Bio

Hi.

I'm an Interdiscplinary BA, searching for a job in the current market, and this site has been my introduction to role-play. I prefer medieval and/or sci-fi roleplays and am a fan of Star Trek, Star Wars, RWBY, Fire Emblem Awakening, Superheroes, and Fairy Tail.

@Penny Just a heads up from your last post. The minimum post length is two paragraphs, and your last post was bare. In the future, try to make your posts longer.

@Cyrania The same goes for you as well. While I was initially okay with your post because of the report. Seeing how someone made a bare post. I will ask you to try to make your posts longer as well.

I understand. I'll do better than that in the future.

Janice Alastrina 'Alice' Rogers

@Xandrya

Her eyes glistened. "Sure, I'd love to. I really don't have much going on yet either." Then she walked with Sorens to the mess, hands gesturing as she talked. "Really, I won't have much to do until we find some planet, meteor, asteroid, moon, or other place to land on. Or if something else happens that isn't just normal space flight. That's really the beauty of being on this ship, you don't actually know what could come up tomorrow. We're headed out where no man has gone before, the depths of space itself. We could see a neutron star up close, planets where diamonds fall like rain from the sky, maybe space whales. And of course, there's the chance of finding more alien artifacts and ruins like are on Tau Ceti. We may even find living alien races. But of course, you never really know." She looked out as if through the walls into the space beyond. "Perhaps the whole trip will mostly be like this." Then she turned back to Sorens. "What are you most hoping to see, Allison?"
@mattmanganon

I don't think that it'll take too long to go through the Toyman story since there'd only be a few involved and I ultimately wouldn't mind if it did take a little bit. Plus I have an idea already for how it'll end since it will be a canon story.

As for an alien visitor crashing to Earth, if it is canon we'd have to figure out what to do with them after. But we can leave it up to the players to see which idea they prefer.

I vote for saving Santa

Alice grinned sheepishly. "Empty stomach. I kinda just woke up and since there's not much happening yet, I thought I may as well grab some grub. You heading that way yourself? Oh, excuse my manners." Then she offered her hand. "I'm Janice Rogers, but you can call me Alice. And you are?"

Alice's Report (Submitted Early as She was Bored and it was Official Business)

<Snipped quote by Penny>

I do, as a matter of fact. I was waiting to send it out with the email post but this is it:

I'm going to go ahead and have Alice answer her's since she did it as soon as possible because it was then some acutal work for her to do. Also, this gives me something more to put into her post.
Or one of the marines got too gung-ho about following orders to mess with the engineers
But that would shift the rp's focus. The idea of the rp is a sci-fi exploration of a post-apocalyptic galaxy and discovering what caused the galaxy's current state. Dealing with terrorists and the ship being sabotaged would mess with the point of the rp. So no terrorists or the ship being sabotaged by rogue human elements during the rp.

Understood.

I was just giving what could be potentially be used for justification if that were to happen.

Phones rang loud and clearly throughout the Damage Control/Shield Metropolis HQ. A massive constantly updating worldwide map showed the locations of various superhero happenings and if someone was covering them or not up on the wall above the windows out into a currently clear day. And throughout, men and women bustled as teams were sent out, other teams debriefed, and dispatchers sought to keep track of which were which.

At the moment, Coulson was taking a coffee break at his desk, enjoying a few moments of just his coffee, his croissant, and nothing else. It wasn't going to last, but he could savor it for now. Things getting quieter only seemed to be the calm before the bigger storms.

Then as if on cue, the phone rang on his desk. Finishing up the croissant, the answered it. "Yes?"

"Mr. Coulson, Thor wants to speak with you."

His eyes widened, checking the recent news. Lionel Luthor's failed mayoral run should have kept Thor safe for the moment. Why would he need...? Ah, there was a very recent news report. And of course since it involved an alien, any information would have been flagged for SWORD instead of SHIELD. Someday they were going to need to revamp that system as it came to those times when the two jurisdictions tied together. Obviously though, that wasn't going to be today. "Get him on my line." Then he took a quick gulp of coffee. If Thor was actually calling, the situation was likely to be a doozy. As soon as he heard that they were connected, he called out. "Thor, this is Coulson. Are you alright?"
To be fair, it would be a rather extreme start to... like, why would someone even want to sabotage it?

Well, we have got the hints that some people want there to be separate countries again instead of an united USF. The Arcadian could then be seen as a major symbol of the USF's power and ability. Disrupting it would then potentially be the spark to getting their wish.

Dr. Martin Aster Schrier, PhD

Unaware of the trouble brewing through the ship, Martin looked over himself one more time. Yes, the uniform was spotless (technically not a requirement for civilian personnel when not for a formal occasion, but he couldn't imagine that it wouldn't help with his image with the rest of the crew to wear it.) His hair was neat, everything was spick and span. He was ready to head out.

He went with a briskness out among the ship, checking in with his lab first. As he brushed his hand against the clean instruments, Martin took a revel in how this was all his now. All the years, all the sacrifices and the work, the late nights and the gallons of coffee, all leading to this place, to this moment. Now he needed to prove that it was all worth it. With a final inspection, he walked briskly through the corridors up to the bridge, saluted the captain at his chair, and then went to his station near the Signal Officer's and started looking through his monitors and readouts. Of course, going through hyperspace was the worst time to get any astral readings, but it was still a good time to get use to his equipment. And besides, it gave him a good excuse to be up here. It wasn't like he had anything else worth doing on the ship and seeing the stars pass by was a delight.

Janice Alastrina 'Alice' Rogers

@Xandrya

Alice got up with a good stretch before riffling through her drawers for her usual outfit and getting dressed. Ship's status showed that they were still in hyperspace. The Geology department didn't need her. The Xeobotany and Xenobiology departments didn't have anything either. And certainly the archeology department wasn't busy right now either. The days ahead were her own at the moment, so why not enjoy it while it lasted. So she'd go get a bite to eat, maybe talk with someone, then head up to see the Bridge and maybe be there when they arrived at the upcoming planet. She was pretty sure any civilian personnel were allowed to come up and watch things as long as it wasn't an active combat situation or some other emergencies (though of course she only skimmed the rule book)...But she'd worry about if she was wrong later. First, breakfast. And so she pushed back her hair, slid on her satchel, then rushed out out into the hallway and towards the mess. There, she about ran into Dr. Sorens. "Oh, sorry. Guess I got a bit carried away... Are you alright?"
