It was obvious that she was being ignored. Normally, Violet would just put him in his place, but with Luna clearly in his employ she forced herself to soften her image of the man. As easy as it would be to break him, especially with her newfound power, she had no desire to alienate a confirmed member of her kind and someone who could safely be assumed to be one. Not to mention that Luna would certainly retaliate, likely with that very prominent firearm over her shoulder. She sighed internally. No use wasting the potential resource. Not like I have a dissection stratagem yet, either... Still, she'd have to do something about that attitude at some point. It was dangerous, and she had finally found people other than her parents and closest friends who she had a vested interest in keeping safe; members of her own kind, her own brand new species, potentially. She retrieved her notebook and looked it over, stifling a laugh at Jennifer's artistry and the irony of it. She carefully placed it back in her guitar case and locked it before taking the slip of paper Ashton wrote on, incredibly tempted to read it out loud just to get even.

Luna's statement made her smile. She looked pointedly at Ashton before speaking.

"Oh would you look at that, I was right. And now we know how much our enemy knows. There's only two questions left to ask, at this point. Do you trust the man behind the curtain? And what do we call ourselves? Hmm..." She pondered for a moment. Aha! "Variantes! Silent 'e,' of course. The English word isn't fitting for a classification. And if we're 'Variantes...'" Violet gasped. "We can be the V-club! It's perfect!" She chuckled inwardly but kept a cheerful straight face as she said it. "Onwards, V-club! Let's see what the puppeteer wants from the newborns."

I don't remember ever reading that Luna got read of her phone. I figured she'd still have a burner phone... I honestly can't remember anyone tossing their phones.

Luna and Demarcus, I believe. Though I still don't know how Luna can get a text on a phone she doesn't have. Is Ashton going to get the text and give it to her?

Dude different shows have been stealing my ideas as far back as I can remember, AND one of my planned but never likely to happen series had a very similar premise to this one technology-wise. When I first heard about it I heard it was set in the real world with an overlay which was the idea in question.

I can't find it in my pms but I KNOW I wrote it out in one, so it might have even been so long ago that it was before the guild reset.

God damnit. When I heard about Ordinal Scale I KNEW it was stealing my idea and now I've confirmed it.
Not that it was THAT original of an idea, Digimon basically did it, but still.
Hell, it was even one of the ways that I suggested SAO could've been better, so that's a plus.
Too bad it didn't redeem the movie.

I'm kinda iffy on that. Based on what was written your character didn't have a choice but to figure out how use her powers and had to do it quickly. However she still a kid getting shot at.

Oooh, good. Someone I don't have an opinion on but Violet might.

It's more "hey can I borrow your gun and your car keys cool I'mma destroy their stuff" sort of thing rather than a "I can totally solo these guys" thing. It might not even be possible in the first place if she can't total borrow JJ or Ashton's vehicle.
Though Ashton's would make for some interesting interaction...

Oneshot is awesome. But it means someone beat me to my idea, at least partially. And it's one of those games that leaves an emptiness beyind when it's over. Highly recommend it.

It occurs to me that I need a few quick pieces of information soonish.

Is this set in our world or an alternate but extremely similar one?

What year is it?

Who is the President?

And is it okay for Violet to wreck shit or is it too early for her to show off a bit? It'd mostly be strategy rather than power, just to be clear.
