Hanna taking the towel made Henry feel a little more relaxed. Henry began to rise from his knee. Frankly, he was happy the girl didn't seem to have been freighted by him running up on her and Oscar. Henry started to wonder why they would be bullying this girl knowing fully well that it usually comes from a place of self-inferiority. Well Henry was just happy he could provide some kind of help.
"I'll return your towel later. I'm sorry but I think I'll need to borrow it for awhile." the girl said to Henry.
"No problem." Henry replied to the girl. It made Henry a little happy that he will most likely get his towel back.
As she bought out her card he was reaffirmed that he would get his towel back, simple things like this is what made his day usually so he was pretty stoked for it all things considered. As he looked at the card she handed to him he discovered her name was Hanna. He read the rank but it didn't really register what that meant at the time. What did register was her class was number. Alright, if I don't get my towel back in a week I'll go by and ask for it back. Henry waves Hanna off as she leaves. Henry is hoping he helped make her day a little better.
With that it was time to go to class. With helping Hanna out Henry and Oscar didn't have much time left. Oscar asked Henry if he wanted to jog to class. It was a good idea but he wasn't sure if they would make it. Henry shook his head in agreeance and grabbed Oscar, putting him over his shoulder. Just then he saw Nikolay he heard his half heartedly as he somewhat interrupted him saying "Got to go" as he sprints past activating Jahreszeiten Wechseln in its Spring configuration. Henry increased himself to run faster. Dashing through the hallway him and Oscar rushed through the people still in the halls. Henry makes a sharp turn into the classroom and puts down Oscar while deactivating his noble arm. He heads over to his seat away from people today because he knows he must smell even worse now. At least they made it.
Jordan's smile had calmed and erased the last reservations he held for Jordan. He grew up under the notion that he needed to be wary of people with Noble Arms. Having discovered his Noble Arm in his teens made it difficult to get closer to those around him. Eventually he decided at one point to essentially ignore those that weren't already his friends or his family. However, his change to being more introverted ended up with him pushing them all away to an extent. But Jordan's smile feels like a warm reminder of what he let slip out of his life because of Jahreszeiten Wechseln.
Bringing Henry back to his surrounding was the sound of an alarm. He out of habit felt his phone to tell if it was his alarm but no, it was actually Jordan's alarm. The momentary relieve he had that the alarm got replaced by panic when Jordan confirmed that class was soon. As Jordan ran out of the gym to grab his book room Henry thought Yeah, there should be just enough time for that. Then Mr. Cinter told them to leave Henry more or less jogged out of the gym with Oscar. Oscar broke off with henry to go do something. Henry more just nodded in acceptance. He just began to walk there since he had time to kill and it has been a good day so far.
On the way there he began to do the mental checklist to make sure he was ready. He Checked off every item he would bring to class. But something struck him like a lightning bolt. I haven't showered... Henry growing up with so many sisters got into the habit of almost never going anywhere unclean or smelly. He stopped dead in his tracks as he lifted his arm to take a whiff. Maybe it won't be to ba- Oh god, it is as bad as he thought. Henry's nose feels like it had been assaulted by his scent. He has to take a shower. But how, he decided that he was good to go and wasted the last bit of time he had on a leisurely walk through the halls. He hates doing this but he was just going to have to wipe himself down with a the towel he keeps in his backpack. Just need to get to the bathroom.
He ran swiftly through the halls towards the bathroom. The scene must of looked like a freight train had entered the school. As he was getting near the bathrooms he saw Oscar and a girl. She presumably had Oscar's jacket on her head and was dripping with some sort of drink. Oscar seemed to be trying to council her, maybe? It honestly didn't matter anymore to Henry because she seemed to be in need of a towel and he had one. Slowing his speed to a jog, he approached the two of them. Still around three meters away Henry projected his usually quiet voice to let them know he was there. "Hey Oscar, what is going on?" Henry looked at the girl and began to take out the towel out of his backpack "Here you seem like you need a towel" as he extends the towel toward her, hoping she would take it.
Once I was done talking Oscar began his introduction. Wait Sword of Piece? I thought it wa- Before Henry had the time to question what the name of Oscar's Arm, the golden light appeared on his chest as he rips the sword of whatever out of his chest. Henry looked at the beautiful sword and immediately liked it. That looks Magical as Hell! Henry was for a moment stunned but then his mind refocused to what Oscar was saying. Oh he is from the Arizona? Where is Arizona? As once again he didn't have time to recall information as he gives even cooler information. As Oscar plunges the sword toward, Henry started to cringe immediately as he was expecting to hear aloud cling or worse the wrenching sound of bending steal. But to Henry's very visible surprise it entered the ground without a noise of even the slightest effort. Is it super sharp? Does it go trough any obstacle? As Oscar explained Henry began to realize that he hasn't had his Arm for long by the way he doesn't seem to know it's properties very well. Or he isn't giving all the details because it would be to his detriment.
