I'd like to think I've matured with age but then on weekends I watch cartoons and eat too much sugar cereal in my pajamas so if anything I've stayed the same.

If there's anything that brings this community together it is dunking on people who bring their own shit onto themselves. It's like schadenfreude!

@SleepingSilence Instead it was a near two and a half hour exercise in stupidity where nothing made sense and it thought it could distract the audience by going "Hey it's that thing you know" instead of trying to make a world or characters that are interesting or good.

And I would have watched something or even read something if it was done in a manner where I didn't have to wonder what the author's opinion on ethnic cultures was two minutes in
@SleepingSilence

I just think it's hilarious that you're talking about plot holes when Ready Player One is a movie that doesn't even make sense within its own internal logic.

Also you'll forgive me if I'm not exactly going to read a full article that has me rolling eyes at the author's poor attempts at 'humor' rather than serious criticism.
@SleepingSilence Zero substance? I strongly disagree. Fury Road didn't sit down and exposition because it's the fourth in the franchise and the point of the movies is basically to just have another story in the world as seen through the eyes of Max. But even with that the movie did a fine job setting up the conflict, the characters, and the narrative without having to spell it out.

I'm curious how it got worse the more you thought about it. And what you expected from a movie called Mad Max: Fury Road.
@SleepingSilence That's funny since almost all of them are some of the highest regarded movies of the year.

i just saw infinity war and if i'm honest it was underwhelming. i was expecting the airport scene from civil war but better but it just didn't hit that spot like civil war did. it was still a good movie, but it just wasn't as good as i was hoping it'd be. it's probably an 8.5/10 for me.

You've also spent the better part of a year having people hype it up. But now to address the spoiler stuff.

I've been told I hate everything, and granted I'm probably overly cynical before I watch most things. But maybe more movies and shows can be good first. ;P

I think you'll find that for every bad movie that comes out there are five good ones right around the corner. This year alone we've had:

-Thoroughbreds
-Isle of Dogs
-You Were Never Really Here
-Tully
-American Animals
-Ocean's 8
-Sorry to Bother You
-Mission: Impossible - Fallout
-First Man
-A Quiet Place
-Oh Lucy!
-BlackKklansman
-Have A Nice Day
-Puzzle
-Beirut
-Disobedience
-Love, Simon
-Mary and the Witch's Flower
-The Miseducation of Cameron Post
-Hearts Beat Loud
-Hereditary
-Searching
-Leave No Trace
-Eighth Grade
-Avengers: Infinity War

Once more into the abyss
*I'm also being slightly hyperbolic, I don't expect much from most movies*

I think I found the problem. Movies are dope. Expect things from them!
