I'm going to go ahead and drop out of this because I've been having a hard time finding the motivation to get this sheet written and my interest has somewhat faded after the initial spike and it wouldn't be fair to keep dragging this out with faltering interest while holding an ambiguous claim on a major power without getting a sheet written. Hope you all have fun and hope it goes well ^-^

Wish you well in any case
Anyone have some good reading for this era? Trying to drill down on the revolutionary side of things and I’ll admit I don’t know much about this particular time period.

Here's a decent place to start on the predominant movement in the UK at the time:

Chartism, a radical movement in England
The Newport Rising, the last large-scale armed protest in the UK
The Young Ireland Movement, which wanted a free Ireland and engaged in several rebellions

While not British based explicitly I'm reading the 18th Brumaire of Louis Napoleon for inspiration and you could probably pick out a generalized idea from it. Tale of Two Cities might also be a good fiction to read since it is based on the lead up to and through the hottest period of the Terror, if heavily fictionalized and Anglo'd but does lay out the British view of the Revolution in France and probably would could be extended as the British view of the Continental Revolution as a whole.

Great app. Small error: Napoleon's final defeat was in 1822, not 21. Unless even I messed something up somewhere.
Mulling over the prospect of playing as the Papal States.

I'm going to steal your fucking papal keys
@Pagemaster

It looks good to me chief but I also get the impression from the content and structure it's still sort of work in progress. I get the sense you could probably shine a light on the internal crises of the Empire. Being perhaps the least or last touched by the Napoleonic fervor there'd be some hard arguments about the British role in Europe in the world at large or the social or political movements from within the eternal tory rule of England or English society at large.

@Pagemaster, Can I have Lord Byron as King of my Greece? I dislike Otto the Barvarian.

Stop being a pussy and embrace the groundwork for any revolution. That's what the RP is going for.

Well, if you insist.

@Yam I Am

Pretty much. Notarizing this post as a thing I said.
@Letter Bee Bee, gotta be honest with you. Didn't think I'd wake up and do a shift of work to come back to forty-some-odd posts of squabbling with you about shit. Especially when I can say without any irony: damn you got the whole gang laughing. And if this is the sort of thing I can expect, and the absolute inflexibility of anything then I will have to deny you. And not only for that, but for the first time deny you for posting cringe.

If you want to be a part of this RP after this, then I will have to state: you must now go to the Balkans or the Baltics.

God damn it.

@Yam I Am
Checks out chief, welcome aboard.
