"Well..." since dinner Samael had found it difficult to process his thoughts or possibly his emotions thus he stumbled over his words which he found oddly irritating. Sam took a deep breath attempting to gain his bearings, sighing heavily as he tried to continue "I...I don't know...I can't remember where I came from...I've been wandering ever since I can remember, a-and I've been by myself since I was very young...Sorry." he cast a sullen glance to the wood floor, but it was the only answer he had for her. It wasn't a topic the demon was necessarily used to being brought up, though it wasn't that it might have been an uncomfortable subject for him nor that he may not wish to discuss it, but moreover wasn't something that Samael thought of very often.

Besides whatever or whoever was making such a strong odor, needed to stop. It was beginning to drive even the demon a bit crazy, which was no easy feat to accomplish with his legendary lack of self-awareness. It became difficult to make idle conversation throughout dinner let alone answer Luna's questions. A small consolation was that the odor wasn't strong enough to reach their room, at least not in a way it made thinking too hard.

It must have been midnight, Luna was sleeping softly breathing as she dozed peacefully blissfully unaware as to how agitated her demon friend had become. Samael tossed and turned until he quietly sighed in exasperation, sitting upright in his mere trousers upon the brown couch. 

Moonlight filtered in from a porthole above, casting a pale light upon the demon's bare chest, Sam wiped the sweat from his brow staring out from the tiny circle of the singular window in the room and up at the bright orb set in the darkness of the clear sky above the sea. Blinking his crimson eyes to adjust to the darkness of the cabin, Sam was exhausted and his mind was scattered. He needed something to do, lest the rocking of the ship make him nauseous thus the demon felt around the couch until his hand found the small book Luna had told him to read.

Yet no matter how much he read in the dim light of their quarters late that night, none of it made a grain of sense to Samael. It might have been the late hours he spent pouring through the pages too tired to have enough of a grasp of context to properly understand the story or the subtext of the whole book as it flew right over the poor demon's head. 

Or maybe the air was too thick even deep below deck, for even a mild-mannered monster like Sam to be able to ignore, it's call primitive and strong. No longer could he focus on reading, the pages had no answers to his questions anyways. A light snap was made as the book closed, the demon gently setting it aside while he once more stared out into the night. It was peaceful, the gentle rocking of the ship while also nauseating was admittedly pleasant. Sam's gaze however drifted from the porthole as a sigh escaped the bunny girl's mouth in her sleep.

Staring at her Sam felt something, something unlike the warm feeling he got in his chest whenever Lunatea spoke softly to him in almost a whisper close to his little ears with her hands gently squeezing his shoulders. Unlike the bubbly flutter in his stomach when she had her hands all over him. No, this feeling was unlike any the demon had ever experienced; it was so strong and oppressively heavy, almost like a primal urge too powerful to fight. Sam wanted answers, he needed answers and he wasn't going to wait. No book had the key to unlocking the emotions he felt, he desired answers, answers only his body knew no lusted to answer and only Luna was the one who would receive it.

"I-I want you."

Shaken from his thoughts by the sudden pull of Lunatea's hand, Samael had to vigorously shake his head to dispel himself from his reverie while the bunny girl practically dragged him along with her as they made their way towards the village below. All the short demon could manage to do in response to her words was offer a confused "Huh?" looking almost comically overwhelmed by everything going on around him as he simply nodded to his friends words absent-mindedly muttering "Uh-huh." every so often, it kind of confused a small part of him why she hadn't wanted to talk until now. Was she bugged by what happened, or...Had anything happened?

Why did it feel as though he had no control, like he'd been a stranger in his own body?
