- Replace these with new ones randomly every 1-3 weeks
- Always travel with a group
- Carry a pocket knife with an at least 3.5 inch blade
- Wear hoodies as much as possible and always wear the hood up. Barring this, wear hats.
- Don't listen to music while outside
- Do a 360 check of your surroundings every 30 yards
- Always have matches and a compass on hand in case you get chased somewhere you get lost at
- Stay close to public spaces as much as possible
- If chased, try to move towards government funded locations, especially fire departments and police stations. Anywhere that would have guards.
- Learn the layout of alleyways within ten miles of your location in case you need to escape a car. Same with forests and woodlands.
- Always carry a flashlight. If nothing else, you might be able to stun someone with the light.
- If someone approaches you with a weapon, don't turn your back on them for more than 5 seconds, even to run away.
- If you are confronted by someone with a firearm, comply with their demands. You aren't Rambo, you aren't going to win a fight unless they hold it to your head and you're trained to use that against them.
- If you suspect you're being followed, discreetly call the non-emergency police number for your area and stay on the line. If you get kidnapped be sure to keep your phone hidden and connected to that number.
- Remember that you can text 911 if you can't speak for whatever reason.
- Do not fight unless as an absolute last option.
- Do not hide in any location that there is only one exit route from. That means no buildings there are not guards in, no dumpsters, no trash cans, nothing. Running is better than hiding.
- If you absolutely MUST fight, stay defensive. Counters are the best approach, not forwards. Aim to kill, not incapacitate.
- If you absolutely MUST fight a group, aim to disarm first and foremost. Most people who attack in groups don't know how to fight unarmed.
- Always determine if someone is armed before decided to fight, even if you have no other option.
- If at all possible, when confronted and forced to fight, call 911 discreetly and stay on the line during the fight.
- Remember that police can track your phone as long as it's on, even if you've disabled tracking.
- If you're being chased on foot, crossing roads is a good idea. Make sure you're careful not to get hit, but the busier the street the better. Not only is there a chance your pursuers will get run over, but that's also a good way to get more people likely to call the police on your behalf.
- Shout to get attention but be sure to not shout for at least 30 seconds before trying to hide, especially at night. That increases your chances of being noticed by helpers and lowers your chances of being caught hiding.
- The best direction to go if you're being chased is the direction you came from, assuming you can get out of sight of your pursuers for at least 15 seconds. Try to get them to run past you, then go back the way you came. It's the last direction chasers will think to go.
- If you're hiding and whoever's after you passes you, count to 40 before leaving your hiding spot. Make sure they're far enough away that you can't hear them before starting counting.

Also, if you remember the walking from AC, that's actually very useful when sneaking by someone. To increase your chances, take your shoes off quietly before trying to sneak by.

I usually don't buy full price. I wait for steam sales. Though the issue here is that I contributed to a kickstarter and it fucking didn't work so I tried the paypal alternative and it is literally hell to try to get through. Even making a new account it rejected both my card and my mom's card both of which should work, and it never sent the fucking recovery text for my old one.