Oscar's comment about people not wanting to fight me would be helpful but I should let them know I am not that skilled. With a slightly disappointing smile on henry's face "Actually, while I have the body and Arm to be a combat expert I lack a lot of practical experience."
The question Oscar posed went right over Henry's head. Guns weren't something that he interacted with. He is not sure if he ever even held a gun before. He realized at that moment that he should take time to learn more about them for safety. I can probably ask Jordan about them or Oscar, he does sound American after all. Wait is that where Arizona is?
As Henry finally had time to put his thoughts together he was ready to make a comment on it would make him an excellent deterrent but Jordan beat him to the punch on that. Not like that was a difficult accomplishment. So Henry nodded along in agreement. He would make a great sparing partner with that huh? I should ask if he would be interested in that after we guard the senators.
As Jordan explains how it reloads Henry more or less nods to show he understand. On the inside he is realizing his illiteracy towards guns is far deeper then he thought. As he primes it Henry gleamed that you pull the small metal piece then you need to pull the trigger. He thinks he knows that much now which is 100% more then he knew before so cool. As Oscar seems really impressed Henry is left there feeling like the new guy who can't tell why it is even cool.
As Oscar then asked how my defensive ability works "Oh yeah. Since I will need a little help with it I should let you know. I take physical Force and I can absorb some of it in me and then I can use it to put a shield on myself or other people. I'm going to begin charging it up now for safety. So if you guys could maybe help me get a jump start on it that would be great." Henry smiles at them hopefully convincing them to help cause he would have to do a lot of needless exercise to build up enough to stop something serious. "Let us work together well to complete the mission." Henry says while still smiling now extending a hand out to shake on their new team.
As Jordan was introducing himself and his Arm La Longue Carabine Henry couldn't help and take in the beauty of Jordan's Arm. Henry has never liked how his Arm looked exactly, He thought of them as excessively bulky. But he couldn't say he didn't like the abilities they gave. A good bit of versatility as an close-quarter combatant mixed with a few nifty support options for himself and his allies.
As Jordan finished his introduction Henry spoke up to introduce himself, "Pleased to meet the both of you, I'm Henry Durand and I was born and raised in Worms, Germany. My noble arm is Jahreszeiten Wechseln." Henry summons his gauntlets with a dark yellow crystal embedded into the gauntlets, they had a bronze finish to the metal. "Jahreszeiten Wechseln is meant for close combat but for this I am going to do my best to use it's more defensive ability to defend the senators. Just need some prep to get it going. I would love it you guys would help me with that, I'll tell you more about it later." After addressing the group Henry turns to Oscar, "So, what can the Sword of truth do?"
Henry just stood there in silence, waiting for hopefully one of the other people in the email or the teacher. Henry got nervous suddenly when he realized he doesn't know the other two people that would be coming. Oh God, what if they know me? There is so many people here I haven't learned that many peoples name. Mostly people around my own rank to start. Please don't know me. Almost as soon a these thoughts had left, leaving behind a slight uneasiness, The silence broke.
"Oh hey Henry! Hey do you have any idea of why we are here?"
Henry Turned to see who it was that called out to him, Hopeful that it was one of the few people that he has registered into his memory. Fuck Henry thought as he stared at the guy. I'll play it off cool and just answer the question I'll probably find out from the teacher. I hope, "Sorry, I really don't know what we are here for either. It's nice to know I was not the only one to show up though."
Just as Henry got done with answering the other guy a new voice entered the room.
"Oscar Helgrem and Henry Durand right? I'm Jordan Quinn, any idea what is going on? It's kinda strange. What the hell is this all about exactly? Why would the three of us be called here?"
I recognize him! Henry was relieved only for a moment until Mr. Cinter had broken into the Gym. After some introductions Henry now knows that The guys name is Oscar. Sword of Truth sounds cool. Well I knew I was was going to accept this from the start but hey now I really want to join this. I waited for Jordan to finish what he was saying. "I will be joining. Jahreszeiten Wechseln and I will protect the two senators." Henry's job was serious so he will treat it as such.
Along Henry's jog he decided to postpone his look for Virgil, searching for water. Henry found a fountain and began to gulp water down until his stomach was near full. "I should really buy a water jug to take with me" Henry proclaimed as he took a seat waiting for his body to settle.
Henry began to switch from sitting on the grass to laying down, laying his arms behind his head and crossing his left leg over his right. The warming sun made Henry's muscles loosened up. It was peaceful enough for him to fall asleep. He began to imagine his favorite spot back in Worm where he would rest post workout.
Just as he was truly relaxing, he was brought back to reality by a notification on his phone. That is enough of a break. Henry sat up and looked at his phone. He was expecting a message from maybe his mother, she has always been a worrywart. Much to his surprise it's a group email. Henry read it somewhat quickly. He got what he needed to know. Honestly he was excited, if he does a good enough job of whatever this is then it will help him move up the ranks. Having felt the need to start by making a good impression he jogged to the gym to save time. The entire time he had a noticeable smile. As he got to gym office no one was there. He just stood there anticipating what this might be.
