Seeing actual bushfire footage looks straight out of Hell... It moves so quickly and so powerfully, literally the trees just ignite. You firefighters are absolute legends, but please, don't die.

Welcome to my little personal den of Hell! Sorry, sorry, I meant my personal profile. Same thing, right?

I'm a roleplayer, same as any around here. I've been doing it for about five years now, coming up to six in September. Its been quite the time, thinking back. I started out fresh as can be, understanding the basics of writing but never quite knowing how to become better, or become as great as those around me. In the end, I did the only thing I really knew at the time:

Write as much garbage as possible and hope for the best!

As you can see, that particular tactic fucking failed.
Jokes aside, I like to think I've developed a lot over the years, both as a writer and as a person. However, absolutely nothing can dissuade my weeaboo ways and supporting my OTP with all that I can freaking muster! If you haven't already guessed, said OTP is Chrom x Robin (Chrobin) from Fire Emblem: Awakening. Highly recommend the game, there's a reason (other than nintendo's cheapskate attitude) that it hasn't dropped in price, it's honestly the best place to start off in the series. And hey, maybe you'll end up addicted like me and want to buy every game on the 3DS like a fucking loony?

Speaking of loonies, the Fire Emblem Chrobin Comic Dub Project has recently finished, so for those of you who also appreciate the best ship in existence, I highly recommend it. Hell, even if you're not interested in that, I do highly recommend watching it for those into fantasy love stories. The quality improves drastically with each episode, so trust me when I say by the end of it you should be thoroughly impressed. It has helped motivate me in ways I can hardly describe with words, and so I thought the least I could do was put this out there. Maybe it's not for everyone, but I know it was the perfect thing for me.

"Do you think you can tip any of the scales in here?"
"Chrom, for the love of Naga, I'm thinking..."

"So I heard."

"There are better places
to take a nap than
on the ground, you know."

@Lucius Cypher It'd take a fair deal of insanity to get Emile to break character and go crazy on everyone, but it'll be fun to slaughter a bunch of randoms ^-^ Cheeky liferusher trying to give the players and characters both insanity XD

Guess we'll just wait and see :P Though it'll be thought-provoking for the young amnesiac to witness a large scene most probably accompanied by blood (though then again that's part pf the body), but with no bodies :3
Also, NPC's don't come back. Only us PC's can, even if we're playing natives to the world. So someone like Maria would come back if she died, but random soldier #14 won't. Or whoever the GM designates as an NPC character.

Killing NPCs is no big deal, they die like regular people. But simply trying to kill a boss or the like surrounded by others will not work so well. If you die after having killed any NPCs by your own hands in the last 10 minutes the NPCs in those 10 minutes will get back to live again.

I love to get mind-fucked too and roleplaying insanity, it's just the contradictions in what's written in the rules that I'm struggling with here :P E.g above where Life says NPCs can come back to life hurts my tiny brain, unless it's referring to players, but that wouldn't make any sense with the current mechanics XD

The rules are as big a mystery as the role play itself! ^-^
@Sigment The one ";" I haven't seen yet XD A lot of people hate Chaos;Notes (for reasons I can only assume as 'not being Steins;Gate') but I actually quite enjoyed the anime ^-^ The psychological-mystery element really play key parts in the show (which I'm a sucker for), and the show never ceases to mind-fuck you at every corner possible :D My main criticism for it is that I would've liked the ending more had it stuck more to it's roots as a psychological mystery, but even so, I thought it was great :P I binged it in a single night XD

As for Steins;Gate... well, I'll late the Internet speak for me on that regard ;) never escaped my top 5, and likely never will; the show is a perfect combination of development, conflict, and resolution :3 The science in both shows sound somewhat credible, depending on your understanding of physics and/or psychology, but Steins;Gate focuses a lot more on time travel which leads to some interesting developments c: it may take you a bit to understand the concept of World Lines, but once you understand the science, everything will piece together quite nicely XD

That's my opinion of both - I don't think I spoiled anything ^-^ Oh, and if you think the first few episodes of Steins;Gate are boring, just remember it's a development stage and sets the scene :)

How's Robotics;Notes btw?
@Lunarlors34 Whenever I read that though, I can't help but feel like the whole narrative would rewind, because Life stated that you explicitly go back in time, just like in Re:Zero :3 Yet the incident also takes place and remains at the same time, so the only way I could see it happening is if people went forward in time.

