but it happened so long ago that I don't even know if it was turn 11 or 10.

I'd imagine that the most destructive item in Divinus canon would be enough to bring down the Celestial Citadel without spending MP though, so if I actually do have 40 something it'd be a pleasant surprise ;p

Wait what, 48MP?

Pretty sure that I spent it all at some point and that Zeph and Co. should have 24; I thought that the "current MP" tab on the Excel was as of the new turn and that's why I left it at 24. I think that you then added another 24 on top of that and hence the 48.

Accounting is too much confusion to be worth the hassle! Abolish the Might system!

Dag answered Lydia, "Let the Gilbins rise from the shadows and fight us, then; they would only give us another chance to prove ourselves to Kjorn. And if Sigdar should succeed in his task, then the war god will be watching us closely."

The chieftain turned his gaze back out to the waves and the severed hand bobbing towards the shore. He suspected that fisherman's grim fate to be the work of sharks; what else could tear a man to shreds? It was an unfortunate loss, but one that could hardly be avenged. Still, for the next feast Dag would make sure that shark was the main fare.

While the newfound knowledge of skraelings upstream was indeed intriguing, it would not do to march so far by land and leave Dagshall exposed. Whether they wanted to trade or go to war with the skraelings, they would need more ships. The second longship was a good start, but they would need a small fleet before more serious excursions inland or around the continent could become feasible.

Iceborn

-The Iceborn just sit around and build more ships.
-Dag's son Sigdar is still out in the forest trying to kill a bear, from my last post in the old thread. The idea is he'll become a berserker and win the war god's favor, and then maybe Kjorn will talk to the tribe through his new champion.
-The severed hand in the water is dismissed as being the work of a shark, and nobody cares much about the stray goblins growing more bold.

I'll express continued interest. On the fence about whether to play the Iceborn or be the first one to try playing as trolls. Anybody wanna weigh in and help me decide?

I'm not sure how Google's text to speech would handle some of these names.

To any that haven't realized, Zephyrion's name is a pun on the word zephyrean. But in my head-canon I pronounce it more sharply. Instead of ze-fer-ree-an I say zuh-FEAR-ee-un.