Henry usually focused on his running when he was exercising but today was a different. He had 2 thoughts that kept running through his mind. Swimming and learning Filipino. His run would randomly stop as he would just end up looking towards the pool thinking that would be such nice exercise. Mix that with his halfhearted attempt at practicing greetings led to a bit of an awkward spectacle.
Eventually, Henry finished his run and took seat under a tree to rest a bit and try to clear his thought. I guess I'll try to take care of the things I can. Henry hops up onto his feet then leaps to a sturdy tree branch and begins to do one armed pull ups, switching off every 20. Okay, so Virgil Vazquez is the one renting the pool right now. I could just go ahead and ask him if i could use the pool. I even heard he has been letting normal people in! Wait wait, What if it's a trap to get more cronies? Do I mind being one of his goons. Henry switches from pull ups to upside down crunches. I mean if he is a upstanding guy I don't think it would be that bad. He hops off when he is done and decides to go and talk to him. the best way to figure things out is to be direct. The problem is he has no idea where Virgil is. Henry just decides to jog around until he finds him.
The Gauntlets are on both arms and the crystal's color changes on which season is in use. Green for Spring, Red for Summer, Yellow for Autumn, and Blue for Winter. To change the seasons you need to charge up for 4 minutes then choose the next season. If you do not choose you miss your chance and you have to wait another 4 minutes to change.
Lively Spring- .Jahreszeiten Wechseln changes to a vibrant green as you summon Spring. Lively Spring can be applied to living organisms by touching them. In plants, fungi, and microbials it drastically accelerates growth. In animals and humans it strengthens them. The extent of both is determined by how much Henry feels for them. In the case of humans those feelings don't have to be good. If Henry applies it to himself he gets twice as strong.
Scorching Summer: Jahreszeiten Wechseln changes to a red as you call upon Summer. During this time you are able to absorb fire and heat. You can release this energy as explosions from the gauntlet. As the heat builds in Henry's body, with this he becomes more aggressive
Bountiful Autumn: Jahreszeiten Wechseln changes to a yellow-brown as you summon Autumn. While Autumn is active half of the physical damage you take is stored in you, the other half hits you normally. The energy can be called as a shield for yourself equal to what you took or you put the shield on multiple people, dividing the stored power to each person.
Chilling Winter: Jahreszeiten Wechseln change to a cold blue as you call upon Winter. Your strikes with the gauntlet weaken your opponent as Winters chill sets into them. This causes Their body to saps their strength away from their body until all they can do is lay down. This happens after quite a few landed punches or holding them for 2 minutes. However the opponent is immediately aware of the power when they are hit as they can feel it immediately.
Misc. Skills:
Henry has a few years in mixed martial arts. He knows a lot about plants and growing them. He is really good at housework. He would also say his cooking is something to behold. Doing mixed martial arts had taught him the basic of first aid as he got injured quite often
Personality: Henry is someone who will go out of his way to help someone even to the detriment of himself. He is generally kind if not a little quiet when he is by himself. He finds himself trying to help support other peoples goals rather then his own. He is attracted to people with strong convictions and people with high intelligence. He is easily manipulated as he usually takes things at face value. He is quick to defend someone in need of help.
Fears: Fears that he won't be able to provide the life his family deserves.
Bio: Henry's Family has deep ties with Germany, his Family line has lived in the Worms area of Germany for a long time. It is truly where Henry and his family calls home. His father had an office job and his mother worked part time at a grocer. Henry wasn't an only child for long, as it seemed with a successful career and a loving family led to another child after another. By the time Henry was 13 he had 6 siblings(Ben, Jane, Julia, Cristina, Lea, Hannah.) Everything was going great until the spring of his 8th year in school.
Henry always was interested in biology, and more specifically plants to the point he had a small garden he managed at home. He was heading out with some friends to goof off after school when he saw a small wilting plant. He approached it and while he inspected it his Noble Arms activated and the plant began grew rapidly. Henry was more curious than scared, so he continued until it bared flowers. It was then when his friends reported it to the police. After all, they only knew that he had activated his Noble Arms. He got into a little bit of trouble but not much. Soon it became clear what repercussions this would have.
Soon his father realized his options for career were gone. His mother was getting less hours at her job. His siblings were beginning to get bullied. It continued like this for years, they essentially got pushed out of their home. Henry started taking care of more things to help ease the burden he had unintentionally put on his family. Henry's life goals had switched from being for his success to living for his family. The bullying and out casting his family received created a divide in Henry's mind that was supported by the mentality he grew up in that he should use himself as an asset. That led him to deciding to go to Trinidad Academy to hone himself.
He started to prepare first by getting himself fit. Much to his surprise he developed his muscles very quickly, he thanked his parents for this. He started to learn mixed martial arts where he was confronted quickly that although he had the body needed to be a good fighter he lacked the mindset for it. Henry realized that fighting wasn't his natural state. He found himself hating sparing but he chose to set aside these feelings for his family and continued training. The day came to send off to Trinidad Academy, Henry hugged his family and flew off. He is nervous but he must succeed for his family.
