Looking through the new cards could wait until it was safely hatched, and the 'Pixelmon' didn't interest her. As a presumably non-living program, priority went towards the soon to be hatched life in her hand.

I still don't understand the "I want to die" mentality. Even if you are living in the streets begging for money, there are a lot who do that, and they still want to live. Logically its stupid. I mean damn, what hormone causes that desire to die?
There's a massive difference though. Being in a situation like homelessness triggers the survival instinct, which isn't the case in other situations. And there's a large difference between wanting to die and actually trying to die.

Well, yeah, it's selfish. And depending on how you view hell as being, either nobody deserves it or everyone does. It's rarer for something to be in between than at those two extremes.

I basically want to be able to say how long it took the original V-Pets to trigger its events, and what the plot to "Digimon V-Tamer 3" and "Digimon V-Tamer 5," two manga that I'm pretty sure don't actually exist in real life, are. And then just to say that the previous owners of the digimon franchise released a "digifarm" program to upload V-Pet digimon, along with a special port device, to a computer and made it downloadable rather than server-side shortly before the buyout.
Then I'd just either like to know the number of V-Pet generations there have been before the D-Scanner or whether I can just make up a number for that. And I guess how many different types were in each generation.
Since I assume that D-Connect was where the new programming language came from, I figured all the V-Pets before that buyout would be programmed like they are in real life, I'd just want to change the times when the events like hunger trigger.
Forgive my blatancy but that is totally wrong. Not everyone is driven by the need to stand above others, to be superior than those around them. While selfishness is a part of humanity, self righteousness isn't. There are a lot of people who feel like that but far from every human.

For the record, I just came up with a massive character development subplot for Violet, but I'm highly sleep deprived and might not remember it when I wake up. If I do I'll write it all out somewhere to use as things go along, but I basically need to know if there's any restrictions on essentially making up what happened with the digimon franchise before D-Connect came along. Particularly if it's okay to make up two manga series from before and around the time of the buyout respectively, and about how the V-Pets worked on a technical level and the number of generation of V-Pets, as well as what the previous owners of the franchise did just before the buyout in regards to a supplement program.
I know that's a bunch of stuff that seems really early to ask about but I could potentially incorporate the subplot as soon as my next IC post if I remember it and all.
