I like to believe that that it looks like the worst dysfunctional family ever to anyone else but in practice it always worked out with them being a really close and loving family. It helps that when there were actual problems they could always substitute out to another them to cool their heads and get new perspectives on the issues. Plus she could actually get away with beating the shit out of Dark without having to worry about repercussions or doing serious damage.
