I am personally more than fine with the GMs giving someone more leniency than the stated rules because they explained their absence, especially with as serious a situation as described. I didn't really think that was something ever neccesary to discuss.

I know @Half Pint said we could be flexible with canon but come on let's try to be a little believable.
I'm definitely a no for discord for the RP. It's extremely rare for a roleplay to thrive with an active discord. All of the chat being done in the OOC keeps the thread active.
If Micki were to step down as Batman I'd rather I take on the role and make it a team sheet since my Robin's directly connected to the story and character already written.
I personally think that's largely an excuse people use for games to die, the few multi year games on the server at the moment largely (maybe even entirely I just don't trust that I am being exhaustive) have discords as do the most active by post count. I don't think it has ever had as much impact on whether or not a game works as people have presumed.
That said as I mentioned I don't think it is required either, just a thought given we had someone struggling with keeping up with ooc chatter.
Which ironically this probably isn't helping.

But just so you know I support it being SWORD, both for narrative reason and for my well established I prefer us to interact with what each other is already doing approach.

I'd be happy to move to this if that's what the consensus is, however I personally am not the biggest fan of using Discord. I am rarely on when most of the chatter happens and it feels a lot harder for me to catch-up using it! I'm also a bit of a luddite when it comes to checking it, I had my notifcations turned off on it until very recently because I was tired of my phone pinging at night!
No pressure from me to switch, just an observation against other long running games on the guild.
Should have my time to finish writing this post I started a few days ago by this afternoon. Also, it is really hard to keep up with the OOC and seeing what is important or not.
Personally found it strange there hasn't been a transition to a game discord with these games for exactly that reason, even if its just as simple as having an ooc and an important messages channel.
Any comments on Kree don't matter to me. They're part of a plot I'm doing for the GMs so it's upto them.
My bugger question is why have SHIELD be involved when multiple people have established SWORD in the RP?
Because Skyrim has taught me shields beat swords.
@Ezekiel Would it work better if i said that he essentially wants to turn the Accurser Corps into a new Lantern Corp specifically dedicated to the Justice of the Kree Empire, but he is alone in this endeavour as the rest of the Accusers don't want to kick the Lantern hornet-nest. I just want an excuse for him to come by himself, rather than the entire armada showing up around Earth, because that would definitely cause problems for everyone.
So, not Exiled, just the entire rest of the Accuser Corp just like "Ok, you wanna do that, it's on your head. You go, buddy."
So, the post I am writing right now for the conclusion of my space battle event with Sep involves Ronan as very much a part of the political apparatus of the Kree Empire as it relates to their efforts to prevent the Skrulls/Reach from taking over Earth.
I don't want to expand more because I don't want to spoil event details Sep has planned but basically it is quite important for the short term Ronan or the Kree Empire isn't rocking up on Earth. The details in your sheet didn’t sound like this was meant to be their short term enemy though so I didn't think that would be an issue.
I have 2-3 Emma Frost posts before I'm going to start the Gala. Closer to 2 but we'll see how wordy I'm getting.

Carol will be there if after the announcement the world was also totally going to get invaded on the same day the Warbird swings an invite, but I don't mind if that's not the case. Hype to be a part of the event but I understand if Emma wouldn't do that.
