Hey, you know what's annoying? Being self-centered. Getting mad at people for doing something instead of something else when they're just having fun sucks. Gotta love self-loathing, too.

You're looking at it too deeply. We always fight for peace, everyone, but the reason why we fight instead of taking obvious easier methods is because if what I'm talking about. I'm not saying that one side advocates for peace and one for chaos cosciously or intentionally, but the fact that fighting is what is always resorted to when the need to solve a problem arises suggests an internal inclination toward chaos.

You're arguing from a binary position. To counterpoint, the subjective evil position is that everyone believes what they are doing is good, with VERY few exceptions, and that leads to what others or even the same person considers evil. For example, killing in the name of a deity. Obviously they believe they're doing good, even if they find killing to be evil, and others view it as evil, so the opposing goods conflict.

I think that's just light. The character this pic was ripped from probably wouldn't blush.

I disagree. Greed is also a source that has nothing to do with pride.

Also one of the seven, so doesn't count. But it can be argued that greed comes from pride. "I want these things because I deserve them inherently. I deserve everything."
<Snipped quote by Legend>

I like it. And it stems from pride, too. A very clever teacher of mine once said that all sins, and even many negative emotions all stem from pride as a source.

That's why it's the highest of the seven sins in those that count the seven as special.

It's actually extremely high.

Not so much so that it gives us physical strength after chasing prey so that we can murder them without a tool. :/

Here's my insight: Human beings have a natural tendency to be in control, whether it be of themselves, others, "fate," etc. This is evident through claustrophobia, leadership, and the fear of the unknown. The latter is especially important because it holds many implications; we know it to be true because knowledge allows us to gain greater control, and if we have no knowledge, we have absolutely no control over our situations and futures, particularly because we can't plan accordingly. This leads to submission throughout the world, and a desire to be controlled by some, because they desire a leader who does know, because that is less risky and allows them to be in more control than attempting to do so themselves. Because of this desire for control over others, humans have to find a way to force this to occur. This cannot happen from an intellectual standpoint because they cannot guarantee the other will comply or even agree (considering the average intelligence of a human), adding yet another variable beyond their grasp. However, there is one concept that prevents a human from being able to escape the control of another: death. Therefore, humans fight and are drawn toward fighting because it allows them to express both their own strength, limiting defiance, but the better fighter they are, the more likely it is that they are able to inflict death upon their enemies, and control those who stand in their way.

Oh, so Aizen's approach. Totally forgot about that.

Again, endurance. I'm not arguing against tools, but rather that we have something that other creatures don't.

You're vastly overestimating the endurance difference.
<Snipped quote by DarkwolfX37>

I disagree. Persistence Hunting, for instance.

And once we catch them, then what? Use our depleted strength? We need a tool to kill, even if just a rock.
