The original plan was to meet his parents at the diner and to get the hell out of town, but things didn't go as planned for Dash. His parents were old, so they were slow. Obviously that day, he gave them the benefit of the doubt that it was just their sluggish pace that was keeping them back and that he should wait for them patiently.

In the first few days, he waited with hope. Hope that they would be there well and alive. That hope was coming from a place in Dash's mind on the brighter side of things, but in the past week, he realized that looking at the brighter side of things wasn't going to help him survive.

Dash sat quietly at his picked booth in Jenkin's Diner, scribbling away in his journal. Journaling was something Dash had assigned every year as an assignments to his students for the semester, it was to write a entry either daily or weekly, to allow for creative expression for his students and to help them with their writing skills. Doing it himself had become therapeutic and as a creature of habit it stuck.

As some of the group gathered for a cup of coffee, the teacher finished up his mental vomiting, joining the group at the counter. "I'll take a coffee too."

are we allowed to add techniques or equipment to our CS? if so, will we have to "train" on it via post or will it just get accepted through the OOC? Thanks in advance.

Adding it in is fine, a heads up would be cool, just so we all know. Just make it realistic in terms of our characters still currently being genin, no power-creepin' moves at the moment.

Also on that note, will get my next post up sometime this week.

First post is up. This round can be used for a bit of introduction and also discussing team strategy (or arguing). Also put images of both team leaders in the Character Tab, I will be filling in their information later on.

Konohagakure has been preparing for the start of the Chunin Exams for the past few months, and no other ninjas in the village have been preparing themselves more than the genin. Each youthful ninja is ready to prove their worth in a test of skill for the world to see. On the final day before the exams begin, Konoha's teams are taking their final steps of preparation for tomorrow's grueling tests as other teams from neighboring lands make their way to the village hidden in the leaves.

The teams entering this year from Konoha have been training and honing their abilities, waiting for their best shot at succeeding. Two teams from the Hidden Leaf Village have caught the attention of many people, as they are led by two famous Jonin, who were mentored by the current Hokage, Sarutobi Gennosuke. Emi leads Team 5 with her carefree approach, nurturing her genin's talents for quick-thinking and recovering from their mistakes. Whereas her fellow Jonin leading Team 9, Daichi of the Hyuga clan, tries his best to mold discipline and tact into his young ninjas with boisterous personalities.

Standing on the fields of the Twenty-Seventh Training Grounds also known as Flower Hill, both Jonin leading Team's 5 and 9 figured it would be best for their genin have a little fun before the exams, agreeing to a friendly match of capture the flag.

"Rules are as follows," Daichi began, "first team to capture their opponents flag along with still having theirs wins. Any team member who falls off the hill is also out of the game."

"It's a friendly match, but try your best and have some fun." Emi said with her bright smile. "Now if there aren't any questions, let's get to our sides."

Ataru's eyes wandered the fields full of marigolds as he took in the refreshing scents the flowers were giving off into the air. Upon reaching their flag, the young ninja bent down and wafted the scent of the marigolds towards his face again, inhaling deeply with pure relaxation expressed on his face. "I don't get why we don't train here more often, it's so nice here."

A wide smile ran across his face as he picked one of the flowers, oblivious to the game at hand that was just about to begin.

@Dio How many interested players do you have currently, and what bending slots are available?

4 interested people, but only one person has applied. Earth, Fire, and a non-bender are the slots that don't have an application in, but again this isn't a first come first serve, it's more about character cohesion too.
