Vic

After quieting down, the boy elected to himself. Socializing in completely normal circumstances was hard enough for Vic, but this was anything but normal. Conversations played out around him, and even an arrival of someone Agni already knew. But all this just sort washed over Vic, who found himself just barely registering any of these things. With a small sigh he moved himself to quietly slip out of the room, it was starting to feel crowded anyway. Instead he chose walk around and explore a bit. The dinosaur certainly interested him and Vic definitely wanted to try "listening" to him later but not right now. Right now he wanted to get a better idea of where exactly he was.

Someone had mentioned a ship earlier, and that certainly proved itself to be true. So they were in Space or something? The actual science or explanations of what any of this was and how it all worked was lost on him. And honestly, it was harder than it sounded trying to navigate the corridors of the ship despite the close quarters. But least he had some time to think a bit. Vic closed his eyes and thought back to Twoson, not out of fear this time. Instead he replayed events with a critical mind, trying to make heads or tails out of what exactly happened and just who the hooded monster was. They were a PSI user, that much was obvious. But even on his absolute best days, Vic had never reached such a level of power, in fact he didn't know such a level of power was even possible. But if it was, then maybe Vic didn't have to be so helpless after all. If the hooded monster could command such PSI then Vic would just have to figure out how to do so himself to counter them. But then there was the matter of the Keyblade. Not once was Vic able to summon it again ever since waking up in Renovation, and that made him wonder if he would ever be able to summon it again without Terrence and Ashley by his side.

"There you are, kupo!" the unmistakable voice of a Moogle cried. Vic gave a smile and wave to the Moogle, "Tocsax wanted me to make sure you were feeling okay, kupo."

"Uh-huh." Vic said with a smile and nod, "I'm fine, I think, but..." he interrupted himself with a small nod, "...could you point me somewhere I can rest? I'm pretty tired."

"Over that way, kupo! Just pick any of the doors that are unlocked, and don't worry, the pranks were already disarmed, kupo!"

"Pranks?" Vic tilted his head, not sure what the Moogle meant. But he nodded and waved as he left the Moogle, "Well, thanks! Wake me when we get there, okay?" and with that he was gone, choosing one of the rooms and letting himself collapse on the bed, sleep almost immediately washing over him.
Ezra & Shun

Mecca, Green Sahara
@Nerevarine@Tenma Tendo

The Paralysis spell was strong, almost too strong. The brothers were helpless for what felt like ages. Both were still conscious, still aware of their surroundings, and painfully aware of just how much time was passing. If something didn't happen, then things would become a whole lot worse, not just for Ezra and Shun, but for everyone. Fortunately for Shun, he eventually began to feel the spell slowly start to wear off. It seemed the Makai Armor did it's job in nullifying the brunt of the spell's effect. The same couldn't be said for Ezra though, his body remain stiff and unable to move. But even as Shun was able to start making his body move in a stiff manner, he did his best to remain still for the time being. Even though time was not on his side, he had to wait for a better opportunity to act.

The brothers were brought before a huge gathering in a city that they heard someone call Mecca. Mecca? As in the Middle East? They were that far from home? Of course, the idea of them being on a whole other world didn't cross their mind because, well, why would it? Eventually Ezra was hauled off by a couple of men and Shun caught the slightest of glances at where. Was that a...? Why would they do this? What had the brothers done to apparently deserve such an execution? In his armor, Shun looked like an unholy warrior, granted, but what about Ezra? There had to be more to this, but Shun couldn't afford to think about it. Ezra, he had to save Ezra!

15 seconds remaining.

His armored hand clenched into a fist before Shun suddenly pushed himself upright and into a surprise lunge at the man standing guard. Thankfully his paralyzed hand held onto the Makai Sword's hilt so he still possessed it even now. Shun used it to instantly cut the guard down. He was breaking all kinds of rules doing this, using his power against mortals and preparing to let his fully armored self be seen in full view by the public. But no, no that was Ezra being tossed onto a pyre... Ezra! Shun's brother and, truth be told, his best friend as well. Screw the rules, Shun was going to save his little brother no matter what price he had to pay!

8 seconds remaining.

"Let my brother go you bastards!" Shun let himself shout in a guttural voice that was also rendered somewhat distorted from under his helmet, "6 seconds before we're all dead, what's it going to be?" he pointed his sword in Malachi's direction, a threatening gesture to be sure. Even then, pulses of Darkness already began appearing to seep out from within the armor. No matter what the response was, it was already too late.

0 seconds remaining.

BGM: Hellfire

The sounds of a beating heart resonated from Shun's armor. The Darkness had only been pulsating a moment earlier suddenly exploded like an erupting volcano. The light red eyes on the helmet suddenly glowed a much brighter crimson. Then a voice that sounded somewhat like Shun's let out a guttural scream that seemed to morph midway into a beastly roar. As the roar came, the beastly creature depicted in the armor's motif seemed to spring to life, as if taking control away from the armor's wearer. The Lost Soul Beast tightened its grip on the hilt of the Makai Sword. Where before Shun had to put extra effort into swinging or heaving such a heavy blade, the Lost Soul Beast displayed no such limitation and lunged with inhuman speed and in its rage swung the sword at whomever was nearest to it. It's strength was unnatural, like some kind of unholy demon beast able to swing a heavy weapon with ease that would take a man all his strength to do so.

And to make matters worse various blue and purple creatures began to emerge from the Lost Soul Beast's ever growing shadow. They were the Unversed, drawn to this world by the unbridled Darkness and Hatred that fueled the Lost Soul Beast's rampage.

