Mist immediately nocked and loosed a second arrow at the troll, his primary focus remaining unchanged even after he'd witnessed the stirges falling upon those that had joined the fight. The others had made rather quick work of them all on their own with one of the winged creatures now a frozen corpse and a few others suddenly dropping out of the air.

The barkeep however was still locked in combat with the largest beast, effectively keeping it's attention on him.

A lack of fear from the human shouldn't have been a surprise to the Tabaxi. The man did own an establishment built atop a dungeon after all. Days bereft of such chaos had to be so few as to be nonexistent. He watched in mild admiration as the proprietor, with no hesitation, jumped head first into danger just as the troll moved to meet him. In that moment however, as the large beast swung at the would be assailant, Mist saw an opportunity.

There was an order hanging in the thick of the air. One given by someone of authority he was sure. Something about hitting the other flying creatures but whatever it was, the whistle of fletching by his ear drowned it out. He fired at the troll.

"Troll!"

Mist didn't have time to comment on the girl's plight before the tavern was returned to the throws of chaos once again. Just as Nei finished explaining why she had braved her way inside, a monstrosity clambered out of the hole leading to the dungeons below. Everyone fell into a panic, save for the adventurers to which there were plenty and, to Mist's surprise, Nei herself. She moved forward, her every step one of confidence and poise and of an energy that seemed entirely opposite of the girl he'd witnessed diving under the tables just a moment ago. Then, in complete defiance of the grotesque thing before her, she spoke.

"Insolence!"

"Faaaascinating." He cooed as he moved away from her and into the shadows she'd been so kind to provide earlier. "What shaaall youu do... sorrrrceress." Where previously there was her hand, in his palm was now a bow.

Tamiko didn't ring any bells.

Mochizuki added it to a longer list he kept in his head, one that grew with each passing day... and yet somehow at the same time... it shrank. Weren't there more people? He pulled at memories as far back as he could, his fingers stretching toward the fuzzier edges of what he could recall. There were names back there. Names to faces that were once important but the faces were beginning to change. Unique features were replaced with those unassuming until they had bled together into... a bland peach colored circle. Then the color faded until he was staring at just a grey smudge... and then a fog... and then... What... was I just talking about?

“You’re from Hinata, aren’tcha? Just here for the A/C?”

Hinata. The heat. Air conditioning. That's right. He blinked. "Y-yeah. Ha. Guilty." Mochizuki turned toward the girl with a sheepish smile and then shook his head. "I uh... was supposed to catch a shuttle but not surprisingly managed to miss it." He sighed. "Was a stupid mistake. Left work later than I thought I would... which...speaking of..." He paused for a moment as he mused over her earlier comment. "How'd you know I was from Hinata?"

There was no question why he'd never taken the time to wander in before. This was not his usual style. The colors were too contrasting to his own. The walls were covered in images of faces he didn't recognize. The sound, though played soft, threatened to grate at his ears. He almost shivered... and then did when the cold gripped him.

Sweating was also not his style, so here he would stay until the next shuttle arrived. He had time. Maybe too much. He mused, returning a nod to the woman and then moving to look at his watch again.

“...are still asking for citizens to call in to report any sightings. The hotline number is…”

His eyes snapped away from his wrist before he could read it and over to the source of the only kind of sound he recognized. The mysterious was never that far away. Always waiting around a corner or tucked away in some dark alley ready to snatch at unsuspecting prey. Odd sightings in the surrounding areas, lights in the sky, murders and disappearances. His wrist got a little heavier. Mochi wasn't the only one who paid attention, but he was one of the few magnetically drawn to it. The voice of apathetic urgency from the anchor was the same one he'd heard a thousand times before... and she was tugging at him again.

"Anybody new?" Mochi asked, finding a chair next to the girl. His shoulder bag came off and found a place on the back of his seat. "Sorry I just..." He pointed at the phone. "... I couldn't help but overhear."
