In the space between a blink and a tear, the ignored moment of suspenseful silence between a beating heart, in the split fraction of a time that only exists when your eyes are closed; the tavern was invaded.

In what feels like but a blink a sudden rippling shockwave of wind signals the reality of the situation.
Tables were suddenly in an upturned position, random chairs were missing or replaced shattered against a corner wall. A man, only a moment ago a silent drunk, now lay sprawled out lifeless across the tavern floor meters from his chair. His head even further away.

All the devastation, destruction and clutter seemed to be focused and emanating from around a single spot. A three meter clearing existed amongst the almost magically appearing rubble.
Perfectly in the centre sat an old large treasure chest, locked by a solid complex mechanism and adorned by a folded golden letter. It clearly wasn't there a second ago...

Red then throws in a quick kick agi 5

Blue is too alert and just dodges, Aw 5 +0 (resolution 0)
Having dodged blue quickly throws his own quick attacks Agi 5

Red defends with his chi pushing blue back. 6+2 (resolution 0)
Red charges following up with a mighty punch! Str 7

Blue relies on his fading reflexes Aw 5-1+2 (resolution -1(-3)) Blue unleashes a powerful beam. Chi 7

Red braces himself and defends against the attack End 7+2-1
Red quickly throws another kick. Agi 5

Blue can't rely on his reflexes again and summons his chi to protect him. Chi 7+2-1

Red laughs at the weak attack and dodges Aw3+2

The loud rumbling of an old clacking Harley Davidson motor tore to life, cutting through the serene peaceful silence of the coming morning.
As the first rays of sunlight peered over the hill they saw Clay loading his duffle bag onto an old dusty bike and checking over the relic.

Moments ago he had awoken with a splitting headache, poor recollection of the night and a strange girl wrapped in his arm. Nothing unusual there, but what he was missing was the overpowering residue of whiskey on his breath, that meant things weren't normal.

When it came to matters of the wolf Clay had learned to switch off, a defence or coping mechanism if you will. For they were different people, he couldn't deal with the things it had done, he didn't even want to know.
He had spent over half his life running from it, drinking fighting and fucking his senses into oblivion just to hide from those blurry memories.
Like a multi hooked fishing line, when one comes to surface there are always more and deeper ones to follow.

Clay could never risk facing them or the carnage he caused so he was quick to do the only thing he knew how to, run.
Run somewhere new where there was no one or anything to remind him of the things he didn't want to remember.

With plenty of practise, Clay had gathered his things and silently left the room.
Now Clay sat on the rumbling leather seat of the bike and twisted back the throttle, for a moment the bike let out a fierce roar that filled him with a nostalgic excitement, but it was suddenly cut short by a loud 'clack' as the bike stalled.
Clay cursed angrily at it.

How about run off because she was a bit overwhelmed but despite her best efforts and intentions the mysteries of the forest always led her back to the tavern.
She was stuck...

So your gonna have to come inside sooner or later. ;)

Fairy Tail: We Are Family

Can I be the Edolas counterpart to your paladin-like Christopher?
Where he grew up rough and became holy, I grew up holy then abandoned morals and became self serving?

I'm thinking he stole some special rechargeable shadow lacrima to be opposite Christopher's holy magic.
His secret is that he stole it from the Edolas fairy tail guild.

Be it lacrima, a spell book, or some other source of power.

He comes to the earth land guild to find his counterpart.

Wanna slap together a character and give it a go?

I need to experiment first with the basics, and then a few odd characters.
The idea is you might be able to build a character with advantage over another but then someone else could do the same to you.

Plus there will be NPC's in the story line.

Hopefully the choice of which attack or defence to use adds a little variability and uncertainty to the match.

Once ironed out I plan to add consumable items for that expenditure boost when needed. Also a LM advancing system.

Actually I was upset to find that you said her magic did that to him. I would say a combination of her magic and the telepath being in his head maybe but she didn't do antyhing like that to him.

Alright, I'll edit it to be a mix of shunting the telepath out and just a bit of a mental collapse by Clay. You settled the wolf but it left some damage on the way.
Its a sever case, but its ok. It's not you, it's him. :)