And Ezra, still paralyzed, could only watch in helpless horror as his brother sacrificed himself to the greatest flaw and limitation of the Armor he wore.
@Double So I was thinking about the Devices we'd be using to transform. I have no issues going solo on this but I figured you should know about it at least. I plan on my Rider using a device called the X-Driver (seeing as he'd be an original Rider creation of the Foundation). I thought it'd be appropriate.

EDIT: Knowledge on the Foundation is bare, if they have a pre-existing original Driver already, let me know.

They don't. Their usual MO is copying preexisting stuff, but them experimenting with their own Driver isn't out of the question either.
Honestly? Dragon Knight is way better than Ryuki. Ryuki' s problem is that the main Rider (aka the guy we're supposed to be rooting for) was an unlikable hypocrite that refused to ever admit when he was wrong. Dragon Knights main Rider was far more likeable and relatable and the show even had moments where it seemed to be calling out Ryuki for its flawed writing and jerkass characters.
@Double Just did some research on Foundation X. I like the wide reaching purpose they serve. It works well with the diversity our characters will most likely have between one another. How’d you feel about our characters birth or Rider creation being close to one another?

That's fine. The backstory I was gonna go with involved my Rider being tasked with gathering data on the monsters that are appearing as well as data on the various other Riders as well. You could probably go with that as well if you want. Our Riders can know each other but aren't necessarily friends, at least not in the beginning. Early on it probably makes more sense for them to behave more like mere coworkers than as friends.
@Double Forreal lol. Than whats up with Decade? Doesn't travel to different worlds or something like that?

He does, but those are non canon versions of the Riders, not the real ones. Decade is... kinda stupid overall.
@Renny Sure, but the Riders are actually in one world. Build was an exception due to its main plot but even it ended with its world merging into the main one.
Honestly I was planning to use Foundation X as the reason why my guy is using a preexisting Rider gimmick. Foundation X is already known in canon to study the various Rider power sources (Gaia Memories, Medals, etc) so it would make a lot of sense if they used their research to create their own knock-off Rider. My only thing is I can't decide which gimmick to use. I've got an idea for a Shift Car/Signal Bike user called Kamen Rider Brake, but at the same time Astro Switches might be a fun choice and W happens to be my favorite Rider of all time (duh, look at my username) and so going with Gaia Memories also seems like an obvious choice.
@GoMach I'm interested if there's still time to jump in.

Shibuya District, World of Makai
@Nerevarine

Even in the dead of night, the streets of Shibuya were lit like a sports stadium. Like many metropolises, it was a city that never truly slept. Someone somewhere was always out for some reason or another. There seemed to be just such a person in one of the lonelier alleyways. An alluring woman, slender and with long raven hair. She wore a similarly black dress, one that allowed her to show off her hourglass figure. She walked alone with an almost seductive saunter, her stilettos making a loud echo on the pavement. She wasn't alone for very long, in moments she found herself face to face with a man. He wore what looked like some kind of light grey or white coat, it's hood drawn to partially obscure his face. No words were exchanged, just a beautiful smile and a gesture of invitation before the woman began to saunter off, expecting the man to follow. And follow he did, until he found himself alone with her at the dead end of an alleyway.

"So the rumors were true." a voice, the man's. He seemed to look glance around himself in curiosity before focusing his attention back on the woman he followed, "Still seems like a strange place for something like this." the woman still did not say a word. She glanced back at him with an inviting smile, even letting one of the strips of her dress slip down almost like a preview of what she was promising. The man said nothing more and took a few more steps closer to her. The woman's smile widened almost with joy, but just as the man would have been in arm's reach she let out a high pitched shriek. Her once beautiful face contorted into something monstrous and terrifying before she suddenly twisted around to lung at her human prey. However, a flash of light burst from the man's hand as he spun his body around, summoning his key-shaped weapon directly into a spin slash that repelled the attack and sent the Horror staggering, "Tonight the hunter becomes the hunted. Sorry about that."

Meanwhile, there was another who had not made his presence known. He watched the encounter from above on a rooftop. When the "woman" revealed her true nature and moved to attack, the man made his move. With a heavy curved sword in hand he dropped straight down from the 20 story roof he was standing on. On his way down he slashed his sword at the air, the blade appearing to cut a swath into another dimension, and from it several pieces of purple armor flew out and formed themselves around him. By the time he hit the ground, he had fully donned his armor and the Makai Knight brought his mighty blade crashing down on the surprised Horror, appearing to cleave it in two. He heaved the heavy sword around in a show before pointing it at the other man. This garnered an almost annoyed reaction from the man with the Keyblade.

"You know I had that one, right?" he asked, blunt and in a matter-of-fact tone and completely unfazed by the Knight's show of strength.

"I saw an opening and took it." answered the knight, his voice sounding slightly distorted from under his helmet, "Besides, since when were we keeping score?" unfortunately the Horror wasn't quite dead yet. It started reforming itself right behind the Makai Knight. This prompted the Keyblade Wielder to suddenly point his weapon in the knight's direction so that a beam of light could shoot from the tip, zipping past the Knight's head and hitting the Horror before it could launch a counter strike, "See? The kill is still yours, happy now?" asked the knight.

Before the Keyblade Wielder could answer, swarms of Unversed began appearing in the Horror's place. At least, that was the name the two brothers had decided to give these mysterious monsters. They always seemed to show up in the aftermath of Horror attacks or even while one was in progress. The Makai Knight and the Keyblade-wielding Makai Priest went on the attack, fighting as if they'd rehearsed this exact scenario a hundred times before. Thankfully the Unversed group wasn't a large one and the two cut them all down soon enough. But before the two could relax they found themselves at the epicenter of a portal opening around them.

"What the?" the Keyblade Wielder exclaimed, but before anything else could be said or done, the two were gone from their world. And the place they next found themselves would not be friendly at all.