In the case of going back, you'd need to take everyone back in time or have separate timelines to adjust anything from the past, which could change a character's course entirely :O Yet if you spawn in the future, it becomes a question of where, why and how you even got there (you can apply RP magic here ;)), and how memory works (which is a bit harder).

Maybe I'm tired and overthinking things, but it's best to have these questions answered now in case of future reference ;)

@Lucius Cypher So, in a sense, upon death the person ceases to exist, yet the things they've done and carry remain within the world? But that'd be a pretty weird experience if someone killed a RBD player, only to see them alive again later :P I know they'd likely forget in that time, due to the memory wiping aspect, but it sounds like an interesting opportunity to Rp some mind-fuckery :D

Thanks! ^-^ Really helped me out, there!

Ooh, but one last thing: that would mean those who died in the fire-bombing wouldn't be there on Emile's arrival, right?
Guys? Quick question!

Maybe I just need to re-read the death mechanics >_>
@6slyboy6 I don't have any objections ^-^

Almost as soon as Emile finishes speaking, another young man makes his introduction, and if she had to say, he was rather cute. Keeping that thought to the confines of her mind, she listens closely as the man introduces himself to her, as well as his companion. "Oh, hello there! Um, that's very kind of you, but you see, I don't exactly know where I need guidance to." Chuckling softly, she peaks her head past the cute boy to the 'Hero' behind him. He certainly didn't look like much, though appearances weren't everything. She offers a kind smile and gentle wave as he speaks, confirming his 'Hero' title, also offering assistance. "Why, you two gentlemen are far too kind! However, you need not worry - I believe I have found ample assistance in these young men. Er... man and wolf-man."

The wolf-man speaks after her, apparently knowing Mister Penguin to some degree, and saying their assistance was ample indeed, but not required. The situation was relatively calm for the most part, penguin-man now taking the stage. "So, you got dumped or something?" He asks, coughing to himself as he prepares a more formal introduction after a moment of thought. "Ahem, ahem, I almost forgot to introduce myself, my lady, I'm Kurokono, just a wandering Ronin from a backwater village."

"I suppose, in a manner of speaking, I was. I just woke up not too long ago." States the young noblewoman as she studies the definite man before her. "A pleasure to meet you, Sir Kurokono. My name is Emile von Pâtre, of the Pâtre house situated here in Lugnica. And, uh, dare I ask what exactly 'Ronin' is...?"

Her voice grew quieter and quieter when she pieced together he and the Hero weren't exactly getting along. According to Kurokono, the Hero and his companion were assassins on a mission to kill her! But that didn't make any sense! She hadn't even done anything! Well, at least anything she could recall, at least...

The situation was rapidly escalating, and although Emile wished to speak up, her voice just couldn't quite find the courage. Staring up at the two rather agitated figures, she couldn't help but feel the urge to get away. She wasn't sure what this fight would bring, but she began to feel anxious about the two parties wounding themselves within the city. All this, coupling with the new girl who was saying her life was a lie, was making Emile rather uncomfortable, almost to the point of tearing up again.

However, that was when she saw it, rising into the sky in the distance...

She quizzes, question aimed more-so to herself than to those within her party. Needless to say, as soon as she could confirm it was smoke (and the surrounding populous was apparently apathetic towards said danger), Emile pushes herself past the two standing in the alleyway entrance, sprinting straight in the direction of the smoke as fast as she could. "Akra!" A golden light flashes about her body, as the weight of her entire body is suddenly lifted, almost as though she were gliding through the air now. Stamina effectively maintained and speed quickened, Emile sprints for the slums where the smoke is rising, to survey the scene.
